It’s too bad this combo is getting nerfed. I don’t like it when anything gets nerfed in the game, Killer or Survivor side. I wish MFT stayed the way it used to be. I wish Adrenaline stayed the way it used to be. I wish STBFL stayed the way it used to be. I wish instead of nerfing Bhvr instead just buffed counters.

Yo Count,
How you getting on?
If you're still having issues you can try resetting your headset:
One thing that would be interesting to know is does the issue go away if you turn off 3D audio?
Yeah maybe turn the 3d audio on or off. Also maybe try using an auxiliary cord with the headset so all the sound data gets transferred without any interference.

I'm pretty sure that the only killer thus far to receive a mark of negation is Vecna. The Entity decided that he was too powerful and potentially a threat, so he engraved him with the mark, severely reducing his magical potential. While there are arguably other killers that seem worthy of receiving the mark, such as Dredge, Freddy and Wesker, I feel like Nemesis feels especially deserving. During the events of Resident Evil 3, we are shown that Nemesis is practically unkillable, with explosions from rocket launchers merely stunning him for a short period of time. He has the ability to infect people with the T-virus, run at incredible speeds, punch through walls with ease and super jump over long distances. All whilst in his weakest form. Given enough time, if the Entity had placed no restrictions on him, he would be able to grow to such an enormous size that he would literally engulf the whole trial. (SPOILERS FOR RE3) It took being shot by an extremely powerful railgun and being bombed by a nuke to seemingly finally destroy him (SPOILERS OVER). I don't know, it just kinda seems like Nemesis has unlimited potential and in-game he's reduced to a punch, a whip and a couple of zombies. Even pallets hurt him, when they should break on impact and do absolutely nothing. Because of his extreme nerfs from the Entity, I feel like Nemesis should 100% have a mark of negation on him. Do you agree?
EDIT: Alright, thanks for the clarification. I thought that the Entity gave the mark to anyone powerful in order to greatly nerf them, but it gives it to people it views as a threat to itself.
Imo no. There are a couple of other Killers that I can think of that would deserve the mark before Nemesis.

Healing and dropping a pallet are actually two different types of actions that happen to be bound to the same button. You can change them.
The ones listed in the original post are not able to be bound to different buttons. Like recovering and escaping through the hatch when in the dying state.
Thanks for the education.
-
The only time I ever thought Wesker was good was at the beginning of Resident Evil 1.
-
It’s whatever. It usually just makes me laugh.
-
It would be nice if you could hold crouch or run while crawling to negate healing but still can escape through hatch.
-
That would work for healing by pallets too. I always drop them on accident.

What do y'all do for audio? The game sounds so muffled with both my headsets.
Also, did you set the game to Performance Mode or Resolution Mode?
I like resolution mode but most people like performance mode. Resolution gives you better visuals, performance gives you better frame rate. I also put the fsr all the way up even on PS5.
For audio I use my tv speakers or any type of headphones. The options might have a setting for headsets.
-
It’s fun and I love it but it is different since you can’t really pick a customized loadout.
I believe 1v4 is still the more balanced mode. It feels more technical. And still very intimate so that the Killer and Survivors get to know each other 💀🔦

@Leonardo1ita said:
Let's talk about it.
What do you think?
Is this good for the game? Is this bad?
Is it gonna make tunneling more needed, considering survivors now have more time to finish a gen and then go for a save last second?
Or is it gonna incentivise spreading pressure once in a 3v1 better?
What do you think?
It’s not very much but it is something. For most teams they will still probably unhook right away. It will slightly weaken the strategy of Killers who leave the hook then return to confirm second stage.
It’s a good change. It teaches Survivors to let their friends cook a bit more while also nudging the Killer to spread pressure. This is actually a change I wanted for the Light’s Out mode.
The change is an educational one. I like it.

I'm reading the PS5 controller gets stick drift very easily 💀💀💀
I’ve heard that too but mine have all been fine. Ironically it’s usually my Nintendo consoles that get stick drift. My Wii U gamepad got stick drift when I was playing Breath of the Wild. A local repair shop agreed to repair it as an exception.
My factory release L Joy Con stick also finally gave out like 8 months ago.
Some of my PS4 controllers got stick drift (but only after playing Power Wash Simulator) I suspect that partial stick pushes can cause accelerated damage to the way the stick works.
Regardless, it can happen. I love buying controllers so its not an issue for me. I own like 4 PS5 controllers because I love the new colors they release.
I’m not 100% sure but I think all modern joysticks use a metal rod and graphene to determine where in space the stick is pushing? It’s so outdated. Companies need to increase production and make it so that they turn the sticks from graphene and metal rod (which the graphene always wears away eventually) to grid and laser. It will increase upfront controller costs but will save money over time since a laser and grid should eliminate stick drift.
Edit: It’s also the main reason I’m not buying a Playstation Portal, because I’m not going to risk the whole thing not working because the cheap sticks are the first thing to break.

Today on ps4 it's just constantly crashing, saying Dedicated Server Not Responding; Disconnecting... then the game crashes and I get a DC penalty.
Is this a frequent issue on the PS5? I never experienced this on Switch except for one three week period where the software would close.
No I haven’t had any crashes at all with Dbd on PS5.

So I recently enabled cross-progression to transfer from Nintendo Switch to a PS4 that I bought long ago and barely touched.
I bought the digital DbD game on ps4 and repurchased the DLCs I needed and paid $80 for an online membership.
Today, I ordered the PS5 and it should be here Friday.
When I get the console, do I just login to the PS Store and download the ps4 edition, then upgrade? Or do I just downloaded the PS5 version and forget about the ps4 edition?
Any advice would be helpful as I'm not familiar with much other than Nintendo and I want my PS5 to have all the progress from my Switch that I synchronized with my ps4 last week.
Yes, when you go to the Dbd product page from the PS5 store you will be able to select the PS5 version. Everything carried over seamlessly for me from PS4 to PS5.

I had the audacity to juice a wraith for 2 minutes straight and eventually went down, just for me to be humped for 2 minutes straight. I desperately tried crawling to the Huntress, so she could see the injustice and to get her to put me out of my misery and she ended up blowing my back out too, I ended up dying unfortunately. Turns out they were a duo, so there was never a chance of her finishing me off.
I usually don't care about being bm'ed honestly but it did feel bad for both killers to do it.
Did your team do gens at least?

1 million percent. Yes! Scout is my favorite class easy.

Healer is way fun. It’s such a good defense class! I love how non stop healing gives the Survivor cage states more mileage.
I’m a huge fan of defense in video games and the Healer class in this mode does not disappoint.

I've had a completely opposite experience as you, 2v8 just brought me back to DBD from a 2+ month long break actually, and I've been enjoying it so much as it is so refreshing to play Survivor with a "Class System" and roles like (Medic, Scout, Guide, etc.) really love that part of it, I just wish more of the Killers were available to choose from, but playing together as a Team with a Killer is also fun and requires some coordination!
Idk, I've enjoyed it so much that I am finally enjoying DBD again, it has been refreshing. I even logged into the Forums for the first time in nearly 6+ months now just so I can see what other people are saying about the 2v8 mode, and I was very shocked to read your post just now which is why I decided to comment.
Personally, I'm really happy that DBD made this game mode and finally actually let us play it! I wish it was staying around for longer than just only 14 days to be honest!
EDIT: My only Concern is that the Killer Que literally takes around 20+min to pop for me so that is a whole lot of sitting around and waiting for a match, I wish more Survivors were interested in playing the game mode so that Killer ques wouldn't be so long, although I suppose it must be much easier to find 2 Killers than it is to find 8 Survivors unfortunately lolYes! 100%
The classes are incredibly fun aren’t they? I’ve only tried the generator class but my mind is racing thinking about the different playstyles of the other classes. It’s like expectation exceedingly fun.

The only other game I own is The Disney Afternoon Collection, it doesn't crash but it's not an online game either.
I bought my PS4 brand new in 2018 I think.
I just never used it more than a handful of times but I got it up and running because I couldn't handle DBD on Switch any longer.
I tried everything I could. My PS4 is initializing aa I type. The screen says it will take 2 hours.
I also wonder if it's a bug happening because of cross-progression from Switch to Playstation. Like others in the bug reporting section, I have the same Friends List problems.
It’s possible. I edited my comment because it might be a problem with the cloud storage. Maybe upload some cloud data and delete it?

Only made it through one match, crashed on the second match with the same error.
I now have a 30 minute DC penalty.
I'm going to have to initialize now. I have no data to back up so I'm just going to do it.
Fingers crossed this works because I just spent all that money buying this game and DLC again because of how cross-progression with Switch is limited. I can't afford another console anytime soon.
Edit: Actually maybe it’s a cloud storage problem? Maybe try uploading data or deleting cloud data or stuff like that. Maybe something is stuck with the cloud system.

It is beyond frustrating and to think that you now have the luxury of classes, seeing auras and gens that are being worked on. I think the whole "doing gens" as an objective has run its course and needs to be replaced by something that is engaging.
I just had a game where I was the only one on gens. Trapper came to get me and I was looping him pretty long, so much that Wraith had to come and help. I juked them both and made like 10 seconds on them before they double teamed me. The whole time, seven other Survivors are fully healed and not one person was on a generator that whole time. Lol what the heck?

Does it happen with any other games? Is your PS4 used or refurbished? Those could be factors. I hope the issue goes away. It seems that no matter how hard you try to play the game something keeps stopping you.

It is ridiculously sad to watch some of the people in this community who constantly adopt this tit for tat mindset, or who say "Killers OP" "No Survs OP" or who think the other side are all skilless and scumbags.
It is so tiring to try have a discussion in any part of this community without having someone from either side saying, well actually this is worse.
Worse yet, someone complains about an unfun part of the game be it facing a nurse, doctor, a bully squad, etc, and the other side immediately takes their own frustrations and says, well actually this unfun part of the game is completely fine because I find it fun/you need strong strategies to counter the other sides BS.
It's infuriating to go against a BS addon killer as a solo chill player, just as infuriating as it is to be a trapper against a SWF using full meta, playing like it's the grand finale of the tournament of their life.
So then killers say, well nurse/spirit/blight isn't busted, she's needed to counter these 4 man squads, and survs say well I need to use these perks and items bc nurse.
Anyway, rant over, I seriously hope this community actually can be chill and not an "us vs them" roundabout.
I seriously think the game would be so soooo much better if people actually just took it easy and could overcome tilt a little better, admittedly myself included at times, and if people could understand eachother and realise that fun should be had for both sides, so even if you liked 5 blink nurse or hug tech or 4 man hatches, they're gone for a good reason.
And for god's sake stop trying to say the other sides problems don't need addressing just because you think your sides problems are worse, both sides have valid problems, and "Well this is worse actually" only ends up in arguments and making this community a horrible place to be unless you love keyboard warrioring.
Rant over ig.
Want to help me make the forum as fun as possible?

I finally bit the bullet and transferred off of Nintendo Switch. I Spent as much as I could repurchasing characters with Shards, but still ended up having to spend over $100 on characters.
I know PS4 is last generation, but wow! Coming off of 4 years playing Nintendo Switch in Docked Mode, it looks and feels amazing to me!
The only thing I'm struggling with is the controller because I'm so used to using the Switch Pro Controller which has the left thumb stick in a different place and also the "confirm" and "cancel" buttons are swapped so that's my biggest hurdle lol
All in all, I'm really glad that the devs made this happen 🙌 🙏
I was so on edge seeing the sparks during generator repair and the flashing red exit gate lights 😆 We don't have those effects on Switch
It'll be quite a bit until I can afford a PS5, but I'm so happy that I have good graphics and performance now!

Keeping track of used pallets is fairly easy on open maps like blood lodge. Maps like The Game however results in many cases of turning the corner and only finding splinters on the ground. Doesn't help that there's very few window vaults which would be permanent tools to use. That's one reason that I use Blindness addons on killers like Freddy who have them.
Awesome. Everything you’re saying makes sense.
-
@LordGlint said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3766399#Comment_3766399
Not really arguing for a nerf, just feel like it's disingenuous to claim this perk ONLY is useful to newbies. Most pallets have multiple places they can spawn. Memorizing the map won't let you know which pallet location is currently in play. It also won't let you know which pallets have also been used by teammates. This is EXTRA helpful on indoor maps like The Game where you cant check if a pallet is used or not from afar.
No disingenuousness, only complete ignorance. As I say, I’m a low mmr player so my perspectives may be limited.
But you make a good point. It can help expert players at a glance when it comes to dead zones. However I will offer a counter anecdotal experience in that I have played against Survivors that I know pay attention to pallets and the deadzones. I’ve played Survivors that don’t run WoO but for sure keep track of what pallets they have and haven’t seen.
I tried to say that experts get “very little” but I see it still came off as ONLY. Again, it’s just my ignorance. Thanks for keeping me sharp. Hope you have fun matches @LordGlint

Some killers make virtually no noise at all when they are moving around, such as skull merchant, or Pyramid head or wesker, leatherface (he has chainsaw but is quiet lol). They are extremely quiet, making undetectable quite good on them.
But would it really be so overpowered if:
- Trapper
- Demogorgon
- Dredge (Part of his power is to be undetectable but he is one of the loudest killers in the game)
- Knight
- Nemesis
- Oni (when not in power, in power it makes sense)
- Singularity
If these killers weren't so loud?
Then you have stealth killers like wraith, and ghost face who snarl and have the "wooshing" sound effect when they are nearby, negating their power.
Because those are nice Killers. The nice Killers make noise to give Survivors a chance. Notice that it’s all the blood-crazed Killers that are so quiet. There’s your explanation.

It’s best to contact support in these situations if you’ve already gone through all the steps to transfer and it still doesn't work.

I've thought about this for a while but I'd like to hear any downsides I'm not seeing... How would you feel if the game allowed a downed survivor to take an earlier leave than the 4 minutes (?) On the ground after they have been slugged? I think that would help with games where it feels like the survivors are holding on to another's ankles and dragging them underwater with them. I would say the context to activation could be:
1. Potentially only available if you're 1 of 2 survivors left in the game or if all survivors are downed.
2. Only available after maybe 2 minutes on the ground so the last survivor up doesn't have to survive for a full 4 minutes with a potential end game set up where most pallets have already been dropped.
3. Opens up more tactical game play for survivors so you allow the individual to at least feel more empowered as it's a race to survive that 2 minutes or so then find hatch. Makes both killer and survivor equally anxious as they have a shorter time until the game odds shift if the downed survivor drops.
4. Can count as a kill for killer but now you don't get to just rejoice as you run around the map letting survivors bleed out for 4 minutes.
Any adverse side effects?
I like it but would make it even more simple. Anytime you’re on the floor you can accelerate your bleed-out. Simple as that. That way Survivors can decide to hold out for hope or they can give up early but hurt their team in the process because they’re being impatient. That way the Survivors take full complete responsibility and accountability for their altruistic vs selfish decisions.

This bug HAS to go. This is so irritating. I was having such an awesome game on Autohaven playing singularity I had 7 hook, everyone was injured and podded up. They pop 1 gen and the last 2 gens go, they get the gate open and of course get out, tea bag, moon walk backwalks, flashbang me like they had such a solid Victory.
I would've had it in the bag. So frustrating. We need a HOTFIX ASAP sharp
Because of the gen bug I’ve been taking a more relaxed attitude into the trials as Killer. I assume the Survivors should win unless they mess up. I view myself when playing Killer as the “coordination check” for their skill. I’m probably the lowest mmr Killer that exists so if I beat the Survivors I know that they messed up and if they beat me it’s because they passed their coordination check.

Don't get me wrong,
but if the developers want to change the meta further, they need to adapt this perk.
It's time for this perk to get a cooldown.
Change my mind
As I understand it, Windows of Opportunities is a beginner-ish perk that allows less experienced Survivors to have info that lets them run tiles at an intermediate level.
There’s very little the perk can give to an expert player. It can be annoying chasing from pallet to pallet but at that point I just either commit to the chase to break pallets or disengage to hopefully catch a Survivor out of position.

None of the perks bother me. Old DH, old Ruin, or even old MFT were fine to me. That includes old UW.
