She did cut the toe off someone and offered it to a god to get them cured of the plague, so that could possibly be it. But I believe what someone above said is the Plague will do the Entity’s bidding if she believes it would cure her. Another thing about the lore is that everyone that followed her into the cave vanished, we don’t know what happened to them so it’s possible that the Entity had her kill all of them before taking her. Guess we’ll see in the Archives. Just like how Evan thought about killing his father in log 7 of Blood, Brass, and Grit

Devs put something out on Twitter. If you complete one of the tomes, a cutscene will unlock continuing where the cutscene left off from last year. (Maybe it’ll be longer considering you have to work a lot more for this) This is gonna be a good month!
Just to show has proof

Aww, were there any more detailed information about the Withering Blight? Will it bring new animations, goals and journal entries or simply repeating that of last year? I'm so hungry for lore, my VPN broke and now I cannot visit youtube :/

I really enjoyed those scenes and I really hope they kinda do a daily spotlight where each killer gets a scene where their gradual deformations and odd growths are shown. Like we see them getting injected and then them being in pain and their anger growing and then their escape.
King did a fantastic interview with Mathieu and Mathieu explained that the Archives are coming this patch, alongside the release of the Withering Blight event. Meaning the tome we get for the first 3 months is based off of the Withering Blight. Meaning we are getting lore for the Withering Blight in this tome in the next two weeks

It has no "true" form, it's closer to a cellular hivemind which can use itself to construct environments and items. The closest you can get to a true form is an auric cell, or rather the conglomorate of all auric cells.
Cells aren’t the “true” form of a human, the whole body is. That would mean the cells aren’t the actual entity, just what makes it. Every being has a true form, even if your mind cannot comprehend it. Take Cthulhu as an example, Cthulhu has a true form, even if our mind still cannot comprehend what it is, it has a physical body it can manifest itself as. Meaning the Entity would have a true form as well, even if we, ourselves, cannot comprehend what the being would look like

It is indeed possible for a survivor to become a killer under certain circumstances.
- They've lost all hope
- They're willing to submit to the entity
- They have no care for the lives of their fellow survivors
Nurse gets a passby on 3 because she is the first killer and had to be tortured into the role.
But if those criteria are met the Entity may attempt to give them the role of killer.
If they don't meet the 1st criteria, they are still a survivor. If they dont meet the 2nd, they are tossed to the void. If they don't meet the 3rd they may be tossed or tortured.
After all of the pain the survivors have endured, none of them would willingly submit. They would all be tortured into the entity’s bidding. Trapper, Nurse, Plague, Spirit, Hag, Doctor, all holding some form of torture done to them while in the realm. Trapper has hooks dug into his back, Nurse is forever suffocating, Doctor is in a forever smile, Hag is rotting flesh, Spirit is distorted and cut up like in her previous life, and Plague is still infected,
Survivors would need to be twisted and tortured in order to actually be a killer because they have never actually killed anyone themselves, and still hold onto their humanity unlike the killers. Survivors are still altruistic no matter what we see in game, they realize that they have to help each other in order to escape. Meaning none of our current survivors would become a killer because they still hold onto hope.
Benedict Baker though, he’s given up completely. In his final entry on his journal being “If you find my body, please bury me.” Showing that he’s given up and thinks he’s going to die here. Which isn’t true because death is not an escape, but he thinks it is. And when he realizes that it’s not, the Entity can either throw him into the void because he’s lost all will to continue going forward. Or it can try to convert him because he lost all emotion, meaning he would be like the killers, minus the rage

I sort of hope BHVR gives us more Lore for DBD but does so in a way like Dark Souls, where not every question is answered and the community is left piecing evidence together to create what fits for themselves.
That’s exactly what they are doing with the Archives. They give us lore and we have to piece it together. But every question answered is another 4 questions asked. Meaning we must piece it all together, even if there will never be a finite answer. The devs are also going to Ben giving us journal entries, cinematically for the characters before they got taken, etc... the Archives are going to be a blessing for all of us invested into the lore
-
Devs said we have to figure out his lore when the Archives come out, but seeing as how the devs called him the Prisoner, he isn’t doing this willingly. Meaning he was probably once a survivor, perhaps a survivor who injected themselves with a serum to escape and was driven mad from it.
Vigo and Benedict are both journalists, which means either of them would get an Archives as their place to stay, plus, why would the Entity give the Prisoner this power in the first place? So the characters can remember what they are fighting for, so they get more hope, or rage. It can keep growing.
Another thing, Vigo supposedly isn’t in the Entity’s realm anymore, meaning he is possibly in the void
-
The trial is a flower, it starts at the basement and blooms upwards. The basement is the closest thing to the Entity in the trial which is why you hear crackling and see orange lighting.
-
The fog is what the Entity uses to strip the characters of their memories. Devs stated on the anniversary stream that the Prisoner can probe the fog and pull memories from it to give to the characters. The fog also coincidentally is how the Entity takes its victims. Ghostface, Ash, Jeff, Legion, can’t exactly remember if Spirit saw fog or not, I think she just passed out from blood loss.

Well, the Entity is everything in its realm besides the survivors and killers. But it has to have a physical form, it’s not a conglomerate being, it has a true form to it, even if our minds cannot comprehend it. Kate even saw what it “looked” like when she got taken. Black limbs descended from the heavens and she bashed a rock against it, only for it to bounce off Iran iron like flesh. Then she got taken

According to the (admittedly crappy) bio the Demogorgon has, she chose the creature as it was perfect for the trials.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/589979#Comment_589979
The auric cells are the building blocks of everything you see in DbD. Just like many different cells make us humans up. As for her true form, I would imagine it wouldn't be anything we could possibly imagine, but I would think it akin to a floral or fungal appearance.
@NuclearBurrito said:

Why not? A single cell isn't what causes intelligence, it's the full collection. They are cells that make up an entire being, that being is referred to as the entity.
@AetherBytes said:
The entity, as we see it, is everything we see apart from the killers (except possibly the upcoming Demogorgon, if you're willing to believe it's a copy the entity has made) and the survivors. Even the tools they use and the clothes they wear are made of the Entity (Entity X ? inbound). Outside of that it manifest directly using auric cells, or as an energy of some kind.
I understand that the Entity is made up of Auric cells, that’s what’s its made of, not technically it’s true form. Even stuff from Lovecrfft and IT have a real form (Cthulhu or other great ones and Deadlights respectively) Our minds cannot comprehend it (yet) but there are things that we don’t know.
If our minds can comprehend this being, what would its true form be? Where did it originate from? How can we speak it’s language or possibly understand it?
Another thing is, the Entity made everything in the trials (doubt the thing with clothes but that’s a different topic.) The one thing besides survivors and killers that the Entity didn’t create was the hatch. One of the survivors made that (possibly Vigo) and the Entity decided to keep it for the trials, but has clearly gained knowledge of how it works. I.e. killers are now able to close it

I wouldn't call it underwhelming, necessarily. If Vigo found a way out that means it might still be there waiting for another survivor to find it. That in and of itself could be interesting
It’s possible that he escaped, there does seem to be a way out, but I don’t think he left. It’s possible, but I think he’s still in the realm

"Highly unlikely" "skin like iron"
*laughs in P3 protagonist killing the avatar of death and p5 protagonist killing an actual god* Trust me bro, the power scaling does mot favor The Entity on this one.
But in all seriousness in terms of Vigo, he's most likely either in the void or is the Archivist. We'll probably find out which on once the archives launch.
I was thinking Benedict to be the Prisoner in all honesty. But it really could be either of them, wouldn’t be wise to give Vigo all of the knowledge that he was looking for though.

Bill and Tapp survivor wise. Non licensed wise I gotta go with David.
Killer wise I think the only one capable is Spirit. It says in her lore that her rage is so powerful that even the Entity can’t control it. If she knew that the Entity wasn’t holding up it’s end of the deal then she could destroy it.
Just because her rage is uncontrollable, doesn’t mean it would deal harm to it in any way. A rock bounces off its skin like it was made of iron in Kate’s backstory. And all the weapons and powers are given to the killers by the Entity. Meaning, the Entity can make the weapon as sharp, or as dull as it wants at any given moment. Meaning that it cannot be harmed by physical objects.

Maybe it's similar to how the Entity builds maps. She has a "database" of people she has taken and randomly picks 4 when a trial is about to start. She doesn't check for duplicates so you can have two instances of the same person.
Most likely possibly is that the Entity is in a realm where it can pull from every single timeline. Take someone it sees that it thinks is worthy, then rip them out of every single timeline that they were in. Giving yourself a clone. Which is why no one in the game is exactly the same. 4 Dwight’s can all look the same, but they won’t all act the same. This is how we get the different outfits, yes it’s their past lives, but it could have been what they were wearing at the time of being taken. Only for the outfit to be lost to the fog.
The outfit part is a stretch, but this is most likely how clones exist

Not all great ones look like Cthulhu. Some, like Narhlothep (I think I butchered that), can have human form. It's concept was definitely based off of Lovecraft's works though.

After re-watching the new IT movie and doing some research, it seems the entity was GREATLY influenced by the IT lore. Instead of fear to "salt" it's meat, it uses hope. So maybe it's from the same Macroverse and it looks more like the deadlights (An orange blobby spider thing. Sound familiar?)
Also, if the entity is made of auric cells and given what those represent in-game isn't this more accurate?
Definitely seems lovecraftian. Like one of the Eldrich truths. I wouldn’t say that it’s greatly based off of IT’s lore. Granted it does feed off of strong emotions, but it doesn’t consume the survivors just a part of their soul. Could it be a deadlight? Yeah, it’s possible, but I don’t think the devs would go down that path. It seems to be based off of more Lovecraftian stuff than IT, but it doesn’t mean that both are incorrect.

I don't think this should exist. It's an evil god that just kinda showed up and now wants to grow even more than before.
But how did it show up? Something had to awaken the thing in the first place. It couldn’t have just now appeared out of thin air to grab people. That’s why it has to have a physical form, something we can comprehend if we were resting on the same insight as it. We don’t know how long it has been here, we don’t know what summoned it. Hell, we don’t even know where it originated from, because that’s important into figuring out this whole thing. Find the origin, find the way to potentially destroy it.

The entity's realm may be timeless, but your analogy only works if it grabbed people linearly, but that is not the case. Huntress and Plague are examples of it grabbing people from the past.
Hell, at this point, it's different universes/dimensions, simply because of Stranger Things. Who knows if you'd end up back at the one you vanished from?
I like to not consider licensed chapters because of that simple fact, they mess with the timeflow of the main chapters (all of the actual original killers.) And while yes, Huntress and Plague were taken from rough time periods, that doesn’t mean they won’t be put back where they were.
You are correct in stating that they are from different time periods and from the past and whatnot, but think about this differently. The Entity is nestled between realms, which means it has access to every single timeline. (This is how licensed stuff would appear.) If it has access to every single time line, it only has to take you once for you to be trapped forever.
This would also explain running into yourself in the fog, it’s you, but from a different timeline. If you escape, the rest of you knows how to escape. You would be dropped back to where you are in this sense. Back to where it all began, like it was just a bad dream.

That doesn't matter much since time is so wonky in the Entity's Realm.
He could still have encountered all killers in the game, present and upcoming, before his disappearance. There's no reason to not have Benedict Baker quotes on every killer, nonetheless.
Time may be messed up, but that doesn’t mean he encountered everything before us. Did he know about specific killers before us? Yes. But if his quotes are missing, that means he hasn’t written about them, so he hasn’t had a chance to see them. And if he didn’t see the new killers, he definitely didn’t see the new survivors (which would be more likely because there are 4 of them in a trial.)
Could I be wrong? Possibly, the Archives are giving us journal entries, whether from Benedict or Vigo. Maybe they were lost to the fog at some point.
-
I tried to find the tweet, but I lost it. I tweeted Mathieu, asking if it would be possible to get the Grim Reaper (basically death) as a killer. He explained that the Reaper would be more satisfied in taking souls, not working for something else. I don’t think death can come into a timeless realm because none of them truly die.

It needs to calm down with all its dimension hopping before it ends up hitting a universe with things capable of completely obliterating it. Though now that it hit Stranger Things, it might be too little too late to avoid that.
Oh well, at least it wasn't stupid enough to shoot for the Persona Universe. Thus would have been the days of the Entity for sure.
Highly unlikely. The entity seems to have no known weakness at the moment. This would mean that it’s nearly impossible to kill. Kate’s lore even stated that it’s skin was like iron when she beat its leg with a rock, only for it to bounce off of the Entity. The only thing strong enough seems to have been Vigo, yet we don’t know what happened to him.
The Entity wouldn’t let someone that knows of its existence into the real world, that would be suicide for our little antagonist. The void would be better suited, maybe even turning him into a killer. It would make sure to always keep an eye on him, and show us how scared of this one guy it truly is.
-
The Prisoner is most likely Benedict if you think about it. He was a journalist after all, what better place than an Archive? Allows him to forever learn. Plus, he also gets to know what truly happened at the MacMillian Estate on that fateful day.

We don't know what the time conversion would be. I mean, a survivor could experiance a decade of pain, but then it's found to be a year. I mean, it's fascinating that the entity can pull people from all times, and that people perceive them arriving at certain times... There is so much we don't know. Hopefully Archives will expand on this to a degree.
Taking into account of time manipulation, you would be taken, and dropped back where you were. You would remember everything, but no time would have passed. It would seem like an eternity, but it’s been milliseconds. The thing about it, is that it’s basically a worm hole. Take something out of a timed realm, and put it into a timeless one, you lose all sense of time itself. Putting something from a timeless realm into a timed one, makes it so that you were dropped right back into place.
Think of lightspeed. Where you travel at the speed of light, to where it’s only seconds instead of years. Now imagine if you got stuck between the start and destination. That’s your timeless realm because no time can possibly be shown. Reach the end of the tunnel and come out the other side? Right back where you started
-
That’s what the Entity is made up of, not exactly the true form. It’s still something our minds cannot comprehend. Meaning it’s not truly it’s real form. If we were to truly comprehend it’s real form, what would it actually be? Because then we would understand it’s language and even understand the entire meaning behind it’s existence
-
The devs will release a tome every 3 months, they will expand the lore of probably 1 killer, 1 survivor, and the lore of the universe with each tome
-
Benedict is supposedly the character from the Hallowed Blight event. Meaning the Entity grabbed him and he became thing. My guess is that he might be the Prisoner for the Archives

I say protagonist villain because I remember hearing from the Leatherface movie, the more recent one. Texas ranger Hartman is the good guy but he does terrible things to people. Hence the name “protagonist villain” where as Jedidiah or “Leatherface” is the “antagonist hero”
in the case of DBD where someone thinks the Entity is the main character, they would be considered the protagonist villain.
Got it, then yes, the Entity would be a protagonist villain, they are a protagonist yet also the villain of this story. If we truly want the main characters, we have 4, Entity, Benedict, Vigo, and Prisoner. Once the Archives come out, we will have a lot more info on all of these people.
-
Archives are a new thing coming (hopefully) with the mid-chapter patch after Chapter 13. We will complete challenges like catch 3 survivors in bear traps after they vault. Completing enough of these will unlock journal entries from Benedict or Vigo, and we get cutscenes of survivors and killers before they were taken by the Entity.

And the devs at first stated her as an it. But that’s none of my business, I didn’t waste my Time being a top contributor. @DocOctober
@GodDamn_Angela So you think The Entity is a protagonist villain. Interesting.
The Entity is basically the antagonist, yet also a protagonist in the story. The Entity is the main character to a point. Benedict and Vigo are the main survivors that we have so far, and the Entity is the main villain. It’s the protagonist of its story, so in theory, then Benedict and Vigo are antagonists.

I used to place the Blight Researcher among the survivors (which would lead to hilarious situations if they made it finally to the campfire and others. Like, they would be the only source others learn about Vigo). Now that I think about it, their becoming a killer is also pretty cool. Check out my recent fan art, maybe...
https://selkade.tumblr.com/post/186510077168/head-canon-hallowed-blight-chapter-new-survivor
I just gave them random head-canon looks... I'm pretty okay if one day they get canon appearance differing much from my prediction. I'm actually expecting such thing to happen, I guess. Before the Halloween Event, the wiki said Vigo was a girl, and I believed so for 6 months lol
Now that you say the survivors could learn about Vigo through them... it gave me an idea. I’m sticking with the theory on this character being a killer for now. But what if the Entity took them and they became the Archivist. Would explain why they have their own place, would explain why they know so much, and if this is truly Benedict Baker, it would explain why he’s in charge of an Archive. An infinite source of knowledge, a way to figure things out, that’s what he wanted.
And now that I think about it, Dave during the anniversary stream, told us that we have to figure out the Prisoner’s lore. If this year is the year of lore, this has to be a character we know. They wouldn’t give us a new character for the lore of the game. This cannot be filler, it would make total sense if this is Benedict. Could I be reading too much into this? Yes... but I can’t wait for the Archives, it’s going to be a plethora of lore to behold

I love the game and its unique story telling. It's troubling how many people I met (and even myself sometimes) are ignorant about the Lore as if it's completely separated from gameplay, like some secondary, dispensable ornament.
I've actually read into the quotes of the unseen characters, given them head-canon looks in fan arts, and imagined what's been happening beyond our playable characters' world. Sounds a bit silly, maybe. I know the devs are never obliged to provide with more lore, after all. It's not their first priority compared to making new DLC, establishing servers or adjusting game balance, that have-more-people-satisfied sort of thing. But I sorta like what they have been doing and are planning to do in the coming year... more Lore and events please! The text sometimes gives me the motivation to play on.
Don’t worry buddy, this year is the year of lore. Côté during an interview said this year was going to have a more narrative direction for the game. So we get journal entries from probably both Benedict and Vigo, cutscenes of the survivors and killers. More about the world and the Entity, it’s gonna be a good year!

You mean the Entity took them in not as a survivor, but as a killer and the whole process was a training session? I don't know, we know nearly 0% of the characters past. They seemed pretty normal during their early journal entries and even showed sympathy for those "poor souls" screaming in the distance.
Make me wonder in what circumstances the Entity smelled their "murderer potential", which according to the devs is vital when the Entity decides who can work for it, for example Philip or Rin. An opium den surely is a dangerous place, lol
I used to lean toward the theory that
1) Either they were taken in as a survivor (but unfortunately never got to meet other teammates of that trial), and after the Hallowed Blight they lost all strength to fight on, accepted the coming death and became useless to the Entity so the latter grabbed them and disposed of them in the Void, where all hopeless survivors went;
2) Or they were taken in too early in time, that trials like what we see today hadn't even been designed yet: monsters roaming everywhere, no campfire, no generators or gates.
And there's this third option:
3) They had their murderer potential awakened during the misadventure, driven mad by isolation, pain and rage of being deceived (by Vigo). The monsters never bothered to attack them again, since they were now the same as them.
Pretty cool, still. Who wouldn't like a torturous mad-science-student type of killer.
The final theory is most likely. Our character is normal in the beginning, but slowly is driven down the path of madness. A few key points are as follows;
1) The rat bites them
2) Bite becomes infected and swells up
3) Fights the monster while blacked out and wins what should have been an impossible fight.
4) They inject themself with the serum, possibly enhancing the effects of the bite.
5) And finally, the rage of being deceived. Or were they? Vigo never got to finish his research, Côté also said that Vigo isn’t in the Entity’s realm anymore. Meaning two things; First, they found a way to escape the Entity’s world completely. Or, he got sent to the Void. Either way, the serum not letting this character escape sent him mad, which allowed the Entity to see the potential. The fury at Vigo for the misinformation, and the damaged mind from the serum, absolutely means they had to have been taken.

I checked the wiki, things happening in chronological order:
1) Discovered the laboratory
2) Monster broke in; arm wounded, hid in the woods
3) Returned to the lab, experimented with the rodent, old wound got bitten
4) Monster returned; chained it to the cellar
5) Monster escaped after injection (and never came back again)
After that things got really weird as the character suffered sanity drain and became an unreliable narrator.
Since the Pustulas, or "Entity flowers" were blossoming everywhere, one could hardly say that the district around the Lab was undisturbed by Entity forces. It may be pretty weak around that time of the year though.
The theory about the moon is amazing. I wonder how they tell how much time passed in the endless night... maybe there was a clock...
It’s possible that the Entity wasn’t focused on our character, but rather on the purge going throughout its body. This would explain why the Entity never did anything and had one of its puppets attack for it.
Another thing is that it would be impossible to know exactly what day it is... unless you had just gotten taken the day before. If our character knows all of the dates for their journal, they just got taken, this would explain as to why we haven’t seen them as a killer yet, they still have more torturous training to go through. The theory so lines up, because you’ll think that time works like it doesn’t in our world at first. So every time they sleep, another day goes by. That’s why they know the dates

I was being facetious - and you led with the 'Nea is the Entity' meme.
That said, we don't pretend our animal cells are intelligent. We don't say that sapience or intelligence are in the cells of the human being, just as we wouldn't rightly claim that malevolence and hunger are in the auric cells of The Entity herself. The auric cells are just the building blocks for her physical manipulations, which she and we shape into everything from doors to generators to medkits - they're somewhere between body and nest, being something that she sheds and is able to perceive through, but are used similar to the pulp of an insect's nest to shape an environment. The devs have already confirmed that everything you see in the trial that isn't the survivors or killers themselves is the Entity, but the idea of separating auric cells from a literal manifestation still allows this to be possible.
The Entity herself is something removed from three-dimensional space, while the auric cells are within three dimensional space. The closest we can get to seeing the 'true form' is when her claws reach through the sky or ground to pull a survivor in. From what we can tell [by specific visual effects and sounds], the Entity herself is almost entirely in the Spirit World*, allowing limited access to the Hag, Nurse, Wraith, and Spirit for their powers which bend space - listed in progressive levels of access. I'd suggest that full access is equivalent to accessing specifically the fifth dimension, as it allows one to traverse both space and time.
Auric cells themselves behave similarly to plants: able to grow and adapt quite quickly with the right stimulus, and their/her flowering with the infection of the Hallowed Blight is just further evidence. Light appears to harm things connected to the spirit world and auric cells, as evidenced by specific scoring events with flashlights. The reason flashlights stun killers is because The Entity herself is looking through their eyes. The tutorial and lore about generators also indicates this vulnerability to light.
In total, the being of The Entity is similar in physical structure to a malleable combination of fungal growths (similar in scope to Armillaria ostoyae) comprised primarily of auric cells. These cells are produced and controlled by a being without a distinct physical form mostly bounded within the Spirit World, who seems most capable of reaching across dimensional boundaries during periods of extreme emotion - not just hope, but hope serves as the best nutrition. Whatever shape it has is one of five dimensions, and thus not something we could easily comprehend except through the approximations given by the claws we see - keeping in mind that these are auric constructs, and the swirling portals and orange lights are probably closer to literal examples of Her form.
*separate but connected to the Dream World, Void, The Trials/Campfire, and tenuously connected to the Real World.
Honestly, if we were gonna drag the Cthulhu mythos into this, I'd be leaning more toward forms like Yog-Sothoth or Azathoth than Shub-Niggurath or Cthulhu himself. If we're looking to be more grounded in our real world: I'd guess the trials are hallucinations as a vast fungus digests people, like Field Trip from The X-Files or something similar.
I agree with a lot of those statements. The Entity is the whole trial, and the devs stated that the basement is the closest point to the Entity because the trials are like a flower, it blooms upwards. Which would explain the cracking you hear when you enter the basement, it’s the same cracking that we hear from the Entity when it manifests itself to block a gen or window, or when sacrificing.
Another thing is the whispers, it can speak, the words seem to be only understood by pure madness. Hence why the killers can hear it, and the survivors can only hear it while in tier 3 madness

I don't think the Lab was a safe place. The monster, if such a thing really existed, somehow sniffed it out and shattered the walls while breaking in.
Also the character should have returned to the Lab before Entity took them, as they, in despair, "feed the dead rodent under my pillow". Or maybe, it's not impossible that they always carry a dead rat and a pillow with them each time they went outdoors. 😁
I haven’t looked at the lore from the Blight in awhile, but if I remember correctly, the monster shattered the walls after the experiment escaped. Which means the experiment probably went back to the lab to kill the character that tortured it. As for the rat, well, it was their only friend in this world (even though it bit them.) This shows how insane our character has gotten, allowing the Entity to finally capture our character and turn them against the survivors.

But it's believed that everything in the realm is made of the Entity (auric cells). How can someone use the Entity to create something the Entity couldn't reach lol
What about the monsters trying to break in... And the super suspicious "Entity is here" at the end of the journals? Does that mean Vigo's gone, the spells wearing off and the Fog's old rules regaining power over the place?
Seems like it. Vigo is long gone because our character in question yells for him near the end to no avail. The part where the Entity takes him in is after he leaves the lab if I’m correct. But the lab is in an area where it wasn’t able to get found. Vigo figures something out with the Auric Cells and bended them to his will, allowing him to create an area that the Entity couldn’t see. Plus I think the moon has a bigger role, our character in question looks at the moon and can feel the Entity’s presence if I remember correctly

Also, I'm pretty sure the Blight researcher was the reason Entity launched the Endgame Collapse mechanic... Dude super toxic, teabaggin' the killers and wouldn't leave the trial for weeks until Entity itself came for them...
Wait, were they even in a trial? It was nothing like what we know in game. There seemed to be MULTIPLE monsters and NO generator.
Vigo created a lab where the Entity couldn’t reach. Allowing him to research in peace. I don’t know if the person researching the Blight was Benedict or not. Devs stated that they want to continue with the lore before anything happens with Benedict. Côté also said that they want year 4 (This game year) to be a more maritime direction for the game, as in more lore is going to get revealed about Benedict, Vigo, the Entity and this world as a whole

That creepy octopus thing? Oh heccckkk naw O.o
Yeah, that what the Entity manifests into when sacrificing the survivors. It also blocks the gens if certain perks are equipped or for end game

It could very well be some demon, the hands on the hooks says it all.
it could be a demon, but the devs talked saying it was an ancient being, like a Great One from H.P. Lovecraft

The Entity is everything you see, touch, hear, and feel. It's the presence behind your eyes, the generator you work on, the blood you spill.
Auric Cells are the entity, and it's a vast hivemind thing of a fungal and insectoid nature, mirroring the notions we know while comprised of space and time we do not comprehend.
Her herald walks among us though, in a form we beings of flesh can know. His dead eyes haunt the minds of madmen, rending caustic shrieks from the damned. Here is her herald: look deep into madness, and despair.
That is true that the Entity is made up of the Auric Cells, but is it just that? The Auric Cells shouldn’t be intelligent enough to be able to form this twisted game. (Meanwhile the jokes were fantastic, this is a lore discussion)

It was from the official game website, and later added to the game's wiki (trying to get you a link for the website, but not having any luck with it, so here's the wiki page instead)

Okay, thank you. And yeah, that would mean the Doctor was taken from 1970-1983. Always forget about the maps under kyf, that’s where some of the years are stated for certain killers. Except hag... hag is a pain to figure out.

"By 1970, the Institute was fully transformed into a CIA black site with special requirements to develop cutting-edge interrogation techniques and they employed a wide range of different doctors and specialists to help them. The Institute thrived through the 70's growing to a staff of hundreds, filling the main hospital and several out-buildings.
Documents and evidence about the Institute is scarce as the government condemned the entire building in 1983, even razing most of the building to the ground in what seemed to be planned explosive demolition."
These are the lines that led Rattman and me to this conclusion (and I can't un-italicize this for some reason, so...). Hope this clears it up.
Where did you find this? Was it under the map selection if a kyf? Because that definitely isn’t in the doctor’s backstory

As the person who made an entire thread about the Killer timeline, I just want to make a few statements about your timeline.
Trapper's backstory seems to indicate that unions are picking up speed, around 1954ish. Also, just a slight nitpick, Archie MacMillan owned the entire estate; which consists of a factory, mine, storehouse, his house (that I don't believe we see) and several other things we may not see. Just saying he owned the factory is not giving him enough credit.
The description of the Thompson House in Coldwind Farm states "After the horrific events of 1972, the building fell into disrepair and eventual ruin," putting Hillbilly here.
Azarov is a Russian surname, and his way of disposing of bodies is incredibly mob-like. The Russian mob was pretty active in the 90s. Also, Wraith is an African immigrant. Do you really expect him to have a job crushing cars in the 30s? Not saying it's impossible, but super unlikely.
Thanks to fellow forum member Rattman, I learned that Doctor's interrogation went on through the 70s until the institute was condemned in 1983.
I had a lot of trouble with Spirit too, so don't feel bad about this one. She went to Takamatsu University, which was established in 1996.
Just a few things I wanted to point out. Also, I don't think anyone really knows where Hag is from.
All of your points are valid, and I can agree on them. But I don’t think Doctor was 70s, could I be wrong? Yes. But giving the time for the CIA, Electroconvulsive therapy, and the building he worked at, 50s seems more appropriate. But hey, these are all speculations and it’s fun to try to figure his out, together.
