From what I remember the devs did try and design a flying killer but it didn’t work because it was too OP.
But to address the main point of this thread, the game is currently in an unbalanced state (my opinion as others may disagree) and changes are necessary.
-
When I play killer I have a hard time trying to down 1 survivor while keeping other survivors off generators. Normally I try to have fun, but games go so quick nowadays that I lose count of how many matches I've played.

I don't know. My guess would be probably not, since the next chapter is likely to come out around May and the one after that in July-August, so they probably won't coincide with anniversary celebrations. It's not impossible that they might celebrate a bit early such that the celebrations do coincide with the next chapter release, but I don't expect them to do that simply because it would probably be too much work for them to be planning a chapter release and an anniversary at the same time. If I were a dev, I would try to get the chapter out a few weeks before the anniversary so that we can focus just on celebrating when the time comes.
But didn't the Ghost face chapter release around the same time the 5th year anniversary began? I'm sure it did from what I can remember.

I'm not a developer, so unfortunately I don't know for sure. I doubt we'll be getting any more of the old kind of events, with secondary objectives included, any time soon, but I do expect that we'll get something for the game's fourth anniversary in June. I'm expecting at least a Blood Hunt, and almost certainly a lot more than that, since they've been amping up the anniversary celebrations every year and last year's was pretty spectacular.
Hopefully and will the 5th year anniversary come with a new chapter too?

probably we will haveot wait for halloween for an event
Probably, I'm hoping we get another summer event this year though. Events were what kept me playing the game sometimes.

We don't know what to expect at this stage. They don't release in patterns, so whether the next killer will be licensed or not is anyone's guess. Not trying to stifle anyone's creativity, so speculate away, just trying to answer the initial question.
As for when we can expect Chapter 16, though, they release roughly every three months, so some time in May seems most likely, possibly even late April.
Aside from Chapters, do you know if there will be any events soon?

Can't remember the exact patch. But what was changed, was that when you got pallet stunned/flash blinded in any part of the pickup animation you'd drop the survivor. They THANKFULLY removed it fast
I believe that was around the time the Emblem system came into place, I'm not sure though.
-
I feel the 110% movement speed is necessary as his power is similar to the Huntress' and she has 110% movement speed. If you picture a Huntress at 115% movement speed (same speed as Trapper, Clown, Pig etc) then she could go insanely powerful with her hatchets. The movement speed is to make up for the powerful weapons they possess.
-
If Krampus was a killer, what would his weapon, power and perks be?

If they are so inexperienced that they can’t loop, or can’t loop for any other reason, then “gitting gud” is literally the solution to their problem. Looping is a core mechanic of the game, and if you can’t loop, you can’t utilize a core mechanic of the game. The only reasonable solution is to figure out what the hell you're doing and, yes, to git gud.
If that's the case then cleansing is a core mechanic of the Plague's power. If looping is a mechanic of the game then so is slugging and camping.

- Iron Will doesn’t do anything against her because it doesn’t stop sickness noises. I complained about that in my original post.
- Just... loop? Being injured isn’t scary.
Unfortunately looping isn't always the answer, as you have newer players who do not even know what looping is. It's not the same for everyone. Some new survivors will have trouble finding which areas to loop at, so without saying "git gud" maybe consider those who aren't as experienced will have a harder time counteracting Plague.

She looks like another Yui imo.

- Dumb Survivors cleansing against Plague and willfully handing her a power doesn’t make her a good Killer. It just makes those Survivors really, really stupid.
- You're never forced to cleanse against Plague. One of the points of this post, and the issue most people have with Plague, is that cleansing is such a stupid option and not cleansing is superior in nearly every way because it denies Plague her entire power.
- We’re all aware that solo que is hell. Trust me, I’d know. But again, braindead Survivors being braindead doesn’t make a Killer good or strong—something that Plague is far from.
For point no.2 I have to slightly disagree with; choosing not to cleanse slowly injures you overtime and allows her to get an insta-down. So if you choose to cleanse it adds more power for her. If you choose not to cleanse you can't heal (unless you cleanse o.o) and she eventually knocks you down (unless you bring Iron Will but that's a different story). So it's that part of her power which is the issue.
-
Definitely Kate, Nancy and the Huntress as I mainly play those three :3
-
As a solo survivor, I can't stress enough how incredibly tense it is to go against a plague. This is because I am unable to communicate with my teammates and they all repeatedly cleanse in the fountains which just adds more power to her corrupt purge. I'm alone in those situations so I can't really request for them to stop cleansing or try and evade the killer.
Yes, cleansing is kind of forced upon you when playing survivor. But the more you cleanse the more power it adds to her base kit. The apple add on becoming part of her base kit just makes her incredibly strong and adds more pressure for the solo survivors compared to the SWF. I'm pretty sure the devs decreed that they were going to try and close the gap between solo players and SWF players, not draw them closer in a bad way.
P.S, I'm not an entitled survivor main if I come across that way, I play both sides and I agree with OP's post that the apple becoming part of Plague's base kit will make her incredibly strong. I'm not complaining because it affects all survivors, I'm defending how it is stressful enough for solo survivor's to go against a killer that forces you to cleanse yourself just to add more deadly power for the killer herself. The apple add on pushes that further for the solo players.

I don't think I've ever read a forum even similar to this. Don't worry dude, everyone makes mistakes and jumps to conclusions once in their lives.

I see what you mean and i agree, but im tired of the people saying they deserve and escape or 4k. That's the point of my post.
Yeah, of course people will make mistakes and prevent themselves from achieving those things and they should expect that they might mess up along the way. However I do get you, some entitled survivor/killer mains forget to do this and expect that they should achieve the escape/4k without putting any work into it.

Trying to get it isn't wrong, but you aren't entitled to them. You do not deserve ether, fun is not just bound by those two.
You can have fun TRYING to achieve those though. That's my main point, no one deserves to escape or kill all survivors but we are allowed to have fun and try to achieve those things.

As i replied to them
A 4k and escape are not the only factors yet others act like it is
4k is a killer's goal, just like a survivor's goal is to escape. There's nothing wrong with trying to achieve these.
-
As @JC316 said, both sides deserve to have fun and enjoy the game.
-
Sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn't want to plagiarize the way Rocket League deals with it, as it sounds similar.
-
Well the PTB is expected to release on Tuesday, so chances are we might get a reveal trailer today.
-
I use it because I am a solo player and I never play with a SWF. As a solo player it's hard to communicate with your teammates. Sometimes I try and motion them to heal me but they either ignore me and self-care in a corner or work on another gen.
If it makes you happy I always use BT when playing survivor because I'm one of the people who actually cares about myself and teammates survival. I allow myself to loop endlessly so my other teammates have time to save the hooked person; doesn't always work but sometimes does. It's a huge variation in this game.
-
Also Nancy ^ because 1. Something about her character interests me a lot and 2. I'm a fan of Stranger Things.
-
So you DC because a killer got you down before you reached a pallet too late? Sorry to say, but that's your fault and not the killers.

I do play killer. Lets keep the assumptions to ourselves. they make you look like an ass. And if the gates are right around the corner from one another its not easy for me to get the survivor. Also if its a reward then why power them at all if their most likely not even going to be open considering theyre right by each other. Use your head. Thanks.
I understand your point about the gates and the hard time getting to the survivor but insulting people isn't really going to help.
-
I personally think Trapper is the most balanced killer in the game right now. His traps give him an underrated advantage which allows him to be strategic in his chases.
All the killers are uniquely strong in their own way but Trapper has the most balanced strength because of his bear traps. Playing Trapper allows me to develop my skills and to identify better trap placements.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but my opinion is that playing Trapper allows you to get better at playing as killer because of how methodical his trap placements are. Again, this is my opinion and I don't expect many to agree but I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on the Trapper.
-
I can hear that frustration in your voice, I get you dude 😪
-
I play both sides but I'm honoured you respect Huntress mains because I am a fellow Huntress player since November of 2017 😏
-
PTSD is quite a serious mental health condition and it usually spawns around after experiencing really traumatic things (self explanatory) for example: Experiencing a war, a house robbery, house arson, hostage situation etc all those kinds of things.
Realistically, a virtual game probably can't give you PTSD. If it did then I would be very surprised considering I play a lot of horror games myself and I haven't experienced any of the symptoms for PTSD. Maybe it's just different for other people, but if you have or do get diagnosed with it by a doctor then I hope you're okay. Take a break from gaming or dead by daylight if you need to.

If you dc you ruin the fun of everyone else.
I don't know if you're talking about me personally or in general, so I'm just going to go ahead and say that I agree because DCing just puts a huge unfair disadvantage to your team mates and overall there's nothing that comes out of it.
-
I just want to play the game and have fun. Sometimes I feel like these recent changes are robbing me and other people of that opportunity.
-
@Peanits Has anyone guessed the name of the killer yet? You don't have to say who and what they wrote.

@Elena True that, I agree. What do you think of the other killers on the list, the map reworks and the funeral cosmetics collection?
After re-reading it, I love map design idea. I've always wanted the Father Campbell's Chapel map to be improvised into a more circus themed map. I really anticipated Sidney as a survivor when Ghost-face was leaked back in May, so I hope she eventually comes into the game.
Pennywise would be fun to see, considering we have 2 chainsaw killers and I'm sure another clown wouldn't hurt. However, as many other people have said, Pennywise is that of a similar creature to the entity and only disguises himself as a clown to spark fear among children. His true form is a spider, and the devs have said before that they wouldn't do a spider killer. So you could assume that Pennywise is a big 50/50. La Llorona wouldn't be too bad, considering she sings when she's close or far away, and we have the Huntress who also hums too.
One idea of mine that I really wanted when the Stranger Things chapter came out was to have the lobby filled with an upside down ambience (bluish green appearance with the white particles floating down) with demodogs peering through the branches in the background watching the survivors at the campfire.

@Elena I understand what you are saying but what the actor did has nothing to do with the character. Its called ethics and learning how to put things aside. I still think the killer would be great but respect your opinion.
Don't get me wrong, I would love the killer coming into the game, but I'm just saying I don't think it would work because of what happened and a lot of people might have issues with it.

@wrathofthemeg said:
I wish the following killers would be added to DBD: Pennywise, La Llorona (from Curse of la Llorona), Jason (I know there is a legal battle but F13 went downhill maybe there is some way DBD can get the licence), Lori, the baby mask killer from the original Happy death day movie, Jeepers Creepers, Samara from the Ring, Ben Willis (I Know what you did last summer). I know a lot of these are classic but would still be very creepy.
Regarding map reworks I think the Temple of Purgation would look awesome if it was all inside a huge temple with crypts, relics and chambers and really cool ancient stuff. The Clowns map would be really cool if the circus part would be bigger, maybe a circus big top, more creepy looking animals. I still believe Preschool map can be made a bit better to make it more like in the movies. And I would love a map for Ghostface for Woodsboro and add Sidney Prescott as a survivor.
I think it would be really cool and this idea was of a friend of mine who plays DBD, for a cosmetics for all killers and survivors to add fashionable, reserved or edgier Funeral collection depending on the character, it would make sense since the game is about dying or surviving.
Leave your thoughts and if you have any other ideas please share! Thanks!
Probably not the Jeepers Creepers killer, especially because of what happened with the actor...
-
I usually main Huntress but I also play a bit of Trapper, Ghostface, Clown and Demogorgon.
I frequently play a bit of Legion and Plague as well. I rarely play Spirit because I haven't got decent perks for her yet.

The Unleashed
-
This is one of those examples that makes me avoid playing this game. I'm not shaming you for writing this, in fact it's players like that Dwight you referenced that make me tired of dead by daylight. But as a survivor AND killer main, I get bored of facing people like this. I know it's just a game and it shouldn't be taken too seriously but a game is supposed to be about having fun, not ruining it for others.
-
I'd love to see Huntress with an eskimo cosmetic.

So for the Misc Cosmetics improvement this is what we fixed for the 3.5.2

- Fixed an issue in The Rift when selecting any Charms or any Cosmetic causing to display a preview that looks faded which is inconsistent with other areas of the application.
- Fixed an issue with The Spirit's Headband cosmetic hair models behave erratically once Yamaoka's Haunting has been channeled.
Totally irrelevant, but was you the voice of Jane?

You seem to forget the fact that survivors are also "toxic" as well. Yes, face camping isn't fun, but neither is going against a 4 man SWF just for them to harass you at the end of the game. It's unfair for both sides; I'm assuming you're a survivor main? If not then my bad, but you need to consider what's fair or not for both sides.
-
Let's be real: toxicity and playing the game are two different things. Tunneling, camping, tea-bagging and flashlight clicking are not toxic. They may be viewed as 'toxic', but they're not an act of toxicity.
An example of toxicity would be survivors who are exploiting or holding the game hostage. For the killers side, toxicity would be speed-hacking and lag-switching, which essentially just makes them appear as a sore loser.
I've never viewed looping, camping, tunnelling or tea-bagging as toxic strategies, merely because most of them are a survivor/killer's immediate instinct when playing this game. Camping sure can be annoying, but some killers forget to understand that tunnelling is also annoying for the survivor, even if they don't realize it.
So in my opinion, yes, these strategies that you consider "toxic" are not actually toxic. Yes then can be extremely annoying for some, but they're not toxic.
-
Wait they nurfed Enduring? When?
