She got out and saved her teammate to boot, didn't she? She used her perks to the best of her ability, saved her mate and got out. I'd say she played smart if she was able to get away with it.
This is the same thing as letting the killer catch you and being upset that they didn't give you hatch for not wiggling. Would it be nice? Of course, but they're not obligated to play the way you want them to even if you're being 'nice'. You don't send the killer a salty message for allowing them to kill you just because you think you were 'being nice'.
@DCash They're not 'screwing you' by healing in the gate, they could be forced out. That's extra BPs for them so if they can heal, they will. If you're letting them escape you're only screwing yourself and then have the audacity to complain about it like OP.
@Carpemortum People act like when Myers runs that he doesn't always run the green addon that increases evil gained which makes it go by that much quicker. Kinda like a huntress that runs iri heads is almost guaranteed to have infantry belt.
Is there some secret move you can pull to suddenly make it so that he can't stalk you with little to no LOS blockers? And when you can stalk *through* half the things you shouldn't like the smallest gaps through killer shack or straight through a solid object (which before you say doesn't happen, there's plenty of video proof), what then, just don't be seen, ever?
Saying 'don't run in a straight line/don't let him stalk you' is equivalent to saying 'if you don't want to get DS'd, don't tunnel' when we all know that guy that likes to force the killer to eat DS or waste his time trying.
Let's not forget how buggy this game is, had a Myers who messaged me after the match to talk about how funny it was that he hit tier 3 because he was stalking me through a locker I was in when he came around. He was nice enough to realize that was stupid, shouldn't have happened and tiered up but left me alone and went after someone else.
That ultra rare is annoying, his other is just straight bs. Luckily I hardly see him for it to be of any consequence since people prefer to play Ghostface with noed nowadays.
If you think survivors aren't waiting at the exit to waste my time then you are dilusional. "You could force them out." NO #########. Forcing out survivors is also a HUGE waste of time. And, yeah I know you want points. I don't care, those heal points are mine and when you heal you take score away from me. I'm not "letting them escape." It is physically impossible for me to get someone at the exit gate, only force them out......which wastes more time....I'm not falling for this dumb entitled survivor-main logic. I'm going to do the most efficient thing to kill you. Forcing you out at the exit is not it. Baiting you back in is. Don't bother debating this with me my 4k hours disagree with you.

I don't think his iri add ons are toxic. I've used them a lot and they are hard to use against good players. I rarely see a Myers these days anyway. Don't listen to them they are just salty. You can't trust what salty people say.
As for being nice..... after 3k hours in this game... Don't be nice. Survivors are the most ######### toxic people I have ever played with. If you give them an inch they will take a mile, all while telling you you're trash. Show them no mercy as they will show you none.
That being said, I give hatch often, I am nice....but now it's only on my terms. Too many times I try to be nice and survivors want to take more and more. Give them the gate? They sit there and heal while you twiddle your thumbs. Nope, I am not waiting for you to self-care, you get downed, crawl out. So your mistake wasn't being nice.... It was letting her walk out. You can let her escape...but make her crawl, don't give them options, as you can see they will screw you if they have the chance.

FYI the Devs are 100% fine with people being t-bagged so clearly it’s allowed. If you don’t like it don’t play DBD go play Minecraft.
That's a dumb thing to say. Minecraft is one of the longest running and most successful games in history. Are you a kid? This seems like so etching a kid would say. Just because the devs don't punish something doesn't mean they don't frown upon it. But keep up the mental gymnastics so you can continue being a scumbag I guess. Glad I don't know you in real life. Also, for the third time now... I don't care about tbagging, it doesn't bother me, but enough people are very upset by it so I don't do it. That's called empathy, since you don't seem to know what that is.

I get what you mean, but every video game has control. You're supposed to be scared in Amnesia but there are things you can do to avoid dying. Who would play a game where regardless of what you do, you lose? You always die no matter what?
1v1 the survivor is supposed to be weaker of course, but that's exactly it. When my teammates do nothing, I'm playing 1v1 with some spectators watching me, and there's no chance I do 5 gens by myself.
Yeah I always tell people that this game is you vs the killer vs the survivors. Take a step back and realize that you aren't supposed to do 5 gens every game. Just like a killer isn't supposed to 4k every game. When this happens you survive the best you can. Take note how your team plays. If they are stealthy and not doing gens... then don't sit on gens and wonder why you keep getting chased. Pay attention to the hatch spawn. Go find it preemptively before you NEED it. I escape and pip all the time in games where we didn't get the gens done.
There are plenty of things you can do. Run adrenaline for when the hatch gets closed. Use wake up to open the doors faster. Open the gate to between the 'ES' in the word escape so the red light doesn't show up. Wait for the killer to patrol then open it the rest of the way. You can get out of these situations. If you are always dieing then you need to adjust your strategy.
There is control in this game. But it's a PvP game and you can never control everything.

If I was mad don’t you think that I would be using all caps and using colored text in red?.
It's called empathy. Get some. If someone tells you you are doing something that bothers them... You don't double down and make it worse....you are a scumbag if you actually think this way
And to clarify...I don't get pissed at tbagging. Even if you say I am mad that doesn't make me mad. But I know it upsets people So I don't do it. ITS PRETTY EASY.

I think I should clarify. I mean prioritize the guy who is on death hook or just got unhooked if they are in a group.
If they just got unhooked and are in a group 99% chance they use BT so, no, you want to go for the person who unhooks. Prioritizing a death hook, when it's later in the game, is fine if the opportunity is there. I just don't agree with kill rushing.

Lol you're entirely missing my point.
If you're already looking around for ghostface? Then you wouldn't likely have any more issues than you already do... This sort of change would really only affect lower-skill players who are incapable of scanning their environment while completing tasks. Higher skill players already have the necessary skills to render this sort of change moot.
And truth be told, I don't even necessarily think the proposed change is a great idea, precisely because it would be punishing to new and lower skill players but entirely irrelevant against higher skill players. But pretending it wouldn't have any counterplay is just silly. It would. And Spine chill wouldn't be a necessity. It'd be a boon, much like most other perks lol.
As for NOED? Honestly I didn't even want to have this argument... But whether the counterplay is boring or not is irrelevant. There is still a counter lol. Pretending it doesn't have counterplay because you don't like the counter is kinda hyperbolic and disingenuous. I mean feel free to criticize it. But saying it has no counter? Idk...
You are the one missing the point and not very good at reading comprehension. I clearly state that noed has a counter in destroying totems and spine chill change would be pointless. That doesn't change the fact that it's stupid to expect survivors to cleanse all totems every game. Not to mention good players know it's a waste of time to cleanse dulls. Also, I am waiting for you to explain how you counter noed while being chased?? It's almost like you didn't even read my post.

I have farmed in the past but currently I don't have any desire to farm on neither killer, nor survivor. I ended up in this match where the killer apparently wanted to farm but I didn't want to take part so he slugged me repeatedly when I was trying to open the door. So far so good. Eventually I pretend to go along with it and get out. And I get bashed for it in post-game chat. A teammate even suggested they should have left me slugged. The killer should have just hooked me and be done with it. I have challenges in the Archives to complete.
Since when is it ok to force people to farm?

Yeah that's definitely not ok. I have been in my fair share of farming games, never by choice. There's usually someone who doesn't want to farm and just pushes gens. If someone just wants to leave I will never stop them from doing so. No one should be held hostage in a game. This is why I am against the DC penalty altogether. If "it's just a game" then people shouldn't be punished for leaving.

My favorite debatable one of them all.People who say that pressing buttons to go up and down is toxic. Not toxic at all it’s literally just people pressing to go up and down just like when a killer Is nodding their head at a survivor.
It's not that simple. If I walked down the street and gave someone the middle finger, how would that go? Why are you mad? I'm just showing you my finger bud? It's just a finger?! Teabagging is the same way. It's the symbolism of the act. Its a statement that says F U. So whether you think that way or not doesn't matter. The fact is there are many people who get upset by it. So don't flip them off, it's not that hard.

I mean... that's true assuming the survivors are braindead and incapable. There absolutely is counterplay (to both this and NOED, but that's a different conversation entirely lol).
I can only imagine most survivors, knowing they're up against Ghostface, would keep their heads on a swivel instead of waiting for an alert. If anything I think it'd be more exciting because they would actually have to keep watch instead of potentially relying on the game to do it for them.
Then again, considering Ghostface could be playing hit + run anyways, they should already be doing this... so little would change lol.
I'm already looking around for gf. Not everyone uses spine chill bud.
As for the counterplay to noed.... Yeah break totems... Fun. I'm sorry but no one should be asked to find every totem on every map. Some maps are too big to search by yourself and frankly that's boring gameplay. You say you want survivors to not rely on the game doing it for them..... The don't use noed. When I said counterplay I meant in a 1v1 vs the killer sense. In the moment while being chased there's nothing you can do to counter noed except hope your team breaks it, if they even know it's up.

so basically with the deathslinger being added in, i feel that i hear a lot of people say that hes a better huntress or that huntress is better than him and i dont really hear much about how huntress is better. it would nice to hear why you think one is better than the other.
I have played a lot of both. They are both good in different ways. It really is situational. I will say that I think huntress is slightly better because she can snowball harder. It's just harder to snowball with slinger.
For example you go to a gen and find some people as huntress. You hatchet one while walking up, then hit the second shot, down them. The others start running around you, hatchet throw, hit, hit, hit. Before you know it you have two or three slugs with injured people running away. In less than 30 seconds. Slinger can't do that. He has to M1 everyone and reel them in which takes time. Huntress can just end a team really quick.
Slinger outshines huntress at loop counterplay though. There are a lot of loops that people can run huntress around on that are super frustrating. Slinger can shut that down if he is good at quick scoping.
So to sum up I think huntress has more snowball potential and slinger puts a stop to survivors bs.

A question.
Do you think that if survivors did not know they are exposed, GF would be op?
This reminds me of the new perk Trail of Torment. The devs said the reason they wanted to show the yellow gen highlight was because survivors wouldn't have any idea that something had happened. If you took away the info you get from GF he would be boring. You would just sit there in silence waiting for something to happen then he just downs you. It's like getting hit with noed. There's no counterplay possibility so it feels bad. I don't think it would be OP more boring to go against.

Franklin’s is not for losers (you should use less offensive ways of counter-arguing your point).
Franklin’s isn’t just about the actual making a survivor drop items. It’s also a bait tool for additional free hits or free downs.
I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve pretended to break chase and go off in one direction, only to circle back to where the item was dropped and catch that survivor, or another survivor attempting to retrieve that item.
This is going to be even more effective with the perk rework, which is its entire intention: make survivors panic about losing their item in 90 seconds and appropriately use that as bait. Survivors are very predictable when it comes to dropped items, especially keys.
No. I stand by what I said. Franklin's is for losers. It's a bait tool for morons only, not good players. Obviously you will come back. You are just as predictable as those survivors because you use Franklin's. It's easy to wait two seconds for you to leave and grab my item. For every time you have found someone grabbing their item I have easily gotten my item back, multiple times in the same game even. This is why it's only bait for morons.

I don't play Clown, but I do loop the living crap out of every person in game who's clown. As I said, his only power is slowing down loops while other killers power like planting traps, snares, phantasms, phasing through walls, hatchets, and shocking can be done for the same thing. That is why in countless tier lists both by websites and typical YouTubers usually put the clown in the very bottom. He has nothing more to offer and his power can't be utilized effectively in anything else.
Then they were bad clowns. I never get looped as clown. To think you can loop a clown is ridiculous to me. One bottle at a loop and you are hit. I'm sorry but if you are looping clowns then they were doing something seriously wrong.
I'm not saying clown is top tier. I could care less what some guy on YouTube says. I probably have the same or more experience/hours anyway so to me they are just other players. Any killer is viable in the right hands, and a lot of people are just bad at clown.

It's truly tilting to play solo. Kindred is absolutely necessary, because when I am playing with a good group it's easy to see when I should go for a save or just slam gens.
But I've never wanted to D/C more than when I'm hooked (and they see each other with kindred) and all 3 are running to get me. Or 2 are running and one person is crouching on the other corner of the map. Or using self care in the corner when the killer has sloppy butcher.
@DCash - I usually have that mentality, but when my daily quest is to survive and escape with a new item, and my tome challenge is to survive with using Hope, 100% of my objectives are to escape, not just do my best. So it gets frustrating when things aren't in your control
I get your frustration but you are playing a game where a crazy horror murderer is hunting you....you are not supposed to feel in control. At all.

I get that but that playstyle doesn't effect dc. People are disconnecting left and right almost every match. There's really nothing you can do against disconnecting which sucks. Honestly disconnecting is the worst thing about solo queue from my experience.
Yeah since the DC penalty has been taken away people have been a little trigger happy. If someone wants to leave a game though I don't think they should be forced to stay. Does it suck? Yeah, but thats why I always say just do the best you can. You can still pip and escape. I mean we all want fun matches unfortunately fun is subjective.
-
@Squirrel_Thicc said:
I don't really think it's a secret that killer kinda sucks to play at high ranks. I know that I'm not the first (or last) to complain about solo queue. Slightly long thread read if you care. (Btw this is all my personal experience and all of my friends agree with me).
Yes, survivor is mostly a better experience than killer... again MOSTLY. That being said...I have never wanted to quit dbd more than when I play solo queue. I played 5 solo queue games tonight. Game 1: Sandbagging teammate and not a single one of my teammates did a gen. Only one gen got done and it was me that did it. The sandbagging teammate also dc'd. Game 2: My teammates were all rank 13... I'm rank 3. During a chase 2 of my teammates dc'd. Shortly after... my last teammate dc'd. Game 3: Left to die on first hook with kindred on. Killer wasn't camping. Game 4: We all escaped. It was a close match but we all got out. Game 5: Teammate got downed very early and rage quit. We proceeded to get rekt by the killer which is whatever.
The issue is that people in solo queue are selfish, trolls, they dc, they don't do anything and I'm consistently put with low rank teammates. This wouldn't be an issue if this didn't happen 9/10 times I play solo queue.
The point of this thread is I want to hear your feedback. Can anyone else relate to this? As of right now I quit solo queue. I ask that if you leave feedback that you're respectful. Thx for reading.
I used to relate to this and I understand your frustrations. I do get low rank games some times. I have never been in a swf. Solo rank 1 every reset for years. IMO you need to change your mindset, that's what I did. You are not playing 4 survivors vs the killer in solo. No one is your best friend ready to die for you. You are 4 strangers in a life or death situation. The reality is that it is you vs the killer vs 3 strangers. You have to play around your team or they will get you killed. Analyzing my teams perks and playstyle is as important as analyzing the killers perks and playstyle. Teamwork is essential in this game....up to a point.
Also, understanding how the hatch spawns is important as others will stop working on gens if there's only 2 people left. There are times when you need to stop and realise what actions will get you killed and when you need to save yourself. Don't get me wrong I save everyone I can and push gens, but I have been in too many games where there's 2 gens left, 2 dead, and I realize the killer is up my ass all the time because I am the only one working on gens. Other times I play safe and I find my other teammate working on a gen then we finish it. My point is, yeah it sucks when people play like #########, but if you do your best and play around your random team you should always be top score like me.
As for killer, no I can't relate. But I have put a lot of time into killer. I play at rank 1 and I never think it sucks. Well, I take that back, it sucks when survivors are ######### to you just to be #########. Some people are just ######### for no reason. Most games though I will either crush everyone in the match or the survivors are decent and put up a fight. Which is what I prefer.
People put too much emphasis on winning in this game. Just try and do the best you can during the match. Save as many people as you can, get as many heals on others, push gens as far as you can go. You are not supposed to escape every game nor is the killer supposed to 4k every game.
-
@bubbabrotha said:
If you are playing to win, which I am, tunneling makes sense. By removing a link, you are making the rest of the survivors do more work, which makes patrolling gens more succesful. By tunneling someone out of the match you are making mid to late game much easier. I don't think it's the nicest strategy, but if you play to win that isn't an issue. I guarantee that person you refused to tunnel isn't going to care if you have fun, they want to win as well. It's a free for all. That's why I'm ok with scummy tactics on both sides. And I never play survivor. If you want to bodyblock, flashlight spam, or the like go ahead. We're all trying to win in the end.
Nah, no thanks. I am working on 4k hours in this game and I have never needed to play that way. Tunnelling survivors takes no skill and is boring for both sides. I enjoy beating 4 people at once. Crippling my opponent before the match really starts feels petty and cheap. If you have to win that way then you are just bad at killer since you need a crutch every match.

I don't want to put any opinions out there, but what do the people here think of it?
Dedicating 3 perk slots for one thing has never been a good strategy. I rarely run hexes so soul guard means nothing to me. If I do run a hex....it's not hard to keep track of slugs. Just don't let them stay on the ground long enough to get up. These three perks are easy to counter if you aren't slugging the entire team left and right off hook.

I know there are many posts about "unfair" survivor / killer perks, addons, abilities around here, and I don't want this post to be one of those. I'm not whining, I wanna know what ya'll think about that, and instead of being flamed for my post being toxic / me being entitled, I'd be happy about advices for how to play against that.
I'm talking about Michael's red addon. I think it is too strong, because I think it is impossible for Michael to lose a game when he plays that perk. Nothing's stopping him. I am aware that playing stealth would be a good idea, also to spread out a little, but since gens HAVE to be done, he WILL find survivors sooner or later. Combined with his lunge attack, I think this is impossible to beat for survivors.
Michael is one of my 3 main killers, but I have never played this addon and don't plan to do so. This is NOT about survs vs killers, so please don't hijack my thread for that stupid war. I just want to know if ya'll agree or not, and if you have some good strategy to at least have a chance against that? I've faced 3 Michaels using it today and it's really frustrating to feel like we haven't the slightest chance.
My advice to you would be to go and use the add-on. The best way to learn how to counter something is to play with it yourself. I am far better at countering Nurse now that I learned how to play her. Use it and see how annoying it is to fill your entire bar against good survivors who also get gens done. Play with it and find out what annoys you. What are the survivors doing to prevent you from T3?
My personal feeling about the add-on is that it's a bit too strong. I never use it because I honestly don't get enjoyment from winning that way. Also, the game becomes entirely about getting T3 and I feel that makes me make mistakes rather than focusing on normal gameplay.

@V1V3 said:
It's rather the opposite. A lot of killers already have a power that make ending loops easier and after the new bubba buff, Clown is officially the worst killer in the game for not only having a long reload time, but the slow projectile speed, charge time, and arc of his bottles makes him not that viable. All of these problems so you can slow survivors down slightly. Only his pink add-ons make him viable.
Sorry this is just wrong. If his bottles are so slow how am I nailing everyone in the head? You are talking about bottle arc and speed like that means something. I never miss my bottles. If you can't get a 4k without pinky finger......then you are doing it wrong. Clown is not the worst killer in the game by far. I am not even a clown main.

Just gonna add this one change I'd like...
Please add P3 skins to the outfit tabs. Why do I have to individualy pick each piece of a set when you added in the outfits mechanic? I should be able to just click the P3 of any character in the outfit tabs. This blows my mind that it wasn't done in the first place.

Just run, NoED, Franklins, Dying Light, Thanatophobia. It'll slow the game down, a little bit. And if they don't slow down, you take their necks off with noED. Oh and if you don't feel the need to run franklins to kill flashlights, bring knockout, so you can just slug them. And swap out thano for Deerstalker or sloppy butcher.
I would only do this if I wanted to lose. Franklin's is for losers, just face the wall or bait the flashlight save and run a real perk. Noed is for baby killers easily countered and taken out. Most killers only get one down, if that, with noed. Dying light is trash that only works on two people at once, while buffing the survivor you avoid. Thana is only good against teams that heal and most good players don't even do that. Then you suggest slugging with knockout.... Lol Are you trolling the most toxic build in the game or are you actually serious with this? If you are you must get DC's every game.

I hardly play as Billy so I can't judge. I did play a lot of Nurse and we all know how that went. These devs tend to go too far or not enough when it comes to balance. Ever notice every "rework" tends to work for weak killers and hurts already strong killers?
Freddy was the worst killer in the game when he first arrived. Now he is pretty solid after his rework.
Doc was weak and has improved since his rework.
Bubba is probably going to be better after his.
Legion was crap and is "slightly" less crappy.
Trapper is low to mid tier and his various QoL changes+add on rework have helped him.
Nurse was already top tier. Now she is infested with bugs and weaker than she was. Before you survivor mains scream 4x blink was op. Yes it was. I agreed with the add ons rework but her base kit was perfect before. Now she's zero fun to play as. I'm fighting the blink more than the survivors. Id hate for billy to get this treatment. The worst part is this patch will only make more killers play spirit. Or play something else.
Disagree. After the nurse changes I started playing her way more. She is balanced now and fun to play in my eyes. Billy will be the same

I see it quite often nowadays, is it a meta perk now ?
I spent months with kindred and we'll make it as my go to perks. It's biggest weakness is it's dependence on unhooks. So many times in solo play other survivors run in and snag the save so your perk ends up wasted if they don't know better. But I gotta say after all that testing I think plain old botany is better than we'll make it. Healing someone with botany is almost as fast maybe a second or two difference. On top of that any medkit you find or bring becomes way, way better. I find the games are smoother with botany because it works on my team and myself passively whereas we'll make it is dependent on unhooks. Which is why I say it's good for swf because you can coordinate who unhooks for best heals. I play solo only though which is why I paired it with kindred.

People are really acting like being able to freely roam the map in search of a crown and touching it is 'work' compared to finding it's sparse locations among four people (not to mention it moves every few seconds), getting down to 1 gen, being that close and still losing it anyway.
On top of how easy it is to receive them as killer, quite a few killers are going out of their way to target people who pick them up for no reason other than 'I don't want you to have it'.
My friend got tunneled and mori'd off first hook (ebony btw) when after a few hours he'd finally found a crown and when asked 'why, what did I do' the response was 'you don't deserve to have a crown because you're playing Ace'. 🙃
Then y'all want to wonder why people are upset and annoyed with this 'event' on top of the fact that the blood point offerings aren't even working. Be glad the worst you have to deal with is someone crying that you weren't kind enough instead of spending hours trying to get what is basically handed to killers on a literal pedestal.
He's not wrong. People should earn their crowns. It's not like it's hard. I already have every survivor crown on day one. There's still weeks left of anniversary. Yesterday I got 1 hooked and face camped by a huntress. She just stood there and held her hatchet. I am an Ace main and I get mori'd by some Billy's because they hate Ace. My point is, a reward isn't rewarding if it's handed out. I earned all my crowns by fire. Stop complaining.

I've been called that and far worse by survivors. But keep pushing the narrative that it's killers vs survivors. Survivors aren't #########, killers aren't #########, but people absolutely are #########. I'm so tired of people pushing the agenda that one is worse than the other.

So I've finished all challenges of all 4 levels of the Tome III today and it only got me to rift level 62. If we do a quick math here;
800 exp for 1 fragment
10 fragments for 1 tier level of rift
62 to 70 is 8 tier levels
8 tier levels needs: 8 levels x 10 fragments each = 80 fragments
80 fragments needs: 800 exp x 80 fragments = 64000 exp
64000 exp / 500 exp = 128 games total (I've explained how i get 500 exp per game below here)
So i still need to play 128 games in 17 days which is like 8 games per day and it's like playing 5 hours each day considering queues too.
How is this OK? I'm not an average player, i'd consider myself hardcore and a good player, i have 1900+ hours in the game aswell and i play since 2017. If this is like that for me, how can an average/casual player complete this rift? Shouldn't the rift be like 50 or 60 levels on total?

All challenges completed:
Rift level 62:
Here is how i get around 500 exp in games;
Survivor screenshot 1
Survivor screenshot 2
Survivor screenshot 3
Survivor screenshot 4
Killer screenshot 1
Killer screenshot 2
Killer screenshot 3
Killer screenshot 4
(So if we can see here, a good game as a solo queue survivor where you could live long enough without getting tunneled/camped to death quickly, you get like 597 exp. With killer if you get a good game with 4 kills, you get 598 exp. If we are being too optimistic about it we could say you get 500 exp on average.)
I got to 70 before level 4 came out for all 3 tomes. Frankly it seems too easy to get to 70. I get it without trying. Are you doing all the challenges? Those boost your rift xp a lot.

60s of immunity from what? I get downed and get to crawl around for 40-45 seconds. Wow, thank God for that immunity. It's amazing how many gens you can get done while waiting for the killer to pick you up.
Immunity from getting hooked and tunnelled. Instead of getting closer to death hook you get a time out on the ground. Forces a player to stop repairing and heal you as well.

DS is not anti tunneling it's pro slugging, people say it's meta I disagree I believe it's a solid b teir perk because if it's end game you can leave without consequences but if its start or middle of the game it's pretty much useless if you DS a killer and there's still 5 or 4 gens up you wasted your perk sure it gives a second chance but it doesn't stop tunneling and never will since that's the play style devs want I feel the new killer pyramidhead proves that because I've never met a pyramidhead that doesn't tunnel you
I'm tired of hearing this over and over. So I will be the one voice then. I have YET to see a tunnelling pyramid head. I have never been tunneled by one. Im starting to think this is one of those group brain washing situations where everyone just regurgitates what everyone else says.

This is based on how deserving I think they were of being put into the game.
Myers and Freddy - Two of the most iconic horror killers, obviously they'd be at the top
Leatherface - A huge horror icon even if they're not at the same levels as Myers or Freddy
Pig - While not a classic horror series, Saw is still relatively well known and still has movies being made
Ghostface - Scream is honestly a series that while somewhat well known, seems to rarely be talked about especially these days. But that could change with the upcoming Scream 5. (And yes while the ghostface in the game is technically licensed with the owners of the costume and not the movies, it's still hugely associated with Scream)
Demogorgon- Stranger things is a series that only had 1 good season and went downhill after that and so has its popularity. In 5 years a new trendy show will come out and everyone will forget about Stranger Things.
Pyramid Head - I'm sorry, but he comes from a niche series. The Silent Hill series is just a bunch of okay games with below average horror. Barely anyone knows him or his games and honestly there are tons of more horror games that are more deserving.
Your list is flawed because you don't seem to know what you are talking about. Silent hill has 10 video games and 2 movies. Scream was extremely popular and revitalized the horror genre in film creating a long series of movies. Maybe you are young and weren't playing games at the time? Stranger things has not gone down in popularity??? Where are you even getting that from? The second and third season were received well. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean that's the popular opinion.
Here's my tier list: they all deserve to be in the game

I do like the new map, but it is a little bit of a pain only having 2 main staircases and the secret one in the bathrooms. I guess the license restricted them in altering how floors can be traversed perhaps?
Except you are forgetting the library stair. So there's 4 stairs total, 1 for killer to open.

Unless real life stuff comes up or someone is hacking there is no justifiable reason to dc cause your losing. If there's 2 survivors left and your on the hook, I can accept you killing yourself so the 4th can get the hatch.
Side note. I cant wait for PH to get here so I can make DS useless. Imagine all the threads about people saying PH is OP, PLZ NERF!
You can't ######### on hook if the killer just slugs for the 4k over and over. FYI all you killers who do this, I am rank 1 at killer and NEVER do this. You do not need to get a 4k to get rank 1. Quit dragging games out, you are boring.

Okay but they're not bullying the killer they're just playing the game having fun. That's what I don't understand is a lot of people that think SWF is overpowered because of comms don't understand that most of the time a group of SWF are literally just playing the game and trying to have fun. It's almost like the killers that complain about SWF don't even think about that, they only think about SWF being bullies and playing seriously when usually that's not even the case. Whatever though.
That doesn't change the fact that communicating the killers position and what the killer is doing is game breaking as the game is designed for survivors to NOT speak with each other. Yeah, have fun of course. But casually saying "the trapper is by shack setting a trap by window" changes the game completely compared to a game without comms. If you don't see the difference maybe you are the one who needs to rethink some things.

So yeah, when is matchmaking gonna be fixed? Before 2077 maybe? It can't be that I as a rank 9 killer have to play against these Toxic SWF that aren't even playing but just want to make DbD a bully simulator. No wonder I always find a lobby as killer right away and wait as survivor for god knows how long, because nobody wants to deal with that toxic #########. Have the Devs play their own game, but that's probably what they're scared of, or they only play KYF.
How about you make it so that each rank can only play with the same and one above? There are literally rank 20 killers getting harassed by these bully squads.
So red with red and purple, purple with purple and green, green with green and yellow, and so on.
Alright, I'm done crying about it. Guess I'll just have to play Bubba, do some basement camping with an ebony mori in hand.
Enjoy your day, lads :)
The devs play the game all the time. Go to twitch and watch them play the game live before you talk #########. They play survivor and killer. They answer a LOT of questions as well. I have learned so much about how the game works from watching.
Also, you complain that they bullied you but you scored over 30k, almost a perfect 32k game. What more do you want? You don't deserve a 4k every game and survivors don't deserve to always escape. It looks like you all had a good high scoring match. I bet they didn't even bully you and just played normal red rank level play. You assume that's bullying because you haven't played at red for an extended time. I'm sorry but I play constantly, daily..... Actual bully squads are extremely rare. This is clearly not a bully squad as well because they only brought a yellow flashlight and a brown medkit.....an actual bully squad, like the ones I've gone against, have multiple purple flashlights with batteries or iri bulbs and purple medits.

This post seems strange to me. I have always played solo and I have never had 30 minute wait times. That's insane. It is a couple minutes, at most.
A killer using his ebony? Myers using an add-on? Are people not allowed to use the items they get from the bloodweb?
If you want to survive solo play go into each match with the mindset "do the best I can" vs "I have to escape or else it's not a win." I get rank 1 solo every month with this mindset. You don't need to escape to pip and frankly the game is more fun when you take the stress out of it.

Simply put, it still feels awful for both sides.
As survivor, it either never reveals when you are looking at him due to the servers and the "30% of his body requirement" which doesn't work with how loops are, or you reveal him when you could be staring at the clouds, its really gross.
The same is true for the killer POV, they could be trying to sneak up and get revealed through a wall.
Not to mention being able to spam reset being revealed while still exposing people just feels like a cheap down.
I try to be as neutral as I can, but come on
In my opinion, after viewing your video, you were doing it wrong. I play a lot of GF and defend against being exposed a lot. I also have exposed a lot of GF, it's really easy, but you need clear line of sight, center him on your screen, and hold for a sec. No obstructions between you. You need a clear line of sight and those short walls are blocking your view to him. It shouldn't be super easy to expose him. You shouldn't just see him and remove his cloak. Imagine that you are exposing his heart, not his head, you will have better aim.

I'm sure this has been suggested before but I want him to have an ability similar to Freddy/Demogorgons teleport. Have it on a similar cooldown so it's not OP, just added mobility. Call it Clown car or something. He gets into a locker masking his terror radius, sits in darkness but sees the lockers around the map highlighted, highlights a locker just like Freddy/Demo's teleport style, then pops out instantly to the selected locker. I say instantly because he will already get some slow down with an entering the locker animation and a popping out animation. Plus it will make his style unique to the others. Maybe there are special clown lockers added onto maps, but i think just using the existing ones would be best. If a survivor is in a locker the locker does not show up or is a different color. That choice depends on if you want the clown to get information through this ability or not. This concept would use existing game mechanics and wouldn't seem that hard to implement(I would imagine). I would also add in a mechanic to pop the clown out of the locker after a set time, like say 20 seconds, so it's not abused to just camp inside lockers. The point of the concept is that it's a tight fit and he squeezes in, impossibly, and while inside making cramped groaning noises that build until he's pushed out. I think this would add a fun layer of interesting plays, mind games, and jump scares to the clown that he needs.
If this is added he definitely would also need an addon rework. Take out what people use the least and add in something for the clown car. Possible addon ideas: decrease Clown Car cooldown, remove terror radius for 5 seconds after exiting a locker, nearby players are highlighted in X radius around the exiting locker, or while in a locker survivors in X radius are highlighted(similar to hangman's). This also avoids just making clowns gas more annoying which is not a fun option for survivors. His gas addons are mostly fine as is, his 1v1 doesn't need to be touched. With just a lil bit more mobility he could get that edge he needs and would make him more fun to play as and against. Tie this all together with some more lore in the archives and if I can be so bold and greedy, a true clown map that's set in an abandoned carnival that Legion came in trashed and graffitied.

I know it sounds like I'm whining, but how is this actually fair? How am I supposed to improve when I get stomped on as killer all of the time. I could either wait in lobby as a survivor for 10 mins to find a game that goes terrible, or instantly find a game as killer against red rank/rank 1 survivors? I genuinely would like some advice in how to improve, other than just "get good" as I've played this game for 3 years and this has always happened to me
Everyone's canned response I keep hearing get regurgitated these days......"rAnK dOeSn'T MaTtEr hur hur." Yeah rank doesn't matter.... If you are rank 1. It certainly matters to people who are still learning the game.I get complaints about matchmaking all the time when they see that I'm rank 1 killer after the match.

Why do survivors keep getting nerfed and killers are saying things like "try play against red ranks" i may only be a rank 9 killer but i've played against full lobby of red rank survivors countless times, most of the times sfw, and i never get less then a 2k, usually a 3k with the 4th person getting hatch, like seriously hitboxes are broke af and people get hit across the map and you're removing good loops ? i don't get what the devs are doing, stop saying this new update will "balance the game" because in reality killers are too OP as it is especially with specific builds. what killers are OP ? I'll tell you, doctor, freddy, myers (with infinite tier 3 or insta mori) and specific builds they can be even better, even deathslinger is up for debate because of hitboxes. :D i can hear the killer mains typing already
Has everyone forgotten how Ruin was just gutted? It's like survivors completely forgot that just happened and keep saying that they get nerfed all the time. If you can't play without a god loop on the map at red ranks....I don't think you should be red ranks.

Honestly, the way this game is headed.....you just die in 20~ seconds whenever the killer finds you. That's already how it is for many of the current killers and new maps. Even the shack is nerfed on new maps because baby killers can't handle it. It's kinda sad.
They can balance the game around M1 killers but just ignore how incredibly overpowered it will make the killers who already counter looping.
When a gen gets done in 40 secs why complain about a 20 sec chase? Survivor is EZ mode

Most of the new maps take 0 skill as a killer. There is almost nothing to work with on maps like Dead Dawg Saloon, Hawkins, Sanctum of Wrath, etc.
Even the shack is nerfed in Dead Dawg, it's terrible. Survivors should just teleport to the hook once you get seen on maps like those, because there is very little else you can do. Hide in a bush all game? That's what you should do? That's what the map seems to want you to do.
I like maps that have some safety for the survivors. It rewards map knowledge for both sides, knowing which chases to take, and which to abandon. There's plenty of survivors even at red ranks who are totally unaware of infinites.
Sounds like you have no map knowledge of the maps you hate. I juke killers on those maps all the time. There are plenty of loops that people don't even realize are there.
-
I don't know if anyone's mentioned this but the tombstone also gives Myers a speed debuff. It makes a big difference trust me. Loops become way more frustrating and frankly all a surv has to do is run straight most times and they will escape.
