Pretty bad. I know how much it sucks for someone to get completely mismatched and put in a hopeless battle, so i'll usually try to do my part to make things a little better.
If i'm a survivor and I notice the killer's babey, i'll usually just slow down on gens, focus on chests, totems, the like. I don't want to turn it into a 1v3 necessarily since that ain't fair to my fellow survivors, but I don't wanna just pump gens like a tournament game.
If i'm a killer, i'll pretend to be way worse when chasing baby survivors. I'll act like a horror movie monster. Taking corners wide, swinging and barely missing, pretending to lose them before picking up the scent again, make sure they have an actual.. y'know, game.

Are you just here necroing every old Freddy thread or... what?
Y'know, I was just about to ask once I noticed it was both him.

Peace.

Look. People here can make silly recommendations here all day about the whole slugging thing that absolutely don't work and aren't practical.
But if you don't run No Mither to counter slugging you're a coward.
You know it, I know it, we all know it.
-
Depends on the circumstances of the DC.
If it's the "game just started and you downed me/game just started and you made a good play and got away" DC, then nah. If you literally can't handle the game not immediately going your way, then maybe today's not a day you should play.
If it's the "nothing the whole game's gone right and at this point i'm just being BM'd", like a killer never getting a down over multiple gens and getting t-bagged on the other side of pallets, or a survivor just never getting a chance and getting immediately focused down, smacked on the hook and tunneled/camped straight 'till death with teammates not helping, I can sympathize. I'd take a more graceful out, but I don't blame 'em or get mad at 'em.

Blight's a good boi and I hope he stays the same.

Why the hell is everyone in such a hurry to come to the forums and announce how free the rent in their heads are?

I see a lot of comments here that are pretty much the same and I want to respond in one post:
- "Sorry you aren't good" or "I'm better and you are not" - sorry your perceived ability to play the game is more important than your humanity
- "Probably laugh when Survivor DCs" - nope. I already responded to this.
- "It's on you if the game bothers you, take responsibility" - I do. Do you?
- "It's not all players/Survivors fault" - You're right. It's not. Interesting that you think you may be one of them? What do you know we don't?
- "It's the Killers fault if they want to DC" - it's their choice 100% but for you to pretend your gameplay has no part in it is supreme arrogance.
And to the stories of Killer's DCing with seemingly no reasons or what you consider to be "baby" reasons - you have no idea what they saw or experienced. You aren't them. But you can check your own actions and change them accordingly.
End of the day we can only control what we do in life (and this game). You can't control others and I don't expect people act differently. I know I am speaking for many Killers with my original post and I stand by it. Sorry if it ya can't take the heat.
Maybe don't word your accusation so vaguely that literally anyone that reads it can think you're talking about them.
Coulda just said "you t-baggers and clicky clickers and toxic players are at fault", but nah. The all-encompassing "it's because of you." Who's you? Just anyone in a game with a DCing killer? The guy just playing the game? The guy being an absolute sweatgoblin trying to ruin the killer's fun? Do you even make the distinction? Why the vagueness?
If you actually did think the wording through and wanted to """catch""" people thinking they're one of those toxic players you were actually talking about with wry wit and clever wordgames, then perhaps silence is the loudest response I can give you.
-
Now that you mention it..
When was the last time my SWF buddy came over and helped mow my lawn?
-
I don't think he's bad, I just think he's not as aggressively good as some of the more noticeable options.
Plus, his addons're full of things that don't directly help you kill people faster, which most people are allergic to. Hence, rat liver (a brown addon) is considered the best, 'cause it does the killmurder fastbestest.
I think he's a fair killer who could use some positive tweaks and some better addons.
-
Dude, do we have a Navy Seal on our forum?
-
Probably the same thought process that got Moris in the way they were.
It went something like
-
Hey, here's a thought.
If you decide to launch the game, queue up, get into a match, you know well what the game's like and what you're getting into, and you think you wanna give it a go anyways..
And then, because you apparently hadn't realized you're not equipped for the possibility of having a bad match or two in a multiplayer game where you know and accepted that this could happen, decide you want to make the multiple step deliberate process of disconnecting from the match..
That's on you. Entirely. Forward and backward. They played the game, you decided you didn't wanna anymore. No shame in leaving it at that.
But I invite you to contemplate how unbelievable it is for you to see that process and tsk as you shake your head, waggling your finger and going "this is all your faults. How could you make them do that? Blight upon the community that you are, for shame."
Imagine speaking down to a community of people playing a videogame like this.
I'm not even saying that some people who play aren't absolute fun vampires who ought to be talked down to more from time to time, but for gods' sake, let people have some self-responsibility.
-
Remember, the killer can't even be responsible for pressing escape and going over to the "Leave game" button, because it always makes me feel better to have someone else to blame.
-
The difference is that the wrong people are winning, duh.
-
There's no perk to put a brain in your teammates' heads, unfortunately-- that one you just gotta hope and pray on.
-
In an ideal world, a map offering to any map would be just fine.
In current day DbD, there's a map tier list.
A lot of abusable things by SWF ought to be changed/removed, and Strode Realty Key, the Pied Piper and Heart Locket are a couple of 'em.
-
Jesus, this is sad.
Who tbagged you at the gate this time, buddy? 'Cause I know when I get annoyed with a game, my first instinct is to go piss out generalizations in a nice populated place so I can fish for people to come tell me "wow, you're so right, they really are all the same huh? Gosh we really are just the saddest little victims."
Go take a yoga class with the rest of the tear troupe and work out all that bitter.

"UNTIL THE DEVS DO EXACTLY WHAT I SAY I'M GOING TO RUIN EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE I CAN EEEEEEEE"
Mmhkay.
-
Mmmmmmmmmmwhy?
-
How many of these "THEN LET ME BE EVIL" posts are there?
-
I have to say, this is the first time i've ever heard anyone complain about Corrupt Intervention, and
I'm sorry you really didn't enjoy it?
But it's completely fine.
-
Give it a 3 second window where you can't vault windows, pull down pallets or vault pallets and it'll be fine.
-
I want Bill to whip out a shotgun and just blow away all the killers.
-
Some people are #########.
Don't know what else to tell you, man.
-
What.
-
I get the feeling you saw the "Antidote can affect Survivors too" part and that's literally the only thing you took away from this whole rework.
-
Oh.
-
You've got several perks to deal with slugging, gamer, use 'em.
If your whole-ass team ends up on the ground, then that's your B.
-
Imagine being this guy
-
CLOWN HAS ALERTED THE HORDE
-
Everyone just exploding on this year old post and i'm not sure why.
-
I'm starting to feel a lil' tipsy just looking at the list.
-
Would you even be able to see it?
I can't see jack with the screen all black and worbly.
-
I've come to the conclusion that you need to cover up those holes in the wall and start taking your medication again.
-
How dare you get me this hard.
-
Why understand the new uses and utilities of Undying when I could just doomsay and headbutt walls in a rage?

Daring today, aren't we.

Yes yes but plenty of people who are well aware of their own mistakes and also like to discuss the balancing of the game they partake in may want to do so, so I don't think your first 2 comments in the thread are helpful. Especially considering you actually agree the perk is overtuned.
The second was a comment on the mentality killers have when it comes to DS so it's on topic, and the first was a joke.
Spare me one.

There are lots of killers with plenty of hours in this game who believe DS is OP or at least overtuned. Or I guess you believe they are all mentally conditioning themselves.
Myself I can take a loss, and I've been playing this game for 2 months so don't expect to be winning every game with a 4k. I can see that DS clearly has design issues.
You can believe something's OP/Overtuned and not let it get to you.
I think it should at least be made so it doesn't trigger on a grab, or something a little less invincibility bubble and actually anti-tunnel.
But i'm talking about seeing someone with DS and just being like "Ooh nothing I can do, DS gamer, 0k incoming". I see so many people who mentally defeat themselves as soon as they get a whiff of it and only press on so they can feel justified looking at the end result perk screen and saying "See, look, what was I supposed to do?"
There's a bucket of mistakes you made during the match, and a bucket of things DS prevented.
And a loooot of people would rather shove it all into the latter bucket no matter the spread.

I’m not here for popularity points. I’m not here to intentionally upset anyone either.
If I can cope fine at red ranks, against red ranks, not letting DS or Unbreakable bother me, I simply want to help others understand that there are ways to play whereby those perks don’t become a problem.
I truly believe the devs won’t change these perks because survivors can only use them once.
But why do that when you could mentally condition yourself to believe there's nothing you can do and that a loss isn't your fault if someone has DS?

They won’t do anything about it because survivors can only use it once. These complaints about DS are absurd.
Just eat the stun as early in the match as possible. Remove it from the game. There! DS is no longer a problem with that particular survivor.
Watch out my guy, you're gonna lose another legendary killer's vaunted respect with opinions like this.

I feel this is a question only the Dev's can answer and am curious to know the answer too. I'd love to have the gameplay tweaked to where I feel I don't have to run DS. I hate running DS, I really do. Its a one-time chance perk that I'd rather not touch but there's always those Killers who make me feel like I have to put it into my loadout. Yesterday I got tunneled twice directly off of a hook by a Plague when I took my DS off, and what made it worse was that me and my friends wanted everyone to get a good portion of BP's at the end of the match so we ran 3 BPS and 1 Ghastly Gateau. I got less points than I would if I were running a regular game with no extra BP's offerings. Lol
How common is the situation where you think "You know what, I don't need DS, i'll unequip it for something else!"
Only to immediately have a game that justifies putting it back on?
-
You're going to get us vs them answers, but we can only speculate unless BHVR actually says anything.
-
I, for one, would love if the game took a few queues from Friday and let me give the killer an in-depth counselling session on why they feel like they need to kill people again.

Sorry thought with skill checks survivors could get a gen done in 60
Alone, you would have to get 25 great skills checks to complete a gen in 60 seconds.

In the time of 2 minutes 3 unoccupied survivors can get 6 generators completed, but since they only need to get 5 done they will have a good amount of time to open the gates and leave
Iiiiiiiiiiii don't think your math checks out there.
