And here we have the hook abuser commenting. Bravo, friend.

I agree with you and the other posters that T-bagging survivors should be punished too. Because most of them happen at Endgame, I figure that they'll have to get creative with a solution. But having the entity block the gates on them is not a bad place to start.

Ah, the ol 'If I don't like a Killer/Perk/map, I quit'.
If BHVR supported this mindset, then the Survivors would pick who the Killer plays, and all we'd see is Clown.
Indeed my friend. But, if camping is allowed without penalty, then so should this.

As both killer and survivor i find it absolute bullshit. Happens in a good chunk of my games. When someone does it, either because they don't like the killer or they don't like that they were first downed. It completely ruins the game, basically guarantees the killer will win, and also makes the killer lucky to black pip. It's bad for everyone in the game and there is no excuse to not treat it the same as a D/C
Sorry man, if it's Ghostface I'm going against, I'm out. Take my depip, I'll live. I purposely make noise so I can get caught.

If you can't handle a red ranked survivor team then maybe you are not meant to be in the ranks you are! i play multiple red rank teams everyday some i loose some i draw some i win. but to suggest that every game is a festival that just means you are not as skill based as the survivors you are facing. In simple words yeah maybe you should downgrade and get back to red ranks when you are more experienced in handling such groups.
I agree with you. The problem is though, him deranking contributes to the bad matchmaking that is currently going on.

Survivor main here and all I'm going to say is that those survivors are entitled idiots. It's ok for them to t-bag, but you kill them and they b****. You should've replied that they should kiss your you know what lol.

I cant believe how many people complain about killer doing the killers job. The killer is meant to kill you. He's not meant to scare you off gens and then reward you for escaping. He's mean to kill you. You're not entitled to the hatch if you're last alive. The killer isnt meant to follow your rules. He's meant to follow behaviours rules but he's not meant to follow your rule set.

How can someone be this entitled. Dear killer mains. If you decide to get a 4k you're thirsty for bloodpoints. No debate. You're not supposed to kill last survivor apparently.
The same can be said for killers that complain about survivors escaping, that's their job. Should I make a post about that to counter yours?

It doesn't matter if it affects solo or not, see is in the game and you can't ignore it because solo is weaker. You either nerf swf, or buff killer and solo. Pretending it's not part of the game solves nothing.
How about change the rules for SWF and keep everything else the same. Other games change their rules depending on the game mode, it can happen for this one too.
-
You shouldn't feel bad, but T-bagging and clicking the flashlight wasn't cool.
-
(PS4) During the day, queue times are not bad, no more than 4 minutes. At night, I'm waiting at least 8-10 minutes. Killer queues are 2-3 minutes tops no matter what time it is.

I'd like to know too. Once in a blue moon, I'd do the 360 move and buy a bit of time. Other than that, once the killer is in range, it's a hit. It'd be nice to see the ping, or better yet, overhaul dedicated servers to make it better for everyone.

I'm sorry, but that's the silliest thing I've heard in a while. Swf isn't some mod that you can choose not to play against. It's a feature in the game, so it 100% should apply to the game as a whole.
No, it doesn't. Things that happen in SWF doesn't apply at all to what happens in solo survivor. SWF has voice chat, does it not? Perks are better in SWF because of voice chat, are they not? Killers are at a major disadvantage in SWF, are they not? Explain to me how these things apply to solo survivor, I'll wait. How about you stop whining and don't play SWF, yeah? Thanks man.

So as you can see in the photo above there, the killer lost 3 survivors and only managed to kill one. Now I have a pretty decent killer here with the right add-ons, a pretty high level killer (just 40) and damn good perks. Yet I still manage to let 3 survivors escape. Bit weird no? This game ended very quickly, in less that 10 mins or so 3 of the survivors had already escaped. I can't help but notice how unfair the game is for killers now.
As for the last few weeks now I've tried to go back to playing killer instead of playing survivor but I always end with the same sad results. Either I equip an ebony mori or they all escape. What kind of a joke is this. I put pressure on the map, I take down survivors, I have NOED for when the last generator is done.
What'S going on with DBD? Aren't players meant to have fun instead of stressing over things like this. Countless matches that I have played are all like this, unless I equip an ebony mori and they all die. Other than that it's almost impossible to get a decent game. What do you want me to do? 😔
What we want you to do is stop complaining and get better. When I play killer, I'm lucky if I get 2 kills. Now I don't play killer often, but I know that if I stay with it and find a good combination of perks and add-ons, I'd be a little better, SWF aside. I'm not going to whine and say x perk should be nerfed and maps should be changed because survivors are doing they're job, I just got to do better at doing mine.

That's cute. 4 man swf squad comes in on coms. 4 players on 4 gens on a coldwin map. Hey, it's a wraith, he's on me, keep working on gens. Alright, he hit me and is headed towards cow tree, get off that gen now, im on the gen by shack. 3 gens pop. Crap guys, im fixing to go down, hide in the locker on the jungle gym and hit him with head on. Ok, I'm jumping in the locker, use the locker tech flashlight save that's impossible to counter. Well, the gens are done, ggez, be sure to teabag the toxic killer at the gates.
Then your issue is with SWF, not the game. I really wish you guys would stop complaining about things that are SWF related, SWF trials shouldn't apply to the overall game as a whole.

The idea of a Friday the 13th game was awesome, until I played it. Downloaded it for free through PS Plus and after a few matches, I was done. The controls were cluncky and the character movement was very stiff. I also didn't care for the voice chats between counselors and Jason, because there were troll counselers that helped Jason. And this game was supposed to be better than Dead By Daylight, but it fell on its face, IMO. It would be smart for the F13 devs to release the rights of Jason to DBD, but I seriously doubt if that happens.
Which brings me to this and everyone else has said it already, Trapper is not Jason. Trapper can't teleport and Jason might have used a bear trap once? Other than a machete and a mask, there are not a lot of similarities between the two.

Youre not hearing me. Yes, if you face camp you can be gen rushed (and probably deserve it). However if you dont camp you can also be gen rushed. Both things are true. Thats my point
I'm sorry man, I just get tired of reading killers complain about stuff constantly, even after the pro killer changes the devs made. I'm a very average survivor that sucks at looping, but I can't complain because I have to work on my craft to get better. So I can be a bit passionate when seeing the same topics, my fault.
-
I hate that you are leaving for now, a big reason that matchmaking is happening like this is because there are killers that are deranking to bully lower ranked survivors. In a ton of my matches lately, I've gone against really skilled killers that knew what they were doing, sacrificing high purple ranks and a few reds even. I get to the results screen and they're rank 16s and 17s, with some learned purple perks. Something fishy is going on and I believe this is why with killers such as yourself are getting paired with red ranks.
-
The only time I've had 5 minute games is when the killer (usually Ghostface) was on me as soon as the game started and the other survivors didn't come to unhook me. Doesn't happen that often.

That I would agree with, but we cant pretend like gen rushing doesnt happen even when a killer does everything right. Good teams get thise gens dine stupid quick and tgeres not much you can do about it
We can't pretend because that's not true. What I said is fact. Killers camp, survivors do gens, then killers complain about gen rushing. I've gotten quite a few comments about that, sadly. Now, if it's not an occasional occurrence, that's ok, you can't play a clean game all the time, I sure don't. From what it sounds like you're saying is that killers are being gen rushed quite often, even if they're doing everything right, which I would say that you are very wrong as the days are long. If that's the case, then you are a terrible killer, bottom line. But you won't admit that. As a solo survivor, I don't see many gen rushing games and when I do, the killer is usually camping. If you're doing SWF, don't include what happens in those games with solo games, because there's a difference between the two.

Everytime I play a game of killer, a survivor(s) tell me "LOL, git gud F****t" so does that means I did something wrong?
I think the real winners are people that don't need to be a dick in order to enjoy the game, do you agree?
Those survivors are just assclowns, screw em. I'm a survivor main and crap like that irritates me, because then I'd probably be subjected to get abused on the hook because of their toxic behavior. I emphasize with you killers that play the right way and have to deal with that nonsense, just keep doing what you're doing.

With people complaining about "gen-rushing" and the recent need to slow gens down in the latest patch. It got me thinking. The game should require the Survivors to complete 6 gens rather than 5.
6 gens wouldn't be all that much a problem for Survivors. You can 3-gen yourselves, and 6 gens would just need to be more careful of that late game.
It would also help balance some perks a bit better that help gens get done, toolboxes (though the recent changes to them I like), and would stop the whole "gen-rushing" thing.
What y'all think?!
There's no gen rushing if killers didn't camp.

It's official, they announced it in the last stream. Here are the relevant sections from the full summary post I made on the stream explaining it:
Any news on fixing hitboxes or hits through windows?
The short answer is yes. They are planning to make a number of fixes related to hit registration in order to make hits feel more fair. One change which is planned to be implemented “very soon” is introducing server-side hit validation. What this means is that every time the killer hits a survivor, the server will check whether the hit makes sense according to the information that it (the server) has available (such as the survivor’s relative position, for example). The goal is that such a change will make current issues like being hit through windows, through walls, or from a long way away a lot more fair than they are now. If the server decides that the hit was not valid, the survivor will not take damage and the game will continue as normal.
(Having said that, it should be noted that being able to hit survivors through windows in general is intended design; hitting survivors who are already far away on the other side of a vault, however, is not.)
...
Since the introduction of the dedicated servers, survivor ping in general has been lowered significantly. Killer ping obviously has not, given that they had a ping of 0 before, but their ping is still not unusually high.
The main problem here is that killers with high ping do have a number of unfair advantages compared to killers playing on lower ping, and the developers do have plans to rectify this issue – for example, the introduction of server-side, rather than killer-side, hit validation as discussed earlier. One of the functions that feature will have is that it will “reject” a hit if the information it receives from the killer is too far (maybe five seconds, for example) outdated.
I like the sound of this, thanks for sharing!

Well In all honesty this is not all that true. Right as soon as the 3rd survivor is being chased or on the hook I tend to find the hatch before the killer while I walk around any map. But mind you I also play killer. Now sometimes I don’t find it and I die but usually I find it right as the 3rd survivor is on the hook.
I didn't mention anything as true or false. I talked about my trials and matter of opinion. I also said that if they're like me, that's what usually happens. I've tried to find it when the 3rd survivor is being chased too, if it's available, often times the gen requirement hasn't been met for me to look for it.
-
If a killer camps, do gens and watch them come post here about how they're being gen rushed.
-
They should play with me as the last survivor. The killers ALWAYS find the hatch and closes it. As far as keys, it's rare in my trials (PS4) that people bring in keys, so I'd have to imagine that what you're describing doesn't happen very often. Unless the survivor is very much in the killer's proximity, I'd think it'd be difficult to locate the hatch after it's been closed. Well, if they're like me and don't study hatch locations, that is.

@CantDeadHarder said:
Killers usually do it because either the survivor was being rude or because the survivor was being good at the game.
In my experience I've been camped because they chose to throw away 5 gens to chase me, then they bm me on the hook.
It's incredible how much sand you can put into an emotional killer's undies.
It makes you wonder, what is the killer's purpose of playing, if all they're going to do is either camp or abuse hooked survivors? Then those are the same killers that will complain about being gen rushed, even though they're choosing to waste their time on someone that can't even do anything.

I mean you don't get any points for teabagging a killer 10+ ranks below you, when you've already easily won the match either. Or for blocking the hook with your body, but I guess at least that has a purpose. Same goes for face camping,or tunneling one person. Anything that frustrates or taunts the other side and gains no tangible reward.
The killer has no way to emote like the survivors. Can maybe shake their head at best. Some are probably just saying "gotcha" by doing it. If it's a new player maybe they don't know better and just think its funny,or they are excited they finally caught someone. A lot of the things are stupid and pointless, but I'm sure the person doing the stupid things know what it means lol.
Most people are going to know it's a pointless thing to do. It's wasting time, and could possibly leave you open for a unsafe save by someone with Borrowed Time,or to be blinded so someone can get the save. If they are doing it repeatedly then they are probably just going to camp,at which point it's a free opportunity to do gens. Then they either get one kill,or have to go after the popping gens so someone can get the save. So in theory they are already being penalized.
I play both sides. Mained survivor since launch, and just switched to killer main this year because of the queue times mostly. Maybe they are mad. It happens. There are some pretty frustrating things that can happen on occasion. It wouldn't be easy to penalize,it's the attack animation,ha. Just like they can't penalize teabagging because maybe you are ducking on purpose, idk. With the hitboxes it might be hard for the game to recognize they are hitting you and not the person unhooking you. Sometimes you swing after an unhook and it doesn't count as a hit towards either person already, lmao.
I don't do any of that stuff though. I go in, do gens, beak bones and save teammates, then I get out of there. I try to avoid any interaction with the killer as possible, so it frustrates me when I get hooked and I'm being abused. Now, if I get rescued and am able to escape the trial, then yeah I'm T-bagging by butt off as a f you. But I play the right way and I don't think it's right to be abused because of it.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
Don't get your hopes up on them making the hit authority server side, that would actually ruin killer play, high ping killers would be completely unable to play. Getting hit through windows and stuff is frustrating, but imagine playing as killer, very clearly getting the hit, but the server says nope, you get no hit and suffer the CD, survivor gets to a pallet and you lose the chase. I know the devs said they are considering doing something with it, but I can tell you for sure it will not stick around so don't get your hopes up. Hit authority needs to be killer sided, because it is critical to their mechanics and play.
Hit authority need to be killer sided? I'm sorry, but saying that bad hitboxes should be in the game to aid killers is ridiculous. Only badly skilled killers would agree with this.
-
As far as the topic, it really bothers me when killers abuse hooked survivors. They don't get any points for it, so why do it? Is it because they're bad(mad) at the game and want to take it out on hooked survivors? It makes no sense to me. I wish that they could be penalized for that, but they won't.

No PS4. I guess I should've been more clear. Was just my experience over the past two days. Maybe I'm just getting unlucky. I though it was some new thing I didn't know about. Saw at least 10 Haddonfield offerings in two play sessions. Green rank PS4. I obviously don't know who brought the offerings as far as individual survivors, but all the matches I counted usually had two reds and two purples.
Maybe I just happened to get the people that are good at looping and they know you can do some sick runs at Haddonfield. Was just getting me frustrated and was curious if other people noticed the offering was coming up a lot,and if people still think the map needs a rework, etc.
That's Odd. I'm a survivor main and I'm not much of a fan of the Haddonfield map (or Bradford School for that matter), I don't know why people would choose that map, other than to just get rid of the offering. If it's for looping, I wouldn't know because I'm a terrible looper, lol.
-
Is this a PC thing? I'm on PS4 and the only time I see location offerings is when the killer brings them.

It exists because this game is supposed to be pro killer. It's even more fun when it's combined with a Ebony Mori.

I mean, the devs latest changes are pro killer, so why not have them hold the game hostage? The devs take loops and pallets away and shorten the maps so whiny killers can think they're as good as skilled killers, but all these changes just give them more opportunities to face camp and slug, which is just what they wanted.

PS4 matchmaking is crap. Killers purposely deranking kinds hurts you too. I come across level 16s with ultra rare and learned perks and strong add-ons pretty regularly and all they want to do is bully the lower ranks.
