I would create a think tank of experienced players that would give me weekly feedback about balance and bugs with some kind of compensation like 1k shards for every detailed feedback.
I would rework a lot of perks since it doesn't require a lot of effort to just change some raw values and you could buff every single perk in 1 single day.
I would do weekly stream qna to assure my customers
I would hire highly skilled programmers to fix all the stuff that needs fixing
I would try to make the game more popular with the help of sponsors
I would stop with the usual sarcasm till i am sure that my customers are satisfied
And on a side note i wouldn't put the blame on one of my colleagues for being human and getting annoyed after being asked a thousand times the same question
-
Won't be a big deal since mmr will be on and you'll get paired with r20s if you never played her

Isn't Not terribly effective.....until its part of a swf thats the issue its far to powerful in this regard
Wanna know why Object is so annoying? It's not because all the infos and stuff but because survivors that use Object are clearly the strongest ones, noone complains about the baby laurie trying adept. Those top survivors using object are gonna aggravate the situation because you will get tilted by chasing them and on top of that they will tbag you from distance making the whole thing even more frustrating.
It's not terribly effective gamewise because honestly unless you are against a trapper the infos that you get are useless, it's terribly strong psychologically because it puts extra stress on the killer.
-
Because it has that old 2016 dbd vibe of when this game was unbalanced for real but funny.
-
They should either nerf it to work only for the obsession or revert it how it used to be.
But i agree with devs its not a terribly effective perk other than against trapper. All the survivors using it in my lobbies won't probably use it for a while
-
Camping is boring, if someone likes watching a single image that much, due to covid museums are doing virtual tours to show their paintings and that would be a better time investment.
-
I dodge killer mains because they're worse than r20 claudettes self caring in a corner
-
Survivors dont mind nurse being that strong because spirit is even stronger and requires 1/100 of skills
-
Along fake hooks that every time the killer hook a survivor on it the survivor breaks free without any progression and the killer gets stunned for 10 seconds
-
You brought a shroud that is legit the worst offering you can bring as killer.
Makes survivors play ultra safe cuz maybe mori and split them all on 4 different gens.
You are spirit with zori so survivors have 4 seconds of time reaction every time spine chill lights up.
Isnt stealth how survivors are supposed to play? You want loopers only when playing spirit?
Also 6k bloodpoints as killer can happen only if the killer goes afk, no way they were just "stealthy"
-
The horror aspect of the game disappears as soon as someone reaches 50hrs into the game, being tunneled doesn't scare anyone it just annoys them.
-
It was his free time, at his home streaming just because he wanted to, he wasn't streaming on dbd official channel but his own private channel.
Replying to the same question a million times outside your work time would annoy any single human being
The hate towards 1 single dev that was born after a video made by some braindead youtuber is disgusting.
Almo is not responsible for every issue the game has and the fact that now he's been judged just because he asked to stop repeating always the same question is something that would've been possible just with this whiny community.
I would love to see half of the community being asked the same question about their job when they're at home trying to relax yet replying in the same way he did
-
Good changes finally
-
I do and i also discovered jumpscare victor which is quite funny
-
This is quite neat
20210121115134_1.jpgAnd even if in this one the face clips its still pretty cool
-
When they made all the maps from og mcmillan they made 1 map just for one tree, that map is quite old and pretty basic, was surprised when they managed to nerf it even more with map reworks

That has a lot of contradictions there, in it, on your part... Im surprised you dont seem to see that yourself.
Do you play Killer how much?
-
I can be the most toxic POS but i am always willing to get sacrificed for free by the killer if he played well or he was kinda noob. The issue is that killers are often toxic even when noone is playing toxic so as usual if you play like a jerk don't expect any kindness by your opponents
-
Or you know, you can use 1 perk called unbreakable, 99 it and get up stunning the killer when he's almost picking you up. But sure, a perk that needs another perk and being in swf to get the same result of a single perk that works even when solo is very solid and meta

I wouldn't say it's trash. If you run flip-flop with it and you are under a pallet you can't be picked up by the killer.
When? Maybe if you are in a swf, but if you are in a swf he can't pick you up regardless of power struggle, so you'd be wasting 2 perk's slots for something you can have for free
-
-
Trash perk, how many people using it did you see? And on top of that how many players did ever get any value out of it?
I've seen value out of it 3 times and not even from my own games but streamers etc.
Everyone was freaking out and saying "imagine swf using it with flip flop yada yada" yet its rarer than zanshin tactics
-
How was mori nerf a shadow nerf when devs said more than 2 months prior that they would nerf them?
-
Boring killer, she's not weak but her power is just boring. They should rework her keeping her to the same strenght level.
-
The issue is always the fact that people use the strongest build everywhere, pretty sure a well known fog whisperer would use undying and ruin when playing survivor too.
You used ruin+undying on clown, trapper, wraith or legion but a ton of players used that build on nurse, spirit and freddy where it's exponentially way more oppressive and unbalanced.
Survivors are 4, there's a bigger chance of having different perks between 16, so in the end ds and ub will be way than people think, killers are 1 and they stick to the meta so in the end there will be a lot of players using that build
-
And adding 0.4 seconds of cd its not what i call the end of lose-lose situations.

Phead and Deathslinger both have counterplay, and phead got changed so it's no longer a lose-lose. Also since we're doing whataboutism, what about god pallets? Survivors are untouchable at these pallets against almost all killers
It's not whataboutism if you mention a specific situation that is not guaranteed at any point of the game. You mentioned "what if a survivor dh to a jungle gym" if i wanted the whataboutism i would ask "what if a spirit gets hawkins" which i didn't.
The maps changed A LOT dead hard got bugged on june 2019 complaining about a perk that is not even that strong anymore just because you could potentially use it in a specific situation is not the right way to balance the game. Otherwise you should nerf every single stealth killer because what if you get indoor maps and so on.
-
Killers can move double the speed of survivors almost every time they desire but god forbid survivors moving moving at 150% speed for 1 second once every 40 secs
-
Press a button to add distance:
Hillbilly press m2 for 2 seconds to move at 230% ms indefinitely
Nurse: press 2 times m2 to blink for 20 and 12 m at 333% ms
Spirit: hold m2 to move for 5 seconds at 176% ms
And i stop here because people should know already

You can't do anything about people who use it for distance. Imagine a survivor about to go down but there's a jungle gym right in front of him, he uses deadhard and now it's a 30 second chase
There's not always a jungle gym available from any point of a map. The narrative that there's always a pallet or a jungle gym reachable from any point of the map was fine in 2018, the game changed, A LOT, you can get outpositioned multiple times in a game and that's not even survivor's fault.
20210105185033_1.jpgThere are tons of dead zones like this and dead hard there is the most useless perk you could ever use

No, making players think you're doing one thing but do something else is outplaying
Yeah those are mindgames but all the new powers don't require mindgames, ds, ph just force survivors in a lose-lose situation. If you vault or drop you get hit by the killer's power, if you don't you get hit by m1. So i'd like to know why a perk that requires the right timing and even when the timing is correct doesn't guarantee any value should be nerfed while those cheap powers plays are ok.
-
What if instead of 60 seconds it was 120. I would like a perk like that, i suggest its name to be decisive corruption or corrupt intervention idk
-
So using dead hard is outperking, spamming m2 to zone out survivors is outplaying.
Totally not biased players and where to find them
-
They could give us the most accurate and explained datas they can come up with and people would still complain. They want to balance the game to make it fun for the majority. 2k and 2e balance idea is not random, it's literally nash's equilibrium where you get the majority of players satisfied and happy. 3 players will be satisfied and 2 won't, balancing in any other way would make the majority unhappy. This is an asymmetrical game with 5 players there's no pareto's optimality.
This is a videogame, it's not a job. I get that some players, especially one streamer are so immersed in this game that they want it to be their frustration relief tool where they can overpower the opponent to feel that sensation of superiority but there's no need to say that if they feel that need dbd will never solve their psychological issues.
The fun police mentality is pretty childish and lame in a party videogame.

Would you be so kind as to explain how this game is killer sided?
The killrate on the latest stats was 68%, not everyone plays swf and if you play solo you know that you're not gonna win most of the times unless you are satisfied by "getting a pip". For every 0k two other killers are 4king
-
Because the datas would actually show that the game is way more killer sided than people pretend.
If they keep releasing nerf after nerf there's a reason behind it. The avg forum user doesn't have a tool to analyze such datas and giving him those raw stats would just make this community that is already whiny even worse.
-
Even overcharge is better than surge, i don't know why people even use it when the clutch moments where it could be usefull still requires you to use pgtw too. 8% is like what 7 seconds of regression and still 2% less than a normal missed skillcheck. Its good only if you get a small map with a 3 gen but at that point its not worth it.

You could never really get away from him if this was the case, or at least newer players would have a really hard time against him.
Why? He would get slowed down and he has to uncloack before hitting you.
Even at shack he wouldn't be able to do anything because survivors can vault infinitely if he's cloacked, the only thing he could do would be blocking the pallet but than again survivors could just vault. He could block the window but he would still be slowed because he traversed a wall.
They could find a way to make him more ghost like without giving us a spirit 2.0 for easy wins.
All its fine untill he has to uncloack.
-
There's nothing good in the new animations other than the idle one.
-
And what would be the net gain? Bragging about not being able to use a 4th perk?
-
He should be able to traverse walls but with a downside like getting slowed every time he does so. Also for obvious reasons he shouldn't be able to uncloack near walls.

Yeah that's what I mean. I thought sarcasm was pretty obvious on that sentence. Apparently it wasn't.
It might be sarcasm but they really think that they can afford to do other stuff in their free time

Or they had too much time on their hands and decided they should do same changes that no one ever asked for.
I mean i'm pretty sure there's a long list of issues they should look into if they're bored and have some free time
-
200k is not a big payout at all, i don't get why devs are so greedy with bloodpoints which don't steal them any income.
They gave us free iri shards and even skins that cost them work and steal them from future incomes but they are so reluctant to give us a nice amount of bloodpoints that wouldn't make them loose 1 single dollar.
It's 2021 the bloodpoint cap is something coming from old ages of dbd where it took a long time to reach the cap. Even if they gave us 1 million bloodpoints for each rank reset it wouldn't hurt them in the slightest way and it would make their customers happy.
-
You can ask people to adapt to new balance status or new mechanics, you cannot ask people to adapt to something that hurt their eyes

Survivor turnspeed isn't affected by the new animations according to the devs.
They can say whatever they want but if i play the ptb (which i did) and turnspeed is affected their statement is false. You get a stagger every time you turn, moving as survivor feels horrible and i don't think i would be able to play this game as much as i used to because everything feels so uncomfortable.
Looking at the hud gives me motion sickness and it never happened to me so i doubt i will ever get used to it.
I really don't get the reason of changing stuff which noone ever asked for.
I stopped playing billy after his rework not much for all of his addons nerfs and oh mechanic but because of his new animations. I have spent almost 5k hrs in this game and i can say my investment already paid off so if they'll leave the new survivor's animations like this i won't even think twice about quitting.
And i am not that kind of crybaby that would quit because they stole my toys or i cant win easily anymore but because playing in the ptb feels VERY uncomfortable. The only good thing is the idle animation of survivors, that's something they should keep
-
They needed to nerf survivors but they couldn't nerf loops anymore so they invented the new locomotion
-
Don't worry if they keep the ptb locomotion killers will have their 90% killrate again.
-
New to the game or just trying to flame?
-
Ds protection should work when the survivor is in a vulnerable position. We saw very clearly what happens with a shorter ds stun time.
If you're working on a gen, healed up or saving someone from the hook you're not in a vulnerable position and ds protection should be disabled.
