I guess today is the last day i play as killer
-
I've seen a lag switcher and this is something i cant prove but i think maybe perhaps i've seen few killers and survivors using slight speed hack.
I had few killers that weirdly catched me from other side of a jungle jim in a second and ive had few survivors i felt like i couldnt catch even with bloodlust. These are the hackers we should be more worried about since its not as obvious.

You dont have the right to restrict what other people can say, nor demand punishment for it.
BHVR howevet can restrict what it allows on its privately owned platforms.
Never did i say i have the right nor did i say i want the right, nor did i say people shouldnt be allowed to say what they want. Please dont put words into my mouth :) However i would like the company to punish people that take it too far little better than they do now, and in this i mean people who really take it to personal insults or racism or disabilities.

But who defines what is an insult? Anybody could become insulted by anything. So, who becomes the judge and jury there?
That thought process is a very slippery slope into totalitarianism. I could say something that I find to be perfectly innocent, but if you take offense to it, then did I do something "illegal" (for lack of a better word)? Who decides it? Who looks into the context? Who checks to see where the person who made the statement was coming from? Maybe they were offended by actions that were taken on them in game and are defending themselves.
Again, "no one should have the right" is dangerous territory to go down. It's better to help pick people up when needed than to smother society completely.
I dont mean to take people's rights to talk away no, i just simply think people should have more i dont know maybe empathy towards others, maybe respect? I don't think its normal when someone insults you after a game where they eather died or escaped or killed everyone or noone. By insulting i mean the truly negative things like attacking how someone looks like or calling them cancer or autistic which i personally truly hate. Or being racist and just really nasty. Small things like oh no you are a jerk you noob those people should be able to handle and laugh about. I truly mean the bad stuff which i have lately seen a bit too much.
Everyone has the right to express themselfs you are correct but everyone should also think before opening their mouths if its 100% necessary to say what they are about to say.
There is salt and then there is people that just want to hurt you

This I 100% agree with. We all should, as a community, push the notion of just saying GG and moving on. I make it a point to practice just that. I also call out people in chat who start acting ridiculous. I'll quickly defend a killer or survivor who is getting insulted in post-game, and I would love to see that become more commonplace.
We should be protecting each other, this is true. Additionally, we should be strengthening each other and helping others to get past things, as I pointed out in my earlier comments.
Sadly we will never see toxic free game where you play competitive against others. Just feels like lately its gotten worse, which is the very reason why i keep my chat closed when i play killer. As a survivor i try to defend the killers when i see this happen and i've gotten few thank yous from the killer for doing that, hopefully making them feel a little bit better

That's not at all what I said. I said that though we should be more empathetic towards each other as a society, it should not be done through some ridiculous notion of authoritarian censorship. People need to learn to handle insults, rejections, failures. These things happen to us throughout our lives. Properly processing it is the correct path. Shielding society from one person's notion of what could be considered offensive is dangerous.
People do not give offense. Offense is only taken. So, you cannot define what is offensive or not offensive, as that is highly subjective.
Instead, we should be helping people to work past their offenses, in order to better process them, safeguard themselves from them, and up their quality of life for their future.
So yes, "sticks and stones" is a far healthier mantra than "No one should have the right to insult anyone!" As it leads to a stronger, more well-adjusted individual who can take negatives and turn them into positives.
I get what you mean but im still sticking to the fact that no one should have the right to insult anyone. I personally don't see the point of insulting anyone. It wont give me a better feeling and it surely wont give that person a better feeling. Also i dont think anyone should get used to toxicity.
But i do agree people should be tougher but everyone has their limits. LIke i said i can take a hit or few but when it happens multiple times it starts getting tiredsome and hurtful.
People should have their basic manners which to me at least includes treat others with respect and if i cant do it i move along. I dont need to start foaming from my mouth to that person :)

I get what you're saying but unfortunately I must agree with sticks and stones. Growing up abused I have trouble understanding how people can get so bent out of shape by words from internet strangers. That's probably a me problem, but it's also why I'm pretty calloused about the insults I hurl at others online. It kinda makes me feel better about my childhood in a sick spiteful way. Not really sure what my point is just some insight for one of the many reasons why people are toxic in general to others.
Everyone gets mad at this game im sure of it but wouldnt it just be better to move along? Does it really give people better feeling when you can call other by names and yell at them? When i get frustrated i just press leave game button and move onto the next match. Or i take 5 minutes and go get something to drink. It wont make my day better to start lashing out.

I'm sorry, but this is the most ridiculous comment I have read in this thread.
- Words in a post-game chat do not equal "literal bullying". This is another case of a word being watered down to having zero meaning.
- Yes, we have phrases for occasions such as this in real life. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me" ring a bell? We should be teaching people to have thicker skin, as it's a very important lesson to know in society. People need to learn to handle an insult, or rejection, or failure, as this ability to process it properly will improve their overall success and happiness in life. I have stopped escalations in bars, back when I was a bouncer, by appealing to that rational side of a person before they got physical with someone yelling at them. It is incredibly important to remind people that they can be the better person and just walk away.
- Your story here about "nastiness" traveling from post-game to your Twitch chat is your fault, and only your fault. You should have stopgaps in place to ensure that it does not reach your community. That is 100% your responsibility to yourself and your community, and nobody else's. Remove the "TTV" in your Steam name and/or the Twitch link from your Steam profile, and it's all fixed. If you don't want comments on your Steam profile, set it for friends only. There are ways to protect yourself from abuse online.
- You have the right to be offended by things you see or hear, but you do NOT have the right to NOT be offended. People have the right to express themselves, in whatever matter they deem fit. If you don't want to see or hear it, then utilize the controls discussed above to protect yourself. Your statement of "No one should have the right to insult anyone!" is childish and ridiculously authoritarian, and quite frankly, frightening.
Should we try to teach people to be a bit nicer? Of course, we should. But, we absolutely should also teach people to be self-sufficient and to be able to properly protect themselves both online and in real life. Part of that is teaching people that it is on them to decide whether they will let something offend them or not. That is part of maturing and of becoming a functional member of society.
So in your mind everyone should just be tough and shrug it off when someone calls them names for no reason and is nasty? No its not ok.
I can take an insult and i can deal with bullies but when it happens multiple times a day it will take a toll . Not everyone is emotion free person.
Some people might have scars from school bullying some people tend to be softer at heart like i am. We are not all tough as rocks and nor should we be.
I just think its ridiculous that you give people who act like this a pass and say oh deal with it. Noone has the right to call anyone names or be racist towards someone else!
It must be nice to be a person who doesnt give a ######### about what anyone else says :)
-
These comments saying oh just ignore people being literally bullies annoyes me. Doesnt matter how old you are common sense should be something everyone owns and with that comes how you should act towards other people.
If this toxicity would happen in real life would you just tell that person..oh grow a thicker skin? No you would not! So why does it make it ok for it to happen online? A lot of bullying now happens online and bad things have happened cause of it.
Some people play games for fun and to relax, some use it as an escape from a really bad real life situation, some i feel like are playing just to hurt others.
I don't know how bad it is for console players but as a PC player it can get rough. Since i stream, and yes 99% of the nastyness ive gotten from survivors when i play as killer, first they insult me in the after in game chat, which now i keep sometimes closed. Then they come into my stream. Insult me even more and with worse words, and lastly after getting banned in my streams they go into my steam profile write some horrible stuff and keep spamming until i ban again. If you report them..nothing will be done.
No one should have the right to insult anyone! Not over a game not over anything. You never know what that other person is dealing with and you making ######### comments def wont help that person. If you dont have anything good to say keep your mouth shut and move along.
Sometimes its better to not say anything. Learn some manners!
-
I typed goodjob Bill and the Bill got censored.

@BrokenSouI said:
My dude is lucky they don't stream. You can't even begin to imagine the things that are said to me 🤣
I stream as well. Small streamer but the things some survivors come to say to my chat to me is horrible. They just literally badmouth how i look like, talk or am even if i never did anything bad in the game. I've banned so many people from my streams its getting silly. Some even make clips with insulting titles in them :(
-
I only proxy camp and tunnel after i notice the gens are being done too fast to the speed im killing. I know not everyone plays the game fairly and hooks everyone one by one but i try. Lately i've just come to notice playing fair as a killer is almost impossible. Now boon totems coming is going to make it even worse. Boon totems can break plaything right?
Something needs to be done or i fear proxy camping /camping and tunneling will become even worse.
-
Only issue i have with DS is that its still active when gens are all done. Multiple times ive had still all 4 survivors alive and i cant even secure 1 kill because everyone and their mothers nowdays use DS. I think it should deactive when gens are done.
-
Boons are still too strong. They should be 1 time only.
Medkids are easily countered, Bring franklins. Boons just keep reappearing and in maps with downstairs and upstairs they are going to be pain in the backside.

So I just had a match on the Midwich map where the killer had noed and got an undeserved 4k because of it. The only totem perk I had was counter force during this match. I spent a lot of time going around the map trying to find totems and did not find a SINGLE totem the entire time. Meanwhile my team was getting hooked and close to death, so I decided to stop looking for totems and work on gens. We got all the gens done and sure enough noed activates. The killer downs 2 survivors while the 3rd died on hook. Both were death hook so I felt my only chance was to either find the hatch or go for the door when the killer went looking for the hatch. Well the killer does go looking for the hatch, so I go for the door. Sure enough the hatch spawned very close to the exit gate I went to and I ended up getting downed too. All of this happened because of ONE PERK and it was NOT because I didn't try finding the totems. Anyone who tries to find totems on Midwich knows it feels like a lost cause unless you have perks/maps to show you where they are. When matches like this happen (and they happen a lot) I can't tell you how frustrated I get at the game.
NOED is an overpowered, unfair perk. The killer is given too much power and too much end game advantage all because the survivors didn't cleanse all the totems in time.
My comment came twice so im just editing the second out 😂

Sorry but if the killer got 4k because of NOED it doesnt make it undeserved. Killer beat you thats on you. You have 3 options. Escape while hes hooking people and dont give the killer 4k, or go and find that burning totem. Also theres another thing you could do... stop using your OWN crutch perks like dead hard, decisive strike and maybe put small game on? I'm bored seeing the same damn perks on the survivors and them complaining about noed while they use multiple crutch perks that saves them MANY times in the match.

I mean, if you could do without tunneling before, you will probably still be able to get away with not tunneling now. That is more of a general mmr problem than anything to do with boon totems.
I dont like to tunnel at all unless i really have to (2 gens left everyone alive style) but i don't see myself being able to keep up as ghosty with 4 people teams with boons :(
-
I for one will start tunneling after these boons comes. Theres no time for me to be running around big maps and looking for stupid boons and killing people while they heal themselfs super fast. I think boons should never be spammable. Also hex totems should not be relightable they should only be breakable. Otherwise give killers hexes that can be relighted too. Boons might not stack anymore but in inside maps where there is an upstairs and downstairs they are still very powerful.
-
I think the range of them is too big and the stacking shouldnt happen. Also the fact that they completely destroy NOED is ridiculous. Also i dont think survivors should be able to spam them. Hexes are high risk high reward item used only ONCE per match. When its destroyed its gone no more. Otherwise give killers the same chance. I for one wont be playing much killer if these totems comes to pass. I barely have time to hook survivors once nowdays if i get really good teams against me.
-
Honest nowdays it feels like you cant get anywhere without doing at least some tunneling. Just wait until the stupid boon totems come to play we cant even hurt them😁
-
I want killers to be able to put their hexes back as well just like survivors. Otherwise this wont be fair at all. The healing is way too fast and the fact that you cant destroy the totem just make it dull again so they can just go back and light it again.
Survivors shouldnt be able to use it more than ONCE per match and this by me meaning once..not once per survivor just one per match.. Hexes are high risk high reward thing just like killer hexes. Usually mine are found 30 seconds into the match and BOOM its gone
-
If boon totems come to the game as they are i for one wont be playing killer no more. Already playing slower killers like ghostface so i dont have time for 4 SWF who keep blessing different totems all over the map and healing themselfs in few seconds.
If killers cant place their hexes and they get destroyed i really don't understand why survivors are entitled to have non breakable hexes which can be spammed.

I play ghostyboy and i do notice on bigger maps i perform really badly. Also people can get my out of my shroud way too easily.
That being said i wouldnt play nurse blight or spirit just because they are the best killers, i rather play one i enjoy playing with. To me i dont need to kill everyone to have fun, though getting gen rushed on huge maps isnt fun eather :P

You have to understand that as Killer, if you're having "really easy matches" it means the survivors you are playing against are having really hard matches. That's why asymmetrical games like this are a nightmare to balance. And this is exactly what I'm on about.
I'd like to think my survivors had good matches too. I didnt slug i didnt tunnel and i didnt camp. Everyone had 2 hooks on them and i think there was 1 gen left when i killed them. Also i had matches i didnt kill single person but i still had good time since again i had time to practise on those matches they didnt gen rush and i got some hooks in.
Only 1 match was like *old times* They gen rushed really fast and i got 1 hook in and everyone had dead hard and decisive strike.
I also played survivor yesterday. My matches were nice. i had easier ones and i had harder ones but overally i think i had the best time in weeks yesterday with both sides.
-
I hate dead hard and decisive strike but i guess im a weird survivor. I dont use eather one. As a killer i do expect everyone to have DH so i try to bait it out of them. Its kinda boring how you see same 4 perks on everyone. People are too scared to be different.
I normally run with Lithe, empathy, borrowed and spine chill (or kindred)
-
I had really good time yesterday leveling my Pinboy. I had first really easy matches that were relaxed and i had time to practise and slowly as i got better i got better survivors that gave me challenge.
If it had been the old system i wouldnt have had good time at all since i would have gotten loopers and 4 people with meta perks all the time. I'm really glad i can now practise killers i don't play without being scared i get dead harded and decisive striked all the time
-
Sadly it is but i doubt anything is done about it. Most likely Killers get to clean bones and NOED will be removed.
-
This is getting pretty silly. Survivors are already gen rushing and slow killers are having hard time keeping up and now we have to do bones? How about you add another task for the survivors and leave the killers be?
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
Well, it seems I'll only be playing killer today then.
Especially if you are planning on trying the new killer.
-
Good thing that this update itself is taking 300 years so i can easily just skip Pinboy today and wait until tomorrow when i dont have to sweat my ass off with good players. I'll just go survive few matches if this update ever finishes.
Also now that his voices are gone he's not all that interesting to me anymore :( i feel like thats huge part what made him special.
-
I like the bug fixes though the ability to stun nightmare with his own pallets seems a bit fishy. I am one of the people that got stuck while cleaning that damn cursed totem so im glad its fixed but im little unhappy that half of the patch isnt even coming today. Pinheads voicing being gone makes me sad. I hope its not because of immature people.
What i dont like is the nemesis buff. I am one that hates going against him when i know he can daddy tentacle me through walls it feels, but now he can daddy tentacle me with even more speed just what i wanted. I'm just a ghostface player who i think deserve more buffs than daddy tentacle here :(
-
Disappointing.. i was looking forward practising the new killer without getting sweaty purples and reds against me but i guess that fun has been taken away from me .. might just log in tomorrow
-
Thats unfortunate. I was quite looking forward on hearing it in the game :( They should add more talking in the game for killers anyways.
-
Yeah sadly its part of this game. When i play killer i keep the chat closed but i stream so people come to my twitch calling me names and even insulting how i look like. I try to shrug it off but of course it hurts.
I wish people would be mature enough to just accept loss or be a good winner and move along.
-

I have this weird habit to crouch exactly 2 times just to say "thank you" if game was close and fun.
I just think do killers misunderstand me? Of course I don't keep waiting at the gate to do that but if killer is chasing me there.
I do crouch once too if killer is friendly to me. Teabagging to me is rapidly pressing that damn button. I might even give up my item as a thank you

You're very right and its why I don't teabag killers often because I'm on the receiving end of it sometimes especially if I did something I knew they'd not like but I don't complain about it either. I just sit in my chair salty sometimes or laugh it off and go to the next game. I'm not really a mean person either. I prob shoudl've worded the post differently or just posted the screenshots of the chat but what I wanted the convo to be was about them getting mad about me cleansing their totem and then trying to tunnel me out last second for it.
I had a bad match with huntress yesterday too. She had the 1 shot hatch and she was pretty good at throwing it but instead of playing she decided to facecamp me in the basement knowing she could 1 shot whoever i was playing with. Luckily i was with friends and i told them not to come and ill just die. Sadly in the end she did get everyone since there was 1 random player with us.
Does that kind of gameplay make me salty..yes yes it does but i just move along and hope for a better match. Though yesterday i had horrible luck with facecampers and tunnelers. Now i do understand tunneling but i dont understand it when theres 5-4 gens left.
I hope your matches today will be good ones! :)

You misunderstand gens were done but tunneling one person as huntress does nothing for you. SECONDLY I wasn't even on death hook there were two others who were that she could've tunnled but since I cleansed her totem she wanted me. Moving forward though she has hatchets she could've easily hit a hatchet on the one that saved me and hit another for a down then hit me with one and if BT activated with another hatchet. She wouldn't have even had to try tunneling if she didn't try guarding a niche hex while only having 1 or 2 gens left. Like Lullaby did NOTHING for her even with her having 4/5 stacks and she wanted to guard it with one gen??? Why clearly the perk didn't help so why guard it if anything i'm wasting precious time cleansing it anyway just want to get rid of it since i know its there. Appreciate the macro flashlighting part because I totally clicked at her. You're right though toxicity does breed more toxicity but if anyone really cared survivors wouldn't teabag and killers wouldn't camp or tunnel. None of which is toxic but its unpleasant to deal with so people call it toxic.
She could have been a newer player? Maybe new huntress. Some killers guard hexes even if they arent the best hexes but lets be honest when survivors see a burning totem we want to break it and it will bring survivors near.
I hate survivors that teabag at the gates i really reaally do. Theres no point just move along you won, go into a next match and goodluck it goes well too. You dont know whats going on with this killers life maybe they are having a bad day and you just might have made it worse.
Then again maybe im too kind for this game
-
If you did all that i'm sure your rank stayed the same or even went higher. Getting out of the game isnt always the best.
Those survivors that left you might have just been gen rushing and getting way less points than you even if they got out.
Remove NOED and something from survivors need to go as well. Be it dead hard decisive or the goddamn key i hate so much. Maybe remove the hatch all together no more crutches to anyone right ;) I mean the hatch is the biggest crutch in this game. I've had matches when theres been survivors that has done NOTHING in the whole game and camped the hatch at the end.
-
Tunnel you out at the last minute?...So you are saying the killer tried to kill you at the end of the match and you see that as wrong? When theres 1-2 gens left the rules survivors have made are out of the window.
Also you are proud of being a douche? Goodjob.. Killers have bad matches. Sometimes they have to tunnel. I'm sure teabagging and macro flashlighting will make their day even better
Toxicity breeds more toxicity and then you cry when killers start being horrible..
-
When i read these NOED posts i just feel like some survivors want the killers to stand at the corner of a map wait for them to genrush which they do no matter what and never touch them. *oh but the bones take so long to do oh whatever will i do for those few seconds* It takes killer way longer to usually chase all 4 of you and hook you 3 times.
I'm always looking for totems as a survivor. Camping gens to me is just boring. Also totems give nicely points hex totems even more.
Survivors need to lose perks like dead hard and decisive strike then too, oh and don't forget the key *shrug*
-
I think they have other maps they need to look at too. I got literally stuck while cleaning a hex totem at Crotus Penn. Couldnt move. I had to wait for legion to come ...rescue kill me. My friend got stuck to a wall at dead dawg which is disabled atm so im hoping they are fixing that issue.
Raccoon being disabled doesnt bother me at all. I still and always will hate that map with passion.
I do hope they get issues fixed and maps back to business since we losing stranger things map soon is gonna make the map rotation more boring. I'm kinda hoping they would fix the map to fit it in the game without the license issues.
-
Gen rush is indeed an issue in this game and for that i sometimes can't even blame killer for tunneling.
I think what is needed it to remove 1 hook per survivor or add 1 more gen to do or give other task survivors HAVE to do. Most dont even do bones and then they whine about NOED after. especially slower M1 killers come across this problem more since some maps are just too big, than speedy or ranged killers. Often i feel like if i want to play fair i have to accept a loss or a draw. I just simply dont have time to be hooking everyone twice before killing.
-
What they need to remove from the game is the pallet in killer shack. When i see survivor going there i already know they want to loop me for days. I dont even bother and just leave to find another survivor.
SBMM is welcomed change but i agree there are other changes and fixes they also need to make.
-
I understand your frustration but maybe just think its a game? I don't care if i get 4k i dont even care if i get 1k. I enjoy the chase. Rank to me doesnt mean anything. Its bragging rights and let's be honest rank in this game means nothing. It doesnt make you a good player.
You can't please survivors in this game. They are toxic if you kill them and they are toxic if you dont. Just stop caring do your thing enjoy the chase
-
I'm glad. I can finally practise other killers without getting sweaty reds and purples against me all the times.
-
Lately as a killer i havent had as much fun. Mostly due to the toxicity from the survivors. Feels like the game is full of arseholes at the moment. every other game you get someone saying something nasty or doing something nasty
-
I stream too when i play this game althought im a nobody, but i still try to be respectful to others and when i see toxicity towards killers i usually step in and tell them to be quiet. When i play as killer i get a lot of toxic people into my twitch chat being toxic. In game i keep the chat closed as killer.
I hope your day gets better and remember there are also nice people in the game! <3

But if we slowdown gens than all the gen defense perks would probably need to be addressed.
You mean perks like PoP and Ruin? I personally find Ruin a joke. Usually found in less than 30 seconds. PoP takes times when you kick every gen. I'm looking forward to Pinheads new Hex might slow down the game little bit ..hopefully.
