I really just want a fun skull merchant
I know people will say "she has no map pressure" or "her power sucks" because no one uses her correctly. The idea isn't to apply pressure through out the map instead during chases she can cause survivors to lose sight of her because of her drones making her undetectable in large tiled or force survivors away because they can end up exposed. All the skull merchants I have always carry Oppression, Overcharge I wouldn't be surprised if they also brought Surge alone and of course the add-ons always the same brown noise maker and shotgun speakers. Listen if I play Skull Merchant usually once in a blue moon as I rarely play killer my load out is simple. Brutal strength,Lethal pursuer, most times lightborn(call me a baby all you want I'm happy not having to constantly deal with flashlight bully squads) and usually one random perks and add-ons I go with what I might want to usually low power mode and vital targeting. Skull Merchant is more then likely designed to be a chase killer instead all the matches I face her are just look I placed a drone at three close gens.

I like Skull Merchant and think she is quite unique because of these two builds I like to run (playstyles)
Can you please explain how Chase Merchant (so M1 Killer who can at best gain some extra Haste, but you still have to chase normaly aka loop her) is oppresive and annoying?
It's like saying Wraith is overpowered because he also goes fast and invisible and he is M1. I don't understand. She is just M1 Killer with info power and bit extra haste.
Same thing, fundamentally, as Knight and Artist.
Stay at loop = dead
Leave loop = live
Providing the other side with only one possible counterplay is rarely fun
If there is anything near by, she usualy won't catch up to you to hit you.
But then do you realise how many Killers in this game have powers that shut down loops and forcing you to run away to get hit?! It's like 1/3 of Killers at this point. Artist, Nemesis, Knight, etc.
Then you just don't like like 30-40% of all Killers than. Skull Merchant is also weaker than these Killers in terms of shutting down loops.
Well first of all, her haste is very conditional as it relies on someone being tracked to even get it.
Played as a chase killer we're getting at most just the initial 3% haste so on par with a survivor's made for this, but we lose that haste the basically a couple moments after someone stops being tracked.
So, if you don't greed the loop till you're locked on which takes 10 seconds at base you're not in any more danger than normal. She get absolutely dumpstered once start chaining tiles together because there range limit in terms of how close two drones can be placed.
In order for us Merchant players doing chase to get the most value on haste we still need to place at least two drones in general areas where survivors need to go so that we can reliably have someone tracked while we're in a chase and two drones to use in the chase itself.
We don't really get optimal value until someone has a clawtrap on which gives far more time. You should rare if ever get exposed by a Merchant actually playing their power as a chase/stealth power because she can only for you to leave a loop. Not trap you in one like Knight or potentially shorten a chase like Singularity.
As much as I agree with you in regards with SM, a lot of people are hyped for alien so this conception seems to have no evidence behind it, also it would be really good if you described what a fun power is, since we can agree things like knight and SM are unfun af, but then to some people any power that is remotely good is classified as unfun.
You usually play with 5 perks?
Damn, I wish I knew that tech.
