Dark Carnival or Parish from Left 4 Dead
-
@lagosta It can be clutch running those perks against a Killer that's fixated on tunneling because you can afford to run in and take that protection hit and hopefully lose them in order to heal back up without the use of an item. Speaking of items, these perks free up your item slot to bring a flashlight or map since Killer's love their Ruin/Undying combo so much.
-
Some farm matches carried the funniest moments I've seen in this game. Ever see Clown (Mr.Puddles) do 'Happy Feet' racing 4 slugs out the gate? (Damn Kate had Tenacity...cheater)
Point is, they're as fun as you make it..the same can be said for the game in general, but only in farm matches can you freely just meme around doing whatever.
-
I only nod with Trapper when someone steps into a trap...then I give em a pat on the back with my machete.
-
Agreed, I hate the current meta on both sides...Survivor meta encourages aggressive and toxic behavior and the Killer meta is just dull and uninteractive. Anyway, I like to run Self Care, Botany, Desperate Measures and Resilience for a healing build, when everyone is injured you can infinitely heal at the same speed of a normal medkit, which is awesome for 99ing to get that Resilience value on a gen until you find someone to heal.
-
As far as gameplay goes, it's a tie between Mikey and Trapper but Hag is right below them on my list. A lot of people fall for me playing dumb with Trapper and start to think they can bully me. That's when I start laughing as they run right into a trap I've been pushing them towards.
Myers is cool because Halloween (though the storyline is a huge mess) is my favorite slasher series and he's so versatile in-game. Hag is super fun to play as well, with how short she is, you can easily disappear from chases only to start another one elsewhere until everyone is injured and wondering where the hell you are.
@SweetbutaPsycho The Plague (Adiris) was chosen by the Entity I think mainly because she was so devoted to her faith that it unintentionally blinded her to the truth.
-
Figured this thread would've blown up way more with as many entitled Killer mains that complain while rudely shutting down any Survivor that says otherwise.
-
@Raccoon I'm not wrong though, people that put this build on a high mobility Killer really have to try to not 4k. I know DS, Unbreakable, SG is the Survivor equivalent meta crutch build, but I see the Killer build WAY more often. Minimal effort for high gains...pretty sad, it's like you dont want to actually play the game but rather have it played for you. When I play Killer, I actually enjoy stomping holes in gens and finding the culprit touching em to give em a good swat. Playing Survivor, it's Ruin, Undying ,Tinkerer 8 times out of 10.
-
Ruin, Undying,Tinkerer...youhave your hand held the entire match
-
Why don't you just camp, tunnel and slug like everyone else?
-
Int3r4ct's channel on youtube is pretty handy for learning in depth about killer addons and decent builds
-
Never ran this combo, never will. It's easy crutch mode and flatout boring. Did you know Undying works well with other hexes too? Retribution is a good example, you get a ton of info out of it and can pressure the right areas. I generally don't run hexes anyway, rng for a perk slot is too much of a gamble and I'd rather have perks that can indefinitely last the whole trial.
-
Let me elaborate a little more, I'm picturing bigger pools such as people level 0-500, 501-1000 and so on...not exact equals
-
@Eleghost You act like I don't play the game...queue times aren't that bad for me honestly but I solo queue 99.9% of the time so that may be a factor. I don't think it would make anything worse than it is and feel you're being a little too dramatic
-
@bjorksnas Well, theoretically, the more time you spend doing something, the more you learn
-
Because devotion level is a more accurate measurement of your game knowledge...it's way too easy to rank up just being a potato. Getting matches with people that share the roughly the same amount of play time would be way better than what we have now.
-
'4 stuns in a match' was the only one I had difficulty with, luckily ran into a Pyramidhead that already won the match and I was the last one left, so I just asked them if I could get it. Tried for quite awhile using ds (which I don't like using) and head on, but that usually lead to being hard tunneledand camped. Most Killers know how to play around pallets in higher ranks and makes it harder to do
-
@BattleCast Tried your Survivor build out and it actually works pretty well if you don't get tunneled out! Had quite a few fun matches with it! I run Botany/Self Care/Desperate Measures/Resilience when I feel like just messing around. When everyone is injured, you heal as fast as a normal medkit, but I usually 99 it for Resilience value and heal others before finishing
-
@AggressiveFTW If he had normal lunge while in T1, it wouldn't be that bad and increase his stalk gain. The ability to go back into T1 would be awesome too! Imagine the stealth plays you could get with him. They'd have to remove the cap on stalking too, which I would be cool with.
-
His tier 1 is fine, with the exception of the baby lunge
-
I used Agitation and Iron Grasp, that way if they hopped in a locker I could drag them out to a dead zone and chase em down again when they wiggle free. Was like pulling teeth getting this one, but so relieving to get it done.
-
I just wish Undying had its aura reveal taken away, respawning a hex is powerful enough on its own..especially since people really only seem to pair it with Ruin. I think Undying is awesome with Retribution but everyone just wants to make the game as boring as possible with Ruin. It takes little effort from the Killer to chase people off gens and are massively rewarded for it. I play solo queue and facing this build is just flatout boring as hell. When I play Killer, I like to create my own builds and see what works...there's over 90 perks to choose from people, use your imagination instead of relying on the stale crutch meta.
-
I've been enjoying the combination of Opression, Dragons Grip and Pop lately. Especially when Survivor's 3-gen themselves...really potent and almost always turns into a hatch game in my experience. Gearhead has always just seemed kinda 'meh' to me and haven't really used it to fairly evaluate is usefulness or lack thereof.
-
☝This guy gets it
-
@PassarinoT I wasn't implying that this would be the 'end all' band-aid fix, just a small QoL change
-
@PassarinoT How many people say she doesn't have much counterplay other than Iron Will? This could change that...and like you said, it's very situational and highly risky on the Survivor's part so it's not like this would absolutely destroy her. The longest you could have charges on a flashlight is 30 seconds tops (with Streetwise and Built to last) which adds a cap on countering her and you would need to dedicate a build to this. Also, which Killers are completely countered by an Item? You can see Trapper's and Hag's traps with a map, burn Hag's traps and then Wraith and Nurse (VERY hard to do) can be lightburned...but that's it, you make it sound like all Killers are bullied by items when that's definitely untrue.
-
Sorry you didn't get my point? Each side has perks they view as 'boring' but to the user, it's complimentary to their playstyle.
-
It's also boring going against every Killer that runs Ruin/Undying
-
@Withered8 Pretty sure that was sarcasm
-
Honestly, can't wait for the Freddy re-rework. Now that Ruin/Undying is the new boring meta, Freddy mains REALLY don't have to use their brains to outplay Survivors. I hope the passive sleep timer is just completely done away with along with his slowdown addons. No other Killer has slowdown addons that just passively work; Huntress, Billy and Bubba all have to hit with their abilities to get use out of them.
-
Yeah, still kind of a measly 'gift' but the month isn't even halfway over yet and they'll probably increase the gifts as Xmas draws nearer. We'll see though.
-
You got Iridescent shards, not bp 😉👍
-
All these drama queens crying about keys...two word's for ya: FRANKLIN'S DEMISE.
-
I don't see countering Victor with a locker as a problem at all, that's one Survivor not hammering out a gen. His Killer Instinct tracking can give you an idea where they went off to as well. The hitbox on his pounce is incredibly generous and his speed is crazy good. The only change I would see fit would be the holding lockers shut for like 5 seconds and from there, Charlotte would need to use her tracking skills or pressure another Survivor
-
Bloodlust is absolutely not needed, if you decide to chase someone for 45 seconds around the same tile, that's on you. As killer, you're supposed to pressure Survivors off the one objective they have, not stubbornly pursue one person until they are down. Hit the Survivor once and if they're in a disadvantageous spot, put em down and hang em up. The time they spend healing is time they aren't doing a gen more often than not and you then have time to apply pressure elsewhere.
-
Lol 'earned win/escape'...nothing is entitled to anyone in this game, yet people feel the need to go that extra mile to ease their fragile ego...the stem of toxicity.
-
@RaingerPlaysDBD You are correct, those all award Survival points as well. It is the most difficult category to max out and you have to go way out of your way do so most times. The green and yellow suture/needle addons for medkits also help if you can hit great skill checks regularly or use Stake Out like in Otz's video
-
@chieften333 DS and Deliverance also award Survival points, but healing yourself is the easiest way. Escaping as the obsession gives you an extra 1000 bp too. Otz made a video on youtube a couple weeks ago if you wanna check it out
-
@Boddy604 In my experience with it you either want to fake the locker and Q&Q into another one or flatout dip after faking, because they generally catch on to what you're doing pretty quick. But your combo might be pretty cool too, I'll try it out!
-
Used it to save myself a few times and it's kinda like DS in that, the Killer gets butthurt that you hit em with it and tunnels you out of the game even though it's a one-time use perk that can be easily avoided. Admittedly, I'm not the best looper but yeah, it's got me killed more than helped me. Deception is the best of Èlodie's perks imo if you run it with Q&Q and Head On...really messes with Spirit and other strong Killers lol
-
@DemonDaddy What an entitled post, if someone is about to enter struggle phase and sees their team is doing nothing productive, I don't blame em one bit for just ending their match in hopes of finding competent teammates next round.
@TheButcher Killers can act just as entitled, it's just usually in the form of facecamping, hitting people on hook or tunneling because they decided to chase the same person for 4 gens; so enough with the us vs. them, it's truly pathetic...people are people.
Babatom and Withered8 pretty much summed up my thoughts on this thread otherwise but man, this thread just reeks of entitlement, I'm gonna go barf now.
-
One I've been enjoying is Dragon's Grip, Trail of Torment, Pop Goes the Weasel and Tinkerer along with whatever addons I feel like using (generally Slow Release Toxin and Face Mask, though). Being undetectable without crouching is pretty handy to swoop in close before setting up your ambush and applying pressure in the right areas.
-
@TAG I think you're so against this because you're someone who enjoys being toxic. With a limit and maybe video footage of offender in question, this could actually be a good thing. But again, what was I thinking suggesting something to encourage people to not play like dbags? There's a huge difference between skill and blatant toxicity
-
@TAG For 7 whole days, oh the humanity..🙄
-
@Echorion If you'd scroll down from that tag and read, you'd see that was added to the suggestion. It's funny, you people act like people don't already abuse stuff in this game and this suggestion would tarnish it's pristine reputation.
-
@TAG You're right, what was I thinking suggesting something that would encourage sportsmanship to a toxic community.
-
@TAG I have considered it before starting to post, maybe people will realize 'Hey, people don't like when I'm toxic, maybe I should show a little sportsmanship' when they have longer queues. One can dream though, I forget alot of the community revels in their toxicity and understand why they wouldn't want a feature like this though.
-
@TAG But they are entirely different genres of games with smaller teams, I just mentioned it as a base example...comparing the two games in the way you are is apples to oranges
-
@EvilJoshy Not trying to be rude, but it says in the title what I'm suggesting, nothing permanent and with limitations.
