No point bringing this up. Survivors hate him and would rather they deleted the character. The devs nerfed him on request by the survivors and will never change it back because cosmetic sales.

They will, if everyone stops playing him. Which most players did, so now we have to wait like a year or two... yay

Even Anaxandra (4th player in the world by stats) stopped playing him and that is someone who gained money for playing him...

I disagree on him being unplayable now. You just have to be more patient and deliberate with what you want out of your rifle.

    🤷‍♂️

He is not unplayable for being bad killer.

He still has better 1v1 than most killers, so he is far from worst killer in dbd, but it just sucks to play him now. It's not fun, it's torture.

He has limitations other killers don't, he has a terrible mechanic (ADS) that other killers don't, which changes FOV and sensitivity, which you can't adjust.

He is unplayable, because he is bad and it just feels bad to do it.

I want quick-scope from my Rifle, I play FPS games a lot, so I was good at it. There is no reason for me to play him without it. He is objectively worse Huntress, well he always was, but now he is even worse than before and he also feels worse to play as.

I play bad killers, I enjoy Pig, Legion, Trapper, because they have fun aspects, Deathslinger doesn't anymore.

IMO if they were to make another change it would be to reduce his terror radius back. It really wasn't all that fair for survivors to be yanked back to where they were just because he looked at them. No other killer can do that.

I don't care about TR nerf, because that is not something you will really notice and you can fix it with perks.

I don't care about ADS fake nerf, because I have never used it.

But ADS nerf killed him, because there is no reason to play him without it. It's boring, feel bad to use and you have to deal with terrible ADS sensitivity + FOV unlike any other killer in the game.

Biggest porblem I think ppl had was little punishment for missing. Just take 2 seconds to reload again and your golden.

    Have you ever played him?

You think Huntress, or Trickster are punished more for missing?

  • @SonicOffline said:

...Press the aim button earlier if you think they'll be in a "I need to shoot them" situation. Not reactionary as a "Oh they're in a I need to shoot position."

So he is same like other killers with using his power, but with more limitations to his power compare to them?

    Yeah, seems balanced for sure...

  • @jesterkind said:

I won't argue against Slinger feeling worse now, because he definitely does, but he definitely should not feel like an FPS to play. That's part of the problem that prompted the change- if he plays like a shooter, survivors don't have anything they can do about it beyond hoping that he misses.

He should probably bring up his gun slightly faster, but he definitely shouldn't be able to quickscope or hip-fire.

    Why not?

He has limitations that other ranged killer don't, so why shouldn't he use 1 thing that other ranged killers can't?

Even before, quick-scope wasn't issue, zoning was. You can easily predict quick-scope, just faking ADS was boring to face, they failed to fix that, you just walk instead now. Like Huntress, but unlike her you have tiny hitbox and terrible FOV + sensitivity.

    Balanced...

  • Deathslinger doesn't really suck as a killer, he is still better than some weaker killers like Clown, Legion, Myers, Freddie etc., but he sucks to play as, even Freddie is more fun to play now and that used to be most boring killer to me.

Because of longer ADS, I get same feeling as Huntress with Wind-up time addons. Problem is that unlike Huntress, Deathslinger has several limitations. He gets more punished for single miss, he can't down over pallet / far window, he has limited range, he has super tiny hitbox that is easy to dodge, his ADS sensitivity + FOV just sucks, so he can't even flick and he also has longer time to down on avarage than Trickster / Huntress.

ADS sensitivity + FOV were always bad, but noone did it, because of quick-scope, so it wasn't an issue before.

Deathslinger was played by FPS players a lot, because they could use skills they already had, but that's not a thing anymore after quick-scope nerf.

Because of longer ADS he can't just shoot survivors looking behind them, even potato can react to 400 ms + 200 +/- ms travel time, so he needs to zone way more than before, which feels terrible, because of his ADS sensitivity + FOV and it's just boring af.

Just play Trickster / Huntress, let's see if they will release statistic for how much is that killer played, that will be fun...

I have over 200 hours just on Deathslinger, but it took me 5 games to start playing Trickster instead. It's just no from me.

  • I don't mind system how it works, I think it's actually way better than emblem system.

I have been theory crafting ideas about how it could work instead, but killer system is actually best they could do, if they want it to work for every killer same, which it should.

I would try different version for survivors tho, but it's still better than emblem system even for them.

What I don't like is how boring it can be in high MMR. I fixed it by having few killers where I sometimes lose on purpose, so I can just chill there. If I wanna tryhard, then I have Blight and Oni for that, because they can handle it...

But I think that is problem of balance, not SBMM. SBMM just shows it, it can be fixed by buffing soloQ, so you don't have only SWF in high MMR and by buffing weak perks / weak killers, so there is just more variety in high MMR.

  • @TunnelVision said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2589212#Comment_2589212

He is just looking out for survivor side rather than seeing the whole picture. Gen speeds are an issue at a certain point, even more so with an organised swf. Gens pop so fast that killers feel pressured to get a kill and often camp/tunnel as a result. The two points coincide with each other; you can't fix one without addressing the other.

Unless you're in brown ranks or very low mmr for example. Killers quite literally don't know any better because they're inexperienced at the game and first instinct is to secure the kill. This works in lower ranks and they keep doing it because 'it worked before'. This very quickly catches up to them as their mmr grows.

Sadly due to mmr this is being more of an issue because at a certain point killers are not the power role and quite literally have to tunnel to even secure a kill.

Yeah, those are basically situations 1) and 2) I mentioned. Because they don't know better and it works, or because they feel forced to do it, if they wanna win that game.

It depends on what killer you play. Like you can play however you want with Spirit and Blight, because they can get away with it, but then you have killers that are good at camping like Bubba and Trickster, or Oni / Twins that are good at slugging, where you are just having handicap for not using it and that killer becomes worse than actually is.

  • less charges than Dull Key

    Current system:

    Broken: avarage charges

Dull: Less charges, but can open hatch

Skeleton: more charges and can open hatch

I would keep system, so there is at least some reason to use Dull, I would actually want it to have more charges than Skeleton...

I would be fine with buffing overall duration for all of them, but keep system.

  • Problem is that there is no point in green key with those changes, when it doesn't do anything and it has less charges.

Built to last and green key with killer reveal add-on is quite fun to use.

fatigue for missing should be 4s imo, 3s when you cancel your power. So you have option to just cancel, or try to lunge to block.

I thought about this, but honestly, I think it would just be unnecessary fluff to fatigue. It wouldn't really be a big deal if this were the case, but it doesn't really need to be there either.

I don't think destroying breakable walls with power fits to the Legion theme, but he has Iri button, where he destroyes pallets while in power, so it might work. Would be cool af tho.

I think it fits. When you think about it, Breakable Walls are the only interactable object that hinders legion while chasing a survivor in Feral Frenzy. It feels sort of weird to vault a window, then a pallet, then have to stop dead just to kick a flimsy wall. Plus like you said, it would be cool af.

Change I would also like to see is, make Frenzy based on fixed range, not TR. So perks like Hysteria and Tinkerer works for Legion.

Even more of a non discussion if the devs has actually acknowledged it.

He probably meant the second comment about how is it connected.

Also BHVR acknowledged only face-camping, not proxy-camping, not tunneling.

  • @TunnelVision said:

Ok if we're purely talking about camping and tunneling then we have no discussion to have. Camping and tunneling are legitimate strategies even condoned by BHVR.

They said they are trying to fix face-camping (last Q&A, I think), but in a way that will not remove proxy-camping, which I have no idea how they want to do that...

survivors tears are pretty delicious lets not lie to ourselves

Once you taste it, you can never go back...

I love to use Trickster for it, but Bubba is just best choice when your cup is empty...

Noone has faster tunneling than PH tho, while ignoring DS.

  • @IronKnight55 said:

This is about camping/tunneling. No one said killers don't deal with unfun things as well. This isn't the thread.

This is about WHY so many killers do it, so it is connected to this thread.

There are 3 reasons why do it:

    1) survivors done multiple gens fast, so killer has feeling he needs to get someone from game asap to have chance to win

    2) killer is new and this is only tactic he knows and let's be honest, it just works really well against new players

    3) he just wants to drink from his cup filled with survivor's tears.

Camping can't really be fixed imo, there are times where it's not really killers fault and times where it is just best thing to do from his POV. Tunneling can be prevented by other survivors. What most survivors call "tunneling" is just not actual tunneling, it's just excuse to blame the killer.

  • You want to see totems? DETECTIVE'S HUNCH,COUNTERFORCE, SMALL GAME

See? your version has more alternatives, so no need for that...

Bond works all the time, this would show more things, but it has two requirements -> no item, need to find totem and it doesn't work all the time, so not really same thing...

  • @BBQ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2589147#Comment_2589147

I only suggested the multiple game mode idea on the basis of dbd picking up in numbers.

Sure, game modes would be nice.

It's kinda hard to create modes for asymmetrical game.

Let's say my 1v1 idea, it would remove 1 killer and 1 survivor from normal game, so then you have 3 survivors that would be normally playing waiting in lobby for killer to show up.

So new mode kinda has to be 1v4 and it would be need to be somehow interesting for both sides. Where there is high chance noone will care about that mode after 1 week and you just wasted a lot of money and time that could be use on new content for normal game, or balancing instead.

Only thing possible is ranked vs casual imo, where ranked would be based on SBMM and maybe using tournament rules, that would be cool and casual just play whatever you want and make it based on grades? So just depends on how much you play, but don't really care about skill, so more variety in those games.

  • @BBQ said:

I think instead of making major game changes like this, I'd rather a 'don't fix what isn't broken' approach, in relative terms. I get that there is bugs and problems, but the game is continuing to grow in numbers; Dbd’s downswings always come back up.

I think more than just one game mode would be a good option down the line. Look at the top triple A games, they all have multiple game modes, looking at games like Fortnite, Cod etc. If DBD's numbers continue to pick up down the line, I think this would be the best course of action.

Look at how many players they have and how much money those game earn...

    Not really same.

If there should be another mode, I would really wanna see 1v1, just to practice chases.

There are no reason for more item aura perks then...

I would be fine with it showing other survivors, then I would use it.

It would be dumb to have requirement same as what it does. not really hard to find new totem, when you see it with that perk...

Like that vs Detective's hunch, where you actually have to remember location of totems from distance and requirement is harder...

It's not really hard to find 1 totem, when you have so many guaranteed spawns on most maps.

  • @6yXJI0 said:

Just put totem auras in it and it would be fine. Who need auras of hooks if you dont sabotaging them? Who needs auras of chest if you never took plunderers? Who needs gates if you already can see the notification? Who need gen auras if you have visionary that doesnt need an activation?

Oh, right. That wouldn't be broken. Hey let's find 1 totem so you can see all other totems each game?

Yeah, try to compare it with other totem hunting perks.

Perk that require totem cleansing to use, should not show more totems after it...

  • Play perks to prevent it, take protective hits, don't unhook after 1 second on hook (wait some time and do gens meanwhile, then do 1 for 1 if needed).

Learn to loop killer for more than 10 seconds.

  • I used to be Legion and Deathslinger main. Well, Deathslinger is dead for me and Legion doesn't really work that well during SBMM.

So Oni and Blight it is. I have started to play Trickster lately and he is quite fun now.

  • It would be nice, if you saw progress too, so you know that you finished it already, or how much you are still missing.

  • Oh right, because this game is not 0 noob friendly enough, right?

It would be interesting to use tournament rules for ranked, if they make it like ranked / casual modes, but that is not likely to happen.

  • changes above would be nice, fatigue for missing should be 4s imo, 3s when you cancel your power. So you have option to just cancel, or try to lunge to block.

I don't think destroying breakable walls with power fits to the Legion theme, but he has Iri button, where he destroyes pallets while in power, so it might work. Would be cool af tho.

"There should be a visual and auditory cue when Feral Frenzy has 2 seconds remaining."

I think this one is kinda pointless, it will just annoy your screen, you will have to watch your power anyway for last second lunge.

  • Normal Myers -> break line of sight as much as possible, then play safe when he is in tier 3

Scrath mirror Myers -> wait under pallets, or open areas

Tombstone Myers (he is stalking way too long) -> jump into a locker, or keep yourself in animation (gen, or window/pallet vaulting) while tier 3 is active, so he can't mori you.

  • @Karma_Susui said:

I'm sorry I'm really confused. Why does he need a nerf? He's pretty easy to go up against and fun to play against. (At least with my friends since we bet who's gonna get tombstoned) but all you really need to do is break line of sight. I could get that scratched mirror on indoor maps can get annoying but that's really it imo.

    I actually love those games.

It's only way this game becomes horror game again and not just game of tag.

  • @NekoTorvic said:

Ghostface has always seemed like such a weird one to me... like who the hell thought his power deserved a 30 second cooldown? It's really just 30 seconds of not being able to use your power because reasons.

Blight is a much more powerful killer and his cooldown is 10 seconds at most.

Granted Blight takes more mechanical skill and map knowledge than ghostface, but Ghostface requires a pretty significant amount of strategy and map knowledge for a power that doesn't help him in chase or against W. His natural cooldown could honestly be 20 seconds at most and it wouldn't be be OP.

Yeah, lower CD and rework add-ons, then I will happily teabag survivors.

Better? Clearly a killer main then because how in the world did you read that and think "ah yes thats better." Hatch needed a nerf but this wasn't it.

Oh right, I am so sad that it would be rare to get ditched by teammate hiding in locker next to the hatch, while I am looping the killer, or that killer will no longer be waiting on top of hatch and close it instantly, so sad...

When I saw these footprints, I was thinking: "Wouldn't it be cool if survivors were leaving bloody footprints instead of blood pools when they are injured". I definitely think that it would be. But is it a good idea? Wouldn't it make tracking harder for the killer?

This would be way harder to see on some maps.

But yeah, would be kinda cool.

What about making it bloody footprints default and sloppy butcher would add pools too?

I mean I usually play with at least one m8 that I know and we had the situation that our m8s died quite fast and we were left with 2-4 gens and didn't know what to do, if either one should kill themselves or whatever, but sometimes we found a key and could turn the whole thing around. It was a amazing moment but that is not possible anymore. Or this moment when you run towards the hatch one opens it the other one gets downed straight on the hatch and still makes it, that can't happen anymore and that is so sad.

amazing moment for survivors, but there is someone playing killer too and it just sucks to secure 3-gen or trying to win hard game and survivors just go cya into hatch.

  • @FranzDerPalme said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2586951#Comment_2586951

Okay yeah I get that, you got me there. I still think it is not good, that it only spawns if there is only one player left, seems unresonable to me.

You know that it's actually quite good for survivors too? Unless they liked to use key for free escape

    1) You will not have situation where killer just stand on top of hatch and close it instantly, because he found it before killing second survivor.

    2) When there are 2 survivors left and you run killer, second survivor will not just ditch you waiting in locker next to hatch, so you have better chance he will finish gen.

  • @FranzDerPalme said:

Good day. I have a few big issues with the hatch nerfe and here is why.

Fist of all Keys are pretty much useless now, because it is literally a Item that you can only use, if you let all of your m8s die.

Second of all, if you can only use a key / find the hatch after everyone is dead, what shall you do, if the killer is a sweaty player, that wants the 4 k so bad, that he sluggs? Wait for 5 Minutes until your m8 is blead out and start searching afterwards?

In my opinion if they nerfe it like this, they should at least also remove the killers ability to close it or else it is just useless at that point.

"they should at least also remove the killers ability to close it"

So you complain that keys are useless, which they are not. They are bond and OoO in item, everyone is just used to free escape with it.

If killer can't close hatch, it will never be closed, so what is that key for?

And imagine I kill everyone else on 5 gens left, like what the hell should I do as a killer, when I find hatch, but can't close it?

I am gonna stand on top of it, so you can't go inside, then i am going to get something to eat and maybe watch a movie, enjoy m1 simulator.

    Greetings Community and Designing Team,

I am an international collage student who likes playing Dead by Daylight. In the game, I play both killers and survivors. In case it may be pointed out to be very subjective and narrow, I have attached my play time and proofs of reaching red ranks on both killer and survivor sides below. I main The GhostFace and reached red ranks with The GhostFace before our new rank systems.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QV90ZZ1IBGQ2/dbd2-png.png

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3PUSEB351IUQ/dbd3-png.png

Before stating anything, I would like to let you kind fellows know that I love this game as much as everyone does. It helped me get through some difficult stages during my life including the pandemic which separated me and my family for 2 years. I, myself, is a huge horror fan. I love Scream. I watched every Scream movie. Though I know in Dead by Daylight, The GhostFace does not come from Scream, it is some core elements that every GhostFace shares that makes us love this killer.

After patch 5.3.0, GhostFace's ability night shroud have been adjusted. The reason I say adjusted because it is controversial. Some considers it to be an upgrade as the design team has said:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/H6EDYYK7UPOL/image.png

I personally think it is a minor nerf and a yield to fail making The GhostFace unique.

    1. Chewed Pen + Olsen's Address Book. Know as the cd build which decreases night shroud from 30s to 16s.

However, after the patch, when one goes with cd build, it even adds one more second to night shroud:

    1. Chewed Pen(-4s) + Olsen's Address Book(-3s). 24s - 4s - 3s = 17s.

What I am trying to say is think about why people rarely uses other addons. It is not because of the numbers. It is due to the core game play which GhostFace lacks of. Before the patch, one hardly utilized stalking since it was very distressing when survivors canceled your night shroud.

What I ask and demand is a remake of The GhostFace's core game play. Some possible suggestions:

    1. Delete stalking. It is so much alike to The Shape and it is distressing to play with.
    2. Keep night shroud since it is what one immediately thinks about when you mention GhostFace, which also fits the killer's characteristics in the movie.
    3. Make night shroud less powerful than damaging one full health state, which is to say GhostFace has to damage survivors multiple times during night shroud. This should balance the undetectable status of night shroud. Remember, in the movies, GhostFace cut victims multiple times before finally ends victims' lives.
    4. Keep or delete the crotch. It is considered cute but has very little usage with current addons. Another way of saying this is, if you are keeping this ability, make it powerful enough to compete with other builds.
    5. Do something with the phone calling as it is one of the classic tricks GhostFace does in every Scream movies. It is what makes GhostFace.

I am not going to and not capable to developing a brand new play style. But, I look forward to see futures changes of The GhostFace.

    Sincerely,

A Loyal Dead by Daylight Player.

"I personally think it is a minor nerf and a yield to fail making The GhostFace unique."

It was nerf to add-ons, buff to base-kit, which I like. So such changes are always welcome.

Yeah, I am not gonna even bother talking about your other changes in dept. Just no

"I am not going to and not capable to developing a brand new play style."

Yeah, then don't try. You only said to remove, or nerf everything he has and that you bascially want new killer instead, but you are not good enough to come up with ideas.

Maybe let killer reworks to killer mains that uderstand that killer and know what needs to be actually changed. There is no ghostface main on this planet, that would want to remove crouch. BHVR should never even dare to remove crouch. That would kill him. I want to teabag those survivors back!

Stalking fits to him, it works differently than The Shape.

You are from the dark, and like the dark, you cannot be seen.

At the start of the trial you are undetectable for 40/50/60 seconds.

Every time you hook a survivor you gain undetectable for 10 seconds.

That would be so fun to use with BBQ and Lethal Pursuer.

I am not sure 10 seconds is enough and 60 is a lot, what about make it like 15-20 for both? At start and after unhook.

It's the same sh*t for every non-mobility killer, even 115%. 0.6m/s is also super slow to catch up with a W-gamer.

Huntress has the same problem than him, but the lullaby is even bigger than his TR, and she has to wait the full charge to hit a fast hatchet. But in proper hands she's strong, now it is the same for the DeathSlinger.

I see you have a certain amount of comments/posts here so you're certainly not a beginner but sometimes we forget the basics : come from somewhere the survivor won't be able to flee you in a way you can't cut his trajectory. With 110% you have to outposition sooner more than the other killers the survivors.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2577904#Comment_2577904

The quick scope thing was why he was so unfair and so unfun to play against. There is no practice in earth that makes you realistically able to react to a 0.3s move.

Plus the fact that as a survivor you had to move in a stupid trajectory so you hope to avoid a sudden quick scope, but by doing so, the DeathSlinger outposition quickly and for free, just because he CAN quick scope.

Quick scoping doesn't require to aim well. That's my opinion. It's just the easy way to have shots.

Now he's hard, but fair. People who actually know how to outposition, how to move, and how to aim will perform with him.

Saying he's garbage because you don't use him well is the same as saying Nurse is trash because you have to put 15 hours in her to more or less master her. People have to play him in another way than before.

Quick-scoping wasn't that easy to do, unless you used crosshair tho.

It was only thing that make him different from other ranged killers, now he is just worse, harder and less fun to play. There is not a single reason to play him over Huntress, or even Trickster.

He is not worst killer in the game, but he is least fun killer to play in the game.

His ADS FOV and sensitivity sucks and is terrible to use.

If you enjoyed zoning with him, then you are fine, you still can do it. Problem is that I hate it and it's cheap, I always tried to go for fancy quick-scopes and he is just super boring to me without it.

It was possible to predict his quick-scope and that hitbox is super tiny, so easy to miss. Right now, he can't just shoot, because even potato can react to it, so he is forced to zone.

"There is no practice in earth that makes you realistically able to react to a 0.3s move."

I play killer all the time. I don’t sit and face camp survivors. If the survivors are too hard for you then you just need to practice. Face camping requires no skill. It’s an excuse for people who just need practice.

    It depends when.

Face camping on first down with 5 gens left is cheap, sure.

But a lot of people are complaining also about face camping with 0 gens left, which I just don't get...

The ADS needs to be at least half. And since now his TR is 32m, he should be 4.6 when his weapon is not loaded.

    That would be interesting.

I am not sure half would save him. As long you can't really quick-scope, you have to deal with his ADS FOV and sensitivity, which is just terrible.

When you use Any Means Necessary or apply a Boon to a totem the camera starts wildly spinning and you can't stop it, tugging the mouse in one direction only makes things jitter instead of actually stop.

This is causing me headaches every time it happens and I have to either close my eyes or look away from the screen each time.

Please, just give us normal control of the camera like all other times. I'll look around myself for the Killer, I don't need to sickening spin to do it for me.

Didn't you change camera control on keyboard to E?

I have done that for Billy etc. and then had this issue, because multiple things on E....

You won't be stomping anyone, that's the point. Read the OP.

You think we will not be stomping anyone because of NOED and campers?

The killer needs to get fast down for it, even if he secures 1 kill with NOED, it is still stomp in my eyes when he got 3 hooks total.

That is unless we just find NOED, which is not hard on most maps.

I sometimes play with new players on official discord and even then it's not an issue as long they listen what to do.

If his argument was soloQ sucks, we need to do some changes, then sure, but that has nothing to do with MMR.

It's wrong to think that gaining MMR is any form or reward.

And your statement about killers have it easier, it's not valid, when you don't try to be in your actual MMR with other skilled players. I have MMR boosted from SWF, so even when I play soloQ for challenges, we don't have problem, because it's rare to meet really bad survivors, unless they are random SWF.

Hey hey, sorry. Look at edit, if you wanna.

Yes you are an entitled Player, The way and in the manner you speak proves it.

You aren't even using complete sentences to connect subject and matter together.

You say I'm a hypocrite but you never explained how or why and I was fair from defensive mode, I just wanted to address the blatant toxicity behind your entire argument, for no reason at all. You constantly insult and talk down to me for reasons that are behind my understanding because like I said you don't use complete sentences.

With my experience from playing the game from the time its released, If you are constantly running into 3 gen situations with more then 2 survivors left (unless your build dictates it.) You probably should look to using new Perks, different strategies, or a new killer. -Note how I use words probably and my experience, and constantly. specifying a situation but not forcing it.

"I am just saying that if you think that it's bad gameplay whenever you get into 3-gen with more than 2 survivors, then you are either super low MMR playing with trash survivors, or you tunnel super hard every game from start."[sic]

    • -What you are saying here is contradictory and I don't understand why your are even mentioning this in what context are you speaking from? What does MMR have to do with this or tunneling for that matter? Different killers are good at different things and you don't have to tunnel to get people out, even if you hook everybody 2 times and its a 3-gen situation with 3/4 people its not an ideal situation.
    • But the fact you say "trash survivors or low mmr" just shows how much of an entitled player you are remember when I said your manner of speaking and the way you speak, that's what I'm talking about.
    • "There is just no other option to explain it. Or you just said complete BS to justify your point, then you cry, when someone doesn't agree with you..."[sic]
    • The reason why you have no other way of explaining it is because you have a very obdurate attitude when it comes to this and you refuse to think about all of the other situations/solutions available. You think up insults and meme's that everybody else saids nowadays in conversation to try try and get an upper hand instead of being an intelligent person and thinking about things and engaging in a proper conversation with someone. Even if you make a valid point nobody will listen to a word you say if you're constantly hurling insults back and forth.
    • Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them a bad person and I'd wish you'd reflect on your manner of communication and try and learn this. I have no reason to cry when somebody doesn't disagree with me but when someone is being so openly toxic as you were, Yes I'm going to address it. It was completely uncalled for and came out of nowhere.
    • On Autohaven Wreckers or any map for the matter I've never had to force a 3-gen from the start, If 3-gen is your personal strategy for every time it pops up so be it that's your method of playing. I've played this game forever and through my experience I've developed my own strategies for playing each and every map that I employ and usually work out very well. To get 3-gen with 4 survivors on any map gives you the choice of basically face camping to get that 1 kill, gen camping hard, getting ran ragged, or some other crazy strats to try and pull what you can.

And I admit "CoH" is a strong perk but the negatives (unless you run other supportive perks) is.....well check out my previous posts for detailed. travel time, inner strength/totem breakers, survivors can't play independently they rely on somebody who has the perk to put it in a good spot and once placed can't be moved. So if that survivor who is running CoH places it in a bad spot beginning game and killer ignores it, It's stuck there. Now if you have a full lobby all running Coh It definitely gets stupid if survivors can heal essentially everywhere I understand that much. However in that case everyone of them could just be running self-care and never have to worry about it.

They had it set at one point to where totems break when the killer snuffs them out, unfortunately that didn't work out quite as well as they thought it would. So what my point here is What are the odds of every single person running CoH in a lobby and nobody breaking totems or using a perk like inner strength. (SWF not included). Me personally when I play survivor I let someone else run them and run a back up healing perk just in case like second wind (which is more useful in my particular case then CoH or SC) I prefer to get unhooked and continue gen pressure then waste precious time to run away and heal.

Now in a perfect world where it's all perfect survivors and a bad killer on a bad map all running CoH or SC it's not gonna really matter what you are running at that point you are probably getting clapped either way xD.

But buddy if we are going to continue this conversation you have to understand that even though i disagree with your base argument I'm not your enemy or anything like that just talk to me like I'm a person and maybe we can come up with a solution and go from there.

    -supplement your lifestyle

    -Q

Yeah, I am not gonna read that over comments with another troll...

    Try TLTR version next time.

Edit: not troll, I was thinking it's about different conversation I had before you. My bad here.

Alright, so I read it, yay.

Let's to be serious for once in my life.

I have no idea who you are playing against, but my experience playing against survivors with 2k+ hours, unless I play killers like Spirit, Blight, Oni, then forcing 3-gen is usually best plan to win. Some maps are too big, so they have gens that are just not worth defending with most killers.

I don't think it's about your unique playstyle or whatever you want to call. My guess is that you either play really good killer that can handle it, or you just don't play against good survivors. So unless you want to show me your gameplay, those two are only logical options I can think of to justify your statement that there should not be more than 2 survivors during 3-gen.

"If you are in a situation where you have more then 2 survivors 3 gen Then your gameplay was fundamentally flawed"

If that is your standard, then that means you never lost, which is just BS, or you don't care about winning and your gens actually gets finished a lot, which may be because you are not going to 3-gen.

When you want to talk about CoH, why shouldn't we include SWF? Those are players that have chance to get most out of this perk.

I don't really care how good is that perk for avarage survivors, or solo. I care about what is the strongest thing you can do with that perk and see if it is broken or not.

I don't wanna nerf that effect, I really like that effect and we are going to use that a lot. You talked about Inner Strength, if you compare it to CoH it's just way worse.

Only change I want is for killer to destroy totem, so survivors have to think about how and when they are using their boon totem and killer have reason to search for it, after it survivors just can find new totem. So it's still nowhere near Hex type perk, where you just lost it, it would be just like other totem survivor perks, where you need to make some efforts in using it to it's full potencial.

Yeah, try doing the same thing as a solo survivor, that is lowering your MMR to the ground, and see what happens.

I don't enjoy stomping new killers, so that's a no...

Even if Boon: _Circle_of_Healing cannot be used now, we still have to pay attention to the problem of Circle_of_Healing being too powerful.

We need to make the survivor skills in the Boon Totem area completely invalid, even if only Circle_of_Healing is used, it is still too powerful.

Can you imagine that the survivors only need to pull a short distance to complete the treatment in front of you.

Let me destroy that totem, so they have to find new one and I am fine with it.

i fart up the idea in 5 minutes, i never said it was the best system ever, im just saying a system that is just a simple binary in an ASYMETRICAL GAME that is designed to be uneven is just a recipe for failure.

could easily tweak values, increase certain killers scorings yadda yadda, point is kills/escapes is a horrible system and shows that these "YeArS oF rEfInInG" their "system" only to give us one of the most simple ladder systems ever made thats built on THE 1v1 games of freaking chess in a game that is 4v1. its lunacy to say the least thinking that was somehow a good idea.

a prime example of how bad such a system is, i just loaded up my first game as blight, literally bought him 15minutes ago, got a brutal killer with one red emblem in chases, with one perk, and what was my competition as a brand new killer?

4 deadhards, 3 borrowed times, 3 Lithes and 2 adrenalines and 3 medkits with healing syringes followed by a nice fat "EZ"

like no ######### it was ez, i was a brand spanking new killer out of the box literally bouncing around practicing the rush power, i even tried to signal i wasnt even interested in winning by swinging at totems and they just rushed the game, teabagged and left thinking they somehow earned the game.

under my system i would have lost sure, one red emblem isnt much to brag about but its a stepping stone of learning and its gauging of where i need to improve, my ability to chase wasnt an issue because i got a red while my gen pressure and hooking was non-existant and the emblems told me this is where i failed so as a system told me where i needed to improve and failed me for not doing said scorings.

under the current system a brand new killer was crapped all over, teabagged then told "EZ" while offering nothing but a big fat "you suck" from the other team in the form of a match that lasted a whopping 7 minutes with 3 health states damaged all 3 being syringe healed and essentially "4 losses" because 4 escapes = 4 losses, while each individual survivor only gained 1 point, meaning they can do this crap for weeks and drag a ton of mid level to low level killer players down hard in ranks pushing them into newer survivor players playing field.

if i was some nurse god (im an average nemesis, demo and pinhead enjoyer) tried blight with all that knowledge but needing to practice my abilitiy, losing 5 games is going to knock me down 20 pegs, now if i lose 10 games i'll be down 40 points, thats 40 wins required for a survivor to plow through to get up higher, now imagine i "git gud" as blight with my nurse knowledge of the game, im now going to stomp upward of 20 games of lower bracket players games because i'v adjusted to the killer but have higher end games experience, then im back to "0" and im now in a position to wreck 40-70 more survivor games till im in my intended bracket.

see how bad that system is now?

40 killer games stomps means 160 survivors were taken down 1 peg, meaning they didnt get affected much while i spike up and cause 4 kills every game, thats not a good system thats an abysmal system that punishes other people due to me being way below my class.

likewise the survivor side if i am way below my skill bracket i have to win 160 games to achieve the same sort of spike that the killer needed to, unless im some sort of survivor god that is undefeatable and psychic, i aint getting that power shift anytime soon.

It's because there need to be some starting MMR and that is based on your other killers. It's not like you buy new killer and you will get chance to stomp noobs because of it, that should never be a thing.

You may not be best with his power, but overall killer knowledge is still there.
