I'm of the opinion that the solo-queue experience should be improved by putting stuff like hook counters, chase indicators for non-obsessions, and possibly a radial menu similar to Overwatch with simple phrases that only works within a certain distance of other survivors.
Along with that, buff killer in general so everything gets more evened out.
-
That little slowdown on Pyramid Head after cancelling Rites of Judgement. Like yeah, just slow me down to 92% after using a power that already makes me 110% on a killer with only 8m for their ranged attack. Just make it even harder to use my limited range, easy-to-dodge attack BHVR, thank you.
-
This is completely biased, but allow PH's punishment attack to linger depending on how much of your gauge you used before firing.
Example: Firing instantly is unchanged, but firing with almost no power gauge increases how long the damage effect lasts in the beam by 1.5 seconds or so, with the number being smaller depending on how much of your gauge you used.
It would add to his theme of map-manipulation by giving him some low area-denial with good management of your power gauge.
Again, biased and not necessary, but cool nonetheless.
Alternatively: Let Ghostface hide in lockers.
-
It should definitely be patched due to the amount of clearly broken mixes, but they really should take notes from this and implement a legit way to mix the ones the look natural.
Do note that I am a PH main, so this is my favorite bug i've come across.
-
Just add the condition of DS deactivating after another survivor is put into the dying state. Not a permanent solution, but it would be good enough until they decide to make more in depth changes.
-
- Nurse (A good Nurse will make you feel completely helpless unless you are extremely good at survivor, which I am not.)
- Hag (Bro please trap the hook again for the 50th time, it just gets more fun bro)
- Spirit
-
I believe it happens whenever you cancel Rites of Judgement fully charged or fire Punishment of the Damned.
I have been having this problem for a while, you can stop the noise by activating your power again and cancelling whenever.
-
Totem perks are fine.
You run the risk of losing them immediately, so they ought to be strong.
I see complaints about Undying, but the perk is fine. You need to go for totems when you know the killer is busy, then the aura reading is useless.
-
A crypt/dungeon would be dope.
A run down castle would have potential.
A broken indoor aquarium could be fantastic. Half of the tanks are smashed with water and glass on the floor with dim lighting from the broken tanks.
An underground jungle facility with overgrown defense turrets that come to life during egc.
Space station or ship (coughDeadSpacecough)
-
Off the top of my head, we are missing a medieval killer, robotic killer, and aquatic killer.

4.4.0
-Reduced the length of The Pig’s Dash attack
Oh lord, don't give them ideas.
-
Well guess we should nerf Pig then, huh.
-
I would LOVE to see how they alter Pyramid Head's knife. They did fantastic with Ghostface, so imagine all they could do with such a large weapon.
On a similar note, I really hope they dive into PH more in future tomes (Licensed characters are confirmed to get them)
-
Perhaps they are disabling the killer one as to not affect statistics or something. We know how much the balance team likes to rely on those.
-
I just wish they put shards in the rift instead of the garbo, flat recolored charms. Would make this whole situation better since it would allow challenges to actually go towards skins.
It is surprising how they thought this was passable as an event in the first place, so I hope all the feedback leads to improvement.
-
NOED is a bad perk. It leaves you without a perk slot for an entire match until the endgame and can be countered reliably.
It CAN reward bad killers, but not everyone who runs it is a bad killer. Same logic with DS for example. A survivor can be caught off guard after a killer hooks someone, getting them downed. But DS saves them and makes up for their poor skill. If you run DS you aren't immediately bad, but it rewards bad plays.
The argument of only rewarding bad killer plays is stupid. If both sides are playing well, the last gen is bound to pop. Ideal matches are 2ks after all.

While I agree that the statistics need to be taken with a grain of salt, I also agree that Freddy should not stay how he is.
I am sure many would agree that his kit is overloaded and could use some toning down. If he really needs all these powers, they could be weakened a bit so he doesn't have a good solution for everything. Deathslinger is specialized for chases, so he has low mobility to compensate. Freddy however, has both chase and mobility tools, that are very good.
The term "Jack of all trades, master of none" is a thing for a reason. If you have a wide variety of skills, you should of course be out performed in one category by someone who only focuses on that category. If Freddy is going to be able to do everything, he should not be able to do certain things as good as specialized killers.
Examples of changes:
- Add a range to his teleport. Something like 60-80 meters. You would have to be mindful of your location at all times, making you pressure survivors into areas where you can teleport to important gens.
- Put some kind of limit on his snares. Make him unable to keep placing after he uses all of them. Instead, he regains them over time depending on how many survivors are asleep. (1 surv = 30s, 4 survs = 10s per snare)
I ain't a Freddy main or anything, so I don't know if these are good. Just throwing ideas.

I believe it will be an original.
According to LBD, the characters in chapter 18 will be purchasable with shards. However, I am unsure how credible LBD is, considering a new sub for leaks was created by a former member of LBD.
Also, this is not proof, but in a devstream about licensing and the event, Mathieu Cote was asked about what license he would like most, and he ended it by talking about how he really likes the originals and that the concept for the next one was really cool. Again, not proof by any means, but it should be considered.
We can expect a teaser to come between the 10th and 20th next month if we go based off of previous chapters. Usually, licensed chapter teasers are pretty obvious as to what it is, so we'll have to wait and see.

Depends on how much they took the community into account.
If they listened too much, the game would likely be awful. But if they listened to select individuals who know the game well, as well as taking community opinion that is agreed upon, I believe the game could be healthier.
Again, it all depends on how much they listen to the community. A healthy balance of community opinion and internal decision is needed.
-
Comms ARE cheating in dbd. If it was intended, they would have implemented voice chat in game. Being in a SWF doesn't make anyone godlike, but it gives a major advantage of information, which is vital in dbd. Many perks become completely unnecessary if you play in a group, while many others become stupidly powerful.
SWF/comms should never be nerfed or removed, but killers + solo queue should be buffed to compensate.
-
I main him, and can safely say the changes were awful.
You can still fake people out and put em in lose/lose situations if you just cancel your power last second. They still hear the audio cue, which will lead to them running through the pallet while you catch up.
The ranged attack recovery just makes him more spammy and braindead.
Overall, his map pressure is the main thing that suffered due to the slowdown after placing trails.
-
The changes completely missed the mark of what should be done.
They added a delay before attacking which does effectively nothing, as you can just cancel the power last second without the penalty. He gets slowed immensely after cancelling when fully charged, which only serves to make his map control worse than it is, since trying to leave trails (even when out of chase) slows you down.
The buff only enables you to spam your power a ton, making him seem braindead.
-
Like usual, the team who creates the skins and whatnot carry the game. But this time we can't earn any, so a step down imo.
-
7. Carrion
So much stuff to work with if they made a Carrion chapter, and it would be one of the most unique killers in the game.
Fnaf, F13, and Resident Evil would be dope too.
-
I just wish they'd add some rift fragments to the premium tier.
-
I will keep on preaching for Carrion.
That could be a terrifying chapter, and it be so unique.
Imagine a flesh blob of eyes and mouths using it's tendrils to grab the environment, moving it around. You could be working in a house on Badham next to a window and a tendril suddenly bursts into the window as the creature moves around you. That would be terrifying, especially if they are undetectable.
An underground jungle facility map with several turrets, mechs and defenses shutdown that suddenly spring to life during the EGC.
It would be so cool.
-
I say this a lot, but I believe his PotD should linger.
It's very difficult to hit against good players anyways, so PH could fire it at a key location to prevent the survivor from going there at the risk of damage of some other effect.
This way they could keep the power and give it more utility.
-
While the combo is strong, it doesn't need any tweaking aside from reducing the aura reveal to like 4 seconds.
-
Carrion.
That game is under the radar afaik, and it has tons of possibilities regarding powers, maps, and whatnot.
-
I just want Monstrous Shrine to make the basement a true death trap.
Don't care how, just make it so chances of getting out alive are next to none.
Dead Man's Switch and Fire Up too.
-
I wish they would make his PotD linger for a bit so you have a secondary use to it.
It is already telegraphed and slow, so having it linger after firing would function as area denial rather than straight damage. It would fit his theme of "map-manipulation" and give him another option for skillful plays.
Other than that, any small improvements to speed and fixing how clunky his power is would be great.

But then why even run the perk? It's balanced because you're wasting a perk slot for the information rather than using it on a broken perk combo, so I guess you would all rather have someone run DS, OoO, Unbreakable etc.. when someone wants to use a perk for information rather than a crutch that carries them that should be welcomed not complained on
Well something should change, as a perk shouldn't be able to hard counter stealth killers. That's why I said reduced range, it keeps the perk useful but no longer becomes such a big counter.
DS + Unbreakable (UB itself is fine) combo should be nerfed too, as well as OoO. Trying to say running it is balanced because you could run more broken stuff instead means none of it is balanced.
-
Being Undetectable should at the very least, make Spine Chill have an extremely reduced range.
That's not to say it should even work when a killer is Undetectable, i'm just trying to find a middle ground.
-
I main PH and I believe the nerf is a good thing.
But I gotta say, unless the recovery after firing his ranged attack is reduced by like 2 seconds, he should get more compensation for this. His 50/50 was his main strength.
If they want to fit his "map-manipulation" theme, they could make his ranged attack linger for a bit after firing, making it useful for area-denial. More cool stuff you could do with it.

To be fair they announced a shift of thana from being a general slowdown to being a gen slowdown. Maybe the % numbers they are removing that affect healing will now be added towards gen slowdown. Would be neat.
True, but I don't imagine the devs want it to be "overbearing", so the numbers are probably gonna be crap. We'll have to see I suppose.
-
DS has been a problem that people have complained about for a very long time, and then they change pop. Killer options for gen defense are already limited between Ruin/Undying and Corrupt/Pop, nerfing gen defense instead of addressing why all killers run it is dumb.
Even if they didn't change DS, they could have buffed the weaker gen defense perks too. Options are getting even more limited, and the pop nerf only affects the low tier killers.
-
Instead of nerfing pop, they should buff the weaker regression perks.
PH nerf is good, but he needs more buffs to compensate.
Everything else is good/alright.

Yeah the BOTB final video I posted in another thread shows just how bad PH will be. They keep going for attacks but survivors easily avoid every single one. Only way PH gets a hit is by holding M2 at shack window, then cancelling when they go for the pallet. Now he won't even do that the survivors will make the pallet guaranteed.
They aren't going to do anything else for him. If they had any intention they would have mentioned it now. This is solely to appease survivors that wanted to loop him rather than dropping the pallet earlier.
It's sad how right you are. I main him, so I will just have to hope that the numbers are good or they give more buffs to compensate.

They don't play him so they don't know.
Wider hitbox, better turning, faster attack speed, it's going to need some changes to the attack to make it viable everyone that plays PH knows this. Less cooldown means nothing when the attack itself is still very, very easy to avoid.
Of course that's the point though. He's not being change to change his playstyle, he's being changed so survivors can loop him easier.
His 50/50 is the only thing that kept him good. I really hope they do more for him.
His cages can be useful, but survivors are in control of whether they get tormented, the killer instinct from trails is just alright, and Final Judgement is just cage 2.
Just sucks how 2 strong killer things are getting nerfed while no strong survivor thing is getting nerfed.
-
I am at a loss of words. How do people even think this is too strong when survivors have their BS combos.
-
Unless they make the recovery of PotD like 1.5 seconds or something, he will need more compensation for the nerf.
-
Seeing as they are reducing the recovery on m2s and lengthening the delay after cancelling it, I believe they should make his PotD linger for a duration after firing. Since it is hard to hit already, this would give an added utility in the form of area denial.
Say for example you are in the Thompson house at the top floor. You know a survivor is here, so you fire a PotD through the wall, denying entry to the other doorway leading to the stairs. You can now go through the doorway you fired from, forcing the survivor to drop down, or run through the PotD and get damaged. This fits with his theme of "map-manipulation" and gives him another tool for skillful plays rather than the 50/50 everyone dislikes.
If not this, then I hope they give some better compensation for removing the 50/50 (It was bs, but it was his main strength).
-
I can name 3 that I want.
- Carrion (Game about escaping confinement as an amorphous blob of eyes, mouths, and tentacles). Map could be an underground jungle with patches of water and biomass with a few higher tech rooms. Having many turrets and defenses shut down that turn on during ECG (Wouldn't actually be dangerous of course).
- Friday the 13th. Iconic slasher that deserves to be in the game. Pretty much everyone knows about Jason.
- FNAF. While many hate the idea, the contents of the series would blend perfectly into DBD. The main killer people want has been killed off in the lore as well, making it a great candidate.
I wouldn't say there is anything I don't want in the game, as it's better to have more content regardless of the series that enters DBD (With exceptions, of course).

I think the first token is called "Rush" and the others are called "Lethal Rush" so that might be the reason why you weren't Undetectable. Do you remember if you were Rushing or Lethal Rushing ?
Yeah, I was in the first Rush when people were unhooking. Although I'm pretty sure the effect also applies during Lethal Rushes too.
-
I froth at the thought of new PH animations.
-
Some numbers for everyone:
- Pyramid head moves: 4.6m/s base
- 3.68m/s when charging Rites of Judgement
- 4.4m/s When charged
- His Punishment of the Damned has a 2.75 second cooldown
- It uses 20% of his power bar
- He has a 1 second delay before he can attack out of his power, but attacking quick enough negates it.
With that in in mind, they just need to make the 1 second delay consistent or maybe add a quarter/half a second and improve some other aspect of him.
Slowing his movement in any way would severely weaken him, and the only reason it is 110% is because he has to leave trails. If they slow him down, they have to make torment more dangerous.
-
Imagine thinking a unique hook that negates perks on both sides should allow the perks to work. The cages are SUPPOSED to be unique, not just easy unhooks for survivors. This is the whole reason they removed cage auras for him.
As a 4v1, a survivor should always be a disadvantage when in a chase. There are 4 people for a reason.
He already has a 1 second delay before m1-ing out of his power, but for some reason pressing it quick enough negates the delay. They need to fix that and he'll be fine. The true change he needs is a unique wall break :)
-
Here is my suggestion:
As long as the hex is active, hitting a survivor with a basic attack will cause all pallets in a 18m radius of the survivor to be held in place by the Entity for 15 seconds, 5 seconds after they have been hit.
Basically, you hit them, they use the boost to get away, after the boost ends pallets are blocked. I still think it should be a hex as many would complain about how strong a pallet blocking perk is, but a cooldown is not needed.
-
Considering Pop exists and the requirement is basically the same but more lenient, I would remove the cooldown and increase the range a bit (maybe let it apply on all attacks, but idk). If Pop is singular gen regression, Surge could be a multi gen regression with less impact on each gen.
-
There is a ton of licenses I would love to see.
- While this is generic, FNAF could make a good chapter. Some may not find it scary, but it doesn't have to be scary to be in DBD.
- A more lesser known one would be Carrion, the creature has many things it could have for it's power, the issue would be how would it move and hook.
- Dark Souls and Bloodborne would be amazing, but not happening.
- Jason, of course.
- A Quiet Place would be interesting.
- Resident Evil is another obvious one.
- Dead Space would be a dream come true.
