Yeah some, not all. People are acting like it’s the end of the world when it ######### isn’t, it’s entitlement to the max.
Yes it is entitlement. It's 2022 and there are other games that are more fun than dbd is right now.
-
Nope. I will probably come back for the Halloween event. Have fun though.

Or and hear me out here, survivors havent figured out what works best yet and instead of staying for a while and seeing how the meta settles you decided to book it.
Which is understandable but imo you just expected to just cruise along doing as well as you have been doing in a completely new survivor meta and when that, obviously, didnt happen you gave up.
Am i being optimistic in thinking the survivors experience will get better as people figure out what works best and what to abuse? Probably. But i think thats whats going to happen in 1 week max.
Lots of assumptions there.

Holding m1 longer isn't fun. Want to know what IS fun? Being able to engage in multiple chases a match because the killer doesn't get genrushed in the first 4 minutes is fun. Longer games mean more time to engage in the actually fun part of the game. Crazy concept, I know.
If you enjoy being chased, that is. Not everyone uses a chase build and not everyone agrees with you that being chased is the funnest aspect of playing survivor. I've played plenty of games where I do every gen while the 3 kids run around like monkeys, only to have those monkeys leave me on a hook and escape without me. Which is a big reason why I don't want to play dbd anymore, among other reasons.

"Killers are having too much fun. I'm taking my ball and going home."
Jesus, I love this update; it's really pulled back the curtain and shows just how many Survivors have no idea how to do basic things like Loop, Kite, etc. and were just relying on second chance perks to bully Killers.
"I don't want to play matches where effectively the game is over for us in the first couple of minutes because we have little chance of coming back from a mistake due to [STUPID REASON]"
Now put yourself in the Killers shoes before the patch. Do you think people wanted to play matches that were 'over in the first couple of minutes" because the SWF has perfect comms and is plowing 3 gens in the first 2 minutes of the match before the killer can even get a hook?
Now that the shoe is on the other foot, you're going to uninstall and come to the DBD forums to complain about a game you apparently aren't playing anymore. 😂
Bullying is the way to go. Isn't that what Yoda said? You're like Yoda.

Oh nah, I'm usually a hook build gamer (Breakdown, Renewal, Deliverance, Camaraderie)
Oh nice! I love creating a specialist build for teamplay, as well.

Guess it’s time to go on strike
Why torture ourselves? I didn't even try playing killer after the patch. One thing that I think is hilarious is that the 100% bp bonus for playing the needed role was on survivor all day yesterday and killers seemed stumped by that bc of the pre-patch condition of the game. Everyone thought they were gonna get that 100% bp bonus for playing killer. Asking in the forums if it was glitched. While it seemed painfully obvious why the bonus stayed on survivor. 100% bp bonus isn't worth it to subject myself to that. Maybe a 500% to 1000% bp bonus MIGHT interest me. I guess we could push for that to balance out the game. Lol!
-
I have 0% interest in playing now. Other games are fun though.
-
I guess you were too busy using the perks that youtubers amd twitch streamers said were meta?
-
I already left. It feels good.
-
This is "fun" new changes!

yeah i think its over......its so boring to play now. way worse than i ever could have imagined
It definitely was boring. The game felt hollow in some way. Hmm, maybe if i spend $100 on skins it will be more fun?
-
I'm glad that someone is having fun.
-
Whoa! That's a bug or something. It's sad to see that's even happening to anyone. No you should have tier 3 perks unlocked.

Not that I'm comparing playing a video game to alcoholism, but, do you think it's as easy for an alcoholic to stop drinking as to "just put down the bottle?" It only takes one simple hand movement. My point is that saying it's "just one click" is really ignorant.
Uh... alcohol addiction can kill people if they are severely addicted and they stop drinking. That is a very bad/tasteless analogy. It's actually more offensive than what previously offended you. Alcohol kills. Video games don't kill people... yet.

Thats not good at all.
Yeah I usually play several games as survivor and then play several games as killer and if I'm having fun I usually keep switching back and forth. Tonight I played a few games as survivor and then played other games instead. The funnest thing that I did on dbd tonight was spend bp's on various bloodwebs. The game felt more hollow and about blood points in some way. Everything felt predictable. Hopefully it's just me.
-
It seems the same, but with more camping.
-
I never used dead hard. I've always used lithe. What are you gonna want them to nerf after lithe? Every other endurance perk?
P s. I already get tunneled all the time so...
-
Yes. The same builds I used before the update still work just fine and they're fun.

No, the dev specifically said in the patch notes that they thought the reason why spine chill was strong ..... was from 6% vaulting speed..definately not the reason why anyone was using the perk. spine chill+resil is niche perk combo. you would see 20% pick-rate on resilience if this was the reason.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3072033#Comment_3072033
well they could just add a small TR icon debuff for players with impaired hearing. it would work same way as any other debuff(like exposed). I highly doubt 20% of players were hearing impaired though. It sounds more like an excuse. It was mainly be used by players that enjoy survivor stealth gameplay(often used by Claudette mains).
I don't mind them weakening a meta perk, but if you weaken this perk, survivor have no other viable perks for stealth other than this perk(excluding iron will), so i think its slightly unfair for them to completely kill a play-style.
I used spine chill for the vaulting speed buff, specifically.

what happened? where are the survivors? I'm getting long qtimes as killer.
I've been playing this. It's surprisingly more fun than dbd.

Ah right, you know I'm correct, good rebuttal.
Me - can post clip of devs saying that SWF was always intended and not cheating.
You - This is BS
You - Can't post a single clip or post, or quote or comment saying that SWF was only added because of demand despite what a wiki writer "knows" they said despite not being able to post it anywhere
You - This is perfect!
Yay! Pogger! Woot!
-
Be careful what ya wish for. Especially when the game is rated M and the community is mostly little kids and casuals complaining about things that don't actually make any sense.

It is off hand though, the wiki guardian can't show me where they said it, he just said "they definitely said it" but has absolutely 0 source, he thinks that's what they said.
If he didn't add the comment for 4 years after release of SWF how can he confirm it was definitely said if he couldn't cite the source then and can't cite it now?
For example, if I put in this thread that I KNOW you called me a survivor main, but I couldn't show you where you said, I can't prove you said it, but say I definitely KNOW you said it, did you honestly, really say it? I think you'd dismiss me pretty fast, also, you said this thing 4 years ago but luckily I just remembered you said it and reminded you about it and nobody else can find where you said it but I'm saying I know you said it just because I think you said it.
Beans and toast for you pog.

Just got to second on first hook and tunneled out by the Nurse cuz my teammates are to scare to go for unhook, ggs
I had a match against a Blight last night. The first survivor hooked dc'd right as I was unhooking them. Then I just ran at the Blight for the rest of the game. The other two survivors hid while I chased the Blight. Eventually they did the remaining gens and the three of us escaped. After the match I pm'd the killer and apologized for getting in their face and I said I did that bc I got so frustrated with my teammates dc'ing and playing scared. The killer responded with a laugh and said they figured thats what was happening so they ran away from me bc the situation was so funny. Luckily, the killer had a good sense of humor. That game made me want to keep playing. Although, most of my other games didn't go so well last night.

No, it's just a sucky feeling that the other side thinks you need to be pitied just so you can get a kill/escape, it's patronizing
I've never felt that way when that happens to me. Im usually happy when that happens. Are you a streamer or something?

Because I checked the edit history and that comment wasn't added until 2020
I would love it if anyone can find the source of it being added due to "immense demand", if no Dev has ever said that (I cannot find it) then it is absolutely an offhand comment.
Edit: I've spoken to the wiki people and they've said the quote isn't an "offhand comment" it's definitely something the Devs said they just don't know when they said, or where they said it they just say it definitely happened which is funny because it was only added In 2020 and they have no source for it other than they're sure it was said
Great detective work! Woot! Good thing that comment wasn't offhand lmao.

I disagree. If this game was boring you wouldn't still play it.
-
Probably bc everyone is going to be burnt out on this game by the time the update comes.

I usually let everyone escape anyway. I still get tons of bp. I'm really only playing for bp's anyway. Do people actually play this game to be famous or somethimg?

Not looking forward to worse solo queue games with the new patch, what build do you run for solo btw, I do Kindred, BT, IW, and Adrenaline
I change it up all the time. Lately I've been playing around with overcome, built to last, kindred and open-handed.
-
The official relesse date is coming after I stop playing. Which should be very soon.
-
@Mekochi said:
Ikr! I was playing solo queue last night, that way I could finish getting my bill to prestige 3 before the new update, and I did 3 gens, was unhooking everyone, and helping to heal my teammates when I wasn't working on a generator, and I was elected to die on first hook because the other two teammates that were still alive were too scared to get me. Killer didn't have NOED or anything.
Don't even get me started on the teammate the disconnected when they were dead on hook, instead of just letting themselves die and still getting blood points, instead they wasted my time going all the way across the map to unhook them (this was when they were on second hook) and proceeded to go down within 15 seconds of me and hooking them (killer waited out BT).
Can't imagine how solo queue is going to be after this new patch, don't get me wrong, the BT being base kit is nice, but just playing solo queue now is a pain, because no one wants to go for anyone, even if you have kindred, that's not going to help you, I learned that the hard way.
That sounds like a summary of the past week of dbd, for me.
-
Everything else. COD Black Ops zombies 1-4, Sea of Thieves, RDR2, 7 Days to Die, Day Z... I have over 3TB worth of games to play.

Who says it's an offhand comment?
The wiki, as far as I can tell, generally bases that stuff on what the devs actually said at some point. When some of the admins were still active on here, you could tell they were very passionate about accuracy of the stuff they put on the wiki. Judging by that, it wouldn't sense for them to make that statement up and put it there, that seems to go against their core philosophy.
I thought the same thing.
-
I've been wondering if reset on the 13th every month messes with matchmaking? Because we go from whatever rank we've reached back to Ash 4, or whatever they call it. Or does that ranking have nothing to do with matchmaking? If it doesn't then it seems like a pointless ranking system. If it does then all players of all experience levels get thrown together until the more frequent players move up in the ranks and out of the lower tiers.
-
Theres a nurse in dbd?
-
I see all of them every night.
-
They stop moving and then they just disappear.

I love Built to Last. It's one of the most busted survivor perks that nobody is talking about, especially when combined with a fast toolbox, Streetwise, some speed/charge addons, a gen speed perk or two.
But I keep getting harassed by idiots who see me go into a locker after I finish a gen, assume I'm trying to hide the entire match, and spend all 12 seconds opening and closing the damn locker in my face. I lost my last match thanks to a survivor like this (among a bunch of other extremely rude and selfish behavior).
Should I just start announcing that I have it in the chat before the game starts? How do you deal with it?
Do you ever harass other survivors in lockers when you see them enter, and why?
I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Built to Last exists and that you should give someone fifteen seconds or so before you start slamming the locker door open and #########, if you're the kind of person who does that for whatever reason.
I love Built to Last! I usually try to do gens by myself near a locker so other survivors don't get confused. Or if I'm doing gens with someone else i usually let them go ahead after we're done on a gen and slip into a locker unseen and then catch up with them.

For me it's hard to give up a game when I know I'm good (not the best) and I get absolutely destroyed. I gotta like prove something to myself or some dumb ######### even if I get really frustrated sometimes
I played a couple of games earlier that made me feel that way. I ended up switching to survivor and had a few wins. Good to hear that you're changing up your perspective though. Killer can be frustrating sometimes. Good luck!

Trying to have fun, get better, and not take it as seriously. I can't find any games I like currently besides this one(I've tried MANY)
I know what you mean. Dbd is fun even when it isn't fun, for some reason.
