A permanent tier 1 Myers is a lot of fun to play against. Aside from Freddy, Pig is probably the worst for me. Ghostface and Doctor are on the bottom too, because I see them in just about every trial.

Latency can never be 100% fixed. Hitboxes in dbd are actually completely correct and fine.
Wrong! I was on Haddonfield and jumped through a window and made it to the edge of the ledge to jump off. Freddy was still standing at the window and he recorded the hit. Hitboxes are very broken. My ping was green by the way.
-
People still have a Wackbox?
-
I got mad at what happened today. I had a key and the 3 of us was around the hatch, and for whatever reason, I couldn't open it (key glitch)! The other 2 teammates died and I escaped, I was not happy. The other was yet another hotbox issue where I was in Haddonfield and I leapt through a window to get away from Freddy, I was at the edge of the ledge to drop to the ground while Freddy was still standing at the window, he recorded a hit lol. Pissed me off!
-
Killers don't have anything game breaking? Ummm, bad hitboxes? That's the biggest game breaker of them all.
-
Can I play in some of those games? All I usually find are worthless flashlights. Also, I thought you had to run Plunderers to get keys?
-

Okay, but why should you be rewarded for not trying to improve your general survivor skill?
And you should've seen doc BEFORE the rework. His entire terror radius was a static field which CONSTANTLY made your madness go up.
Why not? Killers are being rewarded for doing nothing but whine.
-
A good killer doesn't need to camp to kill survivors. That is all I will say about that.
I don't do a lot of saves because of it. If I'm closed to a hooked survivor and I hear a heartbeat, I go find a gen, it's better than trading hooks, so to speak. Doing gens is the only way to punish a camper.
-
@Reborn2020 said:
Camping is a viable strategy. Survivors do not get penalized for camping they get penalized for afking .
All the more reasons killers should get penalized, unless they run Insidious. No one should be allowed to afk or camp.
-
Tonight alone, I've lost all 8 trials and can't get over 7500 points, with the bonuses! I went from purple to barely hanging on to green. But it's the game, nothing is going my way tonight. But I'm not going to complain about changes, because I'll have a good run of things again (hopefully soon). It bugs me how players make a big deal about things, when the reality is that we're going to have bad streaks and killers or survivors will have our number, it's just the way it goes sometimes.
-
That's the problem, killers expect to win all the time and/or not lose to lower rank survivors. This is part of the reason why these changes are coming, with the main reason being SWF frustrations. Red rank killers are good, but some are not better than most. I believe (from recent games) that killers are now deranking to take advantage of inexperienced survivors too. I like the game as it is (hitboxes aside), I was a purple rank entering tonight, but have lost all 7 matches so far. That's just the way it goes, no changes are necessary IMO.
-
I'm happy not to be a red rank, I know my lane lol.

Leatherface has a rep for camping but outside of people that meme with insidious he isn’t so bad.
The real culprits are Ghostface, Deathslinger, Wraith, Hag. Spirits as well....they technically leave the hook but always Phase walk back over and over again hoping to catch the unhook so they can tunnel.
I'd add Piggy to this list too, those seem to soft camp (that's what I call it) too.

Except he does his mathematics and then follows it up with complaining how it isn't enough because like I said, it never will be enough. The PTB wasnt even live and he was complaining about the number of extra seconds it gave and how they should be given more. It wasn't a concern it was another complaint.
The point is that he did math problems to whine, you can't make excuses for that. You killers are so whiny.
-
Funny, I've never seen a survivor post where they did math problems to validate their ability to whine.

Sorry if as a killer i don't like being run through the same infinite by all survivors because they all know them by this point. Ruin was killed to look at gen speed and big surprise it was a problem. But what did survivors say again? "Get good and apply pressure" you can still loop without your god loops so guess its your turn. Obviously if these end up being completely useless the devs will fix it thats the point of the ptb. The problem with ruin was they didnt fix gen speed while reworking it so we got the era of genrush. (And before you say killer main i play 50/50 rank 1 survivor and rank 8 killer) i personally hate the us vs them mentality but theres been a lot of it lately.
Translation: I'm a red rank killer that's bested by a survivor. Since I'm not smart enough to go after an easier target, I keep allowing myself to be looped by the more skilled survivor while the other do gens.
Yeah definitely survivor's fault.

You understand that Killing is the Killer's main objective, right? If you have a problem with the game rewarding killers so greatly for getting a kill and the amount of pressure it provides, blame the devs. Playing the game as it is now (In anticipation for the new PTB) really sets in stone for me how much needed to change and how necessary tunneling usually is if you want to have a winning game.
Ok, see here's where I'm having a problem with what some of you all are saying. You want so called God loops taken out, but tunneling and camping is ok? Looping doesn't take skill? Well explain to me how camping takes skill? You killers finally got your way, so now less matches will be won by survivors, because they're not supposed to complete a gen when a killer is not around. Don't worry though, I'm sure the next complaint will be about the Coldwind cornfields, that nerf will be coming soon too.
-
Another no skill killer crying again. As much as the devs are helping you all out, you still find something to whine about. It's so bad that you're doing math problems, lol. But survivors are the entitled group, ok.

Try making sure your connection to the dedicated survivors are good, if it's green then you won't likely get hit through windows. If you don't know the timing between window vaults or what is a safe window vault and an unsafe window fault I suggest using spine chill and resilience or learning the timings.
Also, yes survivors can be laggy as well as the killer, that's the purpose of the little rectangle before the match starts, to show you whether or not you have a good connection to the server. I for one have fairly few cases of killers that are laggy, but I do notice an abrupt change when an automatic download pops up greatly reducing the speed of interactions within the game until I turn it off.
That is garbage, my connection is always green and those hits still record. I vault out a high window and I'm halfway down...hit. I vault through a window and take 3 steps...hit. Stop making excuses, the hitboxes are terrible with the best connections. And what are you talking about with vault timing? A window is a window, there's no such thing as a safe or risky window. If I vault through and take 3 steps, or and halfway to the ground from a high point, I shouldn't get hit, bottom line.

Next will be this complaint from killers "those vultures at Dead Dog Saloon make too much noise and that helps survivors, they should be nerfed."

The ptb hasn't even dropped yet, and look at all the survivors whining about how unfair and op killer is. Wow.. We finally get some MUCH NEEDED attention and are getting brought up to somewhat of a FAIR playing field, and it's the end of the world. Get off your high horses man. Survivor had the power role for 3 years, bout time killers start to catch up... Thanks a million devs!
"We finally get some much needed attention"
LOL!!!!! What you mean to say is, "to us killers that are no good, the devs finally listened to our whining. Now I can play and think I'm a good killer!"
-
This answer's simple, the devs want to coddle and cater to bad killers that whine about being looped because they're either not smart enough, or too lazy to want to work at being a better killer. So those killers can now win trials more easily with the changes while keeping bloodlust, loose hitboxes and Ebony Mori.

Yes, survivors abusing a god loop totally makes them skilful and amazing survivors.
Wasted all the pallets in a map? no worries! just go to the broken structure that you can loop the killer around three times at least before the window gets blocked, meanwhile your team blasts out the generators. Oh, the killer left you there because they're smart enough to know that it's a waste of time? get to doing a gen since you're untouchable!
No longer will this be a reality and survivors will learn to actually be smarter with pallets and other vaulting locations without relying on the poor map design.
Whining about these changes, which are factually overall better for the health of the game, does make you entitled.
The same thing happened with the exhaustion nerf, self care nerf, borrowed time nerf and decisive strike nerf. Survivors complained but look where we are now. Killers got their Ruin taken away and had little say in it, even though most people disagreed, it still went through.
You either accept it or kick and scream, it doesn't matter.
Yes, just like NOED and Ebony Mori make killers amazing and good. Both sides got things out of whack. Complaining about a perk is one thing, but complain because you can't make adjustments in your game as a killer to manipulate a situation to your advantage? That just means you're a terrible killer that's not willing to put the work in to get better. I've never seen so many killers whine about trivial things because they're just not good killers. I don't loop, I'm terrible at it. But I do other things to use the environment to my advantage. That's call skill, maybe you should try to work on developing some. Then again, the devs are holding you killer's hands again because you all cry like babies.

Entitled survivor mains who think either the smallest changes or much needed changes for the overall health of the game are going to kill it. Why? because they can't safely repair a generator miles away on one side of the map, or abuse god loops anymore. Don't pay them any mind, it's pure salt because they are having one of their many, MANY tools taken away from them.
Entitled survivor mains? Yeah, let me read the changes again, because it looks like they've made these changes after hearing entitled killer mains whine like babies about how unfair it is because I don't know...they're not good killers.

I think this is a buff to those top 10% swf squads who split up on gens. This will only affect low tier gameplay. But hey, it’s nice to see that bhvr can acknowledge that gen times are to fast.
I think you're right about SWF, but everyone else is collateral damage. The lower ranks, or even me as a green rank solo survivor, will have trouble getting through gens, much of the time will be spent being chased off and unhooking teammates. I'll have to experience it in action to see how it will affect things though.
-
Lol did you not read the changes they will be making? The only thing good for survivors is that you get 300 points for great skill checks, which to me seems like dev trolling. Killers get their way more and more thanks to whiners, while survivors still have to deal with bad hitboxes and Ebony Mori. To those that think keys are unfair, well survivors need them more now, at least they'll have something in their favor when the hatch becomes an option.

Yea rank 1-3 swf, you abandon a chase at the god loop, you find someone else, this person runs to the god loop, you abandon the chase, find a person, this person runs to the god loop,... and so on.
Sure, its not always that bad, but seriously you just outright declare it a safe zone for suvivors and if a killer always abandons the person there, he tells his friends and so they keep going their until the last gen pops. The problem is, it can be abused and if so its unfair ---> needs balancing.
Lol! If you as a killer let someone run to a location, then you're a terrible killer that's not good of smart enough to cut off a survivor's path. I can't imagine a killer engaging in a chase in an area of the map and chasing them all the way to the so called God loop. Thanks for the laugh with your silly comment!

This is like the hundredth noed killed me post and I'm just alittle tired of them. It has so many counters SO SO MANY COUNTERS and people are just too fcking lazy to do bones.
Noed still requires the killer, find, catch, hit, and hook you and you can still be saved... noed... and stay with me here people can be defeated by walking out the powered exit gates.
Noed is only on when the gates are on... so leave.
I agree with you, I'm always doing bones, if there's a gen and a totem in the same area, I'm hitting that totem first. Some areas though are hard for me to find them because of the layout, but I break what I can. It's frustrating to see your team completely ignore them, then get mad when NOED slaps them.
-
If a survivor is good, it's because they've used a combination of perks and skill to become strong. Killers start with a specific power, I'm not saying it makes them instantly stronger, but it does give them a slight advantage. Imagine if they had to select their power the same way the survivors have to select toolboxes, med kits, etc., killers would really have a fit then. However, combine their power with the right add-ons and that makes them seem OP. But once the get beat with their super killer, that's when the whining and nerf requests start.
I've played against bad killers and I've played against great killers. I'm a green rank survivor, I'm not terrible, but I'm not the best either. Just about all perks and powers can be countered in one way or another, so to me, things like NOED are not OP. All of the information that I've gathered from playing, watching and reading, makes me more than capable of sharing my opinion, even if I don't play killer.
-
Your post is 100% false. Just because someone only plays one side, that means they can't understand what the other side goes through while reading and watching videos? Or, maybe they just understand the situation by being in trials themselves. I play survivor and I get on BOTH sides about their whining. All you're saying is "when I complain about something, no should fire back with anything if they don't have the knowledge, because I know the ones that does would agree with me and I don't have to argue back and forth". What's funny is that some of the people that's supposed to have the knowledge you're looking for, doesn't know much themselves. You can believe what you want, but I'm still going to voice my opinion, because I don't have to be a killer to understand a situation. Bottom line, Killers that whine about nerfs and loops are bad killers. Survivors that whine are bad survivors.

@Kebek said:
That's their favourite excuse to nerf any killer/perk that is somewhat useful. Once devs see that survivors aren't having fun with something calling it boring they'll look into why do they call it boring and do "adjustments". All good killers/perks were called boring many many times and decent portion of them were already changed. Only few remain that weren't "adjusted" yet and hopefully devs won't change their mind about them and actually change them for the worse to appeal to these unjustified complains.
Isn't it funny how they never call weak killers with very simple powers boring, probably because they win against them easily which isn't boring for them.
And killers say these same things you're saying about survivors. And the devs are listening to killers, nerfing toolboxes and changing the so called Ironworks God loop. I'm a survivor and I'm bored with Ghostface because he's been in most of my trials over the last couple of weeks, even more than Doctor. So I'd like to see some other killers, just played against a Trapper for the first time in about a month, but yeah tired of Ghostface.

Noed rework request
No longer a hex.
Is now base game for all killers
Now also has unlimited aura reading
Extended lunge range by 12M for all basic attacks
And the exit gates are blocked for 20minutes use of hatch is instant death instead
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/141535/noed-nerf-rework-request
New noed can be disabled if no survivor brings adrenaline DS DH or toolbox
Idk why survivors feel so entitled to escape that literally anything killers do needs a nerf. Like seriously its not like noed auto sacs you when the gates are powered he still has to find-chase-hit and hook you without anyone flash lighting or sabo 2 seconds.
Yeah, because killers never whine about how unfair the game is to them, right?
-
My favorite is when you're left with someone and they camp the hatch and don't try to save you, but I guess I can't blame them much for that, even though it still bugs me. Going back to some of the posts here, the one about how survivors run off after unhooking them is dead on, it's even crazier when I see someone self caring and I offer to heal them and they just ignore me, so I leave them. I run Kindred every once in a while, but I see enough incompetence just seeing the auras when I'm hooked, kinda don't want to see more of it.
-
Spine chill, Lithe and Dance with me I use a lot.
-
The rest of you all are right on. I've had the same thing happen with the phantom pallet stun hit too. It's almost like if it's assumed that the killer was going to use his attack, then they will record the hit off that assumption. Between that and the plastic arm hits after vaulting, it ruins the fun of a game that's already got its share of problems.

Killers need to
be toned down a bit. Camping, ebony mori’ing these need to be addressed.
it just ruins the experience for the individual who inevitably gets caught
my reasoning for survivors deserving multiple and many chances is because That’s what makes this game fun! I want more interactions getting chased by the killer. But when you implement something that literally kicks you out of the game, it’s unacceptable. I know 4 survivors v 1 killer you think he’s outnumbered, and I’m a rank 4 survivor. But more often than not I see overkill on killers side of things. Ebony Mori is usually what causes that. That and I can’t believe camping still happens at high rank play but it does. By camping I don’t even mean hanging out near a hooked survivor, the high mobility ones are just as guilty. Ones that are across the map but can easily phase or chainsaw back to the hooked survivor as soon as he gets unhooked. All I’m saying is there have to better installments to defend yourself than what’s currently available. It’s not enough. DS is a one time use that only does 5 seconds? That’s not enough to get away when you’re leaving 7 seconds of scratch marks. You can’t treat a DS like a wiggle off. It takes up a perk slot it should be stronger.
I can agree with this, the most interesting and fun thing about this game is the opportunity and lucky breaks you can get with staying alive. With a killer having Ebony Mori, a lot of survivors don't get that opportunity to enjoy the round and lately, once I see a survivor die by Ebony, I check out of the match. I don't DC, but I go through the motions.
-
We're having a current discussion about this on another post. I don't get why people think a key is an automatic win when it isn't, compared to the Ebony Mori. Not saying that's a guarantee either, but the success rate is much higher than the key.
-
@emptyCups said:

Listen... all it takes is a single death for a survivor to feel like they lost. While the killer needs three to feel they've one.
Emblems-BP- trophies-endscreen all support needing 4 kills for victory.
Look at all the stats people put out when they do a study. Killers loose around 80% of matches no matter how you "feel" about that. Personally I go almost an entire week of play as survivor before a killer manages to get me once. Killers ARE weak unless you make tremendous mistakes as survivor.
Well, not everyone is as good as you. A lot of us are average survivors, so even when we have our moments, we have times where we just can't catch the breaks. That doesn't make all killers out to be weak.

@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
I'm just gonna repost what i already suggested in the feedback section:
My first change to keys would be a change to how the hatch spawns.
Currently the hatch spawns/is visible when 1 more gen is done than the number of survivors that are still alive in the trial
Example: 3 Survivors are left and need to complete 4 gens before the hatch spawns.
This system allowed situation where games ended faster then they should have.
My idea is,let the hatch only spawn when all gens are finished or only one survivor is left.
Furthermore:
-Green keys get 20 seconds of use and are also able to open the hatch
-Purple keys get 25 seconds of use
-Every key has an aura reading ability of 32m (The same like the token Addons)
-Scratched Perl Rarity changed from yellow to brown
-Scratched Perl increases the aura reading ability by 4m,Eroded Token by 8m and Gold Token by 12m.(Those Addons can also increase the aura reading range of the Blood Amber Addon)
With these changes the key can still serve as a strong item with it's aura reading ability it will help you to locate your teammates (or the killer with the Blood Amber Addon) to plan your next steps more easily and also enables you to escape through the hatch after the killer managed to close it without ending games faster then they should have.
And Moris (green and red ones) should only be usable when a survivor has either reached struggle state or got hooked 2 times before.
This is pretty good, though the hatch already spawns when there's a lone survivor left. What about for the killer, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt shows the hatch when it's available, to give them a chance to prevent it from opening? If you take this and rework the Ebony, this is pretty fair I think.
-
Well well, I see how this goes. Killers complain about a so called God loop because they have no skill and the Devs remove it. Survivors vault a window and take 3 steps and a killer still hits them, but no changes on that. Devs want killers to win, cool I got it. And before anyone thinks I'm salty by this, I'm terrible at looping. I'm just calling it how I see it.
