I prefer Outdoor maps anyway, both as killer and survivor. The freedom to move where you want and just have more room to play feels better. Hell I even like the new Haddonfield because rather than the Houses being the main part of the map, they are there mainly to be ran through.
Indoor maps feel way too confined and I never enjoy playing them.

I mean, MFT also hard counters the Knight. Unless you massively misplay or are put into a corner, only the Assassin can catch up to you.

while from a writing standpoint it could be quite interesting, froma representation standpoint I dont think its a super good idea. I'd love to read a book about that concept, but portraying an lgbtq+ character as vengeful and murderous. its a good concept but for representation it wouldnt really work.

Generally speaking the characterization of Killers is that they've fixated on something which holds them in a destructive cycle, for themselves, others, or both. Which, while individually gratifying, generally speaking isn't societally beneficial.
An LGBTQQIS2AP+ Killer that kills out of spite for being separated from society just reinforces the idea that they are separate from society, which, while that individual is given their backstory, what they represent is not separated from society. The thing is that the majority of people view things from a surface level, so they'll just latch onto "LGBTQQIS2AP+ is out to kill us". Even if taken light-heartedly, is ripe for subtle bias when spread across a wide audience.
I understand that 'for the greater purpose of representation', putting a spotlight of someone in the LGBTQ+ doing inhumane things is a negative thing, however, if we go off the assumption that people only look at things at a surface level, having only Survivors be represented this way leads a narrative that those in the LGBTQ+ are and can only be victims that do no wrong. That no matter what they do, they can only keep running.
I understand that representation in all aspects is important, but saying they can't be vindictive, vengeful or malicious just makes the narrative 'we can't be evil/bad', which then enforces the Us vs Them argument.
In the Netflix Resident Evil (God I hated this show), Evelyn Marcus, who was a Lesbian, was a major antagonist of the show. She was business focused and willing to kill both workers and her own son to save her own ass, not to mention her drugging her own wife so she wouldn't leave her. Evelyn was evil, she lacked basic empathy and was selfish to the point it destroyed those around her. Even though she was LGBTQ+, she didn't represent the whole movement, and having her be the way she was, was a new take on antagonists, as being LGBTQ+ is most commonly a trait found in the victims of stories. It showed that being a Lesbian or other doesn't free you from being a bad person. What makes you a bad person is you as a character. She wasn't defined by her sexuality, at a stretch, she showed that you can be more than your sexuality. Despite the show being god awful (Wesker looking like Blade comes to mind), Evelyn showed that your actions speak more about you as a person than your sex/gender/sexuality/etc.
Even Gus Fring from Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul is Gay, and he was a right piece of work.
The story I proposed, spins a tale of someone who, rather than trying to stop the cycle of hatred, is taken in by it and wants to control it. Why try and be better than them, when you can drag them screaming to hell? A take on 'the monster you created'. The idea being that, rather than judge someone on their identity/sex/gender/etc, you judge them on their actions, and a killer will always be a killer, regardless.
But if the overall community feel that having a killer be LGBTQ+, in any way, is an area that is too volatile to consider and aren't willing to take the risk, then fair enough. But that is my take, it could be narratively very interesting.

yeah lets leave the representation to the survivor side... much less... err... treacherous.
My thoughts exactly. But if people are gonna complain about anything and everything, might as well give them a good story to read first. A LGBTQ+ Killer could, lore-wise, be very interesting. We have killers who became the way they are through abuse, and we have killers who do it because it's fun.
Imagine if, rather than the stereotypical, the harassment got too much and they snapped story, it was instead the story is about them going from taking revenge and the power away from those who hate them to becoming what they fear. Where we see what was a person trying to be themselves and live a happy, accepted life, only for them to realise, they don't want to be accepted by them, they want to be feared.
A killer that doesn't recognise that they're too far gone to be forgiven for the slaughter, but rather thinks that they haven't gone far enough. A story that goes from Us VS Them, to Them Vs Me. They don't want to bring peace or love anymore, they are selfish, obsessive and devoid of empathy. And then the Entity comes in and gives them what they want. Freedom from the hate of others, a new playground of fear and death, hunting survivors in the fog and the only remnant of what they did in the real world, has left scars and nightmares, becoming a new age bogeyman.
-
What is you issue with the Mori? Is it him telling you to 'Die. Fast. Please.'?
I see nothing wrong with it. Through out the trial Hux will say how he thinks the survivors are annoying insects and he wants them gone because they are inferior. It fits that he would also just want them gone, so him telling them to die quickly is fitting for a machine that wants to be efficient and perfect.

Im not a fan of Spirit's base design, just a character wearing nothing but rags is something that I never really liked. Like dang bish, but some clothes on.
She was originally going to be just naked, the rags are as close as they could get as to avoid censorship laws.
-
I mean, it could be really cool to have maps made where there are secret exits/escapes that either only 1/2 people could use with another staying in the trial. Sort of self-sacrifice, or be selfish and leave the rest to die sort of thing, like Friday the 13th had where some people would solo escape on the boat/car.
-
That in itself could be a new game mode/side objective. Imagine, while others do gens, you can set a trap for the killer or something, and the game becomes a fight for actual survival rather than hide and seek.
-
I do wish I could change the chase music for myself. I prefer Legion's Chase Theme over other killers and I want to use it always, but I don't like Legion's gameplay.
-
Map RNG really messes with his power, and he is louder than almost any other killer, so he is easy to track.
Nightfall is where he is at his strongest, but even then, his heavy breathing and his aura make him easy to track.
-
The only thing for me is that due to the leaks, they had to move up the stream by 5 days, but the PTB is still set for Tuesday. It doesn't feel right not being able to try out the new chapter after the anniversary stream.
-
You can hack drones 10 seconds after they are activated. You don't have to wait the full 30 second duration.
-
That's a fat no, on both these changes. There are already so many limitations on where you can place these drones and you want to limit it further?
The whole point is for the Killer to use them to lock down areas. And survivors can hack the drone while it is active, they just have to risk some Lock-On build up. This is a killer with no mobility and awful stealth (excluding green addon).

Pig, 115% & 24m TR ----> 115% & 32m TR
Legion, 110% & 24m TR ----> 115% & 32m TR
Deathslinger, 110% & 24m TR -----> 110% & 32m TR
Myers, 115% & 24m TR; Wesker, 115% & 40m TR;
Blight, 115% & 32m TR, Nurse, 92% & 32m TR
Some of the TR´s are pretty wack and i wonder when they´ll standardize Myer´s 24m TR to be 32m like it was done on Pig.
TL : DR, there is nothing that makes sense unless you can read their minds.
Myer's terror radius changes based on his Evil Within tier.
Tier 1 it's '0' (Undetectable)
Tier 2 it's 16m, to help him be able to stalk survivors from somewhat close range, while giving survivors warning he is near.
Tier 3 it's 32m because he is dangerous and stronger.
-
You and I are playing different games.
-
Pinhead has a very difficult but rewarding playstyle, being able to exist and slow the game down naturally, especially if you can manage the box.
Wesker is insanely fun and has natural slow down too. Most people enjoy Wesker more as his ability is insanely satisfying.

RPD is super killer sided though and as Dredge, who can teleport & create darkness and Knight, who can camp super easily, you should do really well there.
Locker placements can be janky, and why would I camp as Knight? My whole point of this post is that I find these 2 maps particularly boring and unfun. I find camping to be even more so. I like the Knight's power as it can help me be constantly in chase, the Dredge's darkness is strong, however on RPD, certain lockers have map elements that block awkward paths in front of them and this map is just too claustrophobic.

@BenOfMilam said:
I can't really say that there are maps that I load into and go "can't win, no reason to even try." Maybe Mother's Dwelling and Borgo are about as close as it gets, but both are definitely winnable.
I understand hating Giddeon's, it's a really boring map to play on. Not impossible or anything, just quite dull. Same with RPD (even though RPD is very killer sided).
What killers do you play? That might make a pretty huge difference in terms of why you dislike those maps.
The size of the map isn't my issue, it's the closeness of the pallets on those maps.
Even as a Killer, I love Haddonfield and Badham for their aesthetics of chasing survivors through houses like I am re enacting a horror film.
I mainly play Dredge and Knight with off meta builds, but it's the Game and RPD I really don't like.
-
@Beatricks said:
It's so funny to see how low MMR some people are when they don't go up against survivors absolutely abusing RPD God loops to their greatest extent.
Yesterday I got the game 4 times and was taken to RPD twice by offerings. I love the Dredge and Knight, but I was miserable in those maps.
I don't even care if a map is big, it's literally just that there are too many pallets.
-
I have always thought, that if DBD switched to a Friday the 13th style of gamemode, where the survivors must survive X amount of time and they can do objectives to reduce that time, the game could be more fun.
Like imagine in Lampkin Lane, going between houses finding car batteries or calling the police.
Or on Temple of Purgation, finding ancient tablets that complete a ritual to open a secret exit.
Or on Meat Plant, actually playing a SAW game to open doors.
The main idea is that the Survivors must actually do things to survive, like scavenge, hide, be resourceful.
With the game being time based, the devs could cap HOW much time can be reduced by objectives and guarantee that Matches last a minimum amount of time.
-
It's an ok idea for Grim Embrace, but if all these effects only apply once, then it's quite bad.
Devour Hope gives 10% movement speed after 1 hook AND gives near permanent Exposed after the third, no need for unique hooks.
If Grim Embrace was a perk that ramps up in efficiency as you get more hooks, that would be good. With the exception of 3rd and 4th hook, the first 2 buffs, only getting once isn't good.
-
Balanced Landing only reduces the stagger after falling when you are not exhausted.
But I do agree, that as long as you aren't exhausted, it should work on endurance hits.

one thing i love about blighted outfits is how it completely deforms the killer (eg legion, ghostface, doc..) but oni and weskers just look like any run of the mill outfit.
Exactly. No effort whatsoever.

Same head, almost the same weapon. And it is 100% going to be a linked set for full price. Same thing they did with Pinhead's custom cosmetic.
I am more disappointed with the oni as well. That didn't even change anything noticeable. Only the eye on his mask is bigger and a splash of orange and they call it a new skin.

But the tombstone piece is terrible? That's iridescent Myers that is problematic.
The tombstone piece is infinitely more unhealthy. Iri Tombstone slow myers when in tier 3 and requires almost double the amount of stalking in order to get to tier 3. Tombstone Piece on the other hand, doesn't slow and requires less stalking to get to tier 3 that Iri Tombstone. That's why people pair it with stalk speed addons.
-
If they nerfed the tombstone piece and kept Iridescent Myers the same, I'd be ok with it
-
The reason Wesker blocks the exit gate with his power is that if he throws and downs a survivor against the exit gate, he has a chance to pick up and hook them. It is only supposed to be brief like Pinhead's exit block with his chains so that while it helps the killer get that last chance to get the survivor, it's not too long to make it a guaranteed pick up and hook.
-
The main reason people paly Wesker more than other new release killers, is because he is fun. He is outright fun to play as.

Lullaby - Lullaby. It's too weak and should get strong value on 3 tokens.
Blight - I think any half-decent blight with his plethora of addons will have little trouble.
Nemesis - Disagree personally, but we could see.
Penti - I would like some change to it that would make it less miserable in Solo Queue if you dont want a numbers tweak.
Grim Embrace - The reduced hook requirement really was there to push it into the meta and get everyone addicted to it. It would get nerfed later.
Dredge - Decent, might want to add a "phase through locks but dont break them during nightfall" or something. Also make him not gain BL while holding his antiloop.
Nemesis - Honestly I dont know. I dont like his design at all. He is not overpowered but just..not very fun.
Lullaby - Fair enough, I can see where you're coming from
Blight - True
Nemesis - It could be used by killers to tunnel that one survivor, making it strong, and they are unable to remove it on their own.
Pentimento - Most perks are miserable in Solo Q, I understand that much. But yeah, it can be oppressive.
Grim Embrace - It could make it meta, but with the ease of slowdown the current meta perks give, there isn't much going for it.
Dredge - For me, I want an Addon that makes him invisible when using his power, but he no longer has his Remnant. But the idea that during Nightfall you can't slow him down, sounds like something for an Iri addon.
Nemesis - I agree, he did miss a mark on many areas for me too.
-
I'm still of the opinion, that DBD should have a different win condition. Something similar to Friday the 13th. Where survivors have to survive a time limit and they can do other objectives to either escape early or reduce the remaining time. That way a game would always be a certain length allowing for more gameplay, while also allowing for more interaction from the survivor's side, by giving them more objectives.
And the other objectives could be like making an escape vehicle or something. And it could change based on map. So like on the Game, survivors could search for personal keys or something, to exit the facility. Or on Lampkin Lane, you could repair a broken car and drive away.

Oni - Until he gets in a single hit or reached 33% charges.
Blight - Think of how Spirit has 110% because her M2 is that strong. Same logic goes here.
Nemesis - Constantly.
Mad Grit - Pick up a survivor and you can only drop them once with no penalty until they get picked up or get hooked.
Brutal- It's just a QoL thing.
Dragon's Grip - If it proves to be too strong, sure, bump it to 30/40s.
Dissolution - I doubt tbh. We'll have to see.
Starstruck - If Nurse is no longer as strong as she is and cant use exposed status effects on blink attacks, isnt Starstruck a bit weak?
Thanatophobia - It caps speeds. So if you work on a generator, even with a toolbox or prove or whatever you will always work at this reduced speed or less.
Coup - It's way too weak.
Grim Embrace - I would like to encourage the Killer to rapidly go for unique hooks, personally. We'll see if it's too much.
Overwhelming - Yeah, maybe. I dont like this design in hindsight.
Lullaby - In what world does Lullaby look fine to you when in the same game Devour Hope exists with practically same requirements to work.
Pentimento - Maybe it could only be 20% but it's looking a bit too obnoxious with some combos ATM.
Oni - Fair enough, so he gains that little extra help early, not too bad.
Blight - The main difference between him and Spirit, is that Spirit has a lot more control over her direction, not to mention her attack out of Phase is a basic attack with increased lunge and stealth capabilities. Blight needs to be 115% out of his power as it is more difficult to use and using it for mobility means that if you see a survivor and start the chase, for a good while, you can't catch up to them to M1, you must rely on your power.
Nemesis- Would be too strong then.
Mad Grit - Fair enough
Brutal Strength - it's an alright change, wouldn't have that big an impact.
Dragon's Grip - Agreed
Dissolution - We would have to see
Starstruck - It's a strong anti-body block perk as is. Use with IG and Agitation and you can have a pretty strong perk. It's meant to punish Altruism.
Thana - Ok fair enough. Could be an interesting change.
Coup - It's a niche perk, making it a hex would make it stronger definitely, but it'd wouldn't have a major impact.
Grim Embrace - Encouraging Killers to go for hooks is good. It's just that 30 seconds is a long time as is. If you want to extend that and add regression to the gens, then don't reduce the number needed to get the perk working.
Overwhelming - Fair enough
Lullaby - Is your issue with Lullaby or Devour?
Pentimento - The point of pentimento is it gives survivors and killers more objectives to do. Survivors do totems, killer resurrects them, survivors do totems or face slow down.
Also, opinion on Dredge and Nemesis?
-
I main killer so here are my insights into your killer based changes:
Meta Perk Changes
- Reduce the regression, sure. But removal of the notification is not needed.
- Dead Lock could use some tuning down. Maybe.
- Pentimento doesn't need a nerf.
- Jolt could use a buff so it works with abilities, but basing it around the survivor could be too strong or too weak.
- Eruption is fine.
- NOED doesn't need any more changes
- PR removing the scream would be fine. All it does it make survivors stop working on the gen so DMS can trigger
Non-Meta Perk Changes
- Iron Grasp, I like it
- Fire Up, as niche as it is, a little bump could be nice.
- Brutal Strength, stomping boons is already a quick action.
- Agitation, yeah sure.
- Mad Grit, is that once a match, or does it have a timer?
- Grim Embrace, if you're upping the duration and adding a regression, don't reduce the Hook Requirement.
- Huntress Lullaby is fine as is.
- Coup De Grace is fine as is.
- OP is fine as is, having the passive drain would be too strong.
- Oppression, if you can kick regressing gens, there is no reason to reduce the cooldown.
- Dragons Grip could use a buff, but not that low a cd.
- Lightborn, I really like this change.
- Nemesis, is this after they become the obsession, or from the game start.
- Dissolution, 38m is too far, 32m is fine.
- Predator countering Lightweight could be alright, still not a perk that many would use.
- Starstruck does not need a buff
- Thana, don't quite understand the suggested change.
- Unnerving Presence, could be an interesting buff
- Could be nice for beast of prey.
Killer Updates
Deathslinger
- Don't play him, wouldn't know
Blight
- Why reduce movement speed?
- Could be a healthy nerf, stops his instant catch up and down potential
Plague
- she is fine as is
Mastermind
- No
- It would put him more in line with other killers like Pig and Onryo.
- If the infection outside of chase is slowed, and he can't progress infection in chase, on top of the slow being non-existent, what would the point in his power be?
Pig
- This has been needed for a while
- Would definitely help her more
- No
Oni
- He gains enough blood as is. Especially with addons.
- How long would he have this pallet kick speed for?
-
I really hope for a Blighted Dredge skin, or a Blighted Oni skin.
-

I guess that makes sense but I feel in that case they should make it closer to the wire tap perk
It's just because the games base coding is old. They can try work arounds until they find fixes, or just keep the work around.
-
I mean, killers aren't there to help you. If a killer perk helped save survivors items, no killer would run it.
-
A better comparison than DS to Wesker, is DS to Pyramid Head, or Wesker to Nemesis.
-
They nerfed blast mine for the same reason they nerfed Franklin's Demise when Nemesis came out.
They couldn't get the code to work where Franklin's wouldn't destroy Nemesis' injections when survivors drop it, so instead of trying to fix it they found a work around, Franklin's no longer destroys items, it drains them instead. And as the injections can work with '0 Charges', the interaction with the perk was 'fixed'.
For some reason, they couldn't find a way to separate Blast Mine from Wire Tap when it comes to joined durations, so the easier thing to do was to make it so that if they are used in tandem, they are both disabled, lessening the risk of the 2 perks bugging.
-
@ThiccClaud said:
Enfury is a stupid combo anyways. I would compare it to old dead hard as in its an killers making a mistake but compensating with perks. Spirit fury is boring gameplay especially with certain killers. It doesnt need a buff
If a killer wants to waste 2 perk slots so they can brute force survivors, let them. Also, being stunned as a killer in a chase isn't necessarily a mistake. If a killer is mid chase and respects every pallet, they will most likely either extend the chase to infinite and beyond, or they lose the chase entirely.
I do agree, it doesn't need a buff, especially one like that. But it is nowhere near as forgiving as old dead hard.
-
The reason is that he is fun to play. Despite his hitbox being non-existent at point, and some glaring bugs, he is fun to play as. Also, he is brand new, of course people are going to play him. His base movement speed has nothing to do with why people play him.
I can understand that him being 115% can be annoying, but his power can be lacking at loops, if he misses he gets sent flying, it cancels itself after vaulting and he has such a short window to use his second dash after the first. Not to mention he can't manoeuvre himself mid dash. Give it about another week or 2 and you will see less of him as people will get over the new killer release hype.
Also reducing his movement speed would be a horrendous nerf. He already has a massive terror radius, making him unable to be a solid M1 killer and entirely rely on his power would be too much.
-
If they have to 'fix' him, I really want them to fix his momentum. If he uses his power from a ledge, he loses all momentum the second he no longer touches the ledge. If he had the ability to launch himself properly off of hills and stuff, as well as being able to leap over the large holes in the floors on some maps, he could be really damn fun.

I agree with you for the most part. They should also consider reducing the charge and recharge times on his power.
Yeah, for a killer who's power isn't for anti-loop, he has some longer cooldowns on nearly all his interactions.
-
I mainly play licensed killers, so I don´t have too much of an issue with the lack of cosmetics. However, I do get you point, it does seem that every week Feng Min or Yun Jin Lee are getting new cosmetics while Adam gets nothing.
-
He is a killer, it's the legion.
-
At this point, I would like a new gamemode. I keep referring to Friday the 13th for their large maps and survivors actually having to try and escape rather than just hold m1.
DBD isn't really a horror game anymore when certain killers have jarring weaknesses or strengths and survivors can have ridiculous amounts of safety.
If they made a gamemode where survivors, instead of gens, had to find parts to build their escape route or do puzzles to unlock it. Or something like that.
-
Wesker will probably be more popular. His power is more unique and is infinitely more faithful to the original character. While nemesis is more iconic, Wesker gameplay wise brings a power that offers skill expression without the need for janky hitboxes and RNG, addons that all seem useful, his own personality and of course, throwing survivors.
