We could have had Chaos Shuffle, but nooo that got moved… *crosses arms and pouts*
-
I got some good news for you, check latest ptb.
-
Sometimes I dont get BHVR, we got Killers who barely got anything to Kill with, who has to jump through 46 rules just to injure a Survivor and then we have Kaneki who just jumps in my general direction, puts his crosshair over me, Boom free injure! and then just jumps again lands near me as I try to escape, cancels jumps for no cost and downs me.
Like I clearly don't see what the developers see and I'm somewhat good at that, but not here, I'm blind as all hell.
-
Like what would it look like? the more you describe the better BHVR might implement it.
-
If you allow changing of cosmetics or textures, you allow for cheating of the same.
I'm old enough to remember the times Survivors changed Trapper's trap's color to white. This is why we have anti-cheat today and have strict texture rules.
-
This Perk can singlehandedly kill an entire soloQ at minimal effort from the Killer, why on earth should it be buffed?
-
I dont want to say I did this… but ill say it, I did this.
Thanks BHVR
-
I don't want to just alt-tab while I'm queueing for Killer
Uhm.. you should really. I watch youtube and fiddle with CookieClicker while I wait.

u brought good points and brings me to question if it might be for the better to not know it.
I do wanna say though, having to play with or against people across such vast differences of skill-level makes me feel like im not playing to win but the game is deciding for me whether i win or not. And it does feel like it does it in a way, where streaks are likely to accure to give u more of a feeling of agency. But a fake one.
In matches u lose, u dont feel like u couldve changed the outcome. In matches where u win, u feel like u couldve played worse and still won.In matches I lose, I know when I did something wrong and bad, it must be nice to not be so critical of ones self :D
-
Ive been tunneled out by a Blight three times before the first gen was done today, dont tempt me with this.
-
I kinda agree with the disable post match chat.
Yeah you can fold it in and keep it that way, but humans dont really work that way, curiosity gets the better of us.
Rather an option to disable it fully for the match would be smarter and not tempting to look at the chat. -

it exists to what extend ? what about it makes it skill based ?
Not showing it makes it obvious that you are trying to hide something. And why would u hide something when its not rigged ?The fact something is hidden does not mean its rigged.
For example: the code of the game is hidden too, don't mean its rigged or supposed to be visible.Let me list the reasons why MMR have good reasons to be hidden:
1.Reduce Player Anxiety and Toxicity
- Visible MMR can create stress for players who feel pressured to maintain or increase their rating.
- Some players may become toxic or overly competitive, especially if they think a match isn't "worthy" of their MMR level.
- It can also lead to gatekeeping or elitism, where players judge others based on a visible number.
2.Discourage Manipulation or Exploits
- If MMR is visible, some players may intentionally lose games (derank) to face easier opponents — often called "smurfing" or "reverse boosting." This behavior ruins the experience for new or casual players.
3.Encourage Fun Over Rank
- BHVR has said they want players to focus more on enjoying the game and playing different characters, not just climbing a hidden ladder.
- Making MMR invisible removes some of the temptation to always play the "meta" or most powerful builds just to win.
You are free to disagree ofc, dont mean they are not good reasons for a game developer to deploy.
-
MMR is a factor in matchmaking, its just not the only factor. Sounds like you got a bad match? that sucks but there are reasons.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm2pvpmnyvwConsider watching this if you wanna understand how and why matchmaking in modern games.
-
Yeah, you are supposed to dodge those, not every part of this game is smooth easy loops.
-
For Demogorgon, idd like the following changes to portals.
- You can still place them where you please.
- When charging Of the Abyss, you see Portal Spots (like Sadako)
- When selected to Port, the Demogorgon immediately starts in the digging and tunneling part.
(No more placing hole and then digging the hole, its tiresome and wasteful for a tp ability.) - A open portal is automatically placed in the nearest convenient area to where the Demogorgon ported from.
- Leprose Lichen is basekit, except its Killer instinct now while traveling the upside down.
- Before Demogorgon emerges from a hole, he snaps his direction to nearest survivor within 20ish meters with Killer instinct.
- When Demogorgon emerges from a hole, he gains undetectable duration comparable to modern killer standards.
For Shred, idd like to see the following options.
- Make it so its easier to Shred a already dropped pallet, the Server always seem to decide that no actually that stunned me, when the pallet is dropped on my end. Also sometimes the pallet just wont be shredded.
- Add multiple addons that change how the Shred works.
Examples: Ultra Rare for 2 Shreds like Wesker.
Purple for a Shred that, first gives movement speed for 2 seconds and then activates a shred.
etc you know FUN STUFF.
For Charging Of the Abyss, idd like to see many more aura reading or killer instinct bonuses from addons.
- Example: Just a plain Killer Instinct on short range, can be used to check lockers fast.
Higher rarity gives free aura reading at a cost.
Full REWORK of most of the Demogorgon's addons.
In short:
- An easier to use, more threatening and versatile Portal Power.
- A much more interesting Shred that doesnt fail or cheat your our of Shreds.
- Many new addons with fun effects, that make life interesting for the Killer players.

Amazing! I honestly only play pig with two dash addons, because it makes her by a mile more fun for me, so I hope this buff will allow me to use something else finally. Big W
Same I am very pleased with these changes, I have never touched her other addons because its way more fun to be a speedy pig.

BHVR there is missing a preset with Random Perks, please the only other way is the last tome quest I have that can allow me this.

It’s always interesting that lots of people will demand anti-slugging…. But when killers get remote hooking (which is anti-slugging), then that is a problem too.
You wanna explain why remote hooking could be a anti-slugging solution, cause Ive seen plenty of slugging during the event too.
But I honestly have not seen anyone argue that hooking takes too long so you need to slug people, where did you get this?
-
This sounds like a cool idea for a Perk for Survivor,
The Survivor on their should gain wiggle progress bonus as you fail to blind the Killer. A nice way to benefit even if you suck at flashlight saves or want to feel useful while training to do it.Combine this with Champion of the Light, Fixated, Breakout and you could probably save a teammate by doing that.
Also, while we are at Flashlight Perks.
Idd like a Perk that makes me heal my fellow survivors with my flashlight, the healing light, you shine on them and the healing bar goes up. It could be a cool way to benefit from a Flashlight if you are bad at landing the saves. This way you could even blind the Killer and help heal a team-mate self-caring under the hook taking a hit.Combine this with Empathic Connection or Do No Harm to Heal a slugged teammate through a window cause I'm a coward.
That's enough gold perk ideas for today. 😜
-
I rather enjoy Snug's antics, all problems I have with Houndmaster is the abysmal aiming at generators with the Search Command.
-
I would like it, but he seems to be like Ghostface and Myers, they stalk to gain the power to Kill.
Except the Terrifier is "silly" as he stalks before he kills. He is definitely one of the most expressive and funny slashers in a long time, such a Killer in dead by daylight would be a visual symphony to behold. I honestly want to see it, just for the spectacle, even tho Im not a fan of the films.
-
Agreed, the problem seems to me, its way easier to benefit from auto-hook as Killer, than it is to benefit from survivor powers.
Killers benefit greatly from every hooking being 3 seconds cutting off 5 to 7 sec for each chase to hook, while survivors can barely manage to extend their chases by 5 to 7 seconds to compensate for the imbalance.
BHVR would have numbers on this, they can tell us if the Chase to Hook speed has increased or decreased in average per game.
-
I think its accurate to say that using Springtrap's Doors and putting yourself at greater risk is not worth it.
It would be better if it did something more. However that will be a problem, because lets say if it slowed down Springtrap a little, coordinated survivors could easily make all chases have that more slow. Another better idea could be, that getting revealed by doors takes away his ability to see scratchmarks? Not super powerful, but still pretty good.
Perhaps a better idea would be, if the Survivors use all the power in a door. Springtrap and Survivors take an entire second more to exit there. Its just a second and it would require a lot of use of the doors to bring it to low power.
Or maybe it just takes time for Survivor to get used to, using his power to reveal Springtrap and the looping Survivor basicly have wallhacks on the Killer. its hard to execute in soloqueue but I bet its powerful in a swf.
-
Oh and here I thought it was some new data collection scheme.

I get it's not the best, but still milion times better than BHVR' 150+ seconds.
ofc, but I rather that the bodyblocking part was super small to make games with players who might bodyblock just flow like a normal game. We could make it look like the Survivor ducks under the Killers feet too. Scooby doo style.
-
The cheating problem comes in waves and a new one just hit, reported 2 cheaters this week.
But since this week I have not seen a cheater since Winter veil. Some nights it’s literally impossible to get a single fair match.
Now this sounds unlikely, have you reported all of them?
-
Springtrap was too much stealth with the right strategy he could be better than Wraith.
Didn't even need to uncloak. -
Your idea for solving bodyblocking isnt a solution, waiting 30 seconds will ruin the experience.
Bodyblocking should be solved within 5 seconds, time enough for any Killer to fire their weapon and benefit. -
This is all that I want.
-
Happy to report

You joined these forums on November 27, 2019. I know, therefore, you must have been playing since at least then.
Can you seriously think of no buffs to [things that are not, in and of themselves, tunneling] between that date and today?
Then if should be easy for you to name the changes that specifically are a carrot for not tunneling.
You should mention those instead of stalling by listing of the Age of my Account instead. chop chop.

And it shouldn't be, and the devs have said they don't want it to be, and they've tried making it less appealing to tunnel by buffing other strategies with the result being that killers use those other buffed strategies alongside tunneling. Which brings us back to the entire point of this thread, giving killers who tunnel the stick, because the carrot isn't working
What carrot? What changes have been a carrot for not tunnelin?
-
@ratcoffee said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3956107#Comment_3956107
You don't need to tunnel in order to kill a survivor. It's just like how dining and dashing is illegal, but eating at a restaurant isn't. Saying you got arrested for "going to a restaurant" is dishonest when it's how you went to the restaurant that got punished
ofc you dont, but it IS the most efficient way to get it done. Unless you run certain perks.
-
@ratcoffee said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3956101#Comment_3956101
The role is called Killer, not Tunneler. You want to tunnel, call up Elon Musk and apply to the Boring Company.
If you want to argue that Tunneling isnt Killing a Survivor, then I really dont know what to tell you. Its just categorically incorrect.
-
@ratcoffee said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3956080#Comment_3956080
It's not "punishing the killer for doing [their] objective" though. It's rebalancing the game so that behaviors that Behaviour (heh) want to discourage, are actually discouraged. If you don't tunnel, this won't activate, and if you do tunnel, deserved lmao
Punishing killers for doing their job would be like, losing BP for every sacrifice or something
That WOULD be punishing the Killer for doing their job, because that would be discouraging the Killer from doing their job.
-
Not a bug, but unfair advantage? maybe
-
You have control over it, control to stop playing dbd cause your power is unstable.
-
Its not a Hot take, its a reasonable statement.
The problem is that would destroy Myers's Killrate and BHVR really dont have time to fix Myers so im pretty sure they dont want destroy Myers without a solution. But to me its clear as day that should not be that way. I hope they rework him soon. -
good idea.
-
There are so many tunneling Killers in the EVENT right now, its so depressing.
-
Well BHVR has promised custom match changes this fall so maybe you get that.
-
@Elan said:
I'm HM main and I like it the way it is. No point in changing that.
Yeah but I like playing Houndmaster too, but i think it would better if they changed it. So yeah, there is a point to changing it-
-
Yeah, BHVR really needs to implement something we can call "Dire Situation" when that is triggered people on hook can try to unhook themselves.

It doesn't work like that.
You can be beginner player and hit the cap very quickly because you were matched with less experienced opponents or simply lucky. Then, when you cross that cap you will get bombarded with people who play like their lives depend on the outcome and MMR will keep matching you with those because you can no longer go to lower MMR bracket anymore, you crossed the ''beginner'' zone already.
This isnt about beginners. Its about MMR and how you can chill if you reduce your mmr, thats all.
-
@Green_Sliche said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3953764#Comment_3953764
Sadly that won't work because there's that ''cap'' that doesn't let you go lower while MMR may still throw squads at you as a killer or S / A tier killers with top addons as SoloQ survivor.
The cap is there to protect completely new players.
So MMR isn't perfect, okay so what? Still works 95% of the time.
-
@TimberGoingDown said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3953764#Comment_3953764
MMR does nothing. Matchmaking is so loose that you can get 400 hour Dwight one match, then 14000 hour Steve the next.
You mean hour means nothing, MMR certainly changes the kind of Survivors you meet. I do it myself cause I play to chill.
-
We dont need to change AFK Crows, but we do need a way for downed Survivors to bleedout in a 2v1 Situation otherwise players will just waste their time for very long. It would be much better to just bring the game to a close then.
I recommend when you are downed in a 2v1, after reaching 95%… you can choose to bleedout instantly.

Playing as killer is no longer fun, im a killer main for over 4 years and in the last 2-3 weeks that i came back to the game im feeling oblidged to straight up tunnel, face camp and slug since the match starts, in the last 3 games i played, the first 3 hooks were from the same survivor, this has to end, if the anti tunneling mechanics come, all killers will leave the game, im telling u, same fate as other games, cause it makes no sense for 3 gens being already done before the first chase ends, so i suggest delaying anti tunneling update and increasing gen time from 90s to 120s, and i asked the devs to listen to feedback because this game is survivor sided, and anyone that say otherwise is because they are novice people that maybe even haven't tried killer, and A+ killers feel like B-.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/A77AB92QPYR6/captura-de-pantalla-2859-29.png
1 minute after the game starts after i made a succesful legion frenzy, all healed and 2 gens done.

3 minutes into the match.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Q8XA7MW0CRRR/captura-de-pantalla-2861-29.png
I had to face camp in the endgame to rather get a single kill, notice that before they left, all of them were fully healed, they just weren't feeling altruistic to poor leon.
Thank you for reading <3You could also just take some losses and lower your MMR to a place more comfortable for you.
