  • Yes, because Its easy way to buff/rework perks to make them popular and strong.

  • Maybe in 2025 he finaly might be better and more interesting killer hopefully. Until then, he is stuck with worse Clown bottless that only effect sleepy Survivors bruh and map teleport that gets slowly turned off as gens are getting done.

  • Idk how about you, but when the character changes their body stance, from being 2m tall to being like a dog, with tail up back above his whole body suddenly, Its VERY noticible.

  • They don't want to answer directly because if they start making "promises" (even if they put it is subject to change) and answer all these questions about things that might come in few months or year(s) and don't deliver on them, people will ######### on them for fake promising as in the past.

But at the same time, What is the point of AMA if you will answer 0.05% of all questions and like 1/3 of them are worthless questions like "when new hot skin for my favorite Survivor".

  • How about we wait when his tail is bug fixed before asking for nerfs, hm? His cooldown is bugged atm. He is definitly NOT moving 2.0 m/s atm.

Ah. Okay. Thank you so much for telling me! I suppose I should cherish seeing Switch players for once. Haha.

Np. That's why the crossplay got disabled since different platforms play on different version of the game. Hopefully it will be soon fixed so crossplay is back.

  • And many new problems would rise...

At least make it fair trade. You want 2 very good game changing perks base kit? Then give every Killer Corrupt full 2 minutes and Pop base kit.

  • Wish we had more big balance updates like these, at least 1 every year. It makes the game more interesting for a while again, its more exciting to see like 20+ perk changes on both sides and base kit changes than just new DLCs every few months.

  • The update hotfix is delayed on switch and also PS5(?) according to their social media and patch notes.

  • Survivors (generaly speaking) don't allow any new strong Killers, just look at Xeno complains floods the streets of any social media including some content creators.

So until then, enjoy the same on repeat Killers over and over again.

  • Be carefull what you wish for.

It will nerf stealth Killers early game because Survivors will know who you are and expect you sneak coming in.

"Oh it's ghostface, oh Its wraith, etc." could lead in less suprising = no free hit/down in early game.

  • Read forum rules before posting. This will be locked soon. You can't talk about any kind of bans on forums, period.

Try RB with Singularity, Dredge or SM. Singularity with Family Photo has insane catch up potential. The +5% haste applies to Dredge while he is charging his Remnant. And SM is just good at stacking movement speed.

I agree that some killers would prefer Bloodlust over +5% haste, but it can be really good on some killers.

I tried it with SM and it did nothing and I got Garden Of Pain so left and right safe pallets and windows.

  • I prefer my haste/hindred addons with some nice haste/chase perks for my SM. It's been a long while since I saw someone giving up againts my SM 😎.

  • Not every SM wants to hold games for 30+ minutes. It's rly boring on Killer side as well. I would say the only people who do nothing than just 3-gen are doing it not because Its fun as of gameplay for them but because they want Survivors to suffer.

  • Map of the Realm is must have in order to play him.

  • I honestly don't find it boring to interact with the turrets. Its kinda cool.

And EMPs for Singularity are so simple because its for free. It print itself and fast enough usualy for Survivors to grab them for free to destroy his power. You can't really compare them with other killer power interactions that take time and effort to active. EMPs are almost for free consistently.

  • Bottom A tier or very top B tier.

He is above avarage Killer that can do well, but there are still other Killers that are more Powerfull than him.

Nowhere to hide is, in my opinion, the best perk on killer-side, because it has 0 cooldown

It has a cooldown. You can't kick the same gen many times in row unless Survivors allow it. You have to kick gen and then go to different gen to use it that needs to have progression as well and isn't not being regressed atm. It has a condition, you can't just spam it.

  • Now you're really overdoing it. It's not funny anymore. I can't take you even slighty seriously.

"This killer makes Blight look like balanced." - Are you trying to say Alien is some kind of S tier Killer, next to Nurse or something? My gosh I had enough of dbd forums for today.

  • The Legacy of Survivors trying to maintain the same meta Killers for years continues.

  • Resi is fine. 9% isn't something big but it is not nothing either.

  • I didn't have problem juking or being juked/missed the tail attack on both sides.

The cooldown is definetly noticible as if you miss on pallet you have to wait a bit before you can even start any action other than running.

  • Me who enjoys playing Haste Merchant to chase Survivors with speed seeing all this hate for any Skull Merchant player just because some players 3-gen with her:

    Ó╭╮Ò

  • Killers shouldn't be able to hit Survivors near gens because it helps them hold 3-gen.

  • Knight was quite popular and I still see him from time to time.

Singularity vanished pretty quickly because his power was in hands of Survivors and that is not fun for the Killers to bother with him.

Xeno is for sure popular now, but I allready saw many different killers allready.

I think still Project W wins. When Wesker came out, you saw nothing than just Wesker, Wesker all over the days. And he is still since he came out the most played killer by far in the game.

I don't think Alien will be as popular as him once the hype ends. Wesker is not only stronger but has more fun power to use imo. And Survivors can't counter your chase power with turrets.

  • I agree expect maybe the turrets are bit annoying sometimes when team is good at placing them and playing around them since you have very little time to react and their hitbox doesn't work sometimes (you can't destroy them with M1 for example).

Also Alien perks aren't amazing. The best is the Ultimate Weapon that is great tool to finding someone near you every time you use it. The other two are bad. Haste per hit isn't worth the trade off unless you run Haste Merchant or STBFL and Alien Instinct is like worse BBQ & Chilli.

  • Considering that almost nobody runs this perk ever and it is bit hard to get value out of it in a fair way, I hope they won't patch this.

Same happend with Hoarder perk that was only good on Cenobite, otherwise trash perk that is worthless. And they nerfed it and now for real nobody runs this. It's sad, I liked that combo and I didn't find it OP at all.

  • Xeno in his power is better than Nemesis until Nemesis reaches tier 3 againts infected Survivors.

However, Nemesis has ALWAYS his power unlike Xeno that can be put into M1 Killer quite fast when turrets are well placed.

  • Turrets are like light version of Singularity's EMPs. Not as bad as they are, but still annoying.

  • No Killer should be disabled just because people don't like to play againts them. That would be very stupid.

  • Aha I didn't saw these in patch notes, I thought it's the under (since PTB) bug fixes. My bad.

Anyway, the turret resistance add-on got pretty big nerf, more rare and also less resistance. Damn.

  • It's Survivor perk, so it will take much longer to get some balancing. Usualy in the past, Killers meta gets way faster nerfed if Survivors complain about it compare to the opposite situation.

Maybe at the end of the year at the very best, more likely 2024.

  • I think Survivors now have bit stronger perks than Killers in terms of meta power level, however that doesn't mean Killer perks sucks, there are still few ones that are pretty good (but majority aren't S tier anymore).

She literally puts up a drone at the loop and you get exposed or leave the loop and she catches you with the haste. How is that fun?

If there is anything near by, she usualy won't catch up to you to hit you.

But then do you realise how many Killers in this game have powers that shut down loops and forcing you to run away to get hit?! It's like 1/3 of Killers at this point. Artist, Nemesis, Knight, etc.

Then you just don't like like 30-40% of all Killers than. Skull Merchant is also weaker than these Killers in terms of shutting down loops.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Chase Merchant is just as annoying and oppressive as Chess Merchant they really need to rework her power completely. Dbd is in such a unfun state. We are literally getting Alien and people could not care less. We need new game modes and better designed powers. It would be nice if the people making the game and the people in charge of the decisions started caring more about what they created.

Can you please explain how Chase Merchant (so M1 Killer who can at best gain some extra Haste, but you still have to chase normaly aka loop her) is oppresive and annoying?

It's like saying Wraith is overpowered because he also goes fast and invisible and he is M1. I don't understand. She is just M1 Killer with info power and bit extra haste.

  • I like Skull Merchant and think she is quite unique because of these two builds I like to run (playstyles)

    • Haste/Chase Merchant = you pick perks for chase and haste and you pick the very rare addons which make you faster even more and also slows down Survivor movement for a bit. Combo this and your drone is real chase power. You place drones on gens as bait for Survivors to give you haste.
    • Totem Merchant = Is like Gen Merchant but much better. Instead of blocking game progression, you are protection your powerfull perks and waste time for Survivors trying to delete them. If they do, your backup plan can be Pentimento for extra round 2. You can run Devour Hope, chase people normaly to then be lethal in the game and forcing Survivors to go for your guarded totems, in which where you can down them again, etc.
  • Yes, it is the only way how some Killers can somewhat deal with MFT (overpowered perk) and other exhaustion perks. That add-ons are bit risky to run because not every single Survivor has exhaustion perk, making the add-on worthless sometimes.

Exhaustion add-ons are only good / decent / bad depending on the Survivors meta.

  • I think it's only worth running with STBFL. Otherwise I wouldn't use it, maybe only test it on Haste Merchant with her haste add-on for maximum speedy.

  • I didn't read it all since it is way too long and complicated all together and this is also what this complete rework would be: overcomplicated.

Making Killer go from 4.6 to 4.4 is a huge nerf and he would feel less fun to play as allready with this change (I personaly don't much like slow movement killers).

And the rest just sounds like super overcomplicated spagetty. Not only this would take ages to programm but would be probably buggy as well and neither side would understand this power. Then people would complain about his power again because it reads like 4 pages of a book.

Rather keep Knight as is than this thing. I know you put a lot of effort into making this post but I don't see how this would make him any better or fun for neither side. In the end, Knight is simple killer that has minions to do or help him to do stuff with him and I would prefer to keep it that way. Not every Killers needs to have X counterplayers on every loop and 37373 things to do.

  • I am suprised Steam allowed this in the first place, including full games. You can still to my knowledge share your main games, just without DLCs.

You can't blame Steam or any other Devs of any game to "omg how dare you charging me for... payed contend that costs money to make".

Add your suggestions on how a small update can massively change the the player experience for the better.

Rules : it should not require major reworks and changes. And devs should not have a logical counter argument to it.

I'll toss in a few suggestions to start :

    - Perma disable chat option inside options. This will disable the toggle on/off chat option.

    - Hitting a survivor on the hook twice while no other survivor is within 3m of the hook will make the hooked survivor selfunhook and be given off the record trigger.

    - performing two consecutive crouches inside the gates or up to 3m away from them on the outside will block the escape for that survivor for 1 minute. Will retrigger if repeated.

    - any slurs and insults written in the chat will result into auto bans without any moderation.

All these cause massive goods with little to no bads.

    Post your suggestions.

Then Killers will only hit you once, it is enough for them to show you tbag or dislike on you.

Then Survivors will still tbagg you all match long. Survivors will still press one crouch button before leaving, showing you tbagg to you as well. It doesn't have to be 4646854 times for the other side to notice it.

Auto bans where filter thinks saying something like "oven, rabbit, etc." or even character names gets instantly censored, nice. I would never trust Devs with auto ban system.

See? this would fix NOTHING you are trying to fix. It would just make both sides adapt and it would just add more complicated rules and mechanic into the game. Even worse for new players.

I get you trying to fix toxicity, but you can never do it even if you are dev. People will always find new ways to tbag or be toxic to other side. It doesn't even have to be in chat.

  • If you are going for the rescuer and the unhooked Survivor just goes all their way to tank the hit for them with base kit BT, then they asked for being tunneled and you don't have to apologize, excuse or justify anything. You didn't want them, but they on purpose got in your way to "Hey Killer, hit me please!" so you did. They want attention and you will give it to them as they wanted to.

  • EMPs totaly suck out whole fun out of him, add on top of that super sensitive cameras and mix it with very big map dependency, and you have cake called Singularity that (almost) nobody plays.

I am problably not bothering with his challeges either.

  • Also I will add that he is super map dependant thanks to how his cameras are super sensitive to any line of sight blockers and the fact you need the have line of sight to teleport on Survivors. If you get Lerrys or any indoor map you felt like you will have bad time allready.

  • @C3Tooth said:

I dont think EMP is a problem, its survivors' build-in slow down mechanic that weaken killer as a reward. Its only EMP printed on its own, which slow down isnt exist.

Perhaps EMP can only self print to a certain progression, then the aura showed up for survivors to spend extra 8sec to get an EMP. And only survivors get caught by bio pod can see the EMP chest, like Wesker.

A little of QoL can change alot of thing.

Its not really slowdown if takes you like 1 second to grabed fully printed EMP, even mid chase sometimes.

    Iron grasp?

Nope, that perk just makes you carry Survivors easier and for tiny bit longer, it doesn't do anything directly with sabotage. The best very soft counter would be Agitation since you move faster and you also can carry futher than with Iron grasp by a bit.

  • Nowhere to Hide, Whispers, THWACK!, Thrilling Trem., Surveillance, Oppression for info.

As for filler perk, you can't go wrong with anything if it's filler perk.
