  • I'm not too sure about whether or not he's overpowered but his Power does feel a little too loaded; strong mobility, strong anti-loop as well as stealth , but he becomes very easy to deal with when his Power's down, and his map pressure is pretty average. One thing I find frustrating about playing against Chucky is the paranoia. I know this could also apply to Ghost Face, but Ghostface isn't 2 feet tall nor can he sprint at you and land a hit before you can make it to a pallet or window. I don't think he's terribly overpowered, but the removal of the fake footsteps would be nice. It's an unnecessary mechanic in my opinion and is one of my least favourite things about him.

All the obvious buffs have been stated already (rightly so), so I'll throw in one from left field.

Make it so she can vault pallets and windows mid-Ambush attack just like Wesker.

Pig can now also replenish missing traps, but it requires her to do some in-game action to recycle a used trap.

Ambush lasts 20% longer. Not quite as long as SnD, but enough to give her dash a much-needed boost.

Totally agree with the ambush vault, it would make her more of a threat at loops but with mind game potential from both sides.

    • Increase crouched movement speed to 4.0 m/s from 3.6 m/s
    • Make the undetectable status effect happen instantly after the crouch animation is done.
    • Undetectable now lingers for 3 seconds after uncrouching.
    • The pig only starts the roar when the ambush attack actually starts
    • Reduce crouch time to 0.75 seconds from 1.2 seconds.
    • Rework traps to be more of a threat, but less prone to tunneling/scumminess
      • Traps no longer require a generator to "activate" and activate immediately.
      • Reduce death timer to 120 seconds from 150 seconds.
      • If a survivor is in a chase, the timer no longer pauses, but reverses, granting an additional 1 second of trap time for every second in a chase
      • If the trap death timer increases to 150 seconds, the trap is automatically removed (30 seconds of hard tunneling)
      • If the survivor is downed, the timer reverses at twice the speed giving back 2 seconds for 1 second spent down.
      • If the trapped survivor is hooked, the trap is automatically destroyed.
      • While working a box, the timer is paused
      • While wearing a trap, survivors gain the endurance status effect.
      • Increase the amount of traps the pig gets from 4 to 6.
      • Maintain a level of normalized RNG for traps:
        • 1 trap takes 1 search
        • 2 traps take 2 searches
        • 2 traps take 3 searches
        • 1 trap takes 4 searches
        • Trap order is randomized.

The general gist here is to increase the power of the ambush attack to actually make it an "ambush" as well as make it more viable in chases but still mindgamable by both sides (i.e. which direction you are dashing in a loop, or if the survivor leaves the loop etc.) While also increasing the lethality of the traps themselves and making them more of a threat that needs to be dealt with (more traps, immediate activation, less time) but effectively making it so a survivor with a trap is by design supposed to be ignored by the killer and if they try to tunnel that survivor, they will have a bad time.

If this make the pig too strong, consider reducing the traps back down to 4, or slightly weakening the ambush attack.

Huge fan of your trap rework idea. In my opinion, head pops should be very rare occurrences, but it seems that currently certain add-on pairs along with scummy tactics to interrupt Jigsaw Box searches can be abused to get almost guaranteed head pops. The traps at base kit should be far more threatening, but add-ons like Tampered Timer and the gears should be removed and there should be mechanics in place to prevent Pig players from tunnelling and interrupting survivors with active traps.

This is for licenses that have next to no chance of actually being added, but something you personally really want anyway. Doesn’t matter if they are too silly or would be impossible to implement.

I unironically think they should add the gang from Scooby Doo as survivors even if they are just skins. They’re all so iconic and the voicelines would be hilarious. I’ve also really wanted a killer from a Stephen King property. Pennywise is everyone’s go to pick and I would love to see him too, but personally I want to see Carrie or Jack from the Shining more. The Overlook hotel would be the perfect map for this game.

The Grudge with Kayako Saeki as a Killer. Seems unlikely because it'd be a bit too similar to Sadako, but would be a terrifying addition for sure.

  • @radiantHero23 said:

    I WAS SUMMONED!!!!

Changes for our lady would be:

    • faster crouch movement speed (100% movement speed base)
    • faster crouching and uncrouching (combat straps basekit)
    • longer ambush duration
    • survivors can longer die to a rbt while searching a jigsaw box

The RBTs are extremely oppressive even without addons. You just need to know how to use all the different rng-variations correctly.

Agree so hard. Crouch and Ambush are so painful to use without add-ons. I also think they could take it one step further and rework the ambush slightly so Pig can fast vault mid-ambush. I've seen people suggest giving her ambush the ability to break pallets but Mandy isn't the type of killer to use brute force hence why I think a fast vault mechanic would be better suited.

    Opinions?

PS. i would rank Chucky at the very top or bottom of A and B

Nemesis should be higher, revived the game after quite the plethora of boring original chapters.

Self-healing received a hefty nerf last year and med-kits have became so much more addon reliant for multiple heals or healing speed. CoH, especially the previous version before the aura addition, would be completely fine. Given that CoH has the same self-healing speed as a med-kit.

Survivors need to walk over to the boon, usually outside of gens, wasting a reasonable amount of time (let’s say: 10 seconds minimum). Survivors would then need to heal a total of 24 seconds with self-healing speed, not including Mangled.

This would take a considerable amount of time out of doing gens like what most people do now. Currently, Resilience is common and staying injured is pretty common sense. Rushing gens is the play and it wouldn’t make sense to heal. You see a lot of Dead Hard too, and old MFT used to encourage this as well. CoH having the old self-heal ability wouldn’t be bad, it’ll actually incentivize healing rather than solely rushing gens.

Boons are in a sad state. Shadow Step is arguably the better of the boons yet Distortion already makes it redundant. And now that Illumination is looking completely underwhelming, it seems like people just want boons to disappear all together. Would Dark Theory having 3% be a problem like MFT? Would Exponential having some kind of secondary effect be an issue? Would Illumination showing survivor auras in blue be too strong? Seriously, I fail to see how any of this would be a problem now. Make them strong to justify their mechanics.

    It's fine as it is.

  • @Seraphor said:

    Not much tbh.

100% crouching movement speed instead of 90%. Still slower than mormal, same speed as survivors, but more viable for tracking them, and aproaching from a distance at a reasonable speed.

Slightly faster crouch animation, making it less clunky, and Ambush slightly more accessible.

I play Pig a lot because I'm happy with her kit, more or less.

I expect she'll mainly get changes to her traps, which I think is unnecessary, but probably something I can live with.

I agree, I think tweaks to her stealth and ambush are the main things she needs. The crouching and ambush mechanics feel so clunky and slow that they're not worth using half of the time. They could go a step further and allow her to fast vault while ambushing. I just don't like how all of Pig's power reside on the RBTs which I don't think is a good design.

  • @Mushwin said:

I think it seems a waste of an oppertunity to add more "play a game" into this, getting head traps I adore but could we play more games? o.O

No because this is such a good point! Playing against Pig should feel more like a Saw movie. Not exactly necessary but would make her much more interesting. I saw a rework concept somewhere where Survivors start with head traps installed and they're activated by doing conspicious actions. Imagine that with voiceovers from Jigsaw.

  • I think Myers acts on natural instinct, it's heavily implied in the Halloween franchise (canon timeline) that there's something supernatural at work there. Michael Myers just kills with no apparent reason. It's just seemingly what he exists to do. Of course, that's just my interpretation of the character but @Dwight_Fairfield did share some good points in a post on this thread that favour him being evil and enjoying killing. I'm of the opinion that Myers is simply just the "embodiment of evil" and kills because it's what he exists to do. He's the boogeyman, he doesn't kill to fulfil his own twisted desires, he's a killer devoid of all emotion whose only purpose is to cause terror. I think that's why Loomis was never able to get through to him, he's not a man. He's just simply evil, and exists to kill. Hence why I think he's Instinctive like the other killers in that tier and not "Pure Evil".

I would say she is irredeemable on the basis that she intentionally killed her victims by rigging their games to be unwinnable because she believed people couldn't change despite them going through Jigsaw's tests.

It's difficult because I think Amanda is a very complex character and she has quite a lot of motivations for rigging her victims' trials. She has a strong emotional attachment to John and is heavily dependent on him as a father figure, and is threatened by the concept of someone else succeeding him or replacing her in John's eyes, hence her growing resentment and jealousy of Lynn in Saw 3.

Additionally, as you rightly said, Amanda holds the belief that her victims are incapable of changing, but I think this belief comes from herself. Despite besting Jigsaw's test, Amanda doesn't feel truly rehabilitated. She's no longer a drug addict, but she's turned to self harming as an alternative form of stress relief.

Overall, I think she's a victim of Jigsaw's manipulation. She's basically been gaslit into believing that Jigsaw's game has changed her, when it really hasn't and she is somewhat aware of this, yet she stays due to her emotional attachment and reliance on him. At the same time, she doesn't really show remorse for you know, committing murder, which is why she's not a victim. With a bit of therapy and free from John's influence, I think she has a solid shot at being redeemed.

That leads me to next the question then.

How are you differencing between Pure Evil and Irredeemable. Bad, but Redeemable and Victims? What would you say the criteria is?

Pure Evil - Sadistic, enjoy causing pain and kill for their own amusement and pleasure

Irredeemable - For the most part have done awful things beyond redemption, but they have a reason for their misdeeds in their own mind, unlike the Pure Evil Killers, the Irredeemable Killers do not commit atrocities for fun or just because they can

Bad, but Redeemable - They've done bad things with little or no justification, but they still have some humanity or potential to be redeemed if they are freed from the Entity's influence

Victims - Tragic origins, a lot of these Killers weren't even killers in their past lives

Instinctive - Cannot be classed as "Evil" or "Good", they aren't human and act off of natural instinct

With Huntress, I can't place her in Pure Evil because she genuinely thinks she's doing a good thing by keeping the girls whose families she slaughtered, but she's gone too far to be redeemed and has one of the highest kill counts amongst the roster.

Sadako undeniably has a tragic origin, but at the same time she is a merciless and vengeful spirit, with no purpose other than to kill all those she's condemned with her curse. Hence the Instinctive placement.

Wesker's placement might be a bit of a hot take, but I wouldn't consider him Pure Evil. It seems he genuinely thinks he's doing something for the greater good by eradicating most of life, and placing him on the same level as Killers who take sick pleasure in torture and killing just doesn't seem right. Yes, he's a psycho and far beyond redemption, but I think Pure Evil is a strong term.

  • @Smoe said:

    I'd move

    • Mastermind, Shape & Dredge up to Pure Evil
    • Pig & Skull Merchant to Irredeemable
    • Onryo up in the middle between Bad, but Redeemable & Victim

I would not say Amanda is irredeemable going off of the Saw films. Jigsaw is the main reason why she is the way she is.

  • @tjt85 said:

Wouldn't Wesker be in the pure evil category? I mean, the dude created a doomsday weapon.

I also think Myers has to be in the pure evil tier as well. There's not a shred of humanity left in the guy.

Wesker is bad, but the people in Pure Evil are actual sickos who enjoy causing pain and torture. I think Wesker genuinely thinks he's doing something necessary, hence why he's not Pure Evil.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

How is Michael instinctive? The original Halloween spells out in 50 foot high letters through Dr. Loomis that he's pure evil.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uprJsKihYUQ

    Michael knows what he's doing. And he enjoys doing it. He toys with his victims like the scene with ghost sheet Myers, and he loves to display his victims too;

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SD9OMEH7BDHK/8ub0s6t2a1291.jpg

That's not someone operating on instinct.

That's a good point! I always interpreted Michael as someone that just kills out of an instinctive need to, but this totally makes sense.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Doesn't Huntress and Leatherface have child like mentalities? So there is an argument to be had they are not aware of what they are doing.

I wouldn't put Pinhead in Irredeemable. Pinhead is a complex one to place.

I'd say Sadako is a victim too.

Most the the Bad, but Irredeemable I would move.

I think Huntress is too far gone to be redeemed, hence the Irredeemable placement. As for Bubba, he does awful things but out of fear, hence why I think he is redeemable.

I know Pinhead didn't willingly become a Cenobite, but I don't think he's gonna go back to being a human anytime soon. Also the whole sadomasochistic torture thing doesn't help his case.

I'd say Sadako is instinctive because if I'm correct she's just a projection of her former self, a supernatural being with a single minded need to kill those under her curse.

I agree with you spirit add-ons are the problem. When her audio became directional (and after they fixed the bug with her audio) the only problem I have with her is that her best add-ons (even yellow cap) are just way too good imo

I know MDR is OP and all but I can barely play Spirit without it lmao. Her base phase just feels so slow for me. Part of me would be saddened it if it gets nerfed again but it probably should. Cherry Blossom definitely needs a change, just makes Spirit too hard to counter because she knows exactly where you are.

Trapper, Myers, Clown, Freddy, Wraith, Pig and Legion.

Trapper: He should be able to carry traps from the beginning of the game or the Iridescent stone add on where his disarmed traps reset automatically after some time should be basekit. His Power is fine it's just he wastes too much time setting traps and resetting them.

Myers: Needs a rework IMO, he's so weak in Tier 1 to the point his "stealth" play style is detrimental, and his Tier 3 is just a worse Oni Blood fury.

Clown: Idk to be honest, maybe direct hits with bottles have an additional effect?

Freddy: Entirely new Power is needed, he's a dream demon who can control everything while in the dream world and the best thing they came up with is red puddles?

    Wraith: He's fine honestly

Legion: It's too hard to get 5 consecutive frenzy hits, give them better map traversal but make them easier to outplay in chase. I'd also replace deep wound with a different status effect, Mending is not fun. Maybe frenzy hits inflict a small hindered effect that is removed when healed?

  • @HugTechLover said:

No, because his power cannot be used at every tile, or in every situation.

Can’t compare the other two. The nature of the power, and the applicability is different.

Blight's power is usable at most tiles when he has 5 rush charges, various techs he can use and the ability to break pallets.

  • @jmwjmw27 said:

I don't think there's any killer in this game that I wouldn't tweak at least a little bit. Maybe Chucky since I have not really played much since he released so I don't have authority to speak about him.

As for the ones you have in fine tier:

    • Huntress: replace iri head with an actually fun effect and do something about ranged camping and huntress is in a good spot.
    • Bubba: make some small part of his speed/duration basekit and nerf add-ons. He is way too reliant on them.
    • Spirit: nerf the speed add-ons (yes even MDR again) and fix the bug where duration gives recovery. Cherry blossom also should have been nuked from orbit already.
    • Demogorgon: something about setting portals needs to be improved, you just don't have a lot of time to place them in sweatier games. Maybe increase placement speed?
    • Oni: 180 flick needs to be removed from the game and his best add-ons (topknot, cane) should get nerfed slightly.
    • Deathslinger: shoot&hold technique to outwait basekit BT before unhooked survivor can even move should be removed. His undetectable iri add-on needs a much longer duration or a rework because it is useless.
    • Dredge: Slightly faster (4.5? idk) locked-locker breakout time then nerf haddie's calendar slightly. Field recorder add-on should not grant nightfall at trial start, and nightfall blindness range should be slightly reduced because it is a noob stomper ability.
    • Wesker: make infection less useful for tunneling. Don't know how, probably spraying a teammate should not reveal any killer instinct, or less infection off hook?

Hot take but I actually think Spirit is fine after the directional audio nerf, I play her quite a bit and it's actually pretty difficult to predict Survivor movement now that they know exactly where you are. Her add ons are still a bit problematic I guess, MDR and Cherry Blossom mainly, but I honestly think she's fine.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/399540/which-killers-need-balancing-the-most-in-your-opinion

Nurse - She's been untouched for 7 and a half years now, come on BHVR. She'll always be broken as long as her Blink can go through walls]

As a survivor I suck against Nurse, but I do see other survivors who seem to deal with her without much problem.

Myers - Outdated and awful to play as against good Survivors, needs a new kit

Myers power fits. The only real issue with him is the tombstone pieces. I like the idea, but it can be really annoying to lose a survivor right away. I could see the basekit of his tier 3 lasting longer.

Freddy - Most boring Killer by far, also awful and unfaithful to the franchise, needs a new kit

Teleport is good, but his secondary power could be a lot stronger.

Clown - Obnoxious to play against and weak

    He's fine.

Sadako - She either kills everyone in 5 minutes or is held hostage by the Survivors

That sounds like a lot of killers, many games are stomps one way or the other.

Trapper - I think he'll be fine with some solid buffs, he doesn't need a rework IMO

BHVR likes the idea of weaker killers for new players. I think he's generally fine, especially if you throw on some of his better addons. He can either be played to lock down an area, basement a survivor, or just throw traps in random bushes and hope.

Billy - Overheat should be removed

    Okay.

Legion - They need to remove the mending aspect from their kit a different status effect that doesn't take up eons to get rid of

I don't know what that would be without a massive nerf to the killer. Some new effect like gen slowdown?

Ghostface - Reveal mechanic is broken, Survivors should get punished in some way for revealing IMO like a 10 second mark or something

What? Survivors should reveal ghostface and ghostface should try not to get revealed.

Pyramid Head - Needs a full add-on pass

    No real opinion

Blight - Add-ons are atrociously strong and need to be nerfed, base kit could use some nerfs too

    Blight basekit if fine

Trickster - They need to look at the "buff" again because he's somehow worse than before

    Yeah, they messed this up.

Artist - Birds need a maximum range, how is she able to injure people, chase and force people off gens from Narnia?

No, this is what makes the Artist unique. Birds can be dodged.

Xenomorph - He should not be able to enter tunnels at the start of the game, needs a cooldown like Sadako's TVs

    That's not necessary.

Nurse is very problematic. A Killer that ignores every defence mechanic that Survivors have which gives her the best chase power in the game, traverses the map in seconds giving her map and gen pressure as well, some oppressive add ons and she does not require that much skill to learn.

Sadako has a poor design in my opinion. The rework she got with the Nic Cage patch made her Condemned playstyle the core part of her Power, and gave Survivors a lot of counter play options, all they have to do is hold onto tapes from the start of the game and put them away every now and then and half of Sadako's power is gone. Either that or she's a pub stomper and gets a mori 2 minutes into the game and everything just goes downhill for the survivors from there. She is getting another rework in 2024 to make her more like her originial iteration, which is good in my opinion. They could buff her Demanifested state so she's better in chase and stealthier (maybe she vaults/breaks quicker while demanifested or her invisibility is better allowing for mind games at loops) and most importantly bring back the range to Condemned when she teleports, maybe increase it a bit from the original range but it should not be infinite. She gets condemend moris too often at lower MMRs, when really she should rarely be getting them instead the condemned should be a deterrent from gens and passive slowdown like pigs traps.

By "reveal mechanic is broken" I meant it's buggy not overpowered. It's not consistent enough. I was trying to be brief with my explanations lmao. In my opinion the Survivor who reveals Ghostface should be punished in a mild way like a 5 or 10 second Marked duration, at high MMRs Ghostface gets revealed so much to the point he has no Power.

  • @HugTechLover said:

lol @ the people saying blight needs basekit nerfs as if you’ve even faced against a basekit blight. Nobody runs basekit blight for a reason.

It's the reason why I don't agree with her being a top-of-A-tier-killer. She's tough to really put on a tier list because the difference between playing against survivors who knows how to play against her, and survivors who don't is HUGE.

Yes, that's the case for all killers, but especially Hag. If a Hag goes against 4 survivors who don't know how to play against her, it's an easy 4k almost every time, she's just THAT overwhelming.

However, having even -one- survivor who is actively harassing her, setting off her traps in a safe way etc, can massively neuter her, and if multiple survivors are doing that, it's -really- hard for Hag to really do much.

This is very true. Hag is very reliant on her trap setup, even more so than Trapper because she's a 110 killer. If Survivors just constantly destroy your traps you're useless. They could maybe make it so triggering traps don't destroy them, in order to destroy a trap you have to actually wipe it away which takes up more time. Either way survivors should defo be punished in some capacity for destroying her traps.

An issue I see with buffing Hag though is she'd become even more of a pubstomper. When her Power does work, it's brutally effective and against uncoordinated Survivors she can snowball easily even in her current state. She's weak against experienced and coordinated Survivors but oppressive against newer or solo queue survivors.

I think there is no way to balance Nurse as she is. Her power breaks core game mechanics and nerfing her too much would only result in her dropping several tiers, which isn't great either considering she is not easy.

I don't disagree with that change for Trapper, but it still would only serve to make lockdown Trapper a bit better. Outside of that, there aren't a lot of spots where his traps would be useful. His worst problem are maps. You could set up and reset all your drones from distance and Trapper would still be awful on Ormond. There is no spot where his traps would catch a survivor off guard, which is an issue that many maps have these days.

Billy overall hasn't aged really well and he will continue to get worse. Every new map and map rework is basically a slight nerf to him because it decreases the chances that he gets a good map. The new maps are always awful for him because they are too complex. Complex hitboxes, loop shapes and clutter are what really holds Billy back. That and the fact that survivors are not quite as inexperienced as they were some years ago. Even pretty awful survivors can dodge his chainsaw with very little trouble without looking behind them. So you not only need to mind game, curve perfectly and predict where that survivor will be, but you also need Engravings and a bit of luck or they will just react to the chainsaw and guarantee you miss (which you can do nothing about). Or they crouch. Which should never have been a thing against this killer to begin with.

An idea I had for a Nurse nerf was to allow Survivors to see where she will appear after her Blink allowing them to dodge it in time if they can react, kinda like Dredge's remnant. Allows her to maintain her identity as a Killer that can teleport through walls but making her easier to counter.

i hate hag and trapper because they have to play territorial. for trapper a few guaranteed amount of attempts required to self escape would be nice or maybe even basekit honing stone and for hag very long tp range would solve the issue, imo.

The problem with Hag is that she can be harassed very easily if Survivors are constantly destroying her traps as she's reliant on them to get downs because she's a 110 Killer. Playing Hag against a coordinated SWF is a nightmare.

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Its funny that "a good character performing better than worse characters with worse players" apparantly is a nerf condition for top killers like nurse.

By that logic survivors shouldve been in dire needs of nerfs all along.

But our community has this big survivor bias. "Killer top performance is an outlier in need of removal, survivor top performance is what all survivors should have by default".

All killers below A tier need balancing to make them perform more like A-S Killers to homogenize killer performance. The killer strenght gap actually can be solved (killer abilities) compared to the solo swf gap (player skill and voicechat)

Nurse is overpowered, she ignores pallets, walls, vaults and literally every defence that the Survivors have and against a good Nurse there's almost nothing you can do without breaking line of sight which isn't always possible.

  • @Azulra said:

"Nurse hasn't been touched in 7 and a half years?" That's a dead lie because anyone who has ever paid attention to DBD changes over the years would know that she's been touched a decent amount. As for Artist, her whole purpose is to be a ranged reconnaissance killer meaning that she uses her extreme ranges for info rather than injures. And, besides, getting injures with her crows without being point-blank shots is easier said than done because you have very little time to even do that and you pretty much can't get "double-taps" on gens anymore since BHVR added a feature where survivors have a 3 second immunity window from crow shots after getting swarmed meaning that a survivor would have to be dumb enough to stay on a gen instead of repelling the crows to get hit again.

Also Legion needs the mending phase of his power because if it didn't cause Deep Wound then what stops him from just stabbing the same survivor 4 times then hit another survivor for an insta-down? Removing that mechanic without a full, hard rework to his power would straight up break him and he'd become miserable to play against since he could just come flying at you full speed and insta-down you with one hit which would just flat out be annoying.

Legion's deep wound should be replaced by something else, it's really not fun to play mending simulator constantly.

  • Agreed, I'm personally of the opinion she should be able to fast vault mid Ambush, it wouldn't be too out of character for Amanda.

Nurse has quite the history of nerfs to be fair. Most of which you'll find here. She still needs further adjustments but claiming she hasn't been touched for 7 1/2 years is wrong.

For Trapper, I am genuinely curious, what you would like to buff about him. He already got some considerable buffs but it doesn't change the fact that his power is pretty bad. It doesn't work as the devs want it to work because setting up a trap where everyone will see it (becomes more of an issue with each new map and map rework because there are so few spots to even try and hide traps), will lead to survivors either disarming your power, in which case your power is to apply a little bit of slowdown but only for investing time that you don't have to begin with, slowing yourself down even more, or just avoid them.

Billy needs a lot more than just the removal of overheat. I mean, have you played him over the past couple months? The overheat doesn't hold you back as long as you don't play Drifking Billy (R.I.P. my beloved) and he has a million different issues that make him way worse to play. There have been a few Billy threads recently, so I won't go into too much detail here but he needs some adjustments to his collisions, the old animations and POV should be restored, his base speed during a chainsaw sprint should be slightly increased and the Engravings adjusted accordingly, Off-Brand Motor Oil should be base kit, his hitbox on survivors needs some adjustments and his addons need an overhaul. On top of removing the now pointless overheat mechanic.

I mostly meant she hasn't been changed in a way that has ever dropped her down from being the best Killer, but I did forget 5 blink nurse was a thing lol.

Trapper needs QOL buffs really, starting with all his traps would make a big difference.

Tbh I haven't played Billy since the overheat mechanic was added, but I've heard a lot of people talk about the many issues he has. Hopefully BHVR makes a meaningful updaye to him.

Freddy needs his old power back with QoL improvements.

I've been playing him exclusively for the last... few hours? I've returned to the game recently, and he feels awful, as I suspected he would.

I'm begging BHVR at this point. I need my favorite killer back, no matter the cost.

OG Freddy was awful, he basically had no power. While it was more faithful to the franchise it just didn't fit DBD which is why they reworked him, but yes he defo needs to be looked at again because he's so boring to play as and against.

Whole Rework: Myers? He is fine... the only thing he needs is some changes to his add-ons.

Fine: I mostly agree with this but Chucky is new so let's wait what happens in near-future patches.

Myers is definitely not fine, his power is outdated and he needs a new one. He just feels like a much worse Oni.

Why should Artist have a maximum range? Survivors have plenty of time to react to long range birds so it’s their fault if they get hit and the Artist made a good prediction. She’s fine the way she’s at now.

Artist has incredible map pressure even if she's not injuring people she's forcing them off gens, not to mention she makes certain loops unplayable for Survivors. I think she could do with a nerf to her range IMO.

    What about Pig?

You put her in the buff/nerf category

Nurse has been nerfed... she isn't what she used to be

Legion has hit a wall with the Deep Wounds system...

I haven't played in 6 months so there's a lot I have no experience on

Pig needs a substantial buff, she is getting "tweaked" some time next year but what she really needs are meaningful buffs to her stealth and ambush.

  • He's balanced, it's just that playing him feels nothing like Nemesis. But I imagine that BHVR don't want to add a lore accurate Nemesis for obvious reasons. They could do something more creative with the zombies, like giving him the ability to mutate them or maybe when he reaches Tier 3 Mutation both Nemesis and the zombies become faster and Nemesis can punch pallets/walls to break them for a short duration, but he'll never be like his RE3 self without breaking the game.

Players are trying so hard to change this party game into a international tournament / e-sports game. This game is supposed to be fun and relaxing but it's becoming a chore, a job. Rush the generators quickly or tunnel the survivor to their demise. Equip the best build. T-bag everywhere. Slug 4 survivors and bleed them out.

I'm not saying the past was any better far from it. I just think it really hasn't changed when it comes to players mindset and how everything has to be "I have to use the best perks, items, addons, offerings, killer, survivor, etc." and demanding changes for their personal needs.

Twitch.tv streamers and YouTube channels makes it worse by uploading or streaming clickbait titles and telling you to do this to always win the game. It's like they're encouraging this playstyle.

What I'm trying to say is that people are taking this game way too seriously.

Completely agree, there should be a separate Ranked queue for people who wanna sweat.

  • 1 - Plague

    2 - Pinhead

    3 - Hag

    4 - Sadako

Trying to play against these killers in solo queue is agony. The amount of times my teammates get rolled because they don't interact with the killer's power properly, especially with Plague is crazy to me. Cleansing when there's 5 gens left should be a bannable offence.

Hard to say if they are so invested in the rework that they will hire the voice actors, but it would surely be nice for fans of the movies.

The changes look nice, however I would like it if you could do the boxes preemptively just so you can benefit of the grace period, the killer is getting his slowdown by this as well so it should be alright. Other than that we would have to play test if a 3 second dash would not be a little bit overturned but it could alright and would make pig definitely a lot stronger in chase.

In summon I think the changes are alright, I think there needs to be something done for endgame though, because you are still basically unable to leave if your trap is active and you cannot even fully deactivate it beforehand... But maybe it is not as big of a problem as I think it is?

They did actually get Tobin Bell to voice Jigsaw in the Saw Tome Trailer a while back, and Shawnee Smith has expressed interest in being involved with her character in Dead by Daylight, so it's certainly possible IMO! As a Saw fan myself I'd love to see them in the game.

I think it would be more fun if you could only do the boxes when they're active, the pressure of a ticking clock with your life on the line would make you feel the adrenaline for sure! With certain measures to prevent the Pig from targeting survivors with active traps like I mentioned I think it would be great.

  • Overall Demogorgon is such a likeable killer, great mains and has a perfectly balanced power that is fun for both sides. If I had to say one bad thing about him it's that he can be very oppressive with STBFL.

  • In that situation I'd just slug, if you see a team bring lots of flashlights or toolboxes you can also bring perks like Franklins, Mad grit, starstruck or lightborn just so they can't have fun lmao.

  • @Chiky said:

As a new player with Pig, I would actually like:

-Traps can't be removed unless they are active.

It's so annoying when the traps take like 20 seconds to be off the survivor and then you can't have more... At least make them worried a little while they search

I like that change although it can basically be achieved by the ruleset addon, maybe they could make rule set basekit but I don't know if that would be too strong from a Survivor perspective.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I think the logic behind Ghostface having a faster crouch is that his crouch is basically just a cute bonus whereas Pig’s crouch is directly tied to her stealth and her special attack.

IG you've got a point there, but her stealth is so painfully slow, they should increase it nonetheless. It makes getting around the map feel clunky AF.

Me too, and dredge is also the pure evil and even more evil cuz myers just kills while dredge consumes them like #########?

Dredge isn't really evil, it's similar to Pyramid Head/Demogorgon/Nemesis because it's not a human and as far as we know doesn't have a conscience of it's own.

  • I feel like people overlook how broken Amanda is. She was framed for a drug crime she didn't commit and became a heroin addict in prison, and was targeted by Jigsaw soon after her release. She barely survived her game and was traumatised enough she was able to quit her drug addiction. She was then manipulated into joining Jigsaw's cause, as she believed she was genuinely saved by his game. Even after quitting and being "reformed" in Jigsaw's eyes, she had to cave in to her self destructive tendencies somehow by self harming, and she clearly showed remorse for her first victims. After Adam failed his test he was left to die by Jigsaw, but Amanda was haunted by nightmares and guilt so she attempted to kill him out of mercy. After her plan failed and he died an even more gruesome death at her hands she felt even worse and had a breakdown. Even after she had got her revenge on Eric Matthews, the man who had framed her in the first place, she suffered a mental breakdown. When her and Jigsaw's identities were released, she became extremely reliant and dependent on him, because without him she was nothing now. The reason she began rigging her games to make them unwinnable was to ensure John could not recruit more apprentices and thereby securing her as his favoured and successor. You can see how she becomes hysterical whenever John's condition worsened and how she was willing to kill Lynn to ensure John wouldn't find out about her involvement in his unborn son's death, failing her final test in doing so and dying knowing she had failed her master she had lived to serve. Personally I think she was manipulated and innocent, if anything she was a failure of Jigsaw.

  • Surprised how no one's mentioned Michael when he's described as the embodiment of pure evil.
