Anything would do.
Broken, Exposed, Mangled, Haemmorhage, Oblivious, etc.

By far the clunkiest and buggiest killer in the entire roster.
Like, Victor still sometimes clips into the ground sometimes, softlocking your game.
Those dedicated to them can pull off some really impressive stunts, but to the regular player a third of your pounces are going to fly off into the sunset because you hit the wall funny.
-
The survivor should still be able to “leave” proper by touching the exit areas, or fall off the map to land back in the regular play area, so I can’t imagine it being that severe.

On the chances of the maps appearing more often: This isn't actually the case. We can control how often certain maps appear. In cases like this, maps with multiple variations have lowered chances.
For example, Suffocation Pit I or Suffocation Pit II have half the chance to appear as any other map on their own, but you're just as likely to be sent to one of the Suffocation Pit maps as any other map.
Is that also confirming they’re gonna be called [name] I & [name] II, like Badham Preschool?

Guessing it’s more like how Sanctum works. For now, it’s the only map that has two shack spawns.

I would say that you’re overestimating the accuracy of the information SWF provides.
Not every SWF communicates in a clock system, by a long shot. The extent of it will be “im on front of main building” or “im in basement in shack” at best.
Besides, you can still see the hook itself happening. You need to be paying attention.
-
You can check your tickets on the support page. I forget where exactly, but you can find a list of every ticket submission and if action has been taken on it.
You’ll only see it in-game when action has been taken.

When I first encountered it as killer, I thought it was a hacker. I have never seen a Survivor sprint around the Swamp map or any map. It was not normal speed, not even close.
Then today, someone in my Survivor SoloQ did the same thing. The speed is at least doubled.
That may actually just be a cheater. MFT only increases movement speed by 3%. Nothing else besides exhaustion perks should be able to increase that further.
And Dark Theory ig, but-

Once you get hit once, you basically have to rely on the Spirit being unable to find you to last anything over 10 seconds.
Remember when people said you should run Iron Will to counter her? Yeah
Like, yeah, you can hear her. But she can also hear you, and you have to keep moving or find a pallet immediately.
She’s the very opposite of a killer you can hold W against.
-
Where did they go?! as a near-exclusive solo was one of those things that just eventually had to happen to you.
Also can't imagine doing Left Behind now.
And I don't even have Outbreak Breakout yet

A 600 BP event in Survival whenever a generator is completed, regardless of what the survivor is doing.
Funnily enough, this was the topic of one of my very first posts on these forums.

I mean, the ironic name is kinda the point. Remember that this game’s premise is very, very grim.

You’ll notice their right hands are rather occupied when holding an item.
You’ll also notice they need those right hands to do the animations.

Having a hard time picking an absolute favourite. I’m kind of a Jack-Of-Most-Trades when it comes to killers.
Gameplay-wise, Slinger, when he works, is some of the best killer gameplay I’ve ever had. Given that he was also my first experience with ADS’ing, I’ve also come quite a ways with him.
Sadako was my favourite until very recently. I have a tendency to gravitate towards lesser-played characters (although not the very least picked.) To me, it was her combination of efficacy through on-the-fly teleports, and the fact people consistently kinda underestimated how good a non-slugging Sadako could be. But now that she’s been updated I can’t consistently teleport away from a bad chase anymore, meaning more downtime that I often can’t really afford. Also Slugdako’s have soured her character.
As for theming, predictably I have to say Artist. She is birb lady, and I like birbs. The fantasy of controlling an army of crows seems really fun, and when she just came out I had a great time with her. But now that players have adapted to her I’m struggling to make sense of her playstyle.

It's cool that we totally didn't see this coming when they introduced the rift back in the day. When they said all the stuff in the rift would be purchasable a year after. Just pure greed.
Surely making it available in the store is more a sign of greed than keeping it locked away?
It's not like they "hoard" cosmetics so the players can't have 'em.

Clown is a hidden S++ tier menace. This is why the recent updates
- made him unable to look down
- changed his point of view so his hands cover more of the screen
- removed the mist around bottle icons to confuse players
- made it possible to change bottles already thrown for further confusion
Forget Pig, nerf Clown even harder! We'll compensate by practicing more and playing even nastier! The Clown-threat cannot be contained!
HA-HAA-HAAA! *cough* *cough*
ahhh that’s what was happening with the bottles mid-flight.
i really thought I was losing it

youve answered your own question

Not really applicable for the PTB, but I reckon the Player Cards are coming this mid-chapter, with the rift.
-
they can't just outright killswitch entire game mechanics
No idea how complicated it would be to prevent flashlights from appearing in chests, so I think killswitching the coins is the best way to go.
-
@Melinko said:
Vauts broken, Alien broken neither a priority.
Flashlight glitch and insta killswitch.
How about killswitch Xeno as well as a sign of caring about survivor mains as well?
These kind of actions are helping to add to the killer vs survivor mentality in the community. And yes, I understand that a couple people running with flashlights could create a terrible situation for killers but unless it was 4 people working together, there was still people to hunt while one person just wasted their own time in a locker. Would be better if they kill switched lockers but doing that would have hurt killers since a majority now run Pefect Weapon.
Also, my main killer to play is Dredge, so yeah killswitching lockers would have made him useless but I still think it was the better choice. Survivors have no shot to safe a teammate from being hooked now (Don't say flashbang as you are saying to waste a perk slot versus carrying an item)
you do realise a killswitch is only applicable for something selectable and/or determined before the game starts, right?
There's literally no way they can killswitch lockers.
And Xeno isn't gamebreaking broken. That should be obvious. And he's likely being worked on as we speak.
-
I mean, the whole point of TCM is, essentially, tunnelling someone to death.
-
The thing with Legion was that their power was not at all like advertised. Everyone was expecting something like Knight, or some kind of disguising killer.
We got "hehe knife goes brrr"

For the killswitch to work the person has to relaunch their game.
I thought they forced a title-screen reboot after a killswitch now?
might be a cheater right there

Ahh nevermind then.
Btw. the forum mods have been working on the weekend. So i´m not really sure on how much of that "no work on weekends" is really being abolished.
I’ve noticed that too, but the Mods are volunteers, I believe. Ie., not directly employed by BHVR.

I read it 3 times and still am confused on what you mean.
The company policy abolishing overtime and working the weekends. That’s a good thing.
It just happens to result in moments like this where there’s no one to crack down on gamebreaking exploits.

Uhm no, i won´t let that count. BHVR is big enough to ensure service 7 days per week. Its a live service game after all.
That goes against the company’s entire philosophy.
Frankly, it’s a good thing. It just happens to sometimes result in this kind of thing.
-
The wildest thing to me is the people that are defending abusing it. Comparing it to a 3-genning Merchant.
Like, really? How petty can you possibly be?
Hope the killswitch comes in asap.

No, it's just strong overall. I see so many people claim that the Endurance is somehow weak because BT exists. To those people, I recommend learning to preserve your Endurance and not taking a hit immediately off hook.
Ah yes, I’mma just dodge the killer that’s standing less than a meter away from me.

If you can't actually answer questions, what's the point of hosting an AMA in the first place
They know their community and they know what we are likely to ask about
Because if they don't, they get accused of not being transparant enough.
As Peanits once stated on this very matter, they just can't win.

Imagine if he did all that by default, and then still gets to have a full build to go alongside it. On every map.
this is a problem why?
You really don’t think it’d be an issue that Doctor had the following basekit:
Effectively no TR to signal his approach, because a map-wide TR becomes meaningless for indicating distance.
Map-wide pings on a cooldown of a minute, for free. Increasing madness by 1 tier for every hit, allowing for even more tracking through add-ons. With the only counter being hiding in a locker immediately when you hear the very low and quiet wind-up.
Effective incapacitation at tier 3, which admittedly doesn’t last too long but that’s besides the point. It happens every three minutes, too.
The ability to force survivors to let go off gens across the map, regardless of where he is or what he’s doing, meaning guaranteed DMS value, only countered by a really contrived game of prediction on the survivors’ end.
Effective on every map. Not just the Game. Every map.
Whilst still allowing him the luxury of having a full build without the need to dedicate anything to expanding his TR??
AND the fact Doc still has his anti-loop M2 ability?
Mind you, a Doc that has a map-wide terror radius by default does not need to run perks or add-ons to increase his TR. Hell, Distressing and M&A are then completely useless on him. So what’s a Doc gonna run? Coulrophobia, Overwhelming Presence, Unnerving Presence, DMS, Jolt, Starstruck, Ultimate Weapon, Infectious, etc.. Only players actively handicapping themselves would not run perks to abuse the fact that his TR is map-wide. Hell, he can forgo information perks entirely, because he gets map-wide pings every minute.
You really don’t think that’s an issue?

gideon's doctor confirmed to be busted. /shrug.
I mean, Doc can do that now with a dedicated build, sure. But it's only really effective on 2 maps (Gideon and Midwich), and takes up 1 perk slot at the very least to achieve.
Imagine if he did all that by default, and then still gets to have a full build to go alongside it. On every map.
why are we even arguing about this like its ever going to happen this is so silly -
You don’t vault as Xeno, so suddenly vaulting very fast is sure to catch survivors by surprise.

tbf plague and legion exist. And on the map wide spread of power. i mean we got new sadako now who can actually kill you with her map wide increases. Doctor just stalls the team every 60 seconds if they go madness 3. But yeah honestly id just make his normal tr bigger to like 40 meters to not make the bigger tr such a mandatory thing using his addons. So you can use more of a spread.
But that's the extent of their power. Legion in particular gets the first hit, but is then just an M1 killer if they don't get 5 chain-hits off.
As for Plague, you can heal against her. That's included in her power. If you don't, she's also just an M1 with improved mid-chase tracking.
Sadako is the best comparison, I guess, but even then she doesn't just know where you are when she teleports. And, once again, she's also just an M1 killer with some mindgame potential.
The thing with this Doc hypothetical is that everything mentioned is happening at once. You have no idea how far he is, you are not healing, period if you don't bring Inner Healing. He gets map-wide pings every minute or less, AND can force a map-wide DMS at the literal tap of a button. AND that's not even mentioning Doc has anti-loop.
-
A map-wide Terror Radius would be busted for various reasons.
He would get a map-wide ping every minute, through his Static Blast. Less with add-ons.
TR perks would be hilariously effective if it was map-wide. Coulrophobia in particular would just shut down healing almost entirely.
You'd have no way of knowing how far away he is. A constant TR is effectively no TR, information wise.
His passive Madness increase was removed when his power was overhauled years ago. He must zap or use Static Blast to increase madness.

Ah ######### i’m so sorry to hear that.
Like the others have said, she was very clearly loved and will be sorely missed.
-
As others have said, it’s rather bad at doing its intended job if the killer is already there when you get unhooked. One extra, immediate hit is all it takes to nullify almost all anti-tunnelling measures. The aura hiding and silencing part is useless against hard tunnellers too, since they already know where you are and where you’re going. You’re leaving scratch marks and blood, because you can’t stand still either, so you’re just screwed regardless.
Nurse, Blight and Wesker to a lesser degree just do not care at all. One M1-hit as you land on your feet, and they’re already immediately besides you in less than 5 seconds if you’re particularly unlucky.
-
@buckk0097 said:
it kicks you off the generator too and activate dead man switch
By that point DMS will already have used a substantial amount of its duration. Unless someone on the survivor side got found pretty much instantly after the first one was hooked.
Quite a lot of circumstances need to be right for DMS to proc through Jolt.
-
Good grief some of y’all are very clearly due a break from the game.
It’ll always be around 6/7/8 for me.
Solo Queue can be pretty damn miserable sometimes, but a large part of that is just not really solveable. You just can’t fix stupid.
Also, it may be recency bias, but I also do not recall matchmaking being any better before MMR was introduced proper. I regularly faced curbstompers, whilst having very starchy teammates with less than 10 hours. The latter has significantly improved. The former very much not.
