He's strong..... But no longer the clown :(
-
For what it's worth, us clown enjoyers did not want this.
-
This is beyond obnoxious
-
Whenever things get bad balance or bug wise I just go play something else as the devs suggested. Seems a similar vibe for a lot of killers TBH
-
As a killer main here's my list for when I play survivor
Twins: don't know how to play her And very rarely encounter her so idk how to play against her
Dredge: wails plus darkness equals uncomfy
Plague: Less her more other players
Dishonorable mentions: other survivors
-
Devs ignored the feedback on this and on franklins. Pretty good job so far
-
Bit of column a bit of column B. Time to start learning a top 5 killer.

They did listen to the feedback that was given during the PTB, so it had some value. But I really don't understand why most of the bugs that were reported went ignored…
If the patch wasn't ready, then delay it. I think most will understand (and appreciate) if the patch gets delayed by a few weeks while it receives some polish. Some of the feedback.they still ######### clown and franklins
-
The clown changes are bad. He's now spam yellow for haste.... Literal inverse of his previous play style.... Both yellow and purple should be viable
-
Im seeing so many gen rush builds it's insane....
-
Ah yes the calls for him to get skull metchanted
-
Its not fun, but if I don't then I lose.....
-
Buff other gen protection/regression perks then we will talk

I think the main point of the Ghoul frustration is mainly the catch up-cancel to instant m1. I don't think the vaults are the problem, I would even buff his base leap speed and range. But the cancel needs some tweaks. I literally M1 someone and catch up to him 2s later cancel straight behind him and m1 him again. Injure and down in 5s, across 24m. The deep wounds can go too. And people who say, but Made for this… MFT makes you run cross map 1.5s faster, it's not counter. And if someone tells me that cancel is skill expression, it's not. It's same like pressing m2 to deploy drone with chess merchant.
The cancel cannot be removed without killing him. Unless you make his power able to down
-
I think the kidnap tech should be removed then the ghoul should be ok
-
Devs should revert mangled and hemmreorage statuses to their original forms and revert the perks and add ons that afflict them
-
How about we buff other gen protection/regression perks to be viable instead?
-
We need to buff gen regression perks now that there is 3 gen prevention and 8 kick limit
-
Use a carrot not a stick.
-
Please post the video of perkless Trapper, Skull Merchant, and Ghostface then
-
Either keep the limit and buff gen perks, or get rid of the limit.
-
His cancel being removed would gut him, unless you let him down with his power.

Because its a pointless change that would only make kaneki feel worse to play, the annoying parts of ghoul dont get solved by making him 110
Most of survivors proposed changes make him feel worse to play
-
Buff Gen Regression Perks. We have the 8 gen kick limit and anti-3 gen, Buff the perks back
-
Buff Perks. Revert gen perks. Revert Sloppy and the statuses,

You also can't shift + w away from
- Huntress
- Springtrap
- Executioner
- Deathslinger
- Demogorgon
- Wesker
- Blight
- Nurse
- Trickster
- Nemesis
- Xenomorph
- Unknown
- Dracula
Yet I don't see as many threads about those killers. Wonder why that is?
Oh, right. Because there's skillshots to dodge and punishment for the killer missing.
Because Ghoul is new and strong. And plently of people complain about Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Springtrap, and Dracula…….. those are some of the killers I've seen the most "go nexts" against before the update (bar springtrap, who has gotten threads demanding nerfs)
-
They shouldn't Skull Merchant Ghoul. End of story.
-
To counter ghoul:
Run tight loops
Break los
Dont be afraid to greed pallets
Stealth is your friend
Bait him off ledges
-
S tier killers are needed. If you want the 3 current ones nerfed then dracula, spirit, and Legion should be buffed to their current level to replace them

I never claimed macro was particularly hard, but it's definitely way easier for killer. it's just tunnel camp and slug for the most part so the devs have done little to nothing substantial to kill macro play for killer. they've put band aid fixes that are a joke but hopefully stage 2 provides some worthwhile.
holding a 3 gen and hit n run is more sophisticated macro but most killers just go for the tunnel and camping in my matches.
the nerfs to clown and Knight nerfs chase ability, not macro play. it's harder for knight to pincer zone and harder for clown to spam pinks at every loop. this means they have to get good in chase, but bear in mind, these nerfs are very light handed.
of course they will still abuse tunneling and camping but that's nothing new. stage 2 is needed to address that. nerf the cheese macro so gen pressure is actually required instead of passive slowdown abuse and nerf the chase ability so survivors have actual counterplay in chase. yes, that means killer role is more challenging but that's a good thing considering the snoozefest it currently is. killer should only receive nerfs until the average kill rate is 50 percent on every killer
Honestly it just sounds like you aren't very good at the game judging by your complaints
-
Oh no you can't just shift plus w away.... Boo hoo....
-
Agreed. We should bring back og Chucky
-
His killrate shouldnt include the go nexts from when he came out
-
-
So… murder him?
-
I don't understand how some of you.play when about half or more of the killers are on the bottom half of your tier lists tbh

Makes me wish they'd rebuff Sloppy just to help some of the low-tier killers gain some semblance of control again. Never mind gen regression or kicking, just slowing down heal-times would be nice. Especialy since you can almost get a six second heal off on your own.
As you said, not nearly as bad as the old CoH meta, but still rather irritating if you're not playing B-Teir or higher killers.
They should revert the changes with mangled and hemorrhage as a whole as well as sloppy

I promise you, there's no disrespect intended for Killers from our side. PTBs are intended to be a space where we present changes to the community to go hands-on with and share their feedback on. Just because something makes it to the PTB, doesn't mean that's the precise state it will then make it to the live game in.
We've been closely following community feedback on these 3 topics (among many more, of course), and have been sure to share this feedback with the team.
While I totally get that it can sometimes be frustrating to come face to face with changes that you don't vibe with, believe me, sharing constructive feedback on what does or doesn't feel good is immensely helpful to both us and the wider dev team, as it helps inform further balancing adjustments.
As a killer main its really frustrating to see repeated strings of what seen to be very poorly thought out changes: xenomorph, Artist, and now Knight and Clown, that do the opposite of what the claimed intent was, while also making them overall feel worse to play. It feels out of touch and like the balance team is just looking at stats in a manner of first order thinking instead of going to second order and thinking "why?"
-
Clown and knight are cooked
-
I don't like the clown and knight changes. They feel really bad and frustrating. Clown didn't need to be nerfed at all
-
I don't like the nerf to clowns purple bottle....
It's the only thing he really has going for him...
The yellow bottle isn't good because it helps survivors too.
And the knight changes make him weaker...
And why make pyramid head slower?
-
So yeah, it's entitlement mentality.
"We should be able to do or inflate kill rates so killers I don't like get nuked"
That's the essence of what you said. Skull merchant 2.0 was fine but survivors wanted to keep whining until she was executed so nobody plays her. And there are people on this forum who explicitly said they want the same to happen to Ghoul. It's fully entitlement on survivors part.
-
Ok... Then can I block:
Bully squads
Gen rushers
Comp teams
Survivors I don't like
And other "bad actors"?
According to your logic yes

Been there for all of it. None of them had springtrap
Springtrap is worse than free health states, event targets being camped, etC?
-
How about we buff the weaker killers so they can actually be competitive? No, you just want an excuse to demand more killers get put in the dumpster with the skull merchant.
And you are using inflammatory language when describing those killers and their players. Please.

It gets used in lots of different ways
Anything but 12 hooking is tunneling
Going after the survivor right off the hook
Going after the survivor right off the hook, unless that survivor body blocks
Hyper focusing on the first survivor found until they are 3 hooked and eliminated, ignoring all others
Trying to find the weakest survivor and then focusing on them until they are eliminated
It even gets used for targeting players for specific reasons - anything from a player who was a really good looper and now the killer wants to eliminate them more than win the game, to targeting specific characters and/or charms due to personal dislike.
All of them focus around the general idea of the killer targeting a specific survivor, though how extreme the standard is, and whether there are any other circumstances that might change it, are also important to consider when discussing such a broad topic.
You forgot:
Hooking a survivor, downing another survivor, then finding the recently unhooked first survivor hiding somewhere by accident and then downing and hooking him……
according to endgame chat that's tunneling
-
Were you here for the free snowman health state event?
The void endurance event?
The fight over Alcoholic Beverage generators?
What about the free dead hard masquerade?
This isn't that bad

According to my post above I have a lot of people agreeing with me a lot of votes up. Tells you there’s a big issue with slugging in general it’s not just a me problem. The problem starts when you want to run your favorite build that doesn’t require metas like DS Dead Hard, OTR, And Unbreakable. I have to run unbreakble in every match because I hate getting slugged the problem is I don’t want to because I want to run other perks hoping I have smoother games. People like you don’t know how it feels until it happens to you
Got a lot of upvotes on a "killer bad" us vs them post on the. Survivor sided forum..... Yeah. That amounts for nothing, especially considering the later comments ratios

just to correct some misinformation there - whilst data on addons tells us what is preferred there's a bit more to it than "it's used a lot therefore needs a nerf" you have to take into consideration the kill rate with that addon used, and compare it to other addons used with it. What we're seeing with this particular addon is that it increased kill rates by a pretty high percentage, more than 6% which does show that there's likely some issue with it. So whilst you might feel the effect is mediocre, the reality is that something is more problematic than it appears at first glance.
Wouldnt it be better to improve sub par add ons instead of just crushing the ones that improve kill rate? So there are other viable options?
-
His power cancel is an important part of his kit and what keeps him from being a worse legion.…how many times does this have to be explained for survivors to understand?
