Survivor's rank up a lot easier than killers. I think the big problem is SWF and that can hit at any rank. Red rank solos just play a lot.
The thing I like playing against red ranks is that they're predictable. They're always gonna run loops certain ways etc. It's that rank 13 that's just getting his bearings that does things that throw you completely off. How can I predict someone that can't predict themselves?
-
Wait so if that's true, is Michael's hand not open when he has a tombstone piece anymore? That's...oh boy.
-
I'm pretty sure everyone here just wants someone to throw on a hook, and a lot of people would welcome your idea but not for the reasons you think friend.
-
Myers and Deathslinger have changed too from what I can tell. I was waiting for someone else to mention it. That's a weird thing not to mention in the patch notes btw.
-
I'd like a mini game for the queue system. Something simple. So when you're waiting a few minutes for a game to start when your chosen role's queue is long you can play it instead of tabbing out and watching youtube while you hover your mouse over the Dead by Daylight icon.
Everquest had a game in it where if you typed /gem it'd bring up a little tetris-esque game. Could get creative too.
-
I say gg out of habit since I've been doing it for years. I see it like how in Team Fortress 2 when you're healing team members with the medic their character automatically says thanks. It's just a dead by daylight ritual.
Alternative answer:
gg can mean one of two different things.
"Good game by dear sir or madam. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance and I hope verily that your remaining games of the day are as swell as this one."
"GIT GUD SCRUB LOL."
The true energy of the gg will never be known, and in such it is chaotic and ephemeral.

This isn't even the first time it has happened. I'm not even sure how it bugs out all the time. Magical.
-
As someone that absolutely loathes facing the huntress with every fiber of my being, I'm not really sure how you'd nerf her. She throw the massive beach balls in hatchet form. If she can't aim, she's easier than a baby nurse. If she's a rank 1 huntress, you all die instantly.
It's one of the few killers where personal skill matters.
-
Mine's locked. I unlocked a bunch yesterday in Tome 3 just messing around and some in Tome 4 today. All locked away. Secrets we'll never uncover.
-
I've been using it on Hag. It's oddly effective on her.
-
I don't know, because the icons for every killer we've had so far is a picture of their faces. What are they gonna do? Just have a black square where the killer's head would be on the killer select menu?
-
I rarely do. I don't think it does anything to be honest. Besides. It's a bloodpoint grind. It gets mindless after a bit. My games run together.
-
To be honest when I'm playing killer and looking for a hook to put someone on, they're obscured in the new system. (wiggling time limit btw) I wonder if it's an intentional information nerf or just an untested design choice?
-
I like it. I expected a bit more Hillbilly in the Hillbilly new track. Dunno why.
-
Kate would have made a lot more sense imo. Weird survivor choices this time around.
-
I like David, Oni, Clown, but I think having a Greek survivor would benefit the set. Jane, Adam and Yui don't make me think of Julius Ceaser.
It's not bad, it's just out of place like others have said.
-
Grats! That's quite the dedication!
-
My teams usually only get mercy if they get stomped hard/people dc. That said, Hags and Spirits are the nicest to me. Come to think of it, I haven't been mori'd by a hag in over a year.
-
Eh. The thing about flashlights is they only work when they're not expected. If you come barreling into a trial with a clickimus maximus then the killer is either gonna face a wall to pick up survivors or run lightborn. If you happen to see one and get the chance, there's your practice opportunity, but flashlights rely on the killer not expecting it. My flashlight saves were born from treasure chests, not ones I bring in. I'd say those are more for kick the pallet type situations.
-
The important thing here is that you were playing Myers. You let LAURIE STRODE GO.
WHAT.
No. Reevaluate your priorities.
-
Dwight, because he's the most relatable survivor to me and was my first choice. Then I was like 'I want all the teachables on him.' ...so I P3'd and got all the teachables on him. There's too much of a grind to switch mains (not that I really need to) so I'm in too deep. In serious games I'll be Dwighting for my life.
-
Bubba approves of this thread. Everyone down to the basement for the chest!
-
I guarantee there's going to be a new variation on the Hillbilly space program or someone's gonna find a way to glitch out the chainsaw overheat. Calling it now.
-
There's a high amount of wiggle room for body horror with survivor killers. Entity junk sticking out of them, faces contorted. Just plain corrupted bodies. Would be kinda neat to go the leatherface route with them. Like, they all start out locked and you're just a seething mass of Entity until you sacrifice like, 100 survivors of that type. Then you unlock corrupted versions of that survivor, plus store cosmetics.
I creeped myself out with that one. gg.
-
I've always thought a teleporting killer akin to Reaper in Overwatch would be kinda cool. Just sayin'.
Edit: When the killer teleports like this just give them a jump animation.
-
This is mine. Hillbilly is pre-nerf, haven't tried post yet.
I'm hard of hearing so Spirit's my weakest killer, which is a shame because I like her design. Ghostface I'm just always in the action with the addition of sneaking up on people. I play them all though.
-
Tenacity should be a floor sprint burst. Like, the moment you fall down you can crawl at sonic speed for about 5 seconds, then normal tenacity comes into play. Now that's tenacious.
-
The game is decided before you even load in. You're really just there to harvest bloodpoints and continue the grind.
-
The Entity despises me so much at this point that when I log in the Entity just goes 'ugh not this loser again' and it pretends I don't exist.
-
People that can aim like the huntress because if you throw a hatchet across the map you have a chance of landing it. With Deathslinger if you land a tricky shot but they're behind a tiny pebble of terrain you can't reel them in. Huntress has to reload at lockers, while Deathslinger has infinite ammo with a loading time in between shots.
I will say I hate going vs. red rank huntresses. I had an opinion but she threw an axe at it and threw it on the hook already.
-
The only buff I heard about from unreliable sources that may not be entirely fabricated is that when the plague shoots goo from her mouth she'll also shoot goo from her butt to attack behind her. That's a pretty solid buff imo.
-
The day I give a bot the hatch is the day I stop showing mercy at all. You're all bots until proven otherwise.
-
Can confirm. I think I'm bad but I'm actually worse than terrible.
-
If you're deaf, play with music in the background, or have bad speakers she's average. You're just kinda predicting routing and such. You're either good at that or you're not.
If you have really good ears, really good headphones and such you can tell exactly where survivors are and you're going to have a really easy time playing her and getting kills. That's my two cents on it.
-
We should add corn to the hallways and courtyard.
-
Planning for failure, instead of building for success.
-
I think it's because they alter the actual % every patch. They don't even have a reason. One of the developers just has a slightly/moderate/tremendous chance of doing so. It's a secret they don't want the public to know.
-
I think there's an unwritten law in this game that if you're one of the only people who bring a blood point offering the killer will always find and eliminate you first.
-
Eh. Half the old cast works the way they always did. Half the new cast completely body slams the old meta. I for one welcome the shake up.
-
If I see the OoO working on a gen, I go after them. If not, I just keep an eye on them. As long as I can keep that survivor off the objective I can break enough pallets to make the other survivors run out of ways to maneuver. Does it always work? Nah, but that's my plan. Hey. STAY OFF THAT GEN.
-
I'll throw in my two cents as a vet since others are. A well played Rank 1 huntress that doesn't miss is crushingly hard to face. If Huntress/Deathslinger hit every single shot there is no surviving. Highest skill cap.
A rank is about knowing where to place traps and how to route survivors. Trapper and Hag CAN snowball really hard, but they have to have the traps in the right spot to do so. Nurse and Spirit requires a lot of game sense.
B+ is mechanical. You have to understand your killer and when to use their power. Backrev/Oni smash, teleport to gens, when to infect things etc.
B is fundamentals. If you get the basics down and kinda have an idea of what survivors are gonna do you're usually fine, but you really can't get better at staring at people and surprising them. Sneaking maybe, so it does take some skill.
C gets basic. You have teleports/shocks/bing bongs, but you're relying on fundamentals that work with every normal killer to actually get downs. You really can't improve at hitting your M1 any harder past a certain point.
D is baseline. Smack survivor. Survivor out in open? Chainsaw survivor. It's about as basic as you can get.
Obviously this is just an opinion but that's half the fun right?
-
Let's just make everyone shirtless and force them to buy clothes. (Licensed characters will just have to be negotiated with for this important...ness.)
-
I still don't have skilled Huntress and I'm at 90+% completion. I just never play her so I don't wanna do it. The rest are just grinds. (down people with oni, pyramid head, etc etc.) So I'll go with that one.
-
I hope we have lots of fun playing together! I can't help that I'm on PC. I just never bought a console. Experienced maybe, but not a tryhard.
-
I'm still around, but I'm casual. Ranking up used to be determined by the amount of points you got in a match and that's when I did mine. Killer cube was vomit, emblems is a liiiiittle better but that's not saying a lot. Most of my memories are of Hillbilly and Nurse being absolute terrors, and looking at them now...wew.
It's a different game ain't it?
-
Nah, this game has all sorts of metrics and doodads, but none of it matters and the only permanent thing is bloodpoints. Obviously you wanna win but you have to decide if you won or not. No one cares what the Entity thinks. Dumb spider plant thing.
-
Game is too fast to stalk with him, but playing with your terror radius, cloaking and such makes him fun to play. As long as you're not on a flat map he's good at yanking people off gens.
-
I've been digging the Deathslinger lately, especially with the anniversary outfit. I'm not really sure what it is. He makes you feel confident.
-
This game hasn't been kind to Myers, even normally he's just too slow to really play because while you're standing there staring at someone the gens are popping elsewhere. The red addon is that on steroids. Like others have said, the game is over before you pop infinite T3, and if they aren't done you were probably going to be able to kill those survivors without the add ons.
-
I dunno but he's about to die for your sins.
GET ON THAT HOOK, YEET!
