And yet with Myers all you have to do is hold down M2 a bunch with no real or thought til you hear a dingle dingle. It takes no real skill to find people, because there is nothing you can do to make that easier. As compared to the skill floor of Doc, in which you run around shocking people and wasting loads of time. Wait, that's not a skill floor, that's just being unable to play the killer. Docs skill floor is more along the lines of mindlessly using the blast, then mindlessly using the shock, then... Wait, no, that still doesn't help because you actually need to know how to block drops and vaults, which requires actual skill that tiering up madness doesn't. Which means that if you are simple teiring up madness then you are playing an m1 killer with no instadown potential.
And it is actually difficult to use Doc's shock effectively, because you have to time it perfectly and hit them just right. Hit them early, they go for another loop. Hit them late, they perform the action they needed to. Spam it, and they can loop almost forever. As compared to Myers, who takes no mechanical practice whatsoever, and whose skill ceiling doesn't include anything even remotely along the lines of a Doc chase, since Myers is a basic m1 killer and uses all the same things that Doc can choose to use.
And then you go into being strategic with your stalk - but that's not a skill floor, that's a skill ceiling, and it is mechanically extremely easy. You just need to hold M2, only this time carefully so. So let's go with tactics: Stalking people correctly. Keeping an eye on the red in someone's aura. 99ing. Looking at their knees. And thats... well, I can't think of anything else except perhaps knowing when to pop a t3. But let's look at Docs skill ceiling - well, here's where the shock timing comes in, and using the info you get to make good decisions, and using environmental clues to tell when someone is in a locker to avoid a blast, and reading doc aura's, and knowing who is screaming, and knowing who is in what madness, knowing when it's one or two people screaming, knowing how close or far away they are and accurately knowing where they are because of it and what tiles are around them, and actually using your blast to dial in on people instead of just finding them so as to not waste it, and using his shock to prevent long loops instead of just preventing vaults. And then there's the fact that Doc is so strong when played well, it's almost entirely on you to win. No pressure.
Another way to look at it is the sheer difference in number of players. They've both been out for a similar amount of time, and Doc recently got a rework that made him even stronger, AND he's an in-game DLC character. And yet there are way more Myers players than Doc players. So why is that, if Doc is easier and has a lower skill floor?
There’s more Michael players than Doc players? Definitely not on PS4 in red ranks. You rarely see Michael and get Doctor almost every game. So stop talking complete shite.
I’m not bothering to reply to the rest of your essay as you’re trying to sound all insightful but you are pulling things out of your arse. You’re either a really low rank killer or completely stupid. Maybe even both. 💁🏻♂️

Worst? My main man (for survivors) Ace Visconti is finally getting his tome!! Easily the most mysterious out of all survivors (his lore is one flipping paragraph. Think about all the paragraphs on top of paragraphs and art they created for later characters like Jane, Yui, Zarina, etc. Hell some licensed characters have more details and we're already familiar with them from previous media)
I finally get to play as my main for archive challenges rather than some booty characters I never play. I'm so excited to see the Ace love that's gonna come in the rift and what they've cooked up for his story
Well I hope you enjoy playing as Ace and being tunnelled to death by baby Hags.

If it is an opinion, true. But when it can be disproven by combing over the different mechanics and strategies, not so much. And when that person arrogantly states something as an "objective fact" and refuses to accept that they are deliberately not taking anything that disagrees with them into consideration, I do like to point and laugh at their hypocrisy.
If someone wants to say something, fine. I can say the sky is indigo. That doesn't mean I can slap colour palette's put of everyone's hands when they hold them up to correct me.
Thank you.
I would never tell somebody that their opinion is wrong. But as me and other people have mentioned in this thread, you wouldn’t put Michael above Doctor in terms of who is easier to play. The fact Doctor is a killer you’d recommend to newer players and Michael isn’t says it all.
Plus what I said in the other thread wasn’t supposed to be taken to heart. I’m a very sarcastic person and it wasn’t supposed to offend. 😂

Michael DOES take less skill than doctor. You just stalk. Then insta down.
Doctor has TR shock, wave shock, and illusions. Knowing when to use which is a big deal.
Everything else is mindgames, which you can do with both.
“The thing about Michael is his power is dependent on survivors. If he can’t locate anybody then he’s an ultra slow killer with zero map pressure. I’ve been in lobby’s before where every survivor is running Spine Chill and Michael has JUST reached Tier 2 when the last generator pops. Whereas Doctor can locate survivors, deny loops and pallets by simply pressing a single button.
I understand that we all have different opinions but can you honestly tell me that if you had a friend who was playing as killer for the first time and they wanted to choose between Michael and Doctor you’d honestly recommend Michael? I find that hard to believe. Doctor is somebody I’d recommend to newbies because he has abilities that help him locate survivors which is what most new players struggle with.”

It’s alright to play other games. I don’t religiously play DBD. There were other great multiplayer games before DBD and I’m sure there will be a ton more that come after it.
I don’t see this game going anywhere soon. If anything, it seems to be getting more popular.

You do know that Myers really does take less skill than Doc, objectively speaking? It's not really an opinion, he just has more things in his base kit, whereas Myers is a basic chase killer that has nothing creative but a slightly increased lunge distance. Which means that every skill can be lifted from basekit Myers and applied to basekit Doc, but the same cannot be said in reverse.
The thing about Michael is his power is dependent on survivors. If he can’t locate anybody then he’s an ultra slow killer with zero map pressure. I can be stealthy and also put up great chases. Sometimes you need that stealthy player who can work on gens, get unhooks and heal survivors. I’m often the one having to leave my gen to go for a save as the other 2 teammates got spotted on their way. I can stay out of the killers sight, but make no mistakes. If / when I’m found I will not be an easy down. I’m not making a killers job easy for them. If they want me. Come get me.
I have to hunt down survivors when I’m playing killer, so let everybody else do the same.
-
I had a Claudette DC on me last night when I kept dragging her out of pallets. Was it you? 🌚

Seeing Tenacity makes me think they've got Unbreakable for sure. What I tend to do when I run it is sit still as long as the killer can see me, then crawl when they decide to leave me slugged. That way by the time they come back, I'm long gone.
I do the same. The only time I’ll use it right away is if I’m behind a pallet that needs breaking and I’m pairing it with Flip-Flop. As sometimes it can stop you from getting hooked.
-
I think an easier list for me to make would be regarding amazing teammates. I swear 90% of my games are with bots. I don’t believe it’s real people.

Waaah! He put my favourite killer as low! WAAAH!
Waaah! You put one of the easiest killers as high! WAAH!
-
This is a perk I see many people with and a perk I hardly ever see people get to use. If you go on a mass slugging spree, you face the risk of having a survivor standing up. Slugging shouldn’t equal the perfect way to win a game. I don’t see why something that can already be prevented needs a negative side-effect?
-
I personally don’t want this. It’ll just completely change the atmosphere of the game and not in a good way. Walkie Talkies made sense on Friday the 13th but they just don’t fit into this game.
-
Doctor as high and Michael as low? Just delete the whole thread.
-
The only thing that needs changing on her is the fact her standing still / phasing is exactly the same. Even with that still in the game I don’t mind going against her.
-
I’d have Michael, Bubba, Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, Clown, Huntress, Demogorgon, Pyramid Head and Deathslinger as ones I like going against.
Hag, Doctor, Freddy, Legion, Billy and Oni are the most annoying.
Everybody else is just so-so.
-
Oh this is a message just for survivor mains? I play both sides so guess I better head back out.
-
One of the best things about this game is not having to mute people. This just isn’t needed.

Throw in Iron Will and this is the same build I use when I do Head On games.

Do you get offended by racial or sexist slurs? Because they are just words, aren´t they?
And while real life and a video game are two different things, both include real people, and the disrespect these people show in a video game is just as real as if they do it in real life.
And they do things they wouldn´t in real life because we as a community let them, and don´t sanction such behaviour.
But i believe things react to each other, since rude behaviour becomes more accepted in real life through the acceptance in the web.
"Wehret den Anfängen".
No I don’t get offended by racial or sexist slurs. I don’t get offended by any words as like you said, they are just words. Words can only offend you if you let them. And I choose not to let them. I’m honestly not easily offended. I just couldn’t care less. What somebody else thinks of me is none of my business. I know who I am and I know who I’m not. That’s all that matters.

This is actually quite interesting. If put up my middle finger for example a lot of people would be mad too and you could ask the same question again: why the hell would people be mad over a finger? Why so serious? People get agitated over this because of the meaning the general public and the community has given it. When you flip someone off in a car the other person knows you are disrespecting him and just like that has the dbd community given tbagging or “moving pixels” as you put it another meaning. It’s the perception of the community that’s important here.
This idea of it being offensive only gets enforced when you look at popular content creators like old No0b3 and Ochido that did this a lot too for this exact same reason: to show the nooby killer they just got played.
If you don’t get offended by it then what can I say? That’s great for you and you’re probably living a healthy and stressless dbd life lmao. But yeah that’s why most people dislike this behaviour.
Sorry if I actually took this too far. I’m studying Sociology and I enjoy using the stuff I learn for actual “problems”. With that said, this is just my take on it. It’s not like this is 100% the correct answer.
I understand what you’re trying to say, but I don’t get offended by frivolous things. For me, a video game and real life are two different things. I wouldn’t compare somebody flipping me off to somebody using a character in a video game to go up and down. 90% of what people do on the internet are things they wouldn’t dream of doing in real life.
I also wouldn’t care if somebody did flip me off in person, I would personally just laugh. I’d only become defensive if they tried to physically attack me. That’s just not something I’d ever have to worry about on a game. Teabag away, flashlight click me all day. It doesn’t do anything and it shouldn’t be offensive.
We play video games to have fun and for escapism. Why let them get you worked up when there’s plenty of stuff in the real world to do that?

That makes sense i Just think midwich's layout is easier to memorize. Almost every room in hawkins looks the same to me ;-;
I definitely agree with that. Trying to find the hatch can be a nightmare. I also find this with Lery’s. It’s mostly a problem with the way indoor maps are designed.

Really? For me the totem spawns are way easier on midwich than Hawkins.
I’ve just played Hawkins more so I’ve got it memorised where totems can spawn. I don’t play Midwich that often. I’ve probably had it 6 times as a survivor and 3 as a killer? So I’m not familiarised with where they can be. I can still struggle getting up and down the stairs. 😂

That’s what it was like when I was lagging. I’d go to hit somebody and they would just vanish into thin air and appear 30 metres behind me. It was unplayable lol.

The 3 survivor perks have even easier direct counters.
Pop has no counters. The gen is being regressed no matter what.
Technically PGTW does have somewhat of a counter now and that’s with Repressed Alliance. I stopped a Freddy from kicking my gen with it yesterday.
-
Nothing is wrong. The perks are in the game to be used. And it’s honestly as simple as that. And that’s regarding killer AND survivor. Stop telling people how to play.
-
They were fine for me earlier today. The only time I got really bad lag was when lockdown was at its peak as everybody was at home and using up the broadband. But other then that, it’s been fine for me. I’m playing in Europe. Not sure where you are?

I think people take this game far too seriously. I’m not entirely sure how pixels can bully anybody? A character model crouching up and down shouldn’t get under people’s skin as much as it does.

I like it. Definitely survivor sided, off set by easily patrolled exit gates. If you know the layout of the map, at least. So many places to hide. Whenever I'm in a chase, I run through the rooms. Definitely the best way to escape the killer. Idk what chases you've been in, but when survivors just run down the hallway instead of weaving through classrooms, it's the easiest thing to catch them. Stealth is definitely better than running though. Like I said, so many places for them to hide. Scratched mirror Meyers heaven, though, I'm sure. Haven't tried it there yet.
I personally wouldn’t call it survivor sided. Especially when a killer has NOED or Devour as totems are definitely a lot harder to find on that map. Whenever I play as Michael on Midwich I feel like a machine. He’s very strong on there. 😂

Thats gonna be an outlier where someone else with Bond is intentionally being a douche. In which case I can just keep running, and know where to run away to and where not to run to.
Exactly. A 32m range is more than enough to be able to keep your distance from another survivor who’s being chased. After all, you’re both running at the same speed, so it’s not like they can catch up. I would just keep running until they get hit or go down. 😂

Griefing is part of the game, and I'm supposed to get better at being greifed??
Are you sure they’re doing it on purpose though? I’ve had people message me after matches asking why I ‘brought the killer to them’ when I wasn’t even running an aura perk, so it was completely unintentional.
As somebody else said, if it’s happening to you enough that it’s bothersome; just use Bond. That should give you more than enough information to be able to stay out of another survivors direct path who’s being chased.

If you remember, his wall hacks deactivated inside his terror radius... So you could loop him and mind game him..
You can do those things against the reworked one but it's not fun... Specially with his dedicated server lunge but that has nothing to do with the topic
Yeah I know that, but once you had escaped him, he could locate you straight away. The only way for him not to see you was for you to be awake which resorted in having to blow up generators or fail a self care skill check. It was just a very broken and poorly designed power. At least with the new Freddy you have more chances of staying hidden from him / being able to successfully escape a chase.
With the OG one it wasn’t a matter of IF he’d find you, but when. You couldn’t get away from him as it was impossible to tell which direction he was coming from. But oh well, he’ll never be coming back. So I have nothing to worry about. Could the current Freddy be tweaked? Definitely. But they’ll never bring back the absolute ######### fest that was the OG Freddy.

The fact that freddy is easier to play than before isn’t an opinion, it’s reality
And where exactly did I say he was weaker now? All my comments were about how game breaking his old ability was. He shouldn’t have been able to see people’s auras from across the map or see them on the ground.
The new Freddy is stronger but more fair to play against. I’d rather play against a viable killer than one with wall hacks.
-
No you can’t as the survivor is eventually going to bleed out. So don’t worry.
