yeah, I’m stuttering/rubberbanding much more and more severely since 7.7.1
-
Solo queue is way easier than people make it out to be.
DS having a 5 second stun is fine.
Distortion is fine.
Buckle Up + For The People is fine.
Myers should always be able to stalk survivors and should never run out of stalk. Just make it very slow once a survivor is maxed out, but it feels terrible to be able to run out of a power as killer.
Speaking of Myers (as a Myers main), I’d rather leave him as he is, one of the weakest killers, than see BHVR rework him to make him stronger while also likely removing the most thematic and fun parts of his kit.

I will keep it really simple. Anon players play in certain ways that correlates to the reason they choose to play anon mode. These reasons make me not want to play with them or against them. Please add a feature similar to crossplay off, where I only get matchmade with players that choose to play not anonymously.
okay “Johdude” which I assume is your real actual name on your birth certificate. Wait, it’s not? Oh, so you’re anonymous too!
The idea that people only (or event MOSTLY) use anonymous mode for nefarious purposes is absurd and not remotely based in fact.

I think it’s pretty silly to argue that it can’t be weaponized, as it clearly can be. It’s just not often a terribly effective thing to do, especially given the conspicuous action constraint.
-
maybe if they nerf her a tenth time survivors will finally be happy
-
wild how the thing that actually works as expected is the place where you can spend money
-
this is just stretched res all over again
”no, it’s not cheating, I just think it sounds better bro”
-
yes, it’s cheating, clearly
-
Skull Merchant and Hag
-
Overnerfed and bad, buggy tail attack
Alien is a top 3 movie for me, and I can’t stand to play xeno because of how dirty they did her.
-
Ultimate Weapon nerf is hilariously bad. Z-tier perk now. Worse than Monstrous Shrine.
-
Skull Merchant should be reworked into an apology and mass refund.
-
can we ban everyone who 360s?
-
I once got told that instead of camping a hook in the EGC, I should go patrol gens. In the EGC.
-
I’ve had the game crash my display driver multiple times since the event started, but only when I’m playing Myers. I can play survivor and other killers (so far mostly Unknown) without issue.
-
Bare minimum? Map seeds, spectator free cam
Beyond that: being able to tweak things like # of gens spawned, # of gens needed to complete, # of totems, # of pallets, # of chests, basement on/off toggle, bloodlust on/off toggle for each level, terror radius toggle, lullaby toggle, perk limiters (e.g. free for all vs. limited # per) and perk bans
-
For the record, I don’t generally have a problem with someone blinding me. The vast majority of the time, if they get it, they earned it. I just don’t like getting blinded by something that is literally out of view.
-
For all the folks saying “just run Lightborn,” I do pretty regularly, and lots of survivors get really mad in endgame chat about it. Lots of insults about being a coward or being afraid and “just look a wall” even though, as noted above, that doesn’t always work.
Which way is it? Run Lightborn or don’t?
-
Getting blinded from behind by a flashbang is such a perfect illustration of DBD jank

I used to very strongly believe SWF should be displayed in the lobby but I’ve been coming around to the opposing point of view.
For one thing, I had a misconception that SWF gave a 15% win rate advantage which isn’t true (and which the recent stats show is really only 3% for the vast majority of SWF groups). I’ve also been dodging obvious SWF groups a lot less (though if it’s a bunch of TTVs I still do since “being toxic for views” is still a thing for a lot of them).
I also think the fact that SWF teams would just wind up with gigantic queue times can’t be ignored. Look at how TCM had SWF indicators and had to remove them because people couldn’t get into games otherwise.
I definitely think BHVR has some responsibility to continue closing the gaps between solo queue and SWF while also adjusting killer base gameplay to compensate for survivor buffs (something they’ve been hit-and-miss at).

There are spots where the trap will sink completely into the geometry but still trap survivors. I’m as killer-biased as they come but that kind of situation is grossly unfair and should be prevented. It’s not a skill to stick a trap a foot into the dirt or a rock and it’s not a lack of skill to get caught by such a trap either.

This has nothing to do about caring about other people. If it did, horror entertainment wouldn't exist. Its riddled with things that could cause all kinds of sensitivity triggers.

It was needless. Thats the point I made.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.

I've never understood the idea of catering to sensitives through censorship. I feel like a simple "This game has depictions of" warning when you launch the game would suffice. Even still, the horror genre is rooted in death so going into it things like this shouldn't be considered out of the ordinary.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3666368#Comment_3666368
If that is the case and its the visual of it that could cause the trigger then wouldn't the hanging men on both the Decimated Borgo and Grave of Glenvale potentially cause the same trigger?
Caring about other people is good actually.

I main Myers and every time I get toxic teabagging in the exit gates, it makes me want to just go play hillbilly, wesker, and blight. If survivors want to play against a wider variety of killers, don’t go out of your way to make people who play those rarer killers feel like crap.
-
I don’t have any interest in fixing the last gen five seconds at a time while SM patrols a ten foot circle.
I legitimately believe they should remove her from the game and issue refunds.
-
@xEa said:
Yes, it was basic understanding to give killer 2 extra hits at the exit gate, at least one.
Not anymore from me, but it has a different reason: Every time i do it, they try to backflip me. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I dont know how you feel about that, but a killer trying to cheat an extra kill on survivors generosity is lame as hell.
“cheat”?????
lmao
-
You’re not “giving the killer a hit,” you’re just taunting them.
-
Maps are too big, with too much clutter, too many chainable pallet loops, and too many god windows.
-
I don’t necessarily think killer is bad balance-wise, but it’s miserable fun-wise. Too many killers with bad, clunky powers that feel awful to use, too many gigantic maps full of clutter and god windows and dozens of safe pallets, too many perks with little-to-no synergy or reward, too many basekit systems that put guardrails all over killer gameplay.
It’s just not that fun to play killer. I don’t even feel like I’m playing against the survivors a lot of the time; I’m playing against BHVR, and the survivors are there too.
Anymore I play maybe 1 or 2 killer games a week, and the rest of the time it’s solo queue survivor. The number of times I pick “Play killer,” look at the killer roster, and then just back out to pick “Play survivor” lately is depressing.
-
Elvira would be an incredible addition.
-
I remember them saying years ago that the issue was that the game incorrectly rechecks to see if a hit actually hits after being aim dressed, but I guess they just haven’t fixed that in 4+ years because ???????
-
Hell yeah, I love them! I want more weird monsters in DBD!
-
I love it. The weird, noodley limbs flopping around, the way it totters after survivors a little too quickly, all the exaggerated movements like it’s an alien trying to pilot a human body, it’s all great. All thumbs up from me.
-
I love how the new killer looks, sounds and especially moves. Top notch animations.

It’s fine IMO. It requires a second survivor to not be progressing gens and to dedicate half their perks to it, has about a 2 second window to execute, and often leaves one of the survivors still in a vulnerable spot and unable to really get away before the endurance runs out.
Maaaaaybe it can be nerfed slightly by something like making FTP’s broken effect permanent until they get hooked so it’s more risky, but I dunno, I think it’s okay for survivors to have strong perk synergy.
-
Yeah, it’s a pretty awful, badly designed, badly implemented feature. But BHVR wants to ensure killers can only play in a very narrowly defined way. Truly abysmal work.
-
what an awful idea
-
The real escape rate is 600%. No, I won’t provide evidence, just trust me bro.
-
I pretty much always run Kindred and Lucky Break (more survivors should run Lucky Break), and then usually some exhaustion perk and then a flex spot for helping out with challenges. But Kindred and Lucky Break are must haves.
-
Perfect
Funny voice lines, funny perks, absurdly funny inclusion. I would love more ridiculous nonsense like him. Put in H. Jon Benjamin as both Sterling Archer and Bob Belcher! Machine Gun Kelly! Roman Reigns! Penn & Teller!
I’m not joking, I would love more stuff like this and would happily pony up my America funbux for them.

Yeah, going back to the hook is at minimum embarrassing for the killer. Why not change your name to "Idon'tknowhowtoplay". Lazy, cheap killers just ping-ponging hooks have zero strategy and are ignoring 3 actual objectives of their character. It would be more fun for everyone if they just spent a weekend learning how to play.
nah
-
Killers playing efficiently and doing their objectives is not playing scummy or being a scumbag or playing unfairly. Survivors really need to get over this expectation that killers must deliberately play badly for survivors’ benefit.
-
Just to be a pedantic nerd: Michael Myers didn’t die and come back (in canon), though they did retcon his deaths in 2 and 4. IIRC anytime he actually died in canon, he stayed dead.
-
They claim it’s intended but there’s absolutely no way that’s true. They either don’t know how to fix it or don’t care enough to fix it.
-
Survivors don’t need even more free escapes.
-
Not in the slightest
