You did nothing wrong!
This game tends to bring the worst out in folks. Its always someone else's fault the match didn't go their way.
Its unfortunate people have this attitude. It best to say your gg wp and then move to next match!
Keep doing your best and have fun ♡♡♡
-
As killer I am kind of farming ^^ I will hook everyone twice if they let me but no one is getting sacrificed.
You get your crowns fam!
Stay mad Entity B3
(When I play survivor I would appreciate some farming killers as well ♡♡♡)
-
Yah, as long as pets were a cosmetic and didn't effect the game in anyway I would be okay with it.
Also would be nice to be able to toggle them off for players who wouldn't want to see a zoo running around ^^"
-
I mean, its not that hard to escape a few time during the event is it?
I think survivors have to escape because then we would see people jump on a character, get crown, dc, rinse and repeat for all survivors they have.
As for killers there is no requirement because then people would just be mad at killers be try hard to get 4k.
So the devs have designed it this way to make matches still payable during the event... yet you are still upset?
How would you design it so matches are not ruined by people just out for the crown?
-
I always set my tempo to how the survivors play.
Sweaty bully squad = No mercy
Normal survivors = chill
I noticed a new player or there is a dc = I pretend to be a baby killer
You don't always have to be nice, but it should always be the first thing you try.
-
I think they should bring the healing debuff back, especially now with all the healing perks we have (plus kits).

Holiday themed are nice, because they're like a breath of fresh air, though I like fancy/formal more. I want more top hats, cloaks, fancy dresses and shiny shoes. I wish we could get a cosmetic set based upon Victorian Ball Gowns and suits.
Yesssssss!!! Victorian Ball style would be amazing!!!!!
-
I only got to play it twice before it was shut down. I really like how it looks but it really is difficult to navigate. Lots of tight corridors and also small rooms.
-
Yes there is a lot of complaining and yes some people are very hard on the devs.
A lot of the complaints are valid tho, especially regarding bugs and optimization.
People care deeply for this game and want it to be:
1. Functioning (especially when they buy a brand new dlc)
2. Successful
I have been apart of many forums and DBD community is one of the most passionate I have seen. Yes there are a lot mean comments thrown around and those are unacceptable, but there are ton of really good critiques and suggestions from the community as well.
I am sure the bugs and such are just as frustrating for the devs as it is for us. We just don't see it.
I really wish they would host monthly community chats/ q&a. There use to be a lot of those but they have decreased recently :<
-
I love it!
I use it on Trapper and people don't expect it ^^
-
DBD has great diversity!
There are characters from all walks of life. Young, old, male, female, race, different jobs, etc. I look forward to lgbtq characters being added ^^
If I could pick I would like to see more older characters, specifically women. We have Bill and Ash and thats great, but where are the old ladies at?

Trapper. I don't play him often, but good lord is there something uniquely satisfying towards watching a survivor run right towards the wrong vault point and... snick.
Hahaha that is why Trapper is my go to killer. That sweet satisfying feel of a well placed trap that has been sprung. Music to my ears.

I love hag to death I just don't find playing her very challenging so she's left on the back burner a lot of the time.
I played nothing but Hag when I first started ^^ I love her mori, her ability, she is just a cool character. She is on my back burner now too but I still player from time to time. You are right that she is one of the more easy killers. I kind of hope she gets a rework soon ^^
-
I don't mind at all. Everyone just goofing and trying to have fun/ get bp.
If you take this game too seriously you will get grey hairs ^^"

If they decide to keep perk tiers, it would be a nice incentive to prestige if each time you did some of the tiers were removed.
Non - prestige blooweb: same as now
P1 bloodweb: all free pool perks start at tier 2 + that character's teachable perks at tier 3
P2 bloodweb: same as P1 but freepool perks start at tier 3, other teachables start at tier 2
P3 bloodweb: all perks start at tier 3
Edited to fix an autocorrect
This is a great idea! I would be more inclined to prestige with that :)
I prestiged once when I was new... never ever again until the grind is softened.

Trickster. Used to hate him but he's slowly gaining my passion.
I need to give him more of a chance... I have only played three or four times.
I love the Trickster as a character but I am really bad at getting his blades to land and the one time I used showstopper I had no idea what was happening XD I didn't realize it was a timed thing to trigger so I panic and blades were going everywhere except into survivors.

@Inferno427 said:
Doctor. Put on both iris and just go around zapping people for the heck of it.
That is what I do for those 'make survivors scream 50 times' challenges hahaha.
-
Both you and @dontpanic503 have great ideas! At this point anything to lessen the grind should be at the top of the devs qol updates.
I really like the token idea and being able to pick the perks you want instead of grinding and praying for rng not to do you dirty.
Also getting rid of tiers!!! That would be the big one ^^
My personal idea to help grind is:
1. If tiers are to be kept... when you buy a character you get their perks at level 3 right away and you don't have to grind for them in the web.
2. Kind of like your idea @ChurchofPig but instead of going to the shop for teachable perks they should just become automatic in other survivor's blood webs. I see from a story perspective where the devs were coming from by making a character 'teach' another character a perk but right now its too much grind. Idk why we should have to level a new character to 40... only have to go back to our fav characters and grind those perks out. Its exhausting and time consuming ;__; I just wanna play with the shinny new perks on my Claudette.
3. If the Devs updated the Shrine to host 1 survivor and 1 killer each week I think that would help a lot. That way there are 6 perks each week. They could even put those character on sale and spotlight them to get people to buy them.

Twins, Hag and Trapper. It's the only killers I do play nowdays, but since I almost only play survivor it is rare seeing me play them 😀
We need another new trapping killer plus the Triplets!
Trap killers are best killer imo. Something satisfying about playing Trapper, Hagatha, and Piggy ^^
I have started playing Twins and really enjoy them! They are a staple in my rotation of killers.

Ghostface, I dunno why, but everytime I play him I seem to have fun with him.
I love GF!
I think he is the killer I goof off on most ^^" but dancing with survivors is a fun time.

@Emeal said:
I rotate between all Killers, they all have strengths and weaknesses.
I try my best to play all of them as well but I get discouraged with the ranged ones ^^" I really have to put time into them to find them fun.
Last night I said F it I will play huntress even tho I know I will flop. 3 games in and I was starting to get 2k ^^ Felt good and I was having fun.
Rotating sides/ killers keeps this game fresh.

Clown. :)
Another killer I forget about!
I find his bottles a little tricky because they are so light and I can't aim very well with them, but he is a fun guy to play! (Plus I love his elephant cosmetic ^^).
-
@lauraa Trapper is my go to killer ^^ Him or Scarred Hand Hag!
I really enjoy trap killers.
I mean... I don't usually try for basement Trapper... but sometimes it just happens. Someone gets caught in a trap near basement and next thing I know everyone is down there. Survivors make it too easy sometimes.

I think I have to go with my boy Wraith. So simple but with a variety of addons, speed, and element of stealth.
My all time favourite however... is PRE-overheat pre-roaring Billy. My heart still aches.
Yah I miss old Billy too. I hardly played him but as a survivor I loved going against him.
I do enjoy his chase music now tho!
-
As long as I am enjoying a game I will spend money on it. Its good to support the devs and tell them with your wallet you are happy and want more.
That being said I'm done dbd until the dc penalties are back... mini strike :P
-
It could be that a lot of us have been around for awhile and DBD has just gotten stale and more buggy overtime. Combined that with the fact that game just isn't as exciting after 500+ hours and yah... it is just not as fun.
I know bhvr needs to make money but they really should put more resources towards game health. I wouldn't mind if they skipped some chapters and just work on what they already have.
Fix the bugs, fix useless perks, fix grind, buff some weaker killers, rework outdated killers (looking at you dear Hag), etc.
We don't constantly need new stuff... as exciting as new is it really backfires when the game itself just isn't functioning (like with RE). The DC alone have made me take a break.
I will always love this game... but I'm having more fun with Pokemon Snap then DBD right now :P

Not going to lie
Having him randomly pop up in matches without anouncing it would be a pretty good way to tease him
I would love that so much!!!!
-
I would like to see more Trap killers or see killers with powers that build over time (like Nemesis).

I don't even mind getting hit by NOED when I play survivor. Sure, it kinda sucks, but I like the unease after the last gen pops and I'm not sure if I'm safe to take a hit.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I want to feel a bit of anxiety when I play survivor; yet, it's more relaxing than playing killer most of the time
I feel the same! I enjoy the unknown and anxiety of survivor. Noed and Devour add a little extra spice to the game that some people just do not appreciate.
-
I have seen a lot... most recently someone tried to head on me but i baited it and they missed. They DC'ed right there.
-
I would love a qol/ game health chapter!!!
- Fix the grind
- Fix bugs
- Buff perks no one uses
- Release awesome cosmetics (that we can mix and match with please!!!)
- Have a bloodhunt
That would be the best chapter ever ;3;
-
Gassing a gen with his slow down tonic starts regressing the gen. As long as the gas is around the gen the survivors are unable to work on it.
-
Thanks Devs!!!!
Small gestures like this go a long way ♡♡♡ Let the bloodpoint parties begin!!!!

On the one hand sure, on the other, bullying killers should be discouraged.
I play 50/50 and I am not out for bullying killers ;_; Im just a poor solo that loves Head On but can never use it effectively outside of a surprise locker stun.
I thought if maybe my team knew I had it then they could chase towards me or go down in front of my locker.
At the end of the day bully swf will be bullies, highlighted locker or not :<
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
Please no. It’s already a troll perk. Let’s not increase its strength to bully another player
When I play killer survivors usually miss because their timing is off. Never been bullied with it but I can see that happening at lower ranks maybe?

My favorite moments are still those precious snoot boops involving Pig whether I'm playing as or against her.
Entity bless pig mains. They are some of the most wholesome players DBD has!
Idk if im lucky or Pig mains are hella consistent, but I always boop snoot and they always let me live ♡♡♡
-
I love cross play!!!!
My only wish is that I could message my other consol/ pc peeps :< I met a lot of people before cross play (good and bad but lots more good) and now... no one ;_;
Its a lonely solo q life.
-
As a player?
Don't take asymmetrical games so seriously and be kind to one another.
Do play both roles so you experience everything the game has to offer.
A lot of people get trapped into playing one side and thinking the other is the enemy. We are all gamers trying to have fun ^^
-
That perk def needs a rework. I think having a perk specific for the basement is kind of silly. Its situational and survivors already have a hard time bouncing back from basement. Don't need to make it even harder for them
Making it do something involving hooking survivors or the hooks themselves is a good idea :)
Maybe turn the perk into something like 'every time you hook a new survivor gain a token, if you hook the same survivor loose a token. Kicking a generator consumes a token- kicked generator loses 10% of its progress and the entity block that generator for 30s'.
-
I miss bloodhunts... it really helps with the grind in this game but its been over a year since I have seen one. Where the heck are they?
I do wonder what bhvr's reason is for not holding them? Maybe there is a bug with them?
-
@WiiFitTrainer said:
The people who dc are also the people who try to die on first hook and then walk up to the killer if they get rescued before dieing.
The DC penalty doesn't force people to play a match they don't want to be in.
True but at least by dying on hook the killer got their hit/down/hook (which could be for a challenge they are working on). It still screws over the remaining 3 survivors which is still pretty bad but there is nothing you can do about afk/suicide.
There is something that can done for DC tho and that is the penalty.

@Laluzi said:
Every other game. Either survivors ragequit the first time they go down, or they ragequit right before they're about to die. Yesterday I had a David ragequit right before I was about to bring him to the gates and let him go for leading me on a merry chase. I just managed to get adept Nemesis a few minutes ago despite two survivors RQing on death hook, though they did rob me of iri Devout because of it.
Also had killers DC when running Lethal Pursuer, which I assume means they didn't like where survivors spawned.
This is exactly the stuff I am seeing!
I get there are bugs and such, but the DC influx isn't bugs... its people throwing tantrums and taking advantage of the DC penalty missing.
-
@sumps1 said:
I had a game against ghostface. Within the first minute I was the only survivor left. Just ruins the whole game
It really does :< When you have limited time to game and you have already wait in queue... having someone dc because they dont like the killer or they are first down is VERY frustrating.
-
@Annso_x said:
The reason the DC penalty is temporarily disabled is because ppl get randomly kicked out of games or have to DC bc it's unplayable, re-enabling it before fixing the bug would punish people suffering from the bug and wouldn't change the number of DCs by much (considering ppl who DC just to DC do it anyway when the penalty is active)
That is true... people dc no matter what but there has been an increase.
When the first player goes down and DC I don't believe its a bug. It is just people taking advantage and that is what I am seeing almost every match. It is making the games unfun and also getting challenges done slower.

All of us are in the same boat. I'm between a rock and a hard place. I've been grinding and completing the Rift for some friends who are deployed so only just NOW starting on mine. Normally I wouldn't play at all until the penalty is back but if I do that, I might not complete it. I want those new duds for Bill and I like the Blood Moon. So I'm stuck playing in these matches that don't complete or I can't actually do the Rift because half of them bail.
You are really good friend :) That made me happy to read!
I bought the rift pass too because I love the trapper skin... but yah, these DC are making it very difficult to enjoy the game and get some challenges done. I don't have all day to game, only a couple hours :<
We really need the penalty back... sadly this community isn't mature enough to police itself.
-
I played 5 games yesterday, 3 of them had dc... always at the beginning when the got downed...
-
All the time!!!
When I open a locker unintentionally or reload hatches, and their is a surprise survivor inside I scream like a little girl.
-
Nah, they did a good job in recognizing and celebrating Pride. A charm was released and they did a charity stream. That is more then they do for any other world event or holiday of late. Plus RE was kind of a big deal.
Characters take time. The characters/ chapters we see now were already at least a year in the making. I know they announced the LGBTQ character awhile ago but I am sure they have him/her in development and will be released when he/she is ready. To shoe horn a lgbtq character out just because of Pride would be wrong. Everyone judges companies on not being sincere enough with lgbtq representation. Bhvr is trying to do it right and we should applaude them for that. I am sure when we get him/her it will be an amazing chapter :)
I am happy with what they did and I look forward to the Prides to come. If they released all the flags or cosmetics now there would be nothing for the future. This is a good first small step in the right direction. Let's not hate on them for doing things right. Turns it into a 'damned if they do, damned if they don't' thing and that attitude sucks.
