On the PTB the map had far more spread out pallets. They didn't mention anything about it on the patchnotes so theres an 80% chance of it being a bug (don't ask me where i got that number from)
Okay it is a confirmed bug now (a mod confirmed). Too many pallets are getting generated. But they've yet to make a proper post about it or killswitch it.

thats just 5 maps out of like 35. plus the new map allegedly has bugged pallet spawns so its probably not even going on that list
Only Midwich and some variations of Autohaven Wreckers are the fair maps in the game. Rest are all connected jungle gyms into other pallets into shack etc. Also, we can't just assume that the new map is bugged, it's probably intended.

Bad map design isn’t an excuse to keep an overpowered killer as is. They need to fix those maps.
That said, I’m hoping the pallet spawns on that map are bugged because there seems to be way too many.
It's crazy that it's so badly designed that both survivors and killers are thinking it's bugged. I don't think so though, i genuinely believe the devs intended it to be this way.

I don't think one terrible aspect of game should be fixed by having another terrible aspect in the game, to counterbalance the first terrible aspect.
Maps like these are no reason for a killer like Nurse to exist if you ask me. There are still more than enough other maps where she is just broken. And she is surely broken on this map as well. These horrible maps should just be fixed, though I have low hopes of that, seein as we are conitnuing to get more of these crappy maps. It's honestly just sad that the new maps seem to just be getting worse and worse.
I agree. If they rework the unfair maps and reduce the number of god pallets, then Nurse should be reworked too. But first fix bad map design.

You guys can see the pallets on the new map????
I am getting surprise stunned by pallets as killer ngl lol. So hard to see. I use windows of opportunity as survivor so not having problems there.

its just one map
Gideon, Coldwind, Garden Of Joy, Eyrie Of Crows, Badham. Did you actually mean what you said? Or just said it for vote ups?

Because the only time they play their own game is custom matches in the weekends against other devs.

Running under a hook and waving you over.
Or maybe cleanse a totem after completing a gen every time. Gens going too fast is very "unfun" for me too :(
-
Nah, too much to ask from Behavior. They'll just conveniently monitor kill rates in general and call it a day.

Sportsmanship is a pretty great thing. When I play I try to treat others like I'm playing a tabletop game in the same room with them. I like playing the game, so I want to treat people kindly so they will want to keep playing the game with me. If you treat everyone like #########, eventually you will be the only one left playing, all by yourself. But hey, guess you got bots now to keep you company.
So killers show "sportsmanship" by not tunneling. How do survivors show sportsmanship though?

This was some time ago. I found a Mikaela trying to boon. chased and hooked her. Not much later found her again trying to boon the same totem. Hooked her again. Two more times I found her trying to do the same. I felt bad and only chased her off. Once during a chase she even back tracked and tried to boon behind my back. The final time I see her trying again. This time I was even able to pluck her off the totem and threw her on her death hook. Boy, oh boy did she want that totem.
Poor thing. They are kinda adorable tho, not gonna lie.

I had a game where the killer was running Thrill of the Hunt, and Devour Hope. Mikaela proceeds to bless a hex totem with supposedly 5 tokens of Thrill considering it was the first minute into the game.
I think we almost finished a generator by the time she blessed it... And it wasn't the Devour Hope unfortunately.
I must admit blessing a hex totem does feel satisfying lol. Even if it takes ages or multiple attempts to bless.

Ok I can recall three funny stories.
1) I was hooked and Mikaela was coming to save me through Temple of Purgation but she holed herself. It was really funny. Sucks I don't have it recorded.
2) Another time I was playing in a Yamaoka map vs Oni I believe. And I am frantically running (I was probably injured) and I see Mikaela in a corner and we're both so fat I can't go past her so killer downs me. ALso up until that point she probably was still searching a book and doing no gens.
3) Today we were playing vs Ghostface and she unhooked me, I caught him with my eye trying to stalk us so I try to reveal him from an angle. We were in the bathrooms at Lery's and she was behind me so after i revealed him (I was injured and on death hook) I try to gain distance and what do you know it's Mikaela being slow and bodyblocking me and she didn't even try to take aggro for me, needless to say I died 10 seconds later.
Lol getting holed in Red Forest has happened to me too, multiple times, while trying to save someone.

So a 3man swf of me and my friends with a random witch on eyrie with a blight. All 3 of us brought the break totems challenge and 2 of us had small game. Needless to say 5 totems got broke fast and we would occasionally see a witch sneakily urban evading looking at the broken bones~
Lmao would have been funny af to watch her urban evading like that .

Killers still camp with this perk in the game, and did so before it's existence.
The camped with BBQ, they camped with Discordance, they will camp regardless of what perks are in the game, so using it as an excuse not to change something, simply isn't good enough.
If they are camping with Eruption, that means they're hardly even using the perk. Therefore no reason to complain about Eruption.
-
@Brokenbones said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3266081#Comment_3266081
Eruption does little to deincentivise tunnelling or camping.
Also slowdown perks are what allow some killers to get away with tunnelling/camping in the first place.
Just because a perk rewards you for winning chases that doesn't mean it makes killers change their playstyle.
So what does the killer get out of Eruption if they're just hovering around a hook and not patrolling the map kicking gens? Nothing. Also survivors efficient with gens, complete all gens regardless of Eruption. Survivors also said the gens are impossible to complete when the devs just added 10 secs to generators. So there is always over reaction.
-
@nora_the_explora said:

Well nerf or not theres tons of perks that reward killers for not camping, and if a killer decide to camp he s gonna camp regardless of the perks, almost every killer perks becomes usless if the killer stands in front of the hook...
Eruption is really strong against solo q, and people usially go down pretty quickly, and if cobine it with othe 3 gen regression perks is very strong
Most killers don't just camp survivors out of spite like the devs think. Pop, ruin, DMS, Thana etc. are all nerfed now, and survivors are complaining about the remaining gen defense perks. Why would killers bother with chases if they just slowly keep nerfing every perk that stops the gens from getting done too quick.
-
Yeah lets nerf every perk that rewards the killer for going for multiple chases and not camping. Then wonder why killers are camping.
-
What's this about "killers shouldn't create dead zones for themselves"? The killer doesn't decide where the survivor runs off to, and neither can the killer choose where to hook the survivor, the wiggle timer is literally 15 secs.
-
I completed it right when i started playing dbd lol. Got baby survivors who fell for it. Maybe try dropping your mmr and face baby survivors?
-
I was thinking about Victor too ❤
-
People have been pointing out the hook distance issue for years. It just gets ignored. Because wiggling off a killer's grasp is really fun for survivors i guess.

Nope the 10% faster pallet breaking "bUff" certainly helps.

Dang do we play the same game? I never have to do this even if i play against a bully squad. Id rather lose and say gg and go next then make the match infuriating or unfun. On topic just go after the unhooker or patrol gens? With some game sense you'll find someone.
Yup. The good old "just pressure gens" advice. Thanks i will take that into consideration.

Ok. Where and what are the killer equivs? How do I stop 45 second hyperfocus + stakeout + toolbox gens? Or how do I stop someone from going into a hook deadzone/high spot with boil over and becoming impossible to get to a hook now? Or 8 second medkit heals? Or CoH heals?
You don't even need Boil Over to be unhookable. A survivor being unhookable in an area (especially near the exits) is actually quite common.

Soon guys soon.
Infectious Fright Perk for chain survivor chase and split pressure no more.
One Survivor at a time. So tunneling strait is the way.
Just play Bubba, and use Dead Lock and Merciless Storm. Get your 1-2 kills and call it a day. That's what the game is going towards lol.
-
@sulaiman said:
You are both right. DEHAVIOUR, 61% kill rate is not enough, we need more kills, not less.
Stop relying on kill rates like the devs who compare dbd to hockey.

Putting aside the potential issues with a basekit Unbreakable, is that not a good thing?
There are a lot of perks on both sides that, historically, it's felt damn near necessary to bring. Surely it's a good thing that they're pushing for a version of the game where you no longer feel the need to bring insurance against being camped, tunnelled, or slugged, because you have basekit options for it?
Camping and tunneling is understood to some extend. But slugging? How stupid or cocky does the team have to be to go down one after the other? Never happens in my killer matches.
-
This is happening to all my female survivors. Wonder how many months they'll take to fix this.
-
The only way flashlights are "abusable" is by doing the locker save tech back to back using comms. Otherwise flashlights are a really easy counter, you just need to learn it.

So more buffs will help? What do you need for balanced matches
Good map design, instead of increasing gen speed.

The "buffs" are making zero differences in my matches. But i'm sure it makes a difference against absolute baby survivors.

Agreed. DS, Off the record and Kindred basekit lets go!!

Queue times are the longest they’ve been for Killers in years. Something tells me that the BT basekit buff isn’t doing much to make people want to play Survivor
Yeah so DS, OTR and Kindred basekit should do it right?
-
Survivors literally just got a buffed version of BT as basekit, you sure they need more buffing?
-
@Raccoon said:
You can't force the killer to ignore a viable target.
You can add 100s of BT to base kit - if you're a problem and/or the killer feels like removing you from the game for any reason under the sun, they can still focus you.
No deterrent can remove player agency.
No basekit DS should surely fix this. Lets go!

I originally called this post "survivors dictatorship prevails once again" and the mods changed the post name to "survivors prevail once again". God behavior are you insecure, not able to take any criticism what so ever.

You would be funny to laugh at if it would not be so sad how you show your lack of skill in this game with every post.
You focus on one point and ignore that they made two upcoming Survivor Perks pointless in the next Update AND reduced the number of Pallets on the new RPD-Maps.
Yeah definitely a skill issue. I bet you give the same advice other survivor mains give to killers, "jUsT pReSSuRe gEnS".

@malloymk said:
Killers camp because it's easy and it works. It has nothing to do with gen times being too fast or looping being to strong.
Camping against good teams who know how to do gens will get you a 1-2k at best. It doesn't work.

@Mandy said:
I'm going to address the Devs are survivor sided comment here. This is completely not the case...the designers of this game are neither survivor sided or killer sided, they consider the game as a whole.
If there are any adjustments made to Wesker or his power, then these will be done for the health of the game same as any adjustments to perks etc. It's not about one side or the other.
Lol dbd has always been a survivor sided game for the simple reason that majority of the player base are survivors, therefore you can make more money out of favouring the majority of your customers. Simple business decision. Who are you kidding?
-
Yeah this has happened to me too. I thought it was my internet connection. It's as if i got hit by doctor's shock therapy.

I havent thought of the killer role as stressful in a long time.
I suggest playing some of the top tier killers and seeing if you enjoy the game more.
But at the end of the day, its just a game. If you dont enjoy it, no point playing it.
I kinda force myself to play it a bit lol, since i have spent so much on cosmetics and now i'm looking to get my money's worth out of it.

Me neither. Between some bad changes and the FPS drops I've been getting lately, I play one match and close it.
For me the first match or two is always unplayable, lots of stutter. Then the performance gets better, but still the occasional stuttering and fps drops is there.

I'm sorry you have encountered some nasty people with their brain dead comments. I've had my life threatened, been called every slur known to man and been told I was trash. I quit for a while and the only reason I came back is friends I know still play it.
I'm hoping when streamer mode goes live the threats and nasty stuff will be a thing of the past. (Streamer Mode hides your name right?) As for the other stuff? Maybe try perk roulette? That added a bit of fun for a while. I wish you the best no matter what you decide.
Yeah and the worst part is that reporting does nothing, even though they literally type all this in the game's endgame chat. Perk roulette, i might try it if i do return lol, sounds kinda fun.

If you STILL struggle with Killer, thats totally on you. Killer is the easiest it has ever been right now.
Yeah that 10% pallet breaking speed certainly helps a lot, survivors can't get to other pallets at all. Not that there are like 30+ pallets in every map right? And the extra 10 whole secs added to gens! Killers don't even need gen defense perks anymore right? Tell me you don't play killer without telling me bruh.
-
Try using her dash as an anti-loop (even though it is weak and all survivors can do is just leave the loop). No point in using dash during stealth, might as well just uncrouch and attack. Use bag of gears and tampered timer add ons together, you can get a head pop using it, just crouch and look away to end chase, but keep following and harrassing the survivor off jigsaw boxes while their trap is activated. I think your main issue is you can't get those traps on quick, for that you will have to be quick with downs, pig is an M1 killer after all.
-
Surprised to see upvotes in this post. I thought no survivor in these forums used dead hard lol.

Regarding the cards and badges, sometimes new games release without them and they get added later on, so maybe they will add them.
Thanks for the info!
