Otz rarely tunnels and camps. He even admitted the other day it was a crappy way to play and not fair to the survivor and if killers played that way they aren't good. He was actually playing survivor and he got camped and tunneled out the game.
I keep pressure on the gens. I also use corrupt and surveillance is good too. I'm not going to ruin survivors games to camp when I can get kills without doing it. As someone who's tried to get friends into this game and they stopped because they weren't having fun being camped and tunneled and stopped playing, I'm not stooping to that low level. Seeing a survivor around the hook isn't camping either. A recently unhooked survivor running back into you also isn't tunneling.
Ive watched him do it a lot, the only time ive seen him say anything about it is hard camping the first person which is boring af and puts a ton of pressure on the team to do gens quickly and hope not even 1 persin makes a mistake.
We can go back and forth on what is and isnt camping, when i say camp and tunnel in this particular thread im using it the way survivors use it. Probably not how killers use it. You and i dont see it as camping, they do. I got called a tunneler the other day because i juggeled 2 survivors and both were out by the time 2 gens popped. I dont see that as tunneling, they sure did.

Jokes on you- that’s exactly why I give mine away at the start of the match, then pick it up way after you’ve tunneled that person out the game! 🤣
I go at the person that had it in lobby. Dont care what everyone else does :)
-
He loves mental hospitals. Part 3 showed him that :)
-
The answer is none of them. 4 different survivirs on 4 different gens right when the match starts is the most horrific thing in this game

Honestly I think it'd be a prime opportunity to inject a lot of horror into this game. Desync the model from the person playing the killer during phase and while the killer can't see it, the Spirit's model should bolt after nearby survivors for no other purpose than to disorient and scare the survivors.
I love this idea, have the husk move at like 150% speed towards the survivor. Woukd be cool af
-
When things are particularly sweaty or i feel im trying to hard, i throw on blood warden, noed, stbfl, bbq on fred and just forget about the gens. Focus on juggeling 2 then whatever happens happens. Rare i dont get at least 2. Its a mire chill way to play
-
Sometimes i play on my alt against baby killers, if they had a particularly rough game ill let them kill me at the end
-
Most games i play normal, then let the last 2 finish and go. If they escape on their own more power to them.
With this mindset though its best not to be rude since idc about winning 😂

It's just recently occurred to me how effective weaponized goodwill can be.
And by that, I mean briefly pretending to be friendly and farm.
My last game was against a Ghostface who simply couldn't close the distance on me. So when our Kate just ran over to headbutt him I guess and I desperately tried to follow behind to WMI heal her, she went down, and I was a good distance away--
Then the Ghostface stood still beside the Kate and swung toward her, looking at me. He wanted me to pick her up.. or so I thought.
In reality, when I came close to try and heal her, he attacked me. I ran back, and he immediately picked her up and killed her-- she was on her death hook.
He admitted postgame that it was a trick to get me close enough to attack. Which.. makes sense. It DID work. And I respect just going and straight-up admitting it.
Thoughts?
This is the problem. Some of the people you play with also play killer. If you do thst they arent going to forget you. Ive only seen one person do this and lets just say when they showed up in my match the next day they left a very long trail of blood from one side of thr map to the other
-
Id use thrilling or discordance over bbq. Often i do

Na, wont work, because most killers camp and tunnel anyway. So most key user won´t notice the difference.
They find out quick when they ask me why i tunneled them 😂

The counter to that counterplay is to give the key to the best runner on the team to draw the Killer into a long chase. ;)
I tunnel the person that had it in the lobby. Idc what happens to everyone else

Tunneling already happens every game, I doubt it will change anyone’s choice to bring a key or not.
Can’t believe you tunnel because someone wanted to use something that is IN THE GAME. Just dodge the lobby
Tunneling is IN THE GAME too 🤘

if you mean slugging then I get you. But if I usually hide it in the beginning, I prefer a chest. So if I go down others can hopefully find it and use it.
No. Tunneling. Doesnt counter the key, its a mindgame so the key user doesnt want to bring it again. Especially if it happens everytine they do
-

I usually hide my keys already. I placed them somewhere in the corner of the map or in a chest.
Thats why my counter is the best. The person that brings the key will absolutely not get to use it. Wish more killers took this approach, people might stop bringing keys
-
@SloppyVoldemort said:
Why you bring the faces up then, since they are different teams?
Because its a bs answer. If they can afford teams to rework faces they can afford more resources to fix bugs and balance the game. And if they cant afford both then the people reworking faces should be moved to the balance/bugs team.

with the m2, the gun. quite the inverse of a situation i guess. instead of the killer getting stunned, i guess technically the survivor would? idk.
I imagine the pallet would drop if its started cutting you off but idk

Adrenaline is one of the best perks in the game so it is fine. All the others could use a buff or changes, though hope could quickly get broken if they make it too good.
I honestly would like to see more buffs to end games perks in general. For instance, I would love if bloodwarden would trigger on the 1st hook after all gens are done, even if the doors are still closed. And the timer would only start after the gates are open (this would discourage 99% them).
End game is a very small but potentially intense part of the match so having good perks on both sides that work with it just makes it more fun in my opinion. Survivor honestly need a wider variety of end game perks as well.
I always thought exit gate progress should regress naturally if not finished

@Bran said:
im still interested in deathslinger. cause they throw the pallet down after i hit them...what would happen in that situation?
After you hit them with m1 or m2?

@Mandy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/264347/respecting-pallets
The point at which the stun occurs has not changed at all...so basically the pallet still needs to be roughly 50% dropped before the killer is stunned. So greeding for pallets can still get you hit through them if you're dropping them too late.
Ahhh alright then. That should be ok then. I guess ill see what it feels like when it comes out but i wasnt sure of the mechanics. Thanks

Basically it means that you're probably going to get hit in the head a lot more instead of getting any trades in. All in all a nerf for M1 Killers as you're going to be trained to respect pallets more which will in turn waste more of your time. I think. I'm not sure how this is going to impact the stunned at the same time as your lunge hits from Killer perspective scenario.
Going to feel a lot better as Survivor though since you're going to be able to camp pallets with more impunity.
Yeah nerfing trades is really going to hurt, respecting pallets is traditionally a bad move but yeah not sure what to do here

Several Perks?
There are exactly 3:
- Unbreakable, the obvious one.
- Soul Guard, if the Killer does not have a Hex, this Perk does not do anything. And a Killer who wants to slug from the start and one-hook everyone will not run Hexes.
- No Mither, come on... This has the big "Pick me up"-sign.
Wglf too, We'll make it if the person did a recent unhook. Med kits if they have one. Tenacity. Theres all kinds of stuff centered around being slugged.

But then what about Save the Best for Last ? I actually have no idea if after you kill the obsession and that you gain one (by getting DSed gof example) does the perk activate again ?
It will reactivate but youve lost your stacks (on furtive chase, not stbfl). Im going off memories from long ago so could be wrong but pretty sure
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
Think what you will of Furtive Chase. This discussion isn’t about whether you think it’s a good perk or a bad perk.
I just want the stupid condition gone whereby the perk deactivated once the Obsession is dead because it’s so easy to accidentally kill the Obsession when it becomes difficult remembering whether the current Obsession is on death hook or not with all the Obsession switching.
I understand what you mean as ive been there too. When it happens i remember it wasnt doing much for me anyway

I believe most killers who complain about gen speeds are the ones who either face camp or proxy camp you instead of actually trying to pressure gens early on in the match. Of course gens arent gonna pop when you dont even try to pressure them.
Thats why they think it's ok to use the excuse I only camped becuz of the gens. Not saying everyone does this, but I feel most do.
Just my opinion though.
I dont start camping/tunneling till the survivors have the gens going at break neck speed. So your theory is already shot in the foot.
Theres 2 reasons why gens feel so fast. Spawns, and nothing else for the survivors to do. You always spawn in 5 feet from a gen, that means as soon as the game starts youre working one. Lets be really generous and say it takes 10 seconds to find the first survivor. That means 30 seconds of generator time is already gone (10x3 survivors). Then i have an amazing chase that only takes 30 seconds. Thats really fast for a first chase running an m1 killer btw. Thats another 90 seconds gone (120 total). It only takes 400 seconds to do gens. So in really great circumstances, the survivors already have more than a quarter of their objective complete.
Now imagine if it took me 30 seconds to find the first survivor, and imagine that survivor was decent and it took me 60 seconds to down them (which isnt unlikely in reds). 90x3 is 270 out of 400.
If the survivors didnt spawn on gens, and they had to do something before they could work gens, this wouldnt happen and you would absolutely see less camping/tunneling. It wouldnt disappear though unfortunately.

8 hours to hit 1m bp?
I dunno what kinda stuff yer on but i want some of that lol
At minimum. it can take between 1-3 hours of playing, with bbq and cakes stacked
I meant not during event when youve got 5 cakes being run. Just regular normal games. Weird i thought that would be pretty obvious

@Dino7281 said:
I am not sure I would buff mending time. Players would not be happy about this one, it is just boring and it wouldn't help Legion that much anyway.
You don't really want them to get mangeled or broken, because you want them to heal. They waste time healing, when it is so easy for you to injure them. Anything that would discouraged from it is not good for Legion.
If I understand that correctly that hits are only chain, right? I don't know about you, but to get 3 chain hits is pretty rare. There is not reason for them to heal, because you will not be able to get that many chain hits, unless you buff duration and speed of Frenzy.
Those changes above are not great imo, but Fatigue, bloodhound, better duration and m1 no longer lowers FF would be great.
We did up the FF duration, i mentioned it there in the post. But you can always have it down the 4th person hit during FF. Increasing the duration, especially during late game will increase the odds of you getting 4 or 5, if you hit 4 even once theyre going to want to heal imo, but increasing the speed would probably be good too. Like 2% increase every hit you land or something. Once they want to heal mangeled will hurt them.
I think it would work pretty great. 5 is pretty rare but i hit 3 or 4 every game, multiple times. I think if you hit 3 its going to make people want to heal, you hit 5 once they wont stop healing. Especially late game.

Trust me plenty of people on that I think are console are crashing out in my games.
I know its a crash out as the most recent one for me was a survivor permanently stuck in the portal sealing animation long after the portal was destroyed and even when getting slapped by demo before they "Disconnected" aka crashed out.
Im not saying crashes dont still happen. What i am saying is i was heavily effected by the crashes on console and i havent crashed in a week except once or twice during loading. Im sure it still hapoens, i doubt its happening as often

@gendoss said:
With what's going on with consoles I would just assume most DCs are not purposeful.

Honestly if you know what youre doing and have bbq you can get 1 million in 8 hours or so. Its really not that bad.
Whats bad is having to do that across several characters that youre either going to buy or hoard shards for on top of earning the bps for all of them just to get a decent build
And like i said you have to know what youre doing, noobies dont making it harder

No I've been playing for 3 years and I almost never leave rank 1 lol. Literally the only people who use NOED are people who are rank 15. Is that what you are?
I too have been playing for 3 years and almost never leave rank 1. I run noed all the time 😁 one of my fav builds is noed + bloidwarden + stbfl + bbq on fred. Just ignore the gens and juggle, its fun :)
