He’s bugged as all hell. We have literally never seen Wesker working as intended yet, so I’m not going to make any calls about his strength just yet.

Pretty sure otz said on stream it doesn’t
Pretty sure I’ve actually played and it does

I’ve never understood why people think Slinger is a “worse Huntress” when they play differently

I really don’t want to see people thirst over a war criminal

9/10, 10/10 without bugs

Happy to see a post like this. It seems like some people are having trouble with his reduced hit box size. But so far, I also think he is such an amazing designed killer, and that's because he is so fun to play as and go against. And I think his hit box is pretty much perfect the way it is.
Just generally an incredibly well designed killer, that allows for a great amount of mindgames and counterplay, on both sides.
His hitbox might be fine, depends whether or not it’s bugged. The whole going through survivors thing makes me think it is.

You purchase cosmetics to get the others. More details can be found in the news page in game. They list out which ones you get for how many cosmetics you buy.
Okay thanks. Do the colors depend on what you buy or are they random?
-
I still don’t know how these work. I have one Vial and it’s the green one from getting the chapter in steam. I don’t know how to get the others.

I noticed thay you captured in the video something I've been experiencing a lot with Wesker. At 22 seconds in, he just goes through Bill. I've constantly dashed through survivors with my first dash which seems like the hit box may be too small now. I've eventually just stopped using the dash to attack because its useless.
And before anyone says anything about my internet, I have 1 Gbps internet and never had connection/speed/packet loss issues.
It’s definitely not an internet issue. My internet may not be the best but I’ve seen clips of this happening to people who I know have a far better connection.
I’ve also noticed that the game didn’t show I had any bad ping or packet loss before this patch. On the PTB (when they implemented showing bad ping or packet loss in-game) it said everything was fine for me.

I think sometimes it's small height differences, it can be a slope or even a slight bump that'll just screw you over massively. It's pretty embarassing this even got to live.
It wasn’t even a thing on PTB which makes me think that it’s somehow caused by his hitbox. Just speculation though
-
I’m pretty sure that survivors won’t take damage if they’re close to a pallet or window when you vault over it. This was supposed to be fixed after the patch they put out post PTB.
-
So far I’ve gotten use out of his power at:
-Killer Shack
-Pallet gyms
-LT walls
-4 Lanes
But the most value of all has come from using it to catch up to a survivor after a pallet break. The distance you gain is good enough to make it worthwhile, but I don’t know if this will remain a good strategy in the long run.

Can you grab some video of this happening to you if possible? It will help to see exactly what's going on. Thank you.
0:09 has what I’m talking about in specific, but in the rest of the video you can see various other issues.
It applies to cases where you would slam the survivor as well, not just throws.
(Thank you @SadLegion for allowing me to use the footage.)
-
Do you mind if i use this video to help provide footage for a bug report?

What do you mean you don’t wanna see Meg hit the griddy after stunning you with a pallet
oh hell no imagine all 4 survivors hitting a griddy as they leave the trial
-
Uh I’ve just been going for Adept but I think I’m All Ears would be good on him
-
Yeah it’s really buggy but he’s cool

@Man_of_triangles said:
Wesker might actually be the worst killer in the entire game right now.
That’s not really a fair assessment though, since he’s almost unplayably buggy. It’s like pointing at a guy in a wheelchair and saying “You. You are the worst runner here.”
I also believe his hitbox is bugged, because of how he sometimes goes right through survivors.
-
His power is laggy and often doesn’t even injure survivors that you slam with it because he just drops them for no reason.
He goes straight through survivors sometimes when he dashes into them.
His bound hitbox is microscopic.
Otherwise he’s very fun :D
-
Same here!
if only he didn’t have so many bugs

The difference between Dragons Grip and Blast mine, With DG you dont have to activate it first by doing something up 66%, you jsut need to kick the gen. With Blast mine, we can only plant it once we repair a gen 66% first then we have a single Blast mine to plant.
Good point.

Are you claiming survivors have zero agency in chase? Or are you not aware that time is extremely relative in this game, and delays can completely change things? Or even that a killer can down a survivor and then have their hook denied through multiple means? Enough of this "only i'm allowed to, and here's a list of reasons why" stuff, both sides have the ability to prevent perk activation/usage/impact from the other, that isn't anything that hasn't plagued both sides for years.
If your comparison point is dragon's grip you're focusing way too hard on the fact it involves kicking a gen and setting a trap than you are the literally anything else.
I see why you thought I’m saying that survivors don’t have agency in chase, but I’m only acknowledging that the killer ALSO has agency in a chase. That does not mean survivors don’t.
Yes, a killer can have a hook denied. But you’re missing my point. I am not saying that blast mine’s problem is that the killer has the ability to deny it. My point is that BY DESIGN, the survivor cannot control if you get value from the perk or not. That’s why I compared it to dragon’s grip as well. The killer can’t control if the survivors will work on the generator before the duration expires, and i wouldn’t mind seeing be changed to how blast mine used to be, as well as Blast Mine being reverted of course.

That is an extremely pidgeonholed comparison. Using your own logic, the killer can't use BBQ unless a survivor messes up enough to get downed and hooked. Not only are they both common occurrences in normal play, if killers are kicking gens then they are not facecamping a hook which is something you shouldn't exactly want to discourage with game design. If killers got flashbanged every time they kicked a gen, they'd just stop kicking them and facecamp as bubba instead. Especially since Reassurance is apparently so abysmally awful that people refuse to use it :)
No, because a survivor getting downed and hooked is influenced by the killer’s skill.
Using Blast Mine is like fishing. You press the button, wait, and hope for the best. I’m not comparing BBQ to Blast Mine, instead I’m trying to contrast them. If you want a comparison, I think Dragon’s Grip would be the best thing to compare it to.

A large number of killer perks have direct counterplay that can completely nullify them. BBQ alone has half a dozen ways to actively deny it, which is part of why it lost so much of its value when the BP got removed. Hex perks can be deleted before the killer can even run to them in a straight line if spawns are bad enough, there's nothing preventing them from being disabled by the other side before they gain any value.
Killer perks can be countered, yes. However, their value is dependent on the actions of the killer. To get BBQ value, you need to get hooks. To get Devour Value, you need to meet the conditions to get tokens.
To get Blast Mine value, you have to hope that the killer will decide to kick the gen. You don’t have a say in if the perk itself activates.

@Adjatha said:
Every killer perk that activates, has no effect, and deactivates has the same cooldown or activation requirements as it did initially. Why should survivor perks be able to get refunded until you get a use out of it?
Because the value you get from those perks isn’t controlled by the other side.
-
Isn’t there an addon for that

Threw Legion in just to add Joey is also a character I simp for...and I've just realised four of my top five all have J as the first letter of their name.
Guess people with J at the start of their name are just born hot.
Joey is irrefutably S tier

Bubba and Nemesis off the top of my head

It’s Weskering time

This is great and all but you’re not allowed to discuss leaks on the forums

PC makes a lot of killers easier and I’m not playing a PowerPoint presentation which is nice.
-
He has one. Get a better headset or turn your volume up.
-
Legion and Hag.
Legion keeps the survivors injures and chases them right into Hag’s web.
Plague and Oni would work great, especially since they both have powerful snowball abilities.
-
Old BT, which Wraith and Freddy could bypass.
-
If he was standing in tall grass, it was probably because of that. A similar kind of thing happens with corn on coldwind.

Why do people always end their sentences with three periods… it’s really confusing… is it just a habit or a trend…
-
I don’t want to remember it.

Licensing deals with BHVR require the DLC to be paid-only, so that the owners of the IP can get some of the sales. There’s not really an alternative. BHVR choosing to make paid for content desirable does not make them evil.
Is the game pay to win? Technically, yes. However I would not say that the devs are any lesser for it.

Usually I don’t believe claims like this but with that in mind and the fact that you used a fresh account, and the fact that it was nurse, I actually believe you.

Because that's literally the only thing you can do against her.
Right, so it’s the only thing she does all game.
