DeBecker, quotes are broken at the moment, but this is a response to you.
STB is incredibly strong, so strong that it has to come with a downside. However, killers who DO NOT proxy camp cant take advantage of that downside, so it's just sheer power against fair killers.
Its not that strong at all. Its only strong in a 4 man SWF against a tunneling killer. Otherwise it does next to nothing against fair killers.

I just wish they will never touch that perk.
If ever headon will become meta, or just common perk, that will be hell for killers.
If you want to make it easier to use, then nerf duration of stun. The stun duration is already not worth it, because the animations take up a lot of time. Its already not in line with the other exhaustion perks. a nerf would make it borderline niche.
And why shouldnt surivors be allowed to have perks to fight back? Cause killers just want to be untouchable?

Thats what snowsballs are useful for.

The game went 8 years without it happening, then it happened twice in a span of roughtly half a year: Both times to things mostly/exclusively available to players who pay real money AND not being adressed in a short time period AND by a company everyone knows only cares about the game from a financial perspective.
Claiming that bhvr did this on purpose is really hilarious.
-
gg bhvr for making the event as miserable as possible. You never learn anything.

It also kicks nice killers in the gut who don't camp hooks. They can't even take advantage of the exposed status since they arent near the hook camping it.
How does it kick them in the gut? Those killers dont lose out on anything against StB.

Indeed gen speeds are too fast, but instead of complaining about it I accept it and adapt by tunneling asap. My style of play is strong early game, find survivor asap and tunnel them out. Mid game is a bit poor yes unless survivors mess up badly but then end game is strong with noed. I figure more often than not, gens are being completed no matter what so might as well prepare for the end game. 🤷♂️ Works pretty well for me
Gens arent too fast. Maybe you should start learn how to play killer skillfully and not just rely on cheap game design.

I actually think that's one of the times tunneling is fine. If you're a 4 man swf you already decided this is a comp match more or less.
Or not at all. Twisted logic as always.

The problem is the proposed tunnelling nerf also hits Killers that do not tunnel who might NEED to pressure a hook at the end, thus encouraging slugging and proxying hooks instead.
If you need tp pressure a hook thats still tunneling at that point. Your own fault for losing at this point.

Peek variety is a good thing and it seems like the devs don't like that.
Cause its still stupid to force perks onto survivors for rng.

WIndows has been one of the most used perks for a reason. Nerfing this perks will give a more accurate reading on killer performance.
Why?

Are we really still salty that tunneling got a nerf against 4-man SWFs?

Will there be Shoulder The Burden changes in hotfix 2?
BHVR already made an official announcement that Thrill of the Hunt will be changed in hotfix 2, but didn’t say if hotfix 2 will have Shoulder The Burden changes?
For what reason? Being unable to tunnel against a 4 man SWF?
-
Trill is fodder for birds. Good brand though.
To be honest: everyone trying to defend TotH cant be taken seriously. There is nothing to discuss on this matter.

Compensation for what? Making the game as miserable as possible to all survivors? This forum is really beyond any help.

Nothing changed in playing against him.

I dont think that is on the table, im trying to massage bHVR into a compromise.
Compromises only end in sorrow. always been, always will be.
-
Or we just hope that bhvr stops thinking being perma-broken is a fair tradeoff, and just remove no mither, cause it just hurts the team.

In the Survivor rulebook™ it is bad if the killer slugs for the 4k, or doesn't "be nice" and let one go at the end, but for some reason when survivors stomp the killer, they never let the killer get a pity kill, they always HAVE to play as toxic as possible to get all 4 out. Why is that?
Just asking questions.
- Killer having a 4k or 3k doesnt really make any difference. A survivor surviving or not makes a great difference.
- Its not toxic to escape with 4 people, but it is sweaty to slug for the 4k. Nothing to discuss here unless you have no morals.
- Youre not just asking questions, you try to to make up another "us vs them" with bias.
-
I doubt that.
-
Cause you can close the distance to zero with him in contrast to huntress.

@SidneysBane1996 said:
They should never remove this, let Killers have things. Killers are allowed to have things. Killers are allowed to dominate in matches just as Survivors can.
The finisher Mori isn't why people slug more and it's not why people stopped giving hatch; that was a rarity even before this for about a half a year.
The game is horror-themed. Survivors in a horror movie are intended to die and only SOME get out, or all die. That is what you're supposed to be paying for and it's what the Devs have finally, finally achieved after 8 years of nonsense.
Let. Killers. Have. Things.
How can you even try to pretend this? From Day 1 on live you have seen the rise in slugging for the second to last survivor.

But what happened to
Dont want to get tunneled? Use DS, OTR etc
Dont want to get camped? Reassurance, Camaradiere, etc
Dont want to get slugged? Unbreakable, Exponential, No Mither, etcThats exactly kliller hypocrisy. If survivors dont want something to happen just use perks. Devs always try to band-aid fix their broken gameplay by forcing survivors into perks they dont want to run by force. So just because devs dont stop their failed attempts its fine to you? But the thing here is: its not even a failed attempt on band-aid ficxing their game, its just a failed attempt on buffing a perk. And (at least) such things has always been undone by bhvr.

I thought I made it clear in the post, but I'll explain. If the killer is not camping the hook, the survivors will be able to use the perk freely without any punishment, until you arrive on the hook, the exposed survivor will be long gone, that's what happened to me. So you basically lose a kill from a survivor who would be on the last hook because you were not camping and there's nothing you can do about it. So this just forces the killer to camp the hook instead of going out and chasing other survivors.
I dont know if you understand what it means to play nice or how this perk acutally works. Hook states dont vanish into nothingness.
-
As if BHVR would ever come to the great conclusion to reset MMR at decent times. Done make me laugh.
-
How does it punish a killer that plays nice?
-
Killer bias at its best.
-
How about no? Forcing perks on people is a no-go.

Because you should always balance the game around what the best players are capable of, not the average player.
Do you think nurse needs a nerf too?
Why would you balance a game that isnt competitive around the biggest minority?
-
Cause game time doesnt mean theyre better than you generally. And MMR doesnt even count in game time. Also matchmaking is screwed by queue times and refills.
-
Hit detection is just awfully off in dbd in general. Ive days with legit 3 out of 4 hits that visually did not connect. Not even close. And if i look at the ping at this moment nothing is off the charts, on neither side.
-
There is still no causality in this.
-
I really need to turn them off somehow.
-
The only good thing was the map, and this isnt even coming right now. Just more content without any need nor reasoning.
-
"Truth" by Biased Killer. Its kind amazing how poeple talk about truth and ignore 80% of its logic.

Why should people play a role they obviously dont want to play?

For me, it is that easy: Just get some friends in comms, and there's not much Killers can do in my experience. But your experience is valid too. It's just not the experience MOST people are having. Most people agree, it's Survivor-sided. Pretty heavily so. Maybe you just get really good Killers?
If you think this is so easy, why isnt it happening so often? Right, because its not that easy.

That's not how balance works. "Last time it was sided to one side, so this time we will make it sided to another side."
If you hate it that much, then don't play it. I find it terminally a bore and much too easy as Survivor if I SWF, and an extended and enhanced version of being stuck with a bunch of non-hook-save potatoes who won't do gens as SoloQ. I also find it boring as Killer because of 30 minute queues, not having ANY of my Mains in the mode, and games lasting 8 minutes because all me and my friend ever get are good Survs that do gens before we can ever get a single Kill (we prefer to be nice and spread hooks, which powers Survivors up and means we lose, we just frankly lose every round).
It's not fun, I am not having fun, so I am not playing it. I suggest if you're also not having fun, instead of complaining the Survivor easy mode is too hard for you, you simply don't play.I didnt say a single word about balance. And yeah, I am not playing that gamemode more than necessary for obvious reasons. But if you think its that easy as survivor, youre just dead wrong.

It doesnt even matter if she has been nerfed a thousand times or just once if she is still the most OP killer.

If you struggled that hard in 2v8 last time, IDK what to tell you, because my games were pretty even both sides last time if a bit harder and quicker because Survs had more tools. And now, it's hilariously Survivor-sided if you have even remotely some teammates with you and some coordination.
The mode is 30 minutes for Killer because you can play with a friend. No other mode has that. That doesn't mean the experience is any better.
Its common sense, that last time it was totally killersided. Its still killersided by now cause there is no coordination with 7 other players. You cant pretend that its survivorsided just when you have a full communication team. The mode is just extremely annoying for survivors cause its just a big clusterfuck and you often get tagteamed, which both is entirely impossible to solve.

bad ping=advantage for killers
that shouldn't even be a thing. bad ping shouldn't give you an advantage.
So the opposing 4 survivors have still a disadvantage. It doesnt change anything.

Why is her kill rate so low then?
If she's so easy to play well, and so OP, why does she not have the highest pick rate and highest kill rate?
Stats don't lie, most people cannot play Nurse.
Most players quit halfway (and play her occasionaly again). Most players dont bother even learning. Most players are bad no matter the character. Choose whatever reason you want.

She is far from OP. Is she sometimes hard to deal with? Yes…There's a difference though. Also Nurse has had many changes and nerfs. She use to have 6 blinks sooooo……
Yeah lets just ignore common sense here to defend nurse being S-tier for ages.

With the lowest kill rate, becsuse she's incredibly difficult to play well.
So difficult that playing her for 50+ games means you can go against 90% of all players.

This mode was Survivor Sided but fair in the first iteration. It's currently even more Survivor sided in this iteration. Killers got nerfed basekit info, must pick up, and now have to worry about classes. Many of the buffs got reduced from the last version too. If you hook you power up Survivors and reward them with an extra skill AND faster gens if you do it too much, so hooking is punished.
Meanwhile the catch-up mechanic can be negated for Killers by just running Guide no matter how hard they pressure gens.
This mode was hilariously killersided in the first iteration. And it didnt changed much at all, otherwise killer queues wouldnt be 30 minutes.
-
Whats the difference?

Any other survivors feel the same? 1v4 just seems so tedious and frustrating compared to 2v8. In 2v8 there's constant excitement, and you get much cooler abilities. It also never feels like games are over in the first 2 minutes like in 1v4, you're able to make a comeback as survivor. I just wish the devs would make 2v8 permanent because it's like an upgraded version of the game.
Dont really know which game you play, but it cant be dbd.
