I’ve never played Alone in the Dark but I love horror so that’s grounds enough for me to try it. I probably won’t be buying it anytime soon though (I’m still playing through the Dark Pictures Anthology).
If it’s clicking with you thematically or in any other way I say go for it!

A family friend has a Scarlet Macaw for a pet. Her name is Lady. She is so big but super friendly. She loves to talk and loves to give kisses.
This isn’t a picture of Lady but this is the kind of bird she is. She’s so beautiful. The family friend also keeps miniature horses but that’s for another thread lol.

I’ve been punished many times by Survivor teammates because I am trying to complete the hatch challenge. There’s so many times where my teammates work with the Killer to eliminate me. I report it every time but not once have I ever gotten a notification that action was taken.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. I’m glad to see someone else also thinking about it. I agree, hiding scratch marks and pools of blood would give Survivors a better chance at resetting especially after a bad unhook.

Yes big time! I couldn’t believe that the gen in the theater is the only gen on that side of the map.

My favorites are the Blood Magic outfit for Mikaela (which looks sooo cool!) and the Doctor’s Blood Shock costume. I can’t wait for them to come out. 🎶🩸🎶

Be aware of check points. If you are used to waiting at check points to see where to run next like shack door then be careful because the new killer will try to hit you in those spots.
If you hear his neck open up, ew gross, then you know he is going to use the power. So try and dodge it and stay away from walls during this time.
It’s tough because it creates mind games of where to dodge just like Deathslinger and Huntress.

Of course, it was a match where the survivor's skill in chasing shined, but it also proved that even if you make a mistake, a survivor will not be sacrificed in 5 gen just by being tunneled by the killer. Unless the survivor is playing around, the gen will definitely complete.

I had a game yesterday on Survivor where we only gave up two hooks total. We completely outplayed the Killer. I was opening the exit gates and then the match abruptly ended. So naturally I thought that the Killer DC’d right? Well in the end game results it showed that it was the Killer who disconnected as well as ME!
I didn’t get any bloodpoints and my little icon had the disconnect icon even though I didn’t dc at all. At this point I don’t even know if the Killer legitimately disconnected or not, but we both missed out on Bp as if we both did.
This has happened before and I’m worried that I’m going to get a DC penalty. I haven’t even purchased the new chapter yet because I’m so worried about it.
What’s worse is that I pride myself on never disconnecting no matter the circumstances. It’s just so sad that this is happening.

Brutality is another debate altogether, and where I feel most killers land. But like disturbing on multiple levels? You're talking about like 3-4 of them. I'd like to see a really eldritch killer who is genuinely terrifying; maybe we'll get a Lovecraftian, Mindflayer type killer that will set a new bar.

Yeah, first time I was on backwater swamp and healing. My character literally stopped the heal, threw down a pallet and ran herself to the Killer who was quite a distance away.
A few days ago, I would instantly DS a killer in a trial but I wasn't doing it as I never use that perk. It was obviously a fellow Survivor hacker so I turned the game off and haven't played since.
This has gone way too far for me. I didn't want the Killer thinking I was cheating on purpose, so I left.
Oh my gosh!!! And you can’t record on Switch can you? Wow… this is really awful. Maybe reporting might still be of some help even without video proof?
Edit: Maybe you can play in a 4 person swf or 5 people kill your friends? I’m sure people on the forums would want to play with you! It’s sad leaving another player out of the fog 😞

Dread. The feeling of absolute dread. The way the Sanctum rises up in the middle evokes a place of great power. There is danger with many small places to hide. The danger makes you feel small and insignificant.

Scary. Eerie. It nails the feeling of “something not quite right in suburbia”. You can tell a great evil has occurred just by the hue of the sky. The preschool looks sad and the basement of it radiates evil. Massive success.

It nails the feeling of evil in the air. It’s quiet, I can imagine breezy, and secluded. Like something happened and everyone disappeared without a trace. Just from the color scheme alone it’s obvious that you don’t want to be caught out in the streets.

There’s definitely a feeling of sadness. Of a time long since past with the boats now lying in the mud. A past time of grandiosity that now serves as a shadow of its former self. It feels like the void but for the boats.

Highly disturbing. The cannibalistic aspect idea of it is so disturbing that it still gives me chills to this day to play on it. Dark, muddy, evil. Like the map is swallowing you up.
