the survivors are punished for the others dying and also for not interacting with the killer. not good. i.e.-one will not gain a pip if they just do gens. -

yes, it is indeed that bad. playing both survivor and killer enables perspective for me. i think many survivors want killers to act like that. easier to justify the ridiculous degree of harassment. i tried killer today and they were going all out. dismantling hooks before i got a survivor to them, flashlight saves, the works. too much and not my cup of tea. just makes me want to get even and i don't enjoy that. i suspect the behavior i described is why killers act like that. being on the recieving end of the camping kills my desire to play this. especially when it is game after game. -

I remember someone getting banned on Friday the 13th because several (underage--which F13 team pointed out as the reasoning here) girls were harassing him. He talked ######### back, they said they would talk to their dev friend and get him banned, and subsequently did. The girls never faced any repercussions and just went on to trash talk more people with their dev-protection. That game is cursed. lol
Never believe a punishment/justice system is fair or balanced.

Just be careful what you write or say to people when you message them regardless of what they say to you because if you don't report them their message goes unnoticed but if they report you it could result in a comms ban or worse.
You cannot get banned from reports, such as "unsporting" or "quit early" etc no matter how many you accumulate, these only effect your reputation such as "needs work" or "avoid me".
Text or voice messages that contain death threats, telling people to kill themself, or calling them racist names with lots of swear words, these kind of messages are what will get you banned if the person on the recieving end reports the message.I've had a few choice messages sent to me from playing DBD which I didn't retaliate to, I just silently reported the messages and moved on.
A couple of weeks later you get the message from Xbox Live saying that they took action on one or more of your complaints and thanking you for making Xbox Live a safer place etc, that means the result of the reports you made was a comms ban or worse.
interesting. i do remember xbox seemed to have a handle on such things. ps4...there is no report option. i did have a ps4 mod come into a..... conversation i was having. they messaged me first and were a bit over the top. i tend to enjoy a ready-made spaz and was beginning to be quite amused when one of the messages my new screwball friend sent was deleted by this overlord. nothing more took place and it felt...humbling. a fun interlude and for a moment...i felt safer. -

just my 5 cents on how dc bans should go There are time when you do need to DC, and it's next to impossible to distinguish legitimate disconnects (internet goes out briefly, or you encounter a bug and get stuck in a stalemate, for example) from intentional ones. It's based on a percentage of your total games played because if you play a large amount of games in a month (say, several hundred), four legitimate disconnects can very easily happen. A set number wouldn't scale for those who play the game a lot.
...or you are being trolled relentlessly but evidently, a good sum of the community enjoys and supports that. -

yes, i seldom can bring myself to leave a hook when it is plainly obvious the entourage is in the shadows, especially if they are the bouncy types. they truly don't see themselves as their greatest problem either. very odd.

i went back after opening the exit gate to save a dwight off the hook. he left me on the hook and walked out. i told him something caustic and he told me "every man for himself."

you mean punish the ones like the hillbilly? i agree. he certainly is horrible for the community. especially for new players. actually, i generally don't quit, though posting such a video makes me the poster child for such. i stack half a dozen games in a row like that and it becomes easy though. -
