Killers get mad when they're intelligence is insulted by smart survivors. Keep thriving dude.
Goes both ways I can't even count how many survivors who acted like hot $h!t instantly DC if I out maneuver them and down them, or if there are 2 people left and 1 is just hiding waiting for other to die to get hatch and I down other but not hook then end up finding the hider to and downing them.
-
how about a chest that is blocked by the entity somewhere on the map and in the chest is a key to open the hatch but the chest won't become unblocked until there is only 1 survivor left and 3 or less gens remaining, true you could say the killer could head straight for that chest and it would be the same game as before or instead of it being blocked by the entity the whole game the chest doesn't spawn until there is 1 survivor left and 3 or less gens then the killer and survivor are looking for this chest and if the survivor does find it it isn't like digging through a normal chest, they just run up hit one button and it opens and they get the key but then they still gotta find the hatch and killers can counter this by using up a perk slot to run franklin's demise if they are worried about a hatch stand off. I'm sure there has beens similar ideas but this would give more activity in this particular type end game scenario.

Apologies. I found another post similar to this one and Ill repost here what I ranted on about there.
So, it doesnt seem to be as popular as an opinion. Having not played The plague, but watching from the perspective of both survivor and killer. I can see the up sides and down sides. As a killer, its ez cheese squeeze ville with her bile.
But, heres my issue.
The ludicrous range she has for it and freedom of aiming, which when activating the ability doesnt seem to slow her, by any means. Not only does she have her base form of status effects, but it can get better with each corrupted fountain? And in a means, it eventually hurts survivors. Ranged killers are one thing, but having that freedom to aim and suffering no penalty from missing. (Again, from what I saw) is really, REALLY. SOMETHING. Especially when the 'infected' mechanic produced is that of what Legion has, but more effective. Like what was I watching m8. They took the range of huntress, added an infinite cone spray, status crap of clown boi, legions mechanic. What other creme of the crop have I missed?
I think the idea for an infected killer is a wonderful twist and it ups the difficulty of surviving this killer. Something that the game is frequently starved of. But to what end?
I am positive, absolutely positive that theres more to her endless scale of "This is what the ability does". But where does it start and where does it end? Does her bile effect gens, hooks, downed survivors, hanging survivors, walls, floors, etc. What does it not do EFFECTICELY?
SORRY FOR MY RANT. This killer just screams of Survivor abuse. And "EZ mode".
I am also a killer main.
-End of rant. Correct me on anything that needs to be.
as a survivor main i am tired of every powerful killer getting nerfed just because entitled survivors feel that they should be able to escape every round and if they get killed then the killer must be OP, they gripe instead of just learning new tactics and and ADAPTING, they don't wanna adapt they just want it be easy. I play survivor all the time and i am tired of escaping 9/10 matches, this new killer has me excited because i miss the days when there was more uncertainty about escaping a match or not, this killer brings a way to slow down a match in a fun and challenging way and i am all for the challenge, and the moment she goes on sale on ps4 i will be going in as survivor like crazy to learn how to adapt against the killer, but if they nerf her then its pointless she will become another low/mid tier killer. I know not all survivors are entitled people that feel they should win all the time and i know there are others like me that welcome a good challenge, and as powerful as she is i see people beating her left and right on the ptb and i think she is quite balanced the only things i would change is that loud notification when a survivor cleanses themselves and maybe not let her infect hooked or downed survivors, other than that i say leave her powers alone and bring on the challenge, even if i only survive 1/10 matches for a while i can't wait cuz actually having a good challenge is what this game is about! :) bring it on.

at least you can't just dc over and over to depip like you could before that was ridiculous

Nope. Right now, you can have 3 survivors working on generators at any given time, assuming the one guy being chased knows how to exploit hitboxes, I mean loop, and the killer (character) can't counter that exploit, I mean perfectly legitimate tactic. This means that 5 generators can be repaired in two sets (3+2). 6 generators, likewise, can be repaired in two sets (3+3), so the minimum time is unchanged. If the number of generators is not a multiple of the number of survivors on them, then the repair time is unchanged.
On the other hand, if you increase the number of generators, you're screwing over the newbies. It's too much for them to handle. Adding more generators is simply not going to work.
what if they could implement 5 gens for rank 10-20 and 6 gens for rank 1-9? @Orion

lol a year ago people were saying WE NEED ORIGINAL CONTENT!!! WE ARE TIRED OF LICENSED CONTENT!!! now i see many people saying WE NEED LICENSED CONTENT!! WE ARE TIRED OF ORIGINAL CONTENT!!! :) the every 3 month dlc thing is actually staying at least through chapter 14 and i bet one of them is licensed, i'd love to have pinhead but give him alternate skins to switch between the different cenobites from the first hellraiser :)

Performing exploits to ruin other’s gameplay, ban raiding, naming and shaming, and rude behavior towards how other’s play is bannable, things that he has done.
exactly, and he always finds a way back in smh

Never heard of this Ochido ... but being toxic is bannable now?
no not the toxicity but he constantly exploits the games and stuff like that

would changing the amount of gens make a difference? like having to repair 6 gens instead of 5 and having 8 on the map instead of 7?

@DwikeyMain84 this post is gonna get closed, but it will lead to a VAC ban and if possible, IP ban I believe
ok, well i didn't see anything in the rules about asking this sorta question, only been on this forum for like a week i think so My Bad, i was just curious.
-
did you even read the end of my post? i was using him as an example i am asking how this perma ban thing works cuz it seems like everyone just goes around it, and Ochido is a very toxic player that spreads toxicity through the community, when he is trolling/juking he talks about how the game is amazing then when a killer gets him he whines about the game being horrible. he will be killer and see someone exploiting the game and say he will report them and hope they get banned then when he is survivor he does the same thing, his picture is next to the word hypocrisy in the dictionary, but i digress if you read my original post above you would see Ochido was merely an example i was using to ask my question. thank you for replying by the way.
-
i am not naming names and i myself am a survivor main but i think the biggest problem most players have with the game is they just can't handle losing every once in a while, they think they should be able to live every single match or kill all 4 players and if they aren't able to it has nothing to do with their skill it has to do with one side or the other being way too OP or because people chose to dc or kill themselves on the hook.....this isn't the sorta game where it is normal to win every single match perfectly, heck even if i die i feel like i won if i end up with more BP than the killer lol
-
waiting another day or 2 is nothing compared to how long console had to wait to play clown and kate......wow that was something else
-
maybe they are new and thought they can insta heal 2x lol
-
Mclean was Lead designer on this chapter i believe and he has such great vision, he has been part of some of the best chapters ( he did not work on legion btw ) so i am hyped for this chapter, usually i am most excited about perks but we have needed a new female killer and female survivor and another inside map and boom we got all 3 :)
-
Exactly! thank you, the devs knew what they were doing when they decided for 4 perk slots and no matter how many perks get added 4 slots is still more than enough to build up a set of perks that will help you through most situations

The most useless build for killer in the world:
The Pig
- Insidious
- Tinkerer
- Overwhelming pressence
- Monitor & Abuse
I challenge you to make a worse build for any concrete killer
Here is my answer to your challenge for a worse build than your pig build:
Michael Myers:
Distressing
Monitor and Abuse
shadowborn
Thrill of the Hunt
Add ons: Tombstone and Scratched Mirror
Offering: Greatly Thicken the Dark mist :)
Now a good build for Mikey is:
Monitor and Abuse+Dying LIght+Thanatophobia+Overcharge
Journal page + dead rabbit
Reg Offering: Ebony Mori (with M/A and Dead Rabbit you can sneak up and hook then sneak up and kill but if you don't want to mori anyone then play a map offering for wrecker yard or mcmillan for easy stalkability of survivors and good areas to sneak up on them at)
M/A plus dead rabbit give you almost no terror radius in EW1 and EW2 and the other three perks help slow down the gen work while you sneak up and take out the survivors one at a time :)
-
yes the new map hypes me more than new killer and survivor, the map and perks are what i am excited for most :)

Woah u started to get it! Congrats
More perks = more choices to the point it will be impossible to make a complete build, frustrating
i make a complete build everytime i have played for 3 years and do just fine in the game without the need for extra perks, sure sometimes i wish i could run certain perks together but doing so would make me as a survivor way stronger than i need to be as a survivor, it shouldn't be an easy game and right now with a 4 perk build you can wreck a killer if you do it correctly, i honestly get a vibe that you just want to be a stronger survivor and you think you need xtra perks to beat killers more often. If it ain't broke don't fix it and the survival/death ratio is perfectly fine right now and as a survivor main i honestly think i survive a lot more than i should be but because of certain perk builds it gives me huge upperhands in certain scenarios and that is with 4 perks, if i had even more then i would be way to OP in those same scenarios even if killers had the same amount of perk builds. sorry man, IQ has nothing do with knowing that the perk system is perfectly fine, sorry you are frustrated and have a hard time deciding which perks you want but adding perk slots does not fix the game or help it in any way other than making your decision making easier. Again there is a reason that NOONE is really agreeing with you. So to answer the question from the title of this post: YES

i was watching mclean, he didn't say for sure if freddy was or wasn't getting a rework announced tomorrow but he did say that tomorrows stream is really just about the new chapter.....i dont remember the exact thing he said but i am not getting my hopes up for a freddy buff announcment though i really would like one.....but still i wouldn't care if he stayed the way he is now as long as he had a red and GREEN sweater and a Robert Englund design as freddy lol :) but i am excited about the new map and perks

I don't buy it @TAG also
The number of perks it is directly related to the number of slots
I can get better builds with new bigger combinations of perks currently can't, and will be bigger with the increase of perks
Example 1: now you have unnerving presence + distressing like a typical dual combo, as typical dual combos there are many others. With the new perks more combos will appear making no room for the essentials
Example 2: in 5yrs you will have 20 perks for building a sprinter build vs the 7 you have now, logic
Example 3: new perks bring new needs, for instance, new perks to fight back, steal items, craft items.. will make impossible to combine enough of them for a build with just 4 slots
I dont know why I need to explain this so much, for me its clear as water
i'm sure for hitler his plan for his "better world" was clear as water in his own mind now but doesn't make it a good idea again sorry. there is a reason you seem to be the only person in this thread that thinks we need more perk slots lol. It just seems like you "want" a stronger build to do better in the game that is really the vibe i am getting.
-
wow my comment magically disappears? Kid you need to finish high school before telling people to complete or repeat high school. Your math argument does not hold water cuz when this game came out the 4 perk slots were never based on how many perks the game had so it doesn't matter how many we have now cuz the devs never looked at perks as "ok we have x amount of perks so we need y amount of perk slots" they looked at the ability to put perk builds together that weren't to op or weak and even with all the perks we have now there are a lot of perks that can be put into the same categories as other perks so basically you just gotta mix match until you find what works for you, you an either have 4 perks from different categories or 4 perks from the same type of category or do what most people do and experiment until you find a perk build that suits your playstyle. I am sorry that you feel you need more than 4 perks to be good at this game and succeed but just be patient try different builds until you find one that works for you and i think you will see that you don't really "NEED" more than 4 perk slots and the game was never intended for more than 4 perk slots and that is the reason your math argument doesn't hold water kiddo sorry.

Dude repeat high school
maybe finish high school then tell people to repeat it themselves kid, just cuz there are more perks does not mean there needs to be more slots, the math argument doesn't hold water cuz the devs didn't give us four perk slots at the start based on how many perks there were in the beginning, the devs weren't saying okay we have x amount of perks so based on that we will give survivors y amount of perk slots lol they gave us 4 slots because that is enough slots to mix match perks within to build a fair build, having 122 perks doesn't change that logic, regardless of how many there are they all can be put into categories where as certain perks have stuff in common with other perks etc etc, so really nothing has changed, you got 4 slots you can mix match categories or you can fill up that build with 4 perks from the same category. but your math argument doesnt work cuz it was never based on the number of perks vs perk slots to begin with so stop humiliating people and just work on getting a better build and getting better at the game and then you won't feel the need to have more than 4 perk slots to do better in the game.

Nope it does matter; if now you have 7 perks to choose 4 for a "second chance" build, is not the same as if you have 17 (after 122 perks) for the same "second chance" build
why do you need a 2nd chance build? why is your first build not working?
-
@BACKSTABBER said:

You still dont get it
Do you still want 4 perk slots if you have 5000 to choose? If so, why? My brain is so limited
cuz it isn't about how many perks you run its about how you choose your "perk build" doesn't mattter if there is a million perks to choose from the point is to pick 4 of them any 4 of them for a particular play style you are going for, the perks aren't meant to guarantee you a win or make you a God. Just cuz there are more perks to choose from doesn't change the fact that the point is to pick 4 perks that you believe go together well and will help you out in your match.
-
i would say max 5 perk slots anything more than that and you are looking at way to op perk builds 5 is already pushing it for survivors. I think it would be neat if each killer had 4 perk slots they could use any perk in hex or otherwise and one bonus perk slot that can only be used for a hex perk only....just a thought
-
I hope the new killer's name is Oliver Patrick so people can always say he is OP
-
yea sorry the killer was in the right here, though most times a 3 gen strat happens cuz the survivors don't pay attention to what gens they are doing but with a swf you can get around a 3 gen strat if you just do it right, have 1 player go for one of the protected gens and as soon as the killer goes after them to hit them the other 3 start on one of the other 3 gens and do as much as they can before the other player gets downed. whats that? you say he won't commit to a chase so they don't get downed? okay then don't take off running away from the gens when he hits you instead try go get him to chase you around that gen cuz every second you buy the other 3 players is worth it, most killers in this scenario won't chase you off to the other side of the map but they also won't turn down a chance to slug you if you stay close and once you are downed 1 of 2 things happen either the killer takes the time to hook you buying your team even more time on that gen or he chases off your teammates and you crawl to them and get healed and the team then rinses and repeats until one of the gens are on :) Also as a survivor main that 9/10 matches we end up getting all the gens on before a killer has a kill or just 1 kill has been completed then i can understand this trapper deciding to protect the 3 gens from the beginning, the people playing killer paid for this game to and want to enjoy this game to and just like your objective is to escape their objective is to stop you from escaping at all costs so i gotta side with the killer on this one and it isn't holding game hostage cuz like i explained and others have as well there are ways to get around this if you are willing to take certain chances and gambles.

regardless of who gets what offerings there should be a purple and yellow offering for lessening the mist IMHO if there is a way to considerably and moderately thicken the mist then there should be the same to lessen it.....but what do i know

would be nuts if they went the route they did on freddy and pig and there is no ptb and the monday stream is them rolling out the dlc for all platforms and showing the showcase trailer for the new chapter........and then i wake up to reality.

Sorry man, whoever gets downed by a blind chainsaw sprint in the first 10 seconds is absolute garbage and should go back to rank 20 and learn the basics.
na i disagree with this and that is an arrogant thing to say, i have seen some of the best survivors in this game playing and when a match starts they have the bad luck of spawning in the wrong place and by the time billy is there it is too late for them to really have a defense or do anything and they get downed, it is not cuz they are garbage it is just bad luck but with that being said you can't say a killer isnt balance based on bad luck so i do agree that Billy is quite balanced.
-
i thought of a hex perk idea called "stockholm syndrome" it is kind of a mix between Blood warden and NOED. As soon as an exit gate is open the entity automatically blocks one of the 2 exits like blood warden (at random) and the exit stays blocked for as long as the hex totem stands and also puts everyone into the exposed effect for x amount of time or until hex is destroyed. This would make end game a little more tense and survivors would have to weigh out their decision to stick around just tbag the killer or stick around to take hits or wait by hatch, etc etc.... and the name is perfect for it lol :)
-
the main change we need is a license agreement for a green and red sweater and the classic robert englund design do that and i don't care what you do with his powers and perks/add ons :)
-
i still stand by this as the new killer's power :) https://youtu.be/4In8wOZreGQ?t=24
