Bad. Pinks remain neutered along with the addons that helped them. Magically buffing the pinks hindered from 12% to 14% doesn't make them better especially when Vigil is growing rapidly in popularity. I would go as far as to say Freddys snare is better slowdown now cause at least that lasts for a decent amount of time even though they don't work on awake survivors.
Not to mention the yellow activation staying at 1 second now is just throw yellow at feet.Even without Vigil the duration is simply too low. Purples will feel like wastes of ammo in most situations. They now want us to spam piss bottles right in front of us all game. Thrilling gameplay innit…

Disappointed Blood Amber still got pushed through as a nerf and higher Rarity to boot.
Blood Amber getting a rarity upgrade alongside a humongous nerf is quite a BHVR moment.

He's getting buffed tho?
Even if he is, this (unneeded) rework killed his playstyle and identity for no reason.
-
Expected more effort when it comes to PTB changes, not going to lie. Clown in particular. All of his best addons are still slaughtered, Pinky Finger still is a waste of iri addon slot and throwing yellow bottles at your feet 24/7 like a monkey still is the optimal way to use them.
-
Debatable.
-
Well, he's getting his "S techs" removed in the patch so that's already a nerf, technically.

The reason for most of these Oni changes has been because his flicks could not be done with a controller, so they've tried to make it possible. Of course this would change how he plays with a mouse there's no avoiding that.
So they continue to tinker with it, I'm guessing with the goal of somewhat appeasing Oni players using either input device.
And controllers still won't be able to pull the same flicks that mouses can now do. Both peripherals are fundamentally different, BHVR won't ever be able to do anything about it no matter what they do. Whatever input-related killer tweak they implement to a killer, mouses will be able to do it better than 'rollers. Always.

We have 1 day left to enjoy our killer, clownbros.

I think it'd be cool if once you unbind, Charlotte becomes an AI M1 killer, and Victor upon hitting a survivor, doesn't latch onto healthy survivors anymore, and had a cooldown on the spot before being controlled by an AI to continue chasing the hit player, like a Knight guard. If Victor downs the survivor with a Springtrap style scratchy scratch grab attack up close and personal, he'll latch onto them then (like in the PTB that made them the best killer in the game temporarily,) preventing the survivor from picking themselves up, from recovering and requiring a teammate to get rescued from Victor's clutches. Charlotte can't recall Victor in this state, or that'll just let them slug again. Charlotte upon coming close to Victor, would bind with Charlotte again automatically (latched or in chase), letting you release him on a different survivor, or control him and down the already injured Survivor yourself. Charlotte at anytime can also recall Victor as she can now, if hes struggling to down the survivor and you'd like your power back, its available at anytime the second the AI takes over.
This way, Twins can truly be a killer that hunts as a pair, getting the slowdown of the advertised 2v4. The only way to get rid of victor once he hits you essentially is to crush him instantly and give Victor back to Charlotte, or keep the killers power and risk going down. This way they can't slug since Victor will either get crushed in his AI chase, or he'll get the down and latch onto the downed survivor until you pick up. Charlotte should be able to make her pick ups now, since survivors can't recover while victor is attached to them.
Thoughts? Just a speedrun comment, i barely thought about what I've said, kinda just wingin it
Twins already is a killer truly works in pair. Charlotte's inert body bodyblocks windows/pallets and can catch vaulters when placed well, that's how you do it. There's already Knight and Nemesis if you want to work along an AI.

She is a difficult killer to balance solely because of her insta kill mechanic. We've seen how quickly that can spiral out of control after her first rework.
Her instakill mechanic only works against newbies/casual players who refuse to learn. They shouldn't be considered when tweaking a killer power. She needs an actual chase power for those matches against proper survivors.
-
Maybe fix the 2 janky commands first before considering a third one.
-
Half of the entire map pool of this game has been in need of a rework for years.

I didn’t get much. Around 300 in total across both survivor and killer :( wasn’t having much fun with the event
It's pretty hard to run out of them if you use your normal BP offerings first anyway. I still have hundreds of year 5/6 cakes.

I hope they just do a full revert honestly. If they wanted to make clowns purples less dominant they could have just nerfed the addons not the base bottles themselves. It was also the issue of, you can't force a player to use both bottles.
Their ego prevents them from doing a full revert.
-
No. But they are so rare that I don't mind all that much.

I dont think they make an actual difference.
yeah, 3 blinks make nurse unfair, but they dont really enable particularly more. you should be getting your hits with 2 blinks, you should be making correct reads already anyway.
bigger lunge / sloppy / recall arent that mandatory to her power either, but sure, you could make a case they make massive difference.
but from what I was seeing, most good nurses, streaking nurses and comp nurses arent taking those addons even if they have an option. On contrary, blights used to run his pre-nerf iris quite a lot
Then you need to see/listen more. Any comp Nurse player will confirm you that those are her best addons by far.
-
Nurse less than 20%? I get that her default power level is so absurdly high that it may feel this way but it really isn't. The 3-blink, recall blink and increased lunge addons are all ridiculously overtuned.
-
We'll know in a few days. Just wait.
-
It won't ever get much better as long as no server in Eastern Europe is opened. Half of Frankfurt is filled with 60ms+ Ruskies/Ukries.
-
Something tells me you were already were struggling on killer before Springtrap…
-
I forgot to mention this in the ptb thread but basically I think it's a FANTASTIC idea to delete useless addons in survivor items and keeping them to just 5. Survivor bloodwebs have so much cluster that its impossible to get what you want.
New Blood Amber is a waste of iri slot though. Which is not exactly fantastic.

Double standard much, mister "pretty good job so far"?
In Clown's case they literally nerfed every single of his good addons, not only the purple ones. Also, I fail to see the "giga" surv buffs. Could you enlighten us?
-
Why fixing problematic maps when you can put time and resource into making variants of all the already well-balanced maps only to disable them all after less than a year anyway.
-
There was a phase 1?

It's crazy that they're altering killers like Clown, yet leave killers like Blight and Ghoul the way they are. Blight is flat-out overpowered, yet they completely ignore it and allow him to continue with 1000+ victories. Ghoul is unhealthy, yet left as it is.
Hey, it's false to claim that they ignore them! They give them a slap on the wrist once every 4 years that they immediately compensate by giving them new stupid addons or buffing already-problematic ones (Cherry Blossom, Nurse's increased lunge, new Blight iris, Nurse triple blinks etc).
-
You never should have watched it anyway. TG in only good in its original comic form.

Heres the thing. You can still use yellows without instant activation. The learning curve is not that high to the point where they need a 1 second activation. If one of the best clowns can do it on controller with his self proclaimed "boomer thumbs" then most people can.
True but let's also not pretend that he is "one of the best Clowns". One of the best controller Clowns, sure.
-
Twins 2.0. Don't get your hopes too much up because something tells me that this killer won't ever stop being an unreliable buggy mess.

It is like… Now you have to use both types of bootles to get any value. People will go play easyer and stronger killers instead like blight and nurse. Not like clown is rare already.
And yet, current Clown gets noticeably more value from using both bottles simultaneously than PTB one.
-
Clown needed neither buffs nor nerfs. He actually was one those killers that was in a quasi-perfect spot in terms of balancing so the fact that they decided to rework him this hard is puzzling, to say the least. The only nerf he "needed" to have was for Cigar Box and the only buff for Pinky Finger.
-
They already nerfed it . Leave it be.

Not happening. We were waiting 2+ years for rework that ended up just being some QoL Changes.
And straight buffs. To an already borderline S tier killer. Just BHVR things.

Been swimming in syringes for years. White Wards always made it easy. Now that everything is cheaper and you're swimming in BPs you don't even need them to indefinitely sustain iri addons.

wasn't slingshot removed few patches ago?
or did players find another way to do it, because if so, space kaneki is back on the menu
Space Kaneki never left, just became a lot less consistent.

Because survs do gens and try to loop the killer. That's why.

Most tweaks given to Chucky was because survivors complained about it.
Scamper never felt like a free hit to me but people cried it was. Most of the time survivors made it around before I could get under the pallet.
That's rich coming from a Nurse player.

justice for frank stone
even if it wasn't popular, some of their original chapters aren't. They still make skins for skull merchant, twins, and hag after all. At absolute worst, frank stone would be like them, less played killers with a few dedicated fans (like me)
Yeah it makes no sense that they wouldn't at least do a Frank Stone killer paragraph.
-
Thoughts? Pretty negative ones, I'd say. This event has been awful since the 2023 iteration, gameplay-wise, and instead of taking into account criticisms from last year they doubled down by buffing the telekinetic hook and copy-pasting everything else. Wouldn't be surprised if they did it on purpose just so that we don't miss it.
-
That's what happens when you decide to design a high mobility killer with controller players in mind. He's like the equivalent of aim assist in FPSes.
-
Yes it is. We know this since the day of release.

A big problem is she has "stealth" but there is also a "lullaby" which is directional, so any experienced survivor with a headset knows exactly what direction you are coming from and just preruns.
Teleport to TV? prerun.
The real problem is that she has no chase power.
-
Just the latest cope that struggling killer mains are having. There always has to be something out of their hands to justify all their shortcomings.
-
Cringe. This event is not good (gameplay-wise). It hasn't been since 2023.
-
I think that she needs to stop throwing logs already. If Blizzard could fix Hanzo's arrows, so could BHVR.

I do not like speed buffs on killers as a means to “buff” them. It feels cheap to go against, and it’s the reason why I despise Wraith so much. I would prefer for both Wraith & Pig’s stealth to have been buffed, and speed increase omitted. I like Pig terror radius going away quicker. Her knife being unsheathed should get a buff like Demo’s hiss before he attacks; when you hear it and don’t see it- you know you’re definitely getting hit. As for Wraith- remove his heavy foot steps when cloaked, decrease the amount of distance before you see him cloaked, remove his snarl when cloaked, and give him that bell add-on where you can’t tell where he is at on the map, as default. Now that would make Wraith scary as hell.
As for Clown, I feel like he’s in a good spot now. Maybe keep him as is and remove the option for survivors to get use out of his yellow piss bottles? I don’t play Clown, but sometimes I get the impression certain clown players are scared to use them more often out of fear the survivor will get more value than the clown himself.
Yeah, a lot of not-so-good Clown players are scared of using yellow bottles because they (poorly) do so and therefore often end up giving the buff to survivors. Maybe BHVR was catering to those types of players all along with this rework…
-
Yeah the Blood Amber and charge changes killed the item. None of the new additions are even close to make up for what they did to the addon. Keys are going to be the worst they have ever been, thanks Behaviour…
-
Thanks for the numbers. Still a painfully bland and unsatisfying playstyle, comparatively. I'd rather keep the current slightly-weaker Clown than this one, personally.
