Can bots tbag? I swear one of them tbagged at me when I was playing trapper.
-
Same, I hate autohaven, swamp and mcmillan with a passion.
-
I agree, i get more consistent macthes with mmr in soloq, with ranks it was a wave of blendettes and sometimes a good player.
-
Im expecting either bp or shards per prestige, I'll be surprised if we get anything other than that.

Every game has an ending at some point, I don't say dbd is at its ending but steam charts says that playerbase (at least from steam) are going down, faster.
Many players left because:
- They changed OG maps. Everyone loves the og things, oldie but goldie. The old maps had totally different atmosphere, with the fog and ambient effects.
- Matchmaking aka MMR. It doesnt belong in games like dbd because this is not a competitive game. It's a casual game in the end of the day and you can't balance it since it's a 4v1.
- Bad balance in terms of perks, killers and maps. They continue to make big maps which affects killer's without some kind of ability of travering the map and protecting the gens. Even Nurse struggles against big maps. You win 10 matches as killer and you'll start to see only the same perks, dead hard, dstrike, bt, iron will, unbrekable etc, which is boring. We have 7 pages of perks, at medium/high level you see only up to 10 perks being used.
- Cheaters, a lot of them (just had a match with 2 in the same match). The game is plagued with cheaters and they seem to not be going away for some time already. And even if you report them with proofs, they still aren't banned, or are banned after 1 month.
- SWF. Denies a lot of perks and killers ability to win games, without a penalty.
- Solo-Q is awful.
- Survivor's objective is more easier and faster than killer's objective aka get 12 hooks if you can which is impossible without hard tunnel or camping + 4 gen perks. (I talk about medium/high level skill bracket).
About hatch and keys, the "rework" aka nerf was a lazy move from them, it took them years to just change in the code some lines and that's it. But as it was before was too easy for survivors to get all gens but 1 and escape and t-bag the killer.
About the upcoming mori change I would say it's again - a bad move. Basically the yellow mori will be basekit and yeah.. that's it. It's a lazy move.
Personally i play this game since 2017, I would say the game was actually fun and enjoyable during 2018-2019 times, when the game was somehow "balanced" and the old maps were the greatest... Will never be the same.
I only agree on the og maps fog, those maps were ugly as hell before their reworks
-
What difference does it make if still shows the offering 0.5s later?
-
As long as there isn't any consistency issues, I assume all characters are from the same world.
-
Hawkins nightime coldwinnd and the old fog. The rest I'm quite happy it's gone.

Bubba is already pretty obedient, in fact he might be one of the most obedient ones out there, lorewise he feels the same way with the Entity as he does with his family
i see the entity rewarding the killers with stuff like this, if they do good and follow it's command
I have my doubts, since the entity feeds on both survivors and killers emotions, I believe it would do things like that behind the scenes even with the ones that like being there.

Ah, never saw that. That's a fair stance, but I think the skins being canon makes things more interesting, mainly for matchups. James is stuck fighting Pyramid Head again alongside other veterans of Silent Hill who must now face the monster he created. Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan all facing down other extradimensional horrors and unknowable entities alongside the Demogorgon they thought they had rid themselves of, and Jill, Leon, Chris, and Claire fighting side by side to fight off an enemy they can't blow away this time. Then, for killer skins, it's just more variety in lore, and I love it. I, myself, am a writer, I do my best to remember tonal consistency and devaluement of backstory are what kills the fun of a character or project. In this case, it doesn't affect me as much, seeing as they all still want to escape and get home, but now they have someone to relate to, someone who knows their struggles and can push them to get home for both of their sakes. Again, it's a fair stance to take, but I like my variety. 'Tis the spice of life, after all.
Just different tastes :P

Mcote said a while ago in an interview with King and Paulie that there is only one version of a character currently inrealm, hence why a killer and survivor wouldn't be the same person. For the multiple survivors in trial, they said a few years ago that it was just a gameplay aspect to not lock the character you want to play.
I don't like couting cosmetics as canon mostly because it makes the story convoluted. For the legendaries, since they only have a small description and not a good fleshed out backstory I never considered they canon, just a cool option.
One of the reasons why I don't like it its because I like reading a lot and for me they sometimes take some of the hardships away, for example: Meg has to face trials on a daily basis, she misses her old and mainly her mom, if Meg's mom was also taken by entity Meg's struggle would be a little less.
-
I would prefer if the entity made a fake version of them to make Bubba obey or keep him in check, sounds more evil.
-
Did spirit actually made a deal with it? From what I remenber she was being manipulated to see the survivors as her father.
-
The way I see it, areas were the entity has manifested in the past turn into "weak spots" into our world and Haddie can feel the imprint it left behind. As for the box , I think the entity intentionally took it to attract the cenobites.
-
Sorry! I didn't express myself correctly, what I meant was that I'd rather If they keep them non canonical.
I think in this case it can be debatable since the devs never mentioned if legendaries or skins altogether are all in the fog, it was pretty much left for interpretation. I just consider them a gameplay feature like the multiple cosmetics in trial thing.
Sorry, my first comment was kinda unrelated to the question.
-
I'd rather keep them the way they are, I don't consider legendaries canon

Id like Ada Wong in here for sure. I'm just happy Capcom has been so liberal with letting DBD take their characters and enter them into a context where Pinhead is chasing Leon Kennedy. This game is truly the multiverse game
I wish they were more liberal with cosmetics though
-
Only looking foward to Ada or a map, I don't like Wesker and I wanted a male survivor like Carlos, Piers or Jake.

Not excited for Wesker personally, but i can't wait to see the survivors

Really? I can't remember the last time a survivor released, male or female that I cared about. It could be, like me they just haven't found the survivors released interesting in sometime. Or we can just go on shaming people if you prefer.
Maybe none of them spoke to you in a significant way, I think all of them are pretty unique but that doesn't mean I have to like every single one of them. My favorite holiday is Halloween, so Mikaela and her skins were an instabuy for me.
-
I just like to pretend that this never was a thing, it contradicts a lot of old lore so it's easier to pretend it doesn't exist.

I wasn't really thinking about plants and insects and such when making this post, but they probably count as created life if they are.
I was more thinking sentient life.
Do they really count as living things though? From what I know everything inside the realm ,aside from survivors and killers, is the entity so wouldn't plants and animals just be an extension of itself?

As long it still looks good I don't think it's a problem.

You act like I said those things did matter though.
It matters to some people, for me, sometime is way more fun to talk about the game lore rather than play the game.

they should at least avoid giving new skins to survivors/killers that have already got one in the 3-4 previous collections and aim for some kind of rotation, unless the collection is themed in a way that just fits the character too well to ignore
A rotation would be pretty fair

You can make the case David is tokenism as is.
Not really, tokenism would be just putting a label on him. They made a lore entry about his pass that was pretty well written and helped us understand his character more. Tokenism would be if they just did the twitter post and nothing else.
-

It would "feel" like tokenism for some, but don't you see how doing something like a twitter post to focus in on this one thing about a character is received much differently as opposed to making a character gay and not making a big deal about the fact they are gay?
I agree that the twitter post was a bad move, but his tome entey was pretty great, and if it was a new character it's pretty hard to believe they wouldn't have posted anything either.
-
David is already a good character with an already fleshed out lore, releasing a new gay character would feel like tokenism because it would feel like that character has no other purpose.
-
If it was a new character it would feel like tokenism.
-
Already confirmed that it won't happen.

Based on his respose to the relationship question they do seem to have plenty time to talk to eachother without a killer on them.Them being at the campfire made sense when there were 4 characters but now 30 people at 1 campfire seems excessive.
I like to imagine all survivors in the campfire together, like a safe heaven in the middle of hell

Wonder what a look at the store means maybe a full revamp?
I wish they reworked how cosmetics work in general, cosmetics that share the base skin and just change colors could be styles like in fortnite.

May I point to something that might be full bananas and have nothing to do with anything at all?
The number 6 materializes in the screen kinda like how the Observer disintegrated on the trailer for this recent tome. In the trailer he (the Observer) bursts into small fragments then to small particles, and the 6 comes into shape from small particles, kinda like some continuity to it. It also is not the same way the number was formed on previous teasers (on the 5th anniversary the 5 came in as a "light ray fade in" instead of a "dust particles fade in").
deep down I think this is just me wanting to see too much meaning on things that don't really have tho
Yeah, the killer is probably the observer or something he released on accident

Not anymore. That's the problem. Now we are forced to endure this vaseline-o-vision.
Last time this happened, the devs said that removing the ability to disable AA was an accident. It was reinstated in a later patch.
I really hope it's the same this time, rather than an intentional decision.
I don't play on pc so I don't know much about it, but it's possible to be removed or lessen the effects with filters?

Honestly, this is about where I stand on this too.
If you don't like the lore of a character in a game like this, where the lore has zero overlap with actual gameplay and is mostly buried deep within the menus - make up your own.
I said this in another thread, but if I as a kid of 6 or 7 could play with GI-Joes, making the characters completely different to their established canon with one of the baddies being a good guy and some of the good guys being baddies - a bunch of adults and pseudo-adults can surely do the same with their virtual action figures.
This entire thing is what I'd call a nontroversy.
It sounds wrong but it really isn't, every character I play is gay lol

I dislike not the fact of being gay.
You know, another person said better then me, so I just put there her words:
"People have comfort characters, whether it’s for relatability, attraction, or both.
For some people, a character’s, in this case, sexuality, can determine if that character becomes a comfort one or not.
I presume OP has liked David since his release, and with nothing ever alluding to his sexuality except the ex-girlfriend thing, having that suddenly torn away after years can be psychologically hurtful to people.
This is why the ‘leave it to everyone’s own interpretation’ was a better idea, so no one could have their own ideas ruined about a character. Making the character canonically gay would, and has, ruined the connection, illusion, comfort, etc. for some people."
Most people had no problem with the "leave it to your own interpretation", but that went right out the window when they started putting straight relantionships in established characters lore.
-
I see no problem to the way they announced, since they posted 2 years ago on social media that they were going to be more representative going foward It feels like yesterday's post was a direct answer to that tweet, like "here, we delivered what we promised".

People are complaining that bhvr did this the wrong way but his lore is pretty great.
