Kewl I've play 1200 hours on console and I have not seen any nor do I want to. I will be opting out. Sorry it bothers you?

You played 1200hrs & never faced a hacker on a platform, that doesnt have any hackers except those who hacked on PC to play on console?

    pikachu.jpg

People brought their experience up to tell you, that these hackers are a pretty rare occurence. Right now the bigger issue are VPN users, which can also be done on consoles as well. But with the new hit validation, this wont be a thing anymore.

You could also check it for yourself before opting out, but I guess as a console player you know that there are multiple hackers in every pc lobby. /s

No one attacked you as a person, but if you post your opinion you also have to expect people to disagree with you.

I'd need to know how the feature would actually work to have an opinion. The concept is good, but implementation is everything.

Blocking generators for a certain amount of time seems like the most likely way to implement it. It's already in the game and therefore requires minimal effort.

    @TheLastGreatStar said:

Corrupt Intervention shouldn’t have been a perk, it should have just been implemented into the game. It’s not overpowered as gens can and will still get done. It just gives the killer more time to set up certain scenarios as there’s less gens for the survivors to fix.

What if they change corrupt to smth different? They could make corrupt base kit and change it in some way like extended time, instead of 3 gens blocked its 4, etc. Depending on how it works ofc (we dont know yet).

    @StutteringSpartan said:

It couldn’t be anything gen blocking related, survivors would just wait out the timer.

Same as anything slow down related, again just encourages the survivors to wait it out.

An idea would be that survivors have to escape some form of building the killer/entity imprisoned them in. It’d work in with the theme of the game opposed to four survivors via telekinesis magically appear on the map....

To prevent the killer camping the building exit, you would perhaps implement multiple exits with a exclusion zone so traps etc can’t be placed straight in front of the exits

I'd rather work slower on a gen than doing nothing for the first minutes of the game. I'd probably look for a totem first (I'm using inner strenght most of the time) or search a chest.

    @coppersly said:

Game desperately needs it. Tired of not playing perfectly and watching a SWF get all gens done in less time than it took to find the lobby. What was fun about holding m1 for 3 minutes then bming as you leave? I don't get it.

I hope they make the early game actually fun instead of "oh god I hope I find and down someone within 30 seconds or I pretty much lose!"

There are games where I literally find someone in 10 seconds and down them in about 20 and I will still have 3 gens pop in a minute. It's insanely stupid.

Thats true. Some games 3 gens just fly by, meanwhile it takes 5-10+ minutes to finish the remaining 2.

Thank you all for your input, I appreciate it :)

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

If I remember correctly they did not even talk about Slowdown, just something which will ensure that the start of the game is fun.

It depends what it exactly is, to give an opinion.

The slow down part was just my input, the "original input" from the dev stream is stated above: They'll look into a mechanic similar to the Endgame Collapse, but focused on the early game.

Just wanted to add my own input rather than just pointing out the new feature. I'll edit my post accordingly in a bit, to make this more obvious.

//Edit: my title was misleading as well. Thanks for your input.

    @Mooks said:

Yeah hopefully when that timer ends, every survivor not on hook or in a chase will instantly get scarified like in EGC. Maybe then this game will finally be balanced!

    (sorry I had to..)

seriously though: there is not much we can base our speculation on. I just hope this one will also take killer-sided early games into account. EGC was pretty much only survivor-nerf (partly really needed), but yeah. Early game snowball should also be looked into. Even if only potato survivors are affected, they are the biggest part of the player base and if they are such potatoes, surely the killer will win anyways.

we can be sure that early genrush will be the main point of this though! (Which is totally fine)

Any speculation is fine imo. Just wanted to know whats the general opinion on that change and maybe get some fresh input on how people would implement such feature. Just curious about the community opinion about it.

VPN is used by banned hackers to change their IP so probably banned users with new accounts

they dont ban by IP. It changes (at least in my country) every 24hrs, some people get 1 IP / month. They ban the HWID of your pc components.

Also: using a VPN itself is fine, if its done within your own country. Using a VPN to play against people around the world with a high ping is not okay.

  • yes, but every time I see the randoms just wasting pallets / camping pallets, smth dies inside of me.

Played duo swf yesterday and after like 3 gens all pallets were gone. Killer was probably like: thats free real estate right here.

    Fix matchmaking / mmr system

You are correct once again. It is the thermal paste's problem. Thanks for your help, but im still going to sell the laptop after getting a fatal error randomly while gaming. Would rather sell it than spend extra on a degrading computer, you know.

Your model aint that old, so repasting should fall under warranty (no cost for you). If you already bought it for a higher price, you loose a lot of money selling it "broken".

Internet says that ur model was released 15 months ago: https://www.laptoparena.net/acer/notebook-acer-predator-ph315-51-79la-nh.q3fem.002-black-13369 , so it should be covered even without a reciept.

Just give it a try / call acer, before taking the L :)

  • You mean its just stuck at "initialization complete" or do you get the error that the initialization cant be completed?

    1. Launch Dead by Daylight and tab out of it. Make sure it is running in the background
    2. Navigate to your Steam Library. Right-click on "Dead by Daylight" and click "Properties"
    3. Click the "Updates" tab and un-check "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Dead by Daylight" and click "OK"
    4. Close Dead by Daylight running in the background
    5. Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(Your Unique ID)\381210" (or similar in your installation directory for Steam
    6. Delete the contents of the folder you're in, which should be a file called "remotecache" and a folder called "remote"
    7. Navigate to your Steam Library. Right-click on "Dead by Daylight" and click "Properties"
    8. Click the "Updates" tab and check "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Dead by Daylight" and click "OK"
    9. Exit Steam (this can be done by opening the Steam client, clicking "Steam" from the top-left corner and selecting "Exit" from the drop-down menu)
    10. Start Steam and launch Dead by Daylight. The initialization error should be fixed.

Oh you were right. It is 6052 vram.

My laptop is the predator helios ph315-51. It's because of overheating issues. For example. Playing hitman 2 on 60 fps on medium-low 1920x1080. Then the game Stutters, drops to 40 fps, comes back to 60, then after a while it gives up and going lowest res and graphics possible doesnt change fps back to something stable and playable. I have tried 30 fps lock, but it's the same thing.

    CPU is i7-8750H @ 2.2 ghz (12 CPUs).

Did you check your idle and gaming temps? If its already pretty high while in idle, its probably an issue with the thermal paste.

You can undervolt your system with this premade config for your CPU:

    http: ThrottleStop Pre-Configured Setups

But if undervolting does not help, you should send/bring it to acer and let them redo the thermal paste.

I'm talking about devotion level and iridescent shards not auric cells paid DLC which i got most of on both ps4 and steam

not like i asking for money back lol

Well maybe you should be more specific in your post? You said nothing about devotion/shards, just asking for cross progression. Also I never said you want your money back?! smh

  • @NekoGamerX said:

hope so can we also get cross progression with crossplay?

honestly: I dont think so. It will be crossplay but not crossprogression.

Why? MS/Sony/Nintendo take a big cut from all the ingame (& base game) purchases. Steam does as well, but not as big as the other platforms.

DbD on Steam: 19,99€ , DbD on Xbox: 29,99€, DbD on Ps4: 34,99€, DbD on Switch: 39,99€

Similar for auric cells, people would buy it on steam and play on console. I just dont think that they (Ms/Sony/Nintendo) want to make less money for doing nothing else than collecting the money for BHVR.

  • hyped for crossplay and hit validation. Two things I've been looking forward for a long time.

  • hackers already did it, so its 100% possible. Imo they're going to release crossplatform, but no one knows when.

  • Hey,

why do you want to underclock your cpu? Overheating issues? Can you provide details to your motherboard and cpu? Or maybe the exact model to look up (if thats not a custom configured laptop).

There is no 4GB variant of the 1060 afaik, just 3GB and 6GB. Just because it shows 4GB, doesnt mean that its just using 4GB. Sometimes its a display issue, open dxdiag and check "Display 1" ( Win+R -> dxdiag ).

Does this always show up on the endgame screen? Like would you be able to see that the killer had Bond equipped?

I think that they can only do it for their last perk, but dunno. I'm just reading this stuff in a forum to keep up with what these hackers can do currently.

  • @Rydog said:

Yeah, this is most definitely not normal.

What would this even do? Does it stack and make them move at like 400% speed when crouching or something?

yes they stack up. Saw a clip of a survivor urbaning faster than anyone could possibly sprint.

There are also killer hackers who equipped bond/empathy. Currently its really getting out of control tbh, the amount of bugs AND the hackers :(

Makes sense you if play with 3 teammates. I play solo... you are saying things that don´t happen in a normal solo game.

please elaborate on what doesnt happen in a game in your opinion. I wrote a post talking about sabo, uniqie pathing, camping, using kindred and banning people.

  • I'd love to see the footage, bc I havent met a cheater (like actual cheater, not legacy hacks or lag switch) in a long time. But as @Fibijean mentioned, you need to censor the names to post it here.

Always remember to make an ingame report & send it to the devs. If someone is hacking, just go afk. It aint fun for them to hold m1 bc they cant interact with the killer, they want to mess with you. Dont feed these trolls :)

    in Cheaters Comment by Fiv55
  • I like the new sabo, even did it with random team mates. Also 500bps/sabo is pretty neat :)

You can bamboozle good killers as well, with unique pathing (and IW if you're injured). It even worked on otz (playing clown own azarovs) and he's probably one of the best/top killers you can verse.

Killers aint OP. Camping is a strategy. Might not be the most fun/interactive strat, but just do gens? Use kindred, its (imo) one of the best solo perks that you can run to optimize teamplay without coms.

Start to ban people who leave? You mean like the current DC penalty? Yep its annoying to get 5min timeout if the killer dc's, but obviously thats not intentional.

Just a warning, if you have Pop active and then Surge activates you lose Pop. Seems to be a potential bug, I wouldn't go using them together for now.

As for why survivors get weird, probably because Surge isn't use a lot and it takes a moment to realize what happened. If you are on the gen it acts like an instant failed skill check so people may look around or something to make sure they aren't lagging, because invisible/auto-fail skill checks usually only happen when you lag. It also makes the gen sparks red which is the same as Pop so if they weren't on the gen they might think you have Pop when it was actually Surge.

    Patch 3.7.0 (PTB) - 7 April 2020 // Patch 3.7.0 - 28 April 2020

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue that caused the perk Pop Goes the Weasel to go on cooldown if a generator regresses due to the perk Surge activating.

Can confirm that they fixed that :)

  • use a mapping app like shootingplus v3, but you'll have to map each action.

Note: if you own an iPhone/iPad, non mfi controllers only work until iOS 13.4.

    • Borrowed Time
    • SWF
    • D-Strike
    • Haddonfield
    • Teabagging
    • Hatch

Feel free to correct me if there is something missing!

But here is the most important part:

Killers will not change a strategy, as long as it works. So stop rewarding facecampers by getting overaltruistic. Do gens and leave.

u forgot about keys man, thats like one of the most discussed/hated thing :D

I thought this is another killer cry thread, you got me on the first half ngl. Just do gens while he facecamps and/or run kindred as solo player. Kindred is seriously the best solo perk you can run, gives you instant info if he camps and what the other team mates are doing.

I think DbD is currently at the most balanced state for solo / max duo swf group against a killer.

Please watch this video to realize what survivors had back then, basicly immortality with REAL infinites, endless pallets, slow killer animations, blinding killers while they hook, insta gens, insta heals etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1fkX3H84SE

  • Whats the issue?

Yep they stopped replying to my ticket back then as well and it got fixed with a patch later (my game crashed saying "not enough video memory", I'm using a 8GB gc)

  • @TheRockstarKnight said:

That looks like servers to me. The Freddy seemed confused as to where you were.

thats not dedicated servers. They probably worked fine, but bc the freddy lags, davids position wont be updated on his screen. So for freddy the david might just run in a straight line right into that corner, even tho he (david) already turned around. Hit detection is on the killer side, so it might look "normal" for freddy but not for the david.

They adressed this issue on their last Q&A and are going to implement a server sided hit confrmation. Like it should have been from the very start of dedicated servers OR let the servers be the host of everything happening ingame (which consumes way more server power = cost more money).

  • Imo its intended. Back in the very old days, you could grab healthy survivors from windows (along with the old animation, grabbing at one leg and pulling them out).

Not saying it should be a thing (or not), but its probably intended.

    //edit

https://youtu.be/MJbZtEVzP1M?t=424 <- grab from the alpha gameplay

  • You can get reported for everything, but it doesnt mean that they'll punish/ban you for this.

As long as hit detection is killer sided, killers are going to have an advantage to the extend of actual "cheating". In your case I'd say that its not intentional and therefor wont be punished. If you go around, spot a survivor, switch to the bad network and use it to gain an advantage, thats a different story.

  • low skill floor & ceiling

for me it feels a bit like "auto play" with his snares. I dont need to mindgame to get a hit/down around loops, just make sure that the survivor is in dream world and spam snares. Good freddys dont even bother chasing you if you're awake and they cant get the first hit in a short amount of time. Ofc you have to kow the basics of the game & map awareness etc. but there is nothing really to learn about his power.

It just feels like you have to learn other killers in order to master them, while freddy is just there and everyone falls asleep passively. Good nurses need to predict their blink, same with spirit (phase), billy curves / knowing when to go for chainsaw, huntress/gs aiming / map tiles & gaps to shoot through, oni flick / charging around loops correctly etc.

A lot of survivors just dislike killers that they have to adapt to. You cant just run around a loop a few times but actually have to think how to avoid the snares with alternative pathing or drop the pallet early & run to the next one.

  • @konchok said:

Give her back her old Windows Vault, Buff the passive phasing add-ons and fix the bug where survivors can hear her whooshing noise while in her terror radius. If you do all that, I wouldn't have an issue with losing her scratch marks. Otherwise, I think that spirit's in a good place right now.

    meme first half.jpg

she's fine now. Removed collision and a window vault animation, thats all we needed.

Nurse is almost top tier if not top tier (I dont play her). Her skill floor is pretty high but also her skill ceiling, unlike freddy for example. Low skill floor and low skill ceiling, thats also one of reasons people dislike playing against him.

I get messaged more as killer than survivor. It's 50/50 as killer whether I get good message or not. As survivor if I get messaged it's usually complaining about something whether it's gen rushing or second chance perks.

I don't like blocking people because I find it funny seeing their replies lol since I know I'm not toxic or don't cheat I love seeing the silly excuses they come up with to hate on me. When I play killer I actually text the team some of the time to talk about the game, not toxic but just discussing the game a bit.

Similar to you I won't be toxic unless pushed to it I.e. hard tunnelling or face camping.

    thx appreciate the effort :)

Cool story, except that it was seeing the Killer STEAM PROFILE that was causing Survivors to dodge, not their name. Survivors were going through the Killer's achievements to determine what killer they might be playing.

    Nice try though.

Well, just make your profile private? Same goes for survivors: killer dodges if he sees a survivor with a lot of hours. Not because he knows him, but bc he might give him the business during the game. Also this worked on killers who just play that one killer / only unlocked achievements for that one (or maybe a few) killer(s).

Not saying this should be a thing, but I'm in for blocking the surv names / not checking their profiles before the game. For both. Checking profiles should not be necessary, if they would actually fix matchmaking / introduce a proper mmr. But we know how much BHVR loves bandaid patches/mechanics.

On console you can still tell. If you've messaged or been messaged by that person then it'll show their new name on your old messages.

I would say 1 in every 3 games I get a survivor or killer I remember from another game. Whether it be for good reasons or bad reasons I remember their name. I'm shocked when my mates see a survivor or killer and can tell me the exact build they usually run lol

Thanks for clearing this up :) as said: I'm not on console so excuse my curiosity here: do ALL people flame you or is there an occasional "GG" as well? Bc I'd feel bad if someone actually was nice and I make sure they're having a bad game just bc we messaged once. Seems like it would be easier to just put the "bad apples" on your ignore list (also they cant message you anymore, which is a plus).

Not saying that you do this or that I do this, but there was a time (especially one night) against a legion main who first dc'd against me (on hawkins, hit the vault while in frenzy) and afterwards made sure to bring a mori each time we're matched against each other. I cant add him on steam but my friend can, so I guessed that he ignored me. Just wanted to know why he was so mad, I dont run DS usually or Tbag (well I tbag, but just for the facecampers or tunneling killers :) )

  • nothing what you said is an issue with dedicated servers itself, but how the devs decided to code the game/sync process.

They decided to make hit detection killer sided, so that the server does not have to render the whole game but be more like a "moderator" of the game. If the hit connected on the killers screen, than this will be synched up with the server. Does not matter if you were right in front of him or already across the map. You can already guess whats the issue here: if the killer or surv lags, your position wont be refreshed on his end -> unfair hits. This also happens if one of the two parties plays with a high latency.

Grabs are not included for the hit detection, and therefor its basicly the other way round. Server checks the surv: hey do you still sit there and work on the gen or ran away? Ok you ran? Lets sync that up -> no grab. Killer sees a grab animation and it immeadiately gets canceled (or paired with a bug / lag, you might get stuck in that animation for some time).

They said that they're going to work on a server sided hit confirmation. So the killer hits you and then the server decides if that hit was legit. This ensures that if the killer lags (intentional or not) that the hit wont count. If you lag (therefor your position wont be refreshed), then its on you.

  • You do realize that dc'ing against face campers hurts you team, right? Just stay on the hook for 2 minutes and wait it out. Thats the best strat to punish all facecampers for their playstyle.

Slugging and Facecamping is not against the rules and surv have perks to counter slugging. Unbreakable lets you get up once and you recover faster for the whole match, combined with flip flop and it will be harder to hook you. At the end its on your team mates to know when its safe to pick you up. He cant patrol the slug and gens at the same time, except if you 3gen yourself (which is the surv fault not killer).

I do admit that these strategies might not be the most fun for survivors, but its part of the game.

But as long as there are that many bugs in the game, there should not be a dc penalty. Why do I have to be punished for being bugged on the hook? Endgame didnt even kill me. Why did I get punished when the killer disconnected? Why did I get punished bc the ded server crashed or lags so bad that its unplayable?

"we disconnect because we either lose internet" <- thats on you man. BHVR can't distinguish if you legit had a disconnect or just pulled your plug. They're not responsible for you connection, thats smth that you should work out by yourself (own network/bad wifi etc) or your ISP.

Also: sorry for you loss. Just dont project your mood/personal feelings on a game, they're supposed to be fun and entertaining, not bringing you down. If you dont feel good rn and dbd brings you even more down: "play smth else, like CIV" (Mathieu Cote, 2018)

Well the name one is probably a pc thing. On console people can't change their name as easily.

Some put them on a list, some just have a good memory. You see the same killers at red ranks the whole time and after a while you begin to remember names. It is unhealthy to remember names and to target them but there is a lot of people who do that lol

You'd think they'd forget but depending on the game they won't. I've had people text me after not facing them for over a year, all because I made them dc once.

People can be quite petty with stuff on this game. I'm not worried about getting the same person twice in a row. Generally the people who have "targets" play this game and killer a lot. So you'll likely get them again eventually. Also they don't dodge, they just bring ebonys and really strong add-ons. They probably also tunnel and face camp.

    @MrCookie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1291266#Comment_1291266

Some SWF have matching names (clan tags or something showing their connection). If I see someone with a toxic name like "All Americans are #########" or something like that you can bet I am gonna tunnel that guy.

And who are these mates? I have never heard of killers being in teams, that just sounds dumb. And remembering names and putting them on a "list" sounds like a waste of time and just not healthy.

Und unless the killer keeps a list or you did something special to get killer's attention, he is going to forget you 1 minute after the match. I am sure no red rank killer ever would dodge a survivor just because "he played well". And if you are afraid of bumping into the same killer. then that means that either the game ended for both of you at the same time and you start searching for the game at the same time or you are just paranoid. If it's the former then you could just start searching after 1 minute wait I guess. I don't know about PS queues but on PC chances that I meet the same survivors within a day are exteremely small.

its easy to create a "list": just put them on ignore and check their profiles while being in a lobby. See someone that you ignored? Lets drop that ebony & make sure they're going to have a bad game.

You can change the username but as long as you're not using a different steam account, he/she "knows" who you are.

Probably works on ps4/xbone as well, not a console player tho (so cannot confirm).

  • @LALYTHIA said:

On the contrary, I'd just like to be able to see the killer's name (I'm pc), so that I can avoid toxic ass ppl instead of get them again and have another ######### match.

true, but some people would abuse this to their advantage. Oh this is Player XYZ, he got 4k hours at a certain killer and is hard to play against. Lets dodge to get an easier match.

Imagine spending a lot of hours and being known for your skill, but matchmaking takes 30mins bc survivor dodge you all the time. It's like (not 100%) the reverse scenario of being tunneled bc the killer knows you.

But I agree that they should not get the info of your name/profile before the game even starts.

I'd also appreciate if we can get a similar "start screen" (before the loading screen) just like mobile (ofc perks and item addons are blacked out for killers):

    dbd mobile.jpg

Uhm my stats started counting since day one. They are accurate because the website is pulling them out directly from the steam achievements.

And with day 1 I mean July 2016.

    This excuse is a lie

I was talking about certain stats, that are not included. It counts the amount of times you played with a full loadout (4perks, 1 item, 2 addons + offering), but not without a full loadout (just one example). They would add stats that are currently not counted, so they have to either mix them together (old stats + stats starting at 0 bc they werent included until now) or let everyone start at 0 in each category.

I know that this excuse is bs, thats why I thought its worth mentioning.

Playing since sep 2016, but I wouldnt mind to start all over for the benefit of a stat tracker.

Nice, enjoy your stats :) still sad that the devs can't do that by themselves lol

they even adressed this in their recent Q&A. Reason why they would not implement this? Bc people already played a lot and would be frustrated to start at 0.

It's not like they could use the data thats currently there and add some more stats that start at 0 for everyone. I dont get that argument, bc currently there are no (official) stats. How does it really matter if a lot of people already played for a long time, everyone is going to start at the same time or they can just ignore these stats and say "yeah I started 4 years ago / 15k hrs, so these numbers dont mean anything".

  • got to 50%, got myself another coffee, tried to continue and started all over again (time out)

Well, guess I'll have to do this again :D

Good luck on your studies! I'm interested in ur results, are you going to post them here as well?

  • that would be OP, bc I couldnt stop dancing around. How am I supposed to dance and play the game at the same time? :D

remember the pallet spawns? When it's different every time? And even then you don't know when other survivors have dropped pallets for him to replace? Also, you can't exactly wake yourself up midchase. Don't let him hit you? Jeez, how did no one think of that? That's something we can apply to literally EVERY KILLER.

How does "try to keep you awake most of the time" translates to "wake urself up midchase" ? Nice twisting bro.

There are a lot of pallets that spawn the same way all the time. Jungle Gyms, Shack, "C&L" (not sure if there is a term for these) sometimes map specific pallets that cannot be faked unless they've already been used. If you wake urself up all the time, you can remember used pallets and remember the pallets that spawn at a random location. Ofc its not guaranteed that these will still be there later, but this will increase your chances of surviving by a lot.

"Dont let him hit you? Jeez, how did no one think of that" again, nice twisting m8. I said "dont let him hit you right away" meaning that a lot of players just wait at their gen or an unsafe spot until the killer is already to close. If you get his heartbeat while working on a gen (being awake) you got ~6s to get to a pallet for safety. But most survivors greed to much and get punished for it, which is a misplay on the survivor side.

As freddy you dont chase survivors that are awake, its a waste of time.

I didn't say camping wasn't allowed. I said the exact opposite of that...

*It is listed under things to be reported for some reason but the dev has specifically stated that it is not reportable*

As in, camping is something you can report but nothing is going to happen because it's not a reportable offense. I could report a killer for hitting me but it's not going to do anything because hitting the survivors is not bannable. Same with camping.

sorry my bad, didnt see that. I had a lot of people quoting me on that exact list the other day, telling me camping is bannable bc its stated there. Like dafuq.

  • Freddy is strong yes, but only if you're asleep. I'd increase the passive sleep timer and thats it.

Fake pallet freddy isnt even that strong compared to snare spam freddy. Just wake urself up, remember the pallet spawns and drop fake pallets once you've fell asleep (to help ur mates). Try to keep you awake most of the time, dont let him hit you right away and he'll be a regular m1 killer with a teleport.

So you can report it to your hearts content but the reports are just going to go right into the trash as invalid reports

    //edit: I misread your post, bc I am a dummy :p

the following are NOT considered bannable offenses - please do NOT report

    • Camping
    • [...]

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system

these are (!!!!) NOT (!!!!) bannable offenses. Camping is also not griefing, the devs said that its a legit strategy. Therefor it does comply with the Xbox CoC.

  • How to work around the "killer detection" while being in Q:

    • prepare your "main killer" setup with offerings/addons
    • Q up as a different killer that has a "counter perk" to his ability (I like using doc for that, calm spirit is not a meta perk)
    • switch killers last second to the one you wanted to play
    • look at their setup at the end of the match. 2-3 people with Calm Spirit? What a coincidence :)

If you see a SWF team and think they're doing it, use Freddy to bait and play a killer like ghostface. They'll equip at least one OoO which is going to hurt them so much during the game against stealth killers.

Not saying that this is 100% proof, but when do you see 2-3 calm spirits in a single match? It's just an indicator I know.

  • I love memeing bubbas :)

Last time I faced a basement defender (he even changed his steam name to "basement defender") with a friend of mine. 2 or 3 gens were done and we were curious if its another afk wraith waiting in the basement, just to see that cute insidious bubba standing right in front of the chest.

So our objective was clear: get that chest! He attacked every time we touched his chest and didnt hook us if he downed us. So we tried to open the chest again and again, until it finally opened. Meanwhile the other 2 randos just rushed the gens. We we're determined to take that medkit out of the basement (he had franklins), maybe even escape and take it as our price of victory. Well, the randos opened the gate and we died due to the EGC timer. But we got the medkit halfway up the basement stairs :D

tl;dr: Probably one of the best matches we had in a while was against a chest defender bubba. Sometimes its fun to mix things up, we didnt expect that at all.

I was all for it about a year ago, but now, hell no. With the fps, sensitivity issues, lighting problems and dozens of other issues, we would get Slaughtered. The only one who would even stand somewhat of a chance would be swf's. Killers would get crushed, and solo survs would get crushed because of how much better(PC) they can see, move, and react. A joystick doesn't have ######### on a mouse.

what if sony and ms release their new consoles? I think next gen would be good enough to run the game as smooth as pc.

    So PS5 / Xbox X crossplay with pc? :)

Also you can use keyboard and mouse on consoles (Cronusmax plus/Titan One)

  • my current solo build: kindred, BT, sprint bursto, we will make it

If my team mates are injured, I try to get the safe, remember my team mates position, heal the unhooked person and run to the next team mate for a fast heal. Trying to get the most out of we will make it. Can be replaced by botany knowledge as well, for perma 33% buff and increased medkit value (12 charges for a heal instead of 16 = green medkit can heal twice, with 16 + 8 charges a max of 4 heals).
