I didn't read anything beyond the thread's title.
Yes.

When there's 3 or less survivors left on the map I start wandering away from gen patrol and just check out the map. Originally it was an attempt to flush out people hiding or people that don't know where the gens are, but I do it a lot and just dropped all pretenses. I like looking at the maps. Fight me.
As survivor I don't hide as much. Yes I KNOW that if the killer doesn't find you, he's wasting time and putting no pressure on the team...but I have a route planned and what if the next person doesn't and goes down in 2 seconds.
*the survivor emerges and waves you over, and clicks the flashlight. You must chase him/her now. It is the law.*

Thanks guys, you're too sweet. I'm really just a dork that likes the afterlife and death stuff way more than I should.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFwl8_VM7xYI get being scared and frustrated at the game when you're new to it, but when that wears off you're just left with goofy stuff to try. Like a horror game you've already played through and know the spooks.
Have fun with it.

Entity didn't used to block windows, and some loops could be ran infinitely without the use of a pallet. Survivors now go down eventually instead of never.
There were the moonlight bouquets which were offerings that set the time of day in the sky (new moon, full moon, etc.) You could set the time of day but otherwise it was random. Made the map lighter or darker like actual night.
Everything was slower and had more weight. You picked up survivors slower. You kicked pallets. Generators used to be unkickable at all and you couldn't regress them. Mori used to not require being hooked. You go down and you were instantly in danger.
The game has changed... a lot. You used to get free killers and survivors. I think the first one that cost money was Halloween chapter. You'd buy cosmetics from charity cases, so if someone had cosmetics that weren't bloody it meant they donated to charity. That scarecrow hillbilly player was seen in a different light.
I still don't know why some people only play one role. You paid for the entire game, why not play both roles, but I digress.
-
I dunno. I think some holiday is going on or something.
-
Tazmanian Devil from Looney Tunes
-
I look at how many points I got then then rotate to the next killer on my list. It's that killers fault, not mine.
-
I see it like Team Fortress 2. TF2 used to be a paid game but now it's free to play. They've got a serious botting problem since you can just up and make a new account. I think they should lower the base game price to like, 10 bucks but having a price tag keeps the riff raff out. (Kinda.)
-
I thought it was weird too but when I leveled my Felix he didn't get any great perks (I only give my characters 50 levels to get something good) so I have been running with visionary on him.
Outdoors it's less than meh, but indoors? Mm yes. Feels good.
-
When his bing balls drop.
-
I bought the legion body with shards I had sitting around. I'm gonna try to collect the iri shards from logging in and get a survivor outfit.
My mind says Felix but I'm also tempted by Yui/Feng.
-
The game was new and I was bored and buying games because I can. I just saw the Trapper art and gave it a try. Here I am casually messing around with it a few years later.
-
Red rank killer queues for PC dropped considerably when cross play happened, so I'm good with it.
-
A free killer would be released, and it would be Cote. Average speed killer but the store would be full of dev skins.
Mori would be Cote saying "You've done a pretty good...job so far." and snapping the survivors neck.
-
The only streamer I'm watching right now is Gawr Gura, so unless she gets some codes I'm outta luck.
-
He's alright, I like that he exists and I can play him at an okay level but I just don't. lol. (That doesn't mean he's bad I just have a lot of killers competing.)
-
But I like pressing the button, getting hit and becoming exhausted/twitchy on the ground.
-
I've always been more casual, and I feel like I'm on these forums for like an hour every night. As opposed to being in game for like, 4 hours a week. (and I'm still stuck in red/purple. Aaaaah)
I'm really impressed when I see people finishing rifts and playing all day. It's a fun game...but to play THAT much is some dedication.
-
Sounds like a bug.
-
Too much fat. Good for tacos probably.
-
In game system is good enough. Sorry you got worded.
-
Behavior bought the game from their publisher Starbreeze. I don't really see them turning around and selling it to someone else.
-
I only play on rifts and new character releases. So there are long periods where I don't play. (but not enough to knock me out of red/purple Q_Q)
I like the game, but I can't play hide and seek simulator every day like some people do.

His eyes are in his peepee. He's a peepee head.

Being a runner/first chased has that risk. Once you get the rank 1 achievement there's no real reason to worry about rank though. It does nothing for you. The best thing about being camped like that is you get out of that game fast and can do a different one. If nobody's unhooking that = no altruism either. Nobody pips in those games. It's a pure failstate.

Broke game
-
Not letting me win is pretty toxic
-
Did they ever fix killers T-posing after they fall from like 10 feet off of a platform? Soon this game will be all T-posing.
-
Spider wants skillchecks to be more involved than what they currently are.
-
Hey look it's Audrey.
-
I don't really care who we get license wise but they better have some free cosmetics on the rift. All my licensed killers are running default/prestige.
-
At the rate this game is adding characters, who knows, maybe you'll see them at some point.
I'm personally waiting for a gumshoe. We have a detective, sure, but I want a gumshoe.
-
The Hillbilly space program finally took off so they're doing moon exploration at the moment.
-
They probably just changed their mind down the road.
I wouldn't make licensed character challenges required to complete a rift, but if it's a side challenge off to the side with lore I don't think it's that big of a deal though.
-
I'm on break til the Halloween event, just play when ya want.
-
I'm a trapper main. My perk set up is Corrupt Intervention/Ruin/Discordance/-Free slot for whatever mood I'm in-
Always use a trapper bag. Doesn't matter what quality. Just use one.
What I do is place traps in routes I know I take as a survivor, or routes I see other people take as survivor. It's unusual for me to place something right under a vault or next to a dropped pallet, but they have their uses.
How I play is generally pretty simple. As soon as I spawn in I set two traps in common survivor routing areas, then look for Discordance. Is it popping off? Go get into a chase. Injure at least one, pick up traps as you pass by them. Don't run halfway across the map for one then run all the way back to the gens to set it. It's silly. If it's convenient, grab it. If not, don't.
Experience will tell you where to place traps to end loops early. If I can lock down an area I will, if not I'll always carry a trap with me to force a survivor to abandon their current loop if they're at a good spot. I want to put them between a trap and a dead zone.
Sometimes you're legit not going to be in a spot where you can win. Roll with it. I have so many ultra rare offerings on my Trapper since he's my main that if I suspect someone's gonna follow me and disarm traps I use Iri stone or the coil and let them do what they want. (It won't help them.)
A lot of Trapper's add ons are luck. Use them if you want, but assume they're gonna fail you. Always carry a bag though.
Always.
-
I play solo survivor a lot. I stopped trying to hide and usually play the runner. Will my team do gens while I'm looping? Will they all hover around like vultures waiting for me to go down? Who cares? Entity take me. My survivors die for my amusement way more often than they should.
End game save? Get in there.
Then there's the games where the killer sees me baiting him into a chase and he ignores me the entire game and the other survivors can't loop so I end up going in for saves instead, which gets me killed.
The only time I get mad at survivor is if I'm trying to do a challenge and I have to play a certain way. Let me be freeeeee.
-
I was playing survivor on swamp map and I was up against an iri hatchet huntress with a troll team of swf. I'm not sure anyone got enjoyment out of that game, but it wasn't me.
-
I dunno about you guys but as soon as I can I'm gonna get the killer serum on Myers and act like I'm stalking someone but as soon as they notice me I'm gonna charge at them.
-
Probably an odd one but Arnold Swarchengenernnrerrrrrr when he was young.
-
I'm a big hatch giver. For some reason it feels more dominant to give a survivor the hatch than killing them. I feel tougher irl when I do it.

Dumb tech me and i tunnel you to death ;D
Is that a challenge?
-
I usually make stupidly risky plays during end game collapse and sacrifice myself on purpose even if I could have just shrugged my shoulders at my team and ran away....so checks out.
-
Some killers are dependent on their add ons. You're pretty much deleting half the killer cast if the game last too long, while survivors can always repair gens.
Also self care was nerfed to keep survivors off gens longer. If they're not healing guess what they're gonna do~ ...not find teammates lol.
I get the idea, but a lot of unique playstyles are based off add ons and perks. We'd all get a vanilla experience five minutes into the match and that's cool sometimes...but now you're dooming everyone to eat vanilla with sprinkles for the rest of their life.
Also after they die. So vanilla forever.
-
It's monkey paw time.
Wish granted, but the survivor bots are incredibly toxic swf style teabag clickers every game playing optimally.
-
I'm gonna be the odd one out and call out that you got 31,000 blood points, 1k from a perfect game.
The SWF is just a memory now, but those bloodpoints are forever.

In a lot of games I've found you don't know what the bad words are until you say it and someone freaks out.
However, the practice of shouting every bad word imaginable as soon as you get into a voice lobby seems to be considered to be in bad taste.
A clever workaround I've found is figuring out what the bad word is in another language and using that instead as a substitute. They're clueless and you're satisfied.
