right now my mind is tied between Zarina and Quentin.
No offence to Ace or Steve I just don't like either of them, and if I have to hear Steve's hook scream every game I'm going to cry

As long as Meg, Yui, Claire, and Claudette are prestiged, you’re good.
I've even done her, just for you.

Really... idk, Up to you really. Imo there no point in P3 survivors all perks since the grind for even 1 P3 with all perks is unbearable for me. I've only prestige Meg, Ace, (P1) and Jill, Leon the only 2 that are P3.
Killers I prestige them only once and use it to mark the killer's I enjoy playing as they'll get BPs and all perks.
You're telling me there's no point to prestige in a thread where I specifically ask who I should next, because I need something to grind for, and explain that I've already prestiged 15 survivors. Very helpful.

You put Laurie as a survivor you have available, or were those the ones you already prestiged?
They're the ones I've already prestiged; added some pictures to make it easier

I definitely agree with that. Dead Hard is a great example of that. It robs killers hits way too many times when they deserve those hits. I haven’t heard one killer say that survivors suck for running it but god forbid if killers camp or tunnel, they’re just automatically bad at the game.
May I introduce you to

thats mean they destroyed all 5 totems during mid game
Did you bring Thrill of the Hunt? How else would you know they cleansed all five totems by mid-game, when only three of your four hex perks would notify you they were cleansed? And you, of course, couldn't bring Thrill if you had NOED, Ruin, Devour, Undying.

@playhard said:
but RNG totem is so fk terrible, even your best hex spawning beside of generator and survivor. The burn totem event is located on a hill and can look away easily. Why spawn RNG so #########. I make a quick experiment with powerfull 3 Hex Totem : Ruin, Devour Hope, Undying, and Noed and wow. all totem destroyed during mid of the game 😪
Interesting how your NOED totem is gone midway through the game, when the perk only activates during the Endgame.

Either OP is playing on AU or AS servers, matchmaking is giving them rank 1 teammates despite being rank 20, or they're lying. Something is really off about this post because survivors at the start of the game are clueless and get curbstomped by killers.

If it's alright to ask (it's implied so I hope it is), are you yourself black? If so what do you think of Adam and Tapp? I'm going to be working on Tapp soon but Adam, as cool as he looks has some of the worst perks in the entire game. Anytime I play with anyone I know I point out the "pebble perk" and we all point at him and laugh.
No, I'm white, and grew up around other white people who think it's okay to use the n-slur. Claudette is genuinely the reason I got myself out of that mindset.
As for what I think of Adam and Tapp, I think they're cool characters. I don't see myself maining them- I don't think they look that great, I don't like their lore and voice acting, and they don't really have great cosmetics imho, but I can totally see why people like them, and if you do like them, feel completely free!

You're acting exactly like the people you're describing though.
Why shouldn't people play Ruin Undying Tinkerer Blight with Alchemist Ring? Stuff like "Blight doesn't really need this" are just opinions, not a fact.
Maybe the DBD community should dedicate their energy to blaming the devs as they're the ones who get paid to make the game and decide what goes into it, instead of constantly pointing fingers at the players as if it's their responsability to make sure the game is "fun" and "fair".
How am I- someone complaining about people on both sides who run nothing but the easiest builds because they don't want to get good at the game- acting like the people who run the easiest builds because they don't want to get good at the game?
i can show you my usual builds for both sides, if you want, and the only meta perks show up on killer. even then, there's no ruin, undying, spirit or blight in sight.

It shouldn't give me a different rank on the scoreboard
Why not? It's one rank higher than your current one, which makes about as much difference as a change.org petition, and isn't used in matchmaking (the one shown on your client is). Furthermore, because of the tiny difference in ranks, it makes no difference to you attempting to smurf by playing on an entirely different console.
This isn't an issue, and affects nothing but the graphics on your screen, as the Scoreboard is correctly updated for all other clients.
-
It clearly says you're 19 on your end, and that's all that matters. The scoreboard doesn't reflect what is used to matchmake.

Karu here hit the nail on the head this is often how killers work, it is very rare for someone to truly tunnel, and again I stress "IT IS NOT THE KILLER'S JOB TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FUN THAT'S YOUR JOB!"
this may be an odd request but if you wouldnt mind, could you use the full username? or shorten it down to GBK?
when i made the name i was fine but something happened since then + now i only really like friends calling me that one. sorry for the inconvenience '^^

Because I return to the hook to find someone to chase if I haven't seen them already. If you're the most recently unhooked person and you're all I can see, I'll leave you to vibe on the ground because I feel bad. If this happens again I will genuinely just ignore you; I don't want to tunnel someone, but if I know people will be at the hook and I've found nobody else I'll go back there in hopes of seeing someone.
Usually it works, so does ignoring the unhooked unless they prevent me going forward with bodyblocks. That's the only time I'll voluntarily tunnel.
-
Claudette: I was an edgy kid and the only reason I started playing her was because she was black. :/
Then I got attached to her while becoming less edgy and racist. :D
Now I actually really like her lore and character design, and the graphical updates were a massive plus to her IMHO.
David: I wanna lick ice cream off his abs.
Freddy: Old Freddy was really fun for me to play, even if I didn't play him in the optimal way and actually used double blocks just so I could chase people quicker. I just liked his style.
New Freddy: Despite reaching rank 1 I was garbage and he was easy to play so I stuck with him till I got goof at regular M1 killer things, got bored of him and Pyramid Head came out.
Wraith: First character I prestiged, first killer I ever played, he's low-key cute.
Pyramid Head: I think this clip speaks more than I can.

She's not that bad so long as you have iron will, now that stridor is nerfed. The footstep bug just makes it better. It's not a problem but once this bug is fixed she will still need turning down. She is still the 2nd best killer in the game when sounds work correctly, or when the survivor doesn't have iron will.
The threads vanished because people aren't annoyed by her anymore. People create threads as a reaction to take out their frustration, most of the time, instead of attempting to provide logical feedback. This is why most threads are "This is OP. Nerf this thing. You're useless at your jobs" instead of "This is OP. Nerf this thing. This is how I'd do it."
So, instead of being annoyed at sprit, they're being annoyed by Ruin Undying Tinkerer Blight players, where all the spirit mains have moved now that their old killer takes some small modicum of skill to use. Just like when the old 3-4 blink Nurse mains moved to Spirit, then to Freddy, then to Spirit when they realised she was still bullshit op, and now to Blight.
It's a constant cycle of moving to the next most OP thing to eliminate as much skill needed as possible instead of getting good at the game, only counteracted by survivor players who do the exact same thing (except don't need to since their meta hasn't changed since David King released).

Lead the killer to you by "accident" in a chase? They'll do it.
now you see thats just ######### to do, if i really want out of the game ill just stand under the hook. killers usually oblige when you do that.
That's usually my gameplan as well when things go tits up within 3 seconds and I can't be asked to deal with solo anymore. Just stand near a hook and AFK; I can't solo carry a garbage team that drop Shack at 5 gens and all go down within a minute. To a Legion.
Unfortunately, some in this community are spiteful bastards.

So make a post that says, "When someone unhooks you while you're trying to get sacrificed, please run back to the killer instead of sandbagging the whole team." That's the person whose behavior you need to change -- not the people trying to play normally.
I'm already well aware attempting to speak to the entitled pricks won't do anything, hence this post.
-
I wouldn't say it's meme worthy. I was playing as Legion vs 3 lads with it and once they were deep wounded it was genuinely impossible to track anyone except the 4th for the first 4 minutes of the match. Yeah, they were healing vs legion so I won by default but it was still frustrating.
-
I went regular mode- technically. The build was Agitation, BBQ, Haunted, and Starstruck. I got 8 of them as Nurse, as 4 of them as Wraith (coincidentally in that wraith game I was accused of camping and tunneling, and reported for it. I only camped when one was dead because two were in basment and I was watching Steve with the all-seeing add-on lol. Outplayed I guess).

didnt mandy say we werent getting any new stranger things content?

blight players mistake public games for competitve and are dead set on making every survivor player uninstall.

You're still of use to me as a teammate until you're dead.
i made this post because im sick and tired of people sandbagging after they were rescued. if people are going to waste every resource while not in chase, bodyblock, purposefully miss every skillcheck, etc, i would much rather have nobody at all than someone. if people will play like that, they are of no use to me. they are nothing but a hindrance and i would prefer them out of the game than in it and making life even worse than they would.

I did and I didn't like your opinion on about the topic, why should everyone else potentially lose the game over someone getting upset? Why play the game in the first place?
Well considering you were directing your comments towards me-
"If your going to ruin the game for the remaining survivors because you wanted to have a pout about whatever upset you why are you playing the game in the first place? Take a break or go play a different game if your going to be upset in the first couples minutes of the game. It isn’t fun for the killer to 3v1 and neither is it for the survivors. Behavior isn’t holding you hostage to play their game."
Note the use of the pronoun "You/Your"? Yeah, that's what that means- you are directing it towards me, as you mentioned nobody else in your comment.
And if you were to read my post, you'd find me saying to let these survivors kill themselves on hook to prevent them from sandbagging and further ruining the game, by creating a 3v2 scenario instead of a 3v1. Survivors in my lobbies do not return to normal gameplay, but instead are deadset on sandbagging the entire team. Of course I report in these instances, but it's still incredibly annoying.
So, since you directed your comment towards me, who is complaining about people who attempt to kill themselves on hook and don't manage it so take their anger out on their teammates, you're telling me to... stop getting upset within the first couple of minutes because of this happening, I guess? Which, honestly, seems like a worse opinion.
-
@TicTac said:
In my experience most of them continue playing or wait on the hook for the killer.
Once i got an unsafe unhook with BT and once one survivor dropped all pallets on the map. But in both matches we had lost anyway.
So i will continue to rescue them, if im nearby and have no gen to finish. Free bloodpoints and they need to wait a bit more.
i wish we shared experiences please swap teammates with me

Sounds like some internal strife. Hoping and praying for you, bro, it's a game. No amount of fun (or work) should have such an impact on your life that you feel really bad (or really good for that matter). Aren't these things truly trivial in this great experience and gift of life?
Enjoy what you do and be the graceful GoodBoy you are.
If it helps, go split some wood. For myself, I can always find a means of balancing the heat and cool of the day when I'm splitting rounds or pretending to be a huntress and tossing hatchets.
that comment was more aimed to real life issues as well, not just dbd, but i will admit it'd make life playing this game a lot easier if i could just not get tilted.
unironically, when this game gets too annoying i just move to playing just dance instead. im not exactly... physically fit, and most times i try doing anything sports wise i get reminded of that, but just dance seems to be the one game that doesn't make me feel awful about myself :D
i dont think being the one person in my family who's been absolutely hammered by the covid vaxx has helped much- they all got off fine, i only got the first dosage and i got bedridden with nausea and now i have a constant headache. hopefully it'll go away soon- meant to after a week

I'll continue taking my chances, i think it's worth rescuing anyway. Maybe 1/3 times i rescue someone that wants to kill themselves goes to grief the game and being able to report him so he doesn't do it to more survivors in the future is good for the game. Griefing is bannable but killing yourself on hook is not since you can't prove he wasn't just trying to 4% or claim ignorance on how it works etc.
i wish it was 1 in 3 but recently it seems to be 90 in 91

They just need to remove the DC penalty and add the bots that replace people in game, the bots play better than half the teammates I get on solo anyway, they get to leave the game like they want and you get a teammate that actually will do something it's a win for both sides , I haven't been playing the game as much because of this kind of thing it seems like more and more people are just giving up in game making it a 3v1, people want to complain about SWF but this is the exact reason that some people would rather play in a SWF than deal with brainless randoms who either die immediately and give up or they hide the whole match and don't do anything at all
if only the dbd mobile devs could move to main game + implement this feature...
(and yes, this is the reason i refused to touch survivor for over a month at one point, not just solo).

I've never had them do that. They either just disconnect right away or go get themselves killed right away.
Either way to me, the game is likely dead in the water anyway since it can be hard enough as a solo player in red ranks to survive with a full team, let alone 3 v 1. I'm going to grab what points I can from the baby and go from there. If they decide to throw a temper tantrum over it and start working with the killer and/or just being annoying, that's on them.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference when you're right next to the hook already though
Like I said in an earlier comment, if you're right there and someone ends up going for the 3rd one, or they go into struggle + miss the first check, chances are they want out
-
@tippy2k2 said:
If someone is killing themselves on the hook (especially right away), the game is basically dead anyway. I'm going to try to get my WGLF stack and Altruism points. They want to leave so badly, they can go find the killer again or DC.

And I absolutely ######### wish that's all they'd do but they don't and it's really pissing me off

Survivors killing themselves on hook for their own bosted plays is always a sight to see.

And so long as the game becomes a 3v1, and the Killer is competent, that Survivor already just ruined the game for the others. Get a timeout or get locked in bud.
I'm not the one killing myself, I'm the one stuck with the survivors who decide to be a ######### and ruin my game and my experience personally by dragging the killer to me because someone else saved them.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
How can i tell the difference between a survivor wanting to get out of the game and a survivor meming trying to get a kobi before i unhook?
if they end up missing the first struggle check is usually a fair sign, or if they go for the third kobe
-
Plenty do, but plenty more stay there just to ruin everyone else's games
-
@[Deleted User] said:
So long as they're unwilling to actually exit the game, they're still a meatbag that can be used for a distraction.
While they remain in that game unwillingly the best case scenario is that they'll go AFK, at which point the killer will most likely ignore them due to them being AFK. When they start getting more malicious with their actions, the killer still ignores them because now the survivor is helping the killer out. There is almost no benefit and a lot of downsides to doing this, unless you are a 3man team and the one trying to leave is a rando.
