the p100 means nothing, you can p100 a killer (or survivor) with out playing them at all.
Here is how it works :

More detailed here :
Whats your point anyway?

If you win more than you lose your MMR increases. It's pretty straight forward.
Are you saying you want to escape a lot but not face tougher opponents?
Thats exactly NOT how MMR works.

Time has passed since Skull Merchant's boring and harmful tactics took hold, and she no longer has the power to do so. To be honest, the current system is more of a hindrance to killer play options than a way to counter nasty tactics.
Some perks unintentionally trigger the generator lock-up countermeasure system, and there are many matches where the number of times you can kick a generator is simply limited for no reason, which is frustrating. I would like the generators to be reverted to their previous state.
Anti-3-Gen has little to do with the state of Dullmerchant. Its still an issue of (really) bad gen placement. I just played Had-No-Fun-Field and even after two gens in sight of dejavu were completed there were still 3 gens so damn near to each other it was completely nuts (but hey, whoevers idea it was to shrink haddonfield down to a bathroom size). As long as devs ignore gen placement, this bad-aid-fix needs to stay.
-
Instead of trying to fix some issues, they completely went nuts again. In addition to every stealth nerf through out the last years (massive influx of aura read perks vs massive nerfs of stealth perks) they completely sealed off any possibility to play stealthy as survivor who arent good loopers, whom is the most part of the playerbase. Just another pretty good job on killing variation on survivor builds. Those changes are beyond understanding.

For winning maybe? Have you ever played mid or low tier killers on the highest MMR? You will always have matches where you are forced to kill one survivor fast because it's much easier to deal with only 3 survivors. Otherwise you have to sweat your ass off plus it depends on the map you get (DbD unfortunately have many unbalanced maps). People still complaining about tunneling in 2024 is crazy. It's part of the game - like camping, slugging, gen rushing, teabagging etc. Of course the tunneled survivor doesn't have much fun in that situation but do you think the killer has if gens are flying? That's why you have perks like DStrike, OTR or Blood Rush (combined with an exhaustion perk) which guarantee you one (!) protection against tunneling. But why should the game give you two protections (full life and DStrike or Endurance effect through OTR)? That's just OP. Especially when - like its_vk described it correctly - survivors abuse these effects to tank hits for others or later in the game when the killer just randomly find and chase them again (that's not tunneling) and still have to fight through a DStrike or an OTR although these people are full life and got unhooked like 55 - 75 seconds ago. Do you think that's fair?
Here wo go again, the same old stories as always. If that is your mindset and knowledge, there is no point in discussing anything. Defending anything like this is embarassing escpecially in nigh 2025.
-
Nerfing WGLF during slugging epidemic is the best example of how seriously devs go about their own game.
-
Cause literally no perk changed in a new way, and most of those tweaks are just insignificant.
-

You can call that tunneling but if you're full life you have a life state to tank a hit with and not going down instantly unless the killer has a oneshot. So why do you need a second extra life with DStrike or OTR?
Why does the killer need to tunnel?
-
So if theyre fully healed it isnt tunneling anymore? You cant be serious.
Also if you hook a survivor for the first time right next to a gate in endgame, its your fault. Not the fault of a perk that can only activate once.

Looks like your math isn't that great lol just because MMR is hidden doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If I'm getting 3/4k regularly on a nightly basis it would explain why I'm going against sweaty swf very often and would explain the bitterness when these swf groups lose because they are so used to winning. You say my maths isn't great but yet you fail to provide anything that says otherwise.
I never said that mmr doesnt excist, dont put any words into my mouth to excuse yourself. If youre regularly getting 4ks its obviously not that good of an mmr or youre completely sweating yourself and have no right to judge anyone else. Also saying youre only getting against sweaty swf is a lie in itself, cause most games arent swf.

My guess would be more MMR based than regional. There has been many people claiming the same thing as me from various regions (high rates of abuse post match from survivors regardless of win or lose) some of which have actually posted on these forums about their personal experience which isn't all that different to mine and they scratch it up to the fact there are 4 survivors and 1 killer so statistically more likely to get a toxic player. Which sort of makes sense. Just today I played 4 matches as a killer... All 4 matches there was at least 1 survivor that couldn't resist but say "get good" or "touch grass" even tho I got 4k. I could play 4 matches as survivor to compare how many of them the killer has something negative to say post match.
Math isnt your strenght, right? And it has abolutely nothing to do with MMR, cause you cant even make out what MMR you have nor anyone you play against. Also you do not belong to the top 1%, thats easy to tell.

what a heartless survivor main, u play deathslinger and see how it feels to get robbed of your near miss shots, you think its easy or something? if he were, he'd be up there with nurse, but no, he already has an extremely difficult skill floor and the reward is average at best, but when i finally notice a correlation on how to aim at survivors over thousands of hours , teach it to aspiring slinger players and then 1 update erases all that, its fine according to you. yeah thanks for that champ.
I just see people getting "shot" around corners, so hitboxes cant be soo bad. And no its not latency. And removing any interaction from killers ist just bad design. Making a aim a save hit is just promoting more braindead gameplay.

I been playing for years and it's always been the same (for me anyway). If roughly 8/10 of my matches are like that (get matched with toxic players) then I'm not sure how I would mostly hitting the wrong people. Odds are I would be hitting the right people more often than hitting the wrong ones.
Must be a regional issue. Never ever have seen anyone making such false claims.
-
Probably with a bunch of little kiddos joining in, yes. Even though I still hope this being just a prank. Worst thing to happen to DBD.
-
Or we just let it be to be dodgeable at certain situation for interactive gameplay?
-
"I did one game and thats the norm". Hilarious as always. Survs have no bad reputation, thats just a lie.

If you don't think showing you, constantly with no cooldown, where every vault and pallet are, has nothing to do with map sense, sadly, it's you who doesn't understand map sense. Case and point to my original statement.
Map sense doesnt help you at all to know which pallet is used or which not. And thats the part why WoO is used so much. Is it really that hard to understand?
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:

That's a false argument. Both roles are essentially a different game. Killers and survivors could have a perk that, at it's basic function, does the EXACT same thing, but the in game function for that perk would be completely different on each side.
Its not an argument, its a question.
-
Every event or mode killers have to get something stupid advantageous. Thats how bhvr balances the game. It became a braindead killer fantasy.
-
@coldflame said:
There's a dozen or so things you're not allowed to do as killer at punishment of being cried at for an hour, but this doesnt seem to translate at all in the other direction. Why is it kosher for survivors to employ whatever miserable and degenerate strategies they want?
Bhvr lean into this by canonising a lot of these complaints in wide reaching balance changes
So then enlighten us on what survivor strategies are there that have the exact same effects as those on killer?

Survivors have plenty of things. But permanent map sense contained in a perk completely for free is too much.
WOO has nothing to do with map sense. Gosh, how often will we still see this nonsense?
-
Nobody is playtesting anything in this game.

Because they play for "fun" and "new/exciting content," except when they don't have massive advantage, which this mode apparently challenges. I'm sure those cute little killer abilities just turn Myers and Ghost Face from C tier to S real quick. That's the impression these survivor mains are giving.
Noone gives such impressions. Stop making up something that doesnt correspond to reality.

Nobody can tell me that newcomers make up the majority of the player base. Times have changed. Many players don't want to memorize all the map layouts, and perks like windows of opportunity are especially helpful for newcomers. However, this also leads to survivors getting too comfortable.
When playing with perks like Genetic Limits, this is noticeable. Most survivors suddenly run around the map like chickens. Completely uncontrolled.
But one thing is clear: If the developers want to change the meta, they HAVE to adapt the WoO
I haven't played WoO for a long time and I'm already busy memorizing all the layouts to make it easier in the future (in case something happens)
is just a tip from me 😉
And another one who doesnt know why WoO is used so much. Its getting boring.
-
BT isnt an anti-tunnel perk. It only prolongs the tunnel for a measly seconds. Its real use is to be able to prevent stupid trades or instant double-downs for obvious reasons.

yeah, nobody complained about this year's Halloween event, nobody complained about Winter event when Snowmen couldn't give you free health state anymore, i made it all up, sure
Complaining and saying that they want something being just in their favor are two entirely different things. And again nobody said anything about the event having to favor survivors. People just pointed out that this event is favoring killers so much that there is literally nothing to gain as survivor. And thats just how it actually is. No chance denying that.
-
Are they now portable or something?

This was never an issue with Lithe, and its not an issue right now. There is nothing like that caused by Lithe.

i wouldn't have problem if it was constructive criticism, but all i see is people acting like event is only fun when it's completely unbalanced towards the side they play
Except that absolutely noone said anything like that. Youre just making up something without any arguments.

@danielmaster87 said:
Survivor base is already strong. Even if you did get nothing, which I doubt is the case, you're still set to win.
If you play against really incompetent players.

Name one. Which one is straight-up not usable anymore?
Seriously? Just take a look at the great "perk overhaul". They nearly killed everything fine. They lately killed distortion.
Back to topic: When was the last time a killer got changes just because of popularity?

@Pelaan said:
WoO is a crutch perk the eliminates any need to memorize tiles and turns survivors brain to mush "just run to yellow"
Another one who doesnt understand the usefulness of the perk.

Any counters? I haven't found any and no sacrificing a perk slot for it is not valid. I'm not going to using useless Lightborn.
So this is just infity save, you have no way of getting anyone killed with this perk. Imagine this you have 2 ppl with flashlight and background player. Everytime you get a down you won't get a hook state sacrfice at all.
There's no counter play either'So using a counter isnt valid. Talking about being biased.
-
Cages are much worse than hooks for survivors, but hey.
-
People still dont understand that its not about how powerful this killer is, but how unfun the whole gameplay is.
-
@Ayodam said:
I mean they are shrinking maps, this is a consequence of that. Not much they can do besides make maps larger and they’re not doing that as killers dislike it.
It doesnt matter how big or small the maps are if the exits are right next to each other. bhvr just likes to ignore this issue for years for no reason, so i doubt anything will ever change.
-
@CleanseThis said:
Wo0 needs a nerf not because it's inherently strong but because it's a training wheels perk that lets survivors forego having to learn tiles and become efficient through experience.
Typical response of people not understanding what the perk actually is useful for.
-
Thats a common misconception used by unskilled players.
-
As long is unfun gameplay is possible it doesnt matter what incentives you give them nor what punishments you have in place. You need to get rid of the possibilities for unfung gameplay completely.

The main source of toxicity in the community is "us vs them" comments like this from players who only one side and constantly blame the other side for their frustrations in the game
Whats your purpose? This is about a killer BMing, so HOW is my an us vs them comment? Stop trying to bully if it doesnt even work.
-
Cause devs think that BMing as killer is fine. Why do you think this killer community is so disgustingly toxic?
-
Why? Seriously? You just need to use your four slowdown crutch perks, maybe even throw Haddonfield, and tunnel or slug the s*** out of the survivors. And you need abolutely ZERO killer skill to do so. Not even talking about Nurse or anything this stupid.
-
You could say the same about killers, not that survivor could even sweat their ass off as much as killers can. Still there are more games survivor say gg even in stupid games.
-
They always say its latency, but it isnt the only fault. Hitboxes on windows are janky. Always were and always will be.

No, it was trashing it with one token. Now it has a pretty reasonable requirement that encourages people to engage with the killer.
Also you've gotta ditch the us vs them stuff or thinking the devs favor a particular side. It's emotional nonsense.
Its a fact that devs trash 90% of the survivor perks when going for a rework. They just did it again.
-

It literally is a fair change though. It's an incredibly powerful perk that you actually have to do stuff to get now.
That change is just trashing the perk. Like always if they hcange any survivor perk its dead.

Noone likes Knight.

Because people refuse to see why it's needed. They mostly think it's meta just to annoy the survivors, with killers running it purely for toxicity's sake. That's why the conversation doesn't get anywhere.
There is no need to run 4 Slowdowns. Thats the reality.
