Cooldown to Tinkerer? That perk is completely fine the way it is and not all killers can even use it to their full advantage.
-
I think she is fun but you can definitely have your bad luck and have a ######### map that has to much obstacles to really do anything cool. She is still relatively strong and scary no matter what though even though I personally find her a bit easy to loop.
-
The only real reason he is weak is for the fact that he just suffers on getting those second hit's on survivors to down them. Legion is a slow mobility killer and his ability just feel horribly designed since it barely helps to down people in chases. That said he is an amazing staller in the game, with the new Thanatophobia it's quite horrible for survivors since the game will last a whole ######### year on ending. People usually DC Against Legion if you use the Thanato- Sloppy combo since it just becomes a nightmare and a huge drag to play the game. Their design and backstory are cool but he is just boring to use and INCREDIBLY boring to play against.
-
DS is quite easy to avoid honestly, it's only strong in endgame or if combined with Unbreakable.
Head On is top tier meme perk but it's complete trash factually speaking.
Dead Hard is WAY to easy to bait to really be considered strong honestly. And let's not forget those times the game just leaves exhausted on he floor by trying to use it.

Next time I get a 4 man SWF with all identical KAte densons with meta perks I'll call you in bub.
Yeah, I truly doubt you go against survivors who use the same characters all the time but I do get your point.
-
For survivors it can be quite hard since the map is a huge dead zone. Only some few OK pallets and a bunch of T,L loops. I don't hate but I don't really love it either, since it looks like a map that was mostly created without much thought or life to it. Honestly most of the Autohaven Wreckers maps, Ormond and Red Forest are much worse.
-
Nope, I still rarely ever found it. Last time I found a survivor with OoO I was the Wraith in The Game several months ago, so it really didn't affect me that much thankfully.
-
Plague and Legion are the definition of unfun when it comes to playing as and against them in DBD. Legion powers is just stupid, hit a survivor to see where everyone is, his not even particularly strong but he seems to be the best staller in the game. Thanatophobia and Sloppy on him can make the game last over a year cause Legion himself is a ######### killer on actually downing people. It's just a super boring playstile honestly.
Plague powers just grants very scummy playstyles and basically counters all healing perks in the game. Doesn't help that all Plague player currently just slug for the whole match once they manage to get their corrupt Vile on.
Honorable mention: Possibly the Pig players, half of them just tunnel relentlessly even if you have the damn reverse trap stuck on your head.
-
From what I understand, this type of huge rank gaps usually happens when they are SWF. All my friends have different ranks and we always seem to gain a super random killer from virtually any rank. Yesterday I played with two of them, two of us were red ranks while the other was yellow rank. First killer two killer were yellow. then green and finally a red rank. But in general matchmaking in this game has always been hilariously weird.
-
I think Huntress Lullaby is actually pretty good, but just like Devour Hope it's a bit to tough to stack up. Since it's also a Hex perk you mostly just rely on how good the spawns of the totems of the map your in are and praise nobody is using Detectives Hunch. By your descriptions I think it's a B.
I also think Thanatophobia needs to be A, that perk is a huge time saver and I personally use it on almost all my killers. Combined with Sloppy its quite disgusting. I think the rest are mostly accurate, maybe Third Seal for D since the very rare times it works it REALLY works.
-
When it comes to killer abilities that piss me of. Ghost face, Plague and Legion makes me wanna throw my controller through a window. Ghost-face Night Shroud feels horribly bugged and I despise getting exposed right when I take his power off or when I am looking directly at the guy but the game says no. Legion is just boring as hell to play against since all he does is injured people and usually if they run Thanatophobia with Sloppy and Pop I usually just DC and Plague is just a dumb slug machine that rewards a scummy and boring play style.
But when it comes to how people play, Most Plagues Hags and Pigs users I found tunnel like there is no tomorrow.

You also have to understand tunneling is just an evil spawned from the way the game was designed. You cannot go around playing musical hooks if you want any consistency winning your matches. Your goal as killer is to get someone out the game ASAP. I understand its not fun, and I would like the game design to change so that's not the case so you can punish tunneling without punishing the killer for doing their job. I mean you could kinda do that now if you just rework DS so its only hits the hard tunnelers. I wouldn't say it lets the killer do anything they're not supposed to do. Survivors do gens, killers get people out the game, its how it works. It doesn't reward plays you shouldn't make otherwise. My main 2 problems with DS is that it hits people who were not tunneling at all, and that it just lest survivors do as they please without a care or repercussions.
I wouldn't say "for virtually no reason" or 'because i was tormented", it might have been because you were closer to getting out then the Nancy.
Yeah, sadly I know. I simply think PH torment ability can make him MUCH more of pain when it comes to tunneling. Since the usuals helpful perks against tunneling means Jack ######### for him.
Nah man, he had killed already one survivor and everybody else were already hooked once. There was no real reason to tunnel especially when there is literally somebody in the middle of the map and your POV doing a damn gen. But yeah I do know DS is pretty BS in general and kinda easy to abuse but I personally think it's only really strong at endgame.. They should definitely change DS and either only make one survivor at the time have it avaible or if two people have it activated at the same time make the timer for one of them go out much faster. Maybe that way it will be much better to deal with if mor3 than 2 survivors have it in game.

If you get unhooked while tormented just jump into a nearby locker. Now the roles are reversed and its the survivor who has zero counterplay, just how they like it.
Also lol nobody, NOBODY ever complained about babysitter not activating. Not second wind or camadaderie either. For what its worth pyramid loses BBQ and Pop which are two of the most powerful and common killer perks, along with MYC, Devour, and we can even name the meme perks like Huntress lullaby and blood echoes. It's actually a fair trade.
I doubt the people that intentionally play the way I mention will even use those perks but I guess it somewhat of a fair trade. I simply mentioned some of the possible perks that survivors get countered. They don't have to be particularly good or particularly popular. They are simply examples.

I appreciate the effort and the long post, but I was replying to that person because they implied the same thing about Legion and I was very confused.
As to your original point, I disagree. The cages have their own downsides and the survivors have to put the torment on themselves by running over the trail, its more than fair. I believe its fine for 1 killer to not be susceptible to the absolute degeneracy DS allows, which is itself, a no skill perk. If anything its a negative skill perk that rewards bad play in its current state. Especially because the cages themselves work in a way that really hurts anyone trying to tunnel compared to just hooking them. BT is also in the same boat but to a lower degree.
The survivors do have a way to take it off, save someone from the cage. Don't unhook close to the killer and they can't come right back, if they're camping do gens. PH doesn't do anything that changes that dynamic, its survivor bad habits that cause those problems.
Oh whoops than my bad there.
The thing is it PH torment just makes the killer also play in a degenerate kind of way. It's not particularly difficult to make someone touch the torment trial, (lasagna trial as I like to call it) cause at the moment it's a bit buggy. The trial can literally turn invisible at times and you can accidentally touch it. Last game I had against PH happened, It was Barham and I was walking in the hallway with nothing on it but suddenly Steve just screams and I was tormented . After I got unhooked , not even 60 seconds in and killer straight up ignore a Nancy working on a can cause he saw me tormented and tunnels for virtually no reason. It can be annoying so I really think survivors should have at least a way to take the torment off without having to get send the cage in the first place. I know DS is super hated and understandably so but getting tunneled off hook just cause your tormented is not exactly to fun either. And no the Nancy that saved me after did a safe unhook. PH simply had bbq but even though saw the Nancy first working on a gen he saw a glimpse of Steve beaitiful hair and I got essentially tunneled cause, ######### me I guess and No I didn't even had DS.
I got tunneled off the hook cause I touch an invisible lasagna trail, super cool.

Wym, he doesn't cancel any perks and the counter play is literally run in a straight line, juke, or stun him. I am confusion.
Actually, if you are tormented and he puts you in a cage it essentially makes a lot of perks useless. Examples are Kindred, DS, Second Wind, Borrowed Time, Camaraderie, Deliverance if he for some reason decides to cage you on first time), Babysitter, We'll Make It and virtually every other perk that activates from being unhooked or being hooked, from both the guy who is stuck in the cage and the one who uncages you. And a lot red ranks recently are putting you or try to put you in the torment status before first hook, they hook normally but the moment you get off the hook they come right back or just camp to put in the cage virtually cancelling DS or any other hook based perk for virtually no real skill whatsoever. I think his cage needs a bit of a rework OR give the survivors a way to take the torment status off. Maybe something similar like Freddy's dreamworld mechanic.
-
I only really consistently ever use Sprint Burst or Lithe since I think those are the better of the bunch. Sometimes Adrenaline to get a free health state at the end and save myself if I am in a bad spot but it's quite rare honestly. Balanced Landing mostly depends on the maps and there are literally maps that have 0 places to drop off. Dead Hard can be used effectively but with latency issues and random lag spikes it's not worth using, Plus once killer know you have DH and has a functioning brain it hilariously easy to bait out. Head On is garbage and just a meme perk at this point.

I'm playing as survivor right now to finish my challenges
Oh, not really sure then, only real reason could be that the DC ban is not activated so if people get annoyed by killers play style or some other dumb excuse they DC and search for another game quickly. My advice maybe try activating the cross play, que waiting time is much faster and like I said, I really haven't found any rage quitters on the survivors side, though from the killers side I did had a few.
-
What killer are you playing as? I have cross play on and I really haven't found many rage quitters. Behaviour also disabled for the moment the DC ban so survivors will probably take some advantage with it.

"When a survivors camps they aren't doing objective but they are not stopping the killer from doing his job," I disagree, if the survs do not take any risks whatsoever so they cannot be found out of sheer luck, thats stopping the killer from doing chasing and gen protection. He is limited to just searching then, which is doomed from the start since survs have a massive advantage in a hiding game against the killer. Sure the killer is busy, but he achieves nothing, just like a slugged survivor. But the later at least is guaranteed to get out due to the bleed out timer.
I think thats the core disctinction between our views. You consider the "potential to do something": a slugged surv cannot do anything, a killer against immersed can still walk around. I consider the "potential to get out of the game": a slugged surv will be out after 4 minutes bc he bled out. A killer searching for immersed players will never get out until the survs give up or make a mistake. The killer is dependent from the "mercy" of the survivors he's playing against in this situation, thats what makes it a hostage situation. Thats also the view from the devs, btw, so if you want to report someone for taking the game hostage, you would have to assert the situation using this "potential to get out of the game" metric.
But overall, I think you are right with the stalemate, so I won't argue any further from now on :). And yes, I totally agree that both situation are super unfun, although personally I'm more annoyed by the survs-not-doing-anything situation. But I'm more or less a killer main, so I'm biased anyway ^^. I also will slug the second to last one to at least find the hatch to close it (if it already spawned). But then I'll likely let you out of a gate, if you were not toxic or annoying ^^.
"thats stopping the killer from doing chasing and gen protection" so here is the big grey area. Before you start a chase you need to FIND the survivors. For me finding a survivor is basically another one of the killer objectives in my eyes. It's find, chase and protect gens at all costs. That is mostly the reason I don't think hiding in any situations is taking the game hostage. The only real way for me for a survivor to take the game hostage is to literally get in a spot where the killer can't do jack about. Neither injure him, grab him etc.
"Thats also the view from the devs, btw," pretty sure someone recently added a photo of Peanits actually saying hiding wasn't taking the game for hostage but it is reportable. Not to sure though, been a while since I had checked the other pages.
Well, at least this argument was fun and civil XD. But yeah we both have really different ideas about this whole taking a game hostage scenario. I play on both sides so I do understand the idea of hiding for to long as taking the game for hostage. The important thing is that we understood each other ideas and respected them.
-
I had always had the idea that maybe the best way to nerf SWF is by reducing it to just two survivors or possibly 3. Another decent way could be by limiting the perks they can repeat. Like only one survivors could use Unbreakable and DS while the others aren't available, only one can use Prove Thyself something like that. To make interesting combinations of survivors instead of fighting against the same 4 second chance perks everybody uses.

That sounds really biased, to be honest. If slugging for 4k is a hostage situation bc it's "way to long and both survivors can't really do much", why is survivors hiding and doing nothing NOT taking hostage? That takes WAY, WAY, WAY longer and there's also not much the killer can do, unless they get lucky or a survivor screws up. At least the first situation has a fixed timer, so the survivors can just give up and wait out the bleedout timer (they can deny any healing by holding shift). The killer cannot just give up in the second situation, it's either find them or DC and lose all progress of this match.
We are definitely in a stalemate here honestly but I can see your point of view. But like I said, the survivor by hiding is not taking the game hostage cause it's not preventing the killer to end the game in any way. With good map awareness or a small map this is literally no problem and will not happen in 90% of the games. It only takes as long as the killer or survivor permits it to be honestly, the killer is either doing a bad job (unless it's a huge map) or the survivors are absolute ninjas. I have had several game like this but I usually don't DC or believe they are taking the game hostage, Yes it's boring when it happens but you can still find them and down them normally. While slugging for the 4K has a fixed timer your basically rendering one survivors entirely useless while the other can only either wait for the killers mercy or risk getting the revive just to potentially restart the whole process again. Which is the reason most survivors who gets slug in the 2v1 usually DC. Instead of waiting the whole 4 minutes and possibly cocking their teammate.
When a survivors camps they aren't doing objective but they are not stopping the killer from doing his job, when killer slug for the 4K you are essentially stopping the survivors from doing any real objectives and just have to painfully wait for the timer or risk everything.
That is my view on things and I personally don't really sound to biased to neither side (I believe). If you view that situation as taking the game for hostage than ok, I respect your opinion and I am not trying to change it. Just trying to make you view both situations and while they suck, I rather be the killer searching for immersed survivors then getting my body stuck on the floor like a sack of ######### not available to do nothing 4 painful minutes. Even if we disagree on this subject lets at least just admit both situations are super boring and not fun at all.
-
Yeah, sadly it's still a thing. Yesterday I accidentally got stuck on a hill in the map coal tower and the killer (who was a rank 1 Hillbilly) literally used that to his full advantage. He looked at me and recognize I was stuck so instead of taking me out of the damn spot he literally just left me there stuck. Once I got stuck all the momentum we had went to ######### cause he kept downing everybody with the chainsaw . Funny thing is I DC'd near the end because I got tired of basically being stuck in a dumb glitch and the last survivor managed to find the hatch and I got hate mail for DCing. XD. Despite the fact he used a GLITCH to his advantage to win he was somehow pissed at me.

Taking the game hostage has nothing to do with undesireable / uncounterable situations, it means you can not finish the trial on your own, since the other party is preventing you from doing so. Slugging does not keep you from dying, it just prolongs it. So it's no hostage situation. The only way a killer can take you hostage is blocking you without hitting and then holding you there for as long as he wants.
I mean, Holding the game hostage for me is basically when someone is doing something that the other player can do nothing about. I have never really interpreted hiding in an obscure corner of the map as taking the game for hostage. It just "prolongs the time a survivor can stay alive". That why I only view slugging for the 4K somewhat as taking the game for hostage, cause sure there is a timer, but it's way to long and both survivors can't really do much of the situation unless certain perks are on play, but hey what do I know.
-
I don't really consider hiding and not doing objectives in a 2v1 scenario as taking the game for hostage. The only real way for me for a survivors to hold the game hostage is if they abuse some spot where the killer can't catch them or pick them up. The only time I am ever bothered with the last two survivors hiding and not doing gens is if the map is way to big (Red Forest, Sanctum of Wrath, Haddonfield etc.) Becasue if it's a small map then it shouldn't be to difficult to find them if you know the map well. Besides it is the killers job to find said survivors so it's technically not taking the game for hostage if you can actually still do your objective without any interruption of some kind. I have always been very open about this and I actually do think slugging for the 4K is somewhat taking the game for hostage cause apart from Unbreakable and maybe Soul Guard there is very little a survivor can actually do. AND even if I use Unbreakable nobody is stopping the killer to just down the other person and begin the whole slug process again. So from a 4 to 8 minute timer maximum of the survivor either waiting for the killer to finally kill the survivor and not elongate the game or taking the chance to pick up the other survivor and evade the slug process again. It's boring for both sides and I will probably never be in favor of it unless they either reduce the timer in these specific 2v1 situations or add a way to kill myself while being absolutely useless crawling on the floor. Camping in 2v1 situation while sometimes annoying, is much more easier to "end" because one glimpse of the survivor and it's over.
-
For killers, almost all of the Hag skins are dreadfully awful and lame. They don't look cool or scary, they just look ugly to look at.
HM: Eaily the candle Wraith, to silly to take seriously.
For survivors: Almost all of Ace skins outside of his default common ones look awful.
HM: Yui and Nea skins are neck on neck for lame skins for survivors. Though Nea rainbow colored hair styles are easily the worst ones. The problem with Yui is that her skins don't really look that different from each other.

This only proves that you're one of the worst players in this game and should get perma banned to make the game better.
Imagine being such a noskill to slug all 4 survivors. Imagine giving survivors no points for a trial, and getting ONLY 12-15k as a killer, because you are such a noskill, NOT TO MENTION THE BONUS 104% CAKE. What pathetic level of IQ one must have to play in such way...
I've just created a thread about camping/tunneling etc. and look! It has been removed! They def. don't care about survs. 80-90% of ALL killers play like c**ts, and they se NOTHING wrong with that, disgusting.
>No. The game is over. Once I slug all 4 survivors and none of them have Unbreakable, the only thing left for me to do is camp the hook until every survivor reaches struggle phase. They have 0 chance to win in this scenario.
Then you pick one, make him/her wiggle, unhook/heal others, and continue playing. Stop being a d**k. This game is not for you.

This, but how the heck did you only unhook yourself TWICE for 2-3 years? I unhooked myself 7 times and I'm playing for like 3 months... and I'm not even trying.
RNG is never in my favor I guess and I only ever try to jump off if my team is not coming for me, everyone else got screwed or if I want to die on first hook for ######### teammates or douchy killer. Plus I do play killer a lot more than survivor.

This isn't bait. I 4k with Nurse at 5 gens fairly often. If it's against purple-green ranks, this happens like 40% of the time. If it's against red ranks, I get the occassional 4k slug but not at 5 gens. Here are some screenshots I took during week 1 of crossplay as proof. If all 4 players are down and there is no Unbreakable, there is no reason to force me to stay any longer. The game is over. Go next.

Wow, so you actually just play like a scumbag for literally the dumbest reason ever. There is just no way that in every game survivors manage to jump of the hook by themselves. I have been playing this game since 2017 and I have literally jumped only 2 TIMES of the hook without luck offerings or Deliverance. Like this is a whole new level of absolute stupidity in this forum. You play like the biggest douche because of a RNG based mechanic that 90% of the time doesn't even help. Please get off this game and never touch it again. Or maybe actually play survivor just to learn how random the Take a chance of the hook really is before dumping your ignorance among us.

I'm not giving up on cross play tho just gonna adapt I guess

Respecting it is the counter yes, and if you can bait it out which is not often the case it also works well with countering it.
If a survivor doesn't know how the map is build up and starts walking large distances to far away loops that you could get a free hit its not on the perk side but on the player side. The way to respect DH is just not swinging when you could swing at them. And when you can swing you will also not be at a loop or something but instead in a deadzone. And if a survivor just walks to one its his own fault.
"I guess try putting it in grass" Survivors are not gonna walk through grass against a trapper. Even the I guess just shows you don't even know what to do. Why do you try denying that it doesn't counter trapper when you know it does?
Same for Huntress if a survivor just uses DH into a deadzone its their own fault. It just counters her ability since you can just DH when she throws a hatchet at you. No counter what so ever.
I have no argument, this is the first post you actually said something not completely braindead and toxic things. And if my arguments are so bad than how do you explain why you have been wrong until now in every point? Which arguments are bad? You cant even argue against trapper getting countered by DH and just say weird things like "I guess" or "try make them use DH before they reach the trap". Just a little fun fact if you want them to use DH you will have to get close to them, and you cant just start walking faster as a killer to reach them just saying mate.
"Saying DH is OP is absured on so many levels" Only thing you said until now is, "iT's NoT sItUaTiOnAl YoU cAn AlWaYs BaIt" "uhhh I gUeSs MaKe ThEm UsE dH eArLiEr". You basically still have no right argument against it until now. "I don't believe for a second you actually play survivor" How do you want to know that? Instead of bringing a good point you just guess something you cant know. I do play survivor and killer booth actively, a little more killer than survivor. I even stopped using DH myself as a survivor because it just felt like a crutch for me.
A few months ago I would've said DH was really strong just like now but it can stay the way it is. Since the ruin nerf playing killer is just most of the time really sweaty with a normal killer unless your survivors are complete babys. Gens go really fast and the killer needs all time he has to presure survivors and stop gens. If you usually need 30 - 50 seconds to end a chase instead of 10 seconds. Not because your survivors are playing better than you, but because they all have DH and press E. If it would take at least some skill but no not even that, if something is really strong it should also take more skill than things that are not as strong. For example that's why Nurse is fine but Spirit isn't even tho Nurse is stronger. If they would make changes that would just make DH harder to use it would already be fine, doesn't even have to get big nerfs.
"Keep living in your bubble where DH is OP" and as always no argument, just a lot of trash talk.
Btw I never fall for DH, if I got the chance to respect it I will always do it. And again you are saying some random things that you don't even know instead of bringing a good argument. "Your a horrible killer GIT GUD" and the same thing again.
Incase you should respond what I think you will I will not argue with you anymore. You have no points and you are just trash talking the entire game instead of giving some normal points like what you should do in a discussion. No need to argue anymore.
Damn, talk about stubbornness, Huntress doesn't get affected by DH that much cause if you throw a hatchet the recovery is pretty quick. With the trapper situation I just told you what I mostly due, in chases a lot of people don't pay attention to their surrondings and before they know it they stepped on a sneaky trap that is somewhat hidden and not saying please step on me, or you can just trap vaults which are harder to evade if put correctly.
"I have no argument, this is the first post you actually said something not completely braindead and toxic things. And if my arguments are so bad than how do you explain why you have been wrong until now in every point?" " You basically still have no right argument against it until now" "as always no argument, just a lot of trash talk."Well, I just saw it as a waste of time and also I did actually counter some of your more decent arguments with my response to Bootie in this thread. Someone may have missed it :). I just took the slightly trash talk version of me against you reading most of your replies, you seemed like an ignorant and I still do honestly.
Btw I never fall for DH": Ok now this is just bullshit, you have been bitching and even replying back to everybody who says is not OP so I don't believe you there.
And yes even reading all your "arguments" I still think saying DH is OP is laughably absurd. There is simply no way ALL survivors can reach safe pallets or jungle gyms in at every single loop (unless it's Badham I guess XD") , Like I told Bootie earlier, DH is only as good as the survivor who uses it. If a new player uses it he won't use efficiently a lot of the times and the perks is also very situational to the map. Like for god sakes there are other 3 survivors who also get chased they are bound to waste or use good pallets. They won't avaible for later. That is a huge flaw with one of your arguments you make it seem like every single map has like 100 pallets or an infinite amount of pallets to use (again badham is the only one I can view where DH can be really strong.
Can it be used amazingly? Certainly but just because it can be strong at certain maps and situations doesn't make the perfect OP.
Is it brain dead? Absolutely not, if a new player uses it I doubt your gonna see him use it effectively.
So yeah. Have fun reading

Damn talk about stubborn, In my case the trapper situation happens rarely, mainly cause I don't put it in spots where it's saying I am here please step on me. If you put a trap on top of a clearly visible pallet and they use DH is more of your fault then than survivor abusing an OP PeRk. I just mention what I mostly do cause trust me when I say sometimes in chases people are not paying attention to their surroundings. Huntress doesn't get affected by DH at all by throwing hatchets cause her recovery is very quick.
"I have no argument, this is the first post you actually said something not completely braindead and toxic things. And if my arguments are so bad than how do you explain why you have been wrong until now in every point?" Well somebody didn't read my response to Bootie, I actually did but clearly you didn't read it and trying to talk to a stubborn person like you is mostly a waste of time so I just poked fun and ran cause I never really take anything serious in this game or the forums because of dumb threads like this.
I mean, I always find DH easy to bait cause I know exactly what people are gonna do. dependeing on the killer I am I even sometimes eat the pallet on purpose cause that way I wasted a pallet and DH for moment for some future looping. "You basically still have no right argument against it until now". Again yes I did just not towards you cause you were to stubborn to even comprehend what other were already telling you. I simply pictured as an ignorant and I still kinda do.
The gen thing is an issue yes, but doesn't really combine at all with DH. I personally prefer playing killer cause I hate having idiots as teammates even though I am red rank I still get potatoes as my team.
"Btw I never fall for DH": Uhu, yeah I don't believe you there, all your previous comments are just you bitching about DH for, situational reasons.
And yes saying DH is OP is laughably absurd cause there is no way you'll 100% of the time get to use DH in great loops or areas in the first place. There are three other survivors that can also get chased in the game and they may waste the greatest pallets in the maps before your precious overpowered DH can "abuse them". Like I told bootsie, yes DH CAN be good, but only if the survivor is good with it, or if the killer is just clueless or new to the game .

If it's used to reach a window/pallet it's 100% reliable ans works as a second chance in loops.
There are cases were it's just uncounterable and the killer is like: "I guess i got outplayed by a perk."
The reason people use stacked second chances like DH, DS, BT and UB are those cases were the killer can't do crap, regardless of the survivors skill.
I changed to SB as surv, because i noticed that it's better, but you need to be actually some what good to get proper use out of it.
Ah #########, I thought you were Opex cause you had the same Nurse pic but yeah, your description on how DH can be strong makes sense. Unlike our homeboy Opex here that apparently only plays in maps with infinite levels of pallets. But it still doesn't make the perk even close from being OP.

DH gives you 3 second chances per game. The only way to counter it is by respecting it, which is really situational. Most of the time the killer cant respect it because the survivor is gonna use it for distance to reach a pallet or window. There is no way to counter that and it takes no skill for the survivor its just pressing one button. And that 3 times per game, even more often if the kilelr gives up a chase because they are wasting too much time because of DH.
DH also counters exactly 50% of all killer abilitys with no counterplay to it (exeption Deathslinger).
What are you gonna do as trapper when a survivor DH through your trap?*
What are you gonna do if you throw a hatchet at them and they just use DH?
That goes for 10 killers, 50% of all. The killer just plays better and uses his ability right, and the survivor just gets a second chance with no counterplay to it even tho the killer played better. And the only thing the survivor had to do was press one single button.
And now please tell me why DH is fine the way it is, instead of just saying some braindead ######### mister survivor main. Please just give me a good argument why DH should stay the way it is and why it is balanced. :)
Respecting it is basically the counter, the boost it gives you is so small that if you don't attack and bait it out you reach it in 1 second. How the ######### respecting it situational, unless your on Badham, Lery or The game is literally very hard to all the times find good loops cause there are three other survivors to chase around the map. For the trappers trap, I guess try to put it in areas that are covered by grass, most maps have pallets and even vaults close to them, yes it's annoying that they jump over the trap but you can attempt to make the survivor use it before reaching the trap. The Huntress is barely affected by DH, if he is on a dead zone just throw another one, you have 5 of them. It's funny your saying I have no argument when your arguments themselves are so weak. Saying DH is OP is absurd on so many levels and I don't believe for a second that you actually play survivor or constantly play Against ######### killers . DH is fine the way it is, I explained it to NurseBootie, you can read it and maybe understand what I mean. If you don't, than keep living in your bubble where apparently DH is entirely uncounterable. And honestly if you fall for DH more than 1 time by the same survivor in every game than honestly your a horrible killer and you need to GIT GUD.

I'm just braindead af i know. How do i just NOT know how to counter DH for distance as trapper, so cringe honestly. /s
Like many has said. You just make the perk much more strong than it actually is. Dead Hard is incredibly easy to bait out, only killers I can maybe think on top of my head that can MAYBE suffer a lot with DH is Nurse due to her fatigues state and what not. Plus dead hard usually doesn't work most of the times, I have hit countless people the second the DH is over or even right before it actually starts. It's incredibly unreliable at this current state of the game. ONCE you know a person has DH there is almost no excuse to fall for it again. The only way it can be somewhat useful is to use it to reach a pallet or vault, and it can definitely sting a bit if somebody actually uses it correctly but just because a survivor has DH doesn't mean he will get a "FrEe EsCApE bY PrEssInG E". I have fallen for it at times but usually just in first chases, cause I simply try to lead the survivor to either waste their DH on a loop which is possible cause most of the times people will want to use DH to extend a chase on said pallet instead of using the pallet. Dead Hard is only as good as the survivors who uses it is and obviously the area where you use it. It's quite cringe to see many killer mains cry over perks that aren't even that good. I am aware you said you play on both sides, but most survivors know that DH can be truly unreliable.

Unpopular opinion here, but i agree with op. DH extends chases for free.
Yeah, only if your braindead

If your the last living survivor and your bleeding out the killer has indeed earned their sacrifice of you assuming they can find you. Taking away the period to find you is just cheap.
They literally just told you why that mind set doesn’t make sense. Just because a survivor manages to do all gens OR open an exit gate doesn’t mean they have 100% guaranteed to escape. Taking the game for hostage for a ######### design death phase is what I would call taking the game for hostage and “cheap”
-
Not sure if this ironic or not, but not all SWF plays incredibly sweaty or just for the intention to piss the killer off. Also not all all of them have great survivors.
-
If you have Ash with Ashy Slashy puppet you can equip a key and it's barely noticeable XD. I did with him and the second time I did it with Bill with the perk Left Behind. You just have to play very stealthy and try to avoid the killer at all times. Use any notification perk, Alert or Spine Chill are the best for this I believe. Try to also throw in add ons for maps you know where they could possibly spawn, Badham Preschool, Auto haven Wreckers and The Game are decent examples of maps with braindead hatch spawns.
-
She is still playable but a lot of her add ons are terrible and the bugs can be absolutely game breaking at times. She feels balanced but at the same time entirely broken since her power recently is very inconsistent. I wish the old add ons came back but without the 5 omega blink nurse.
-
I play on console currently on rank 4 on survivor and there is actually plenty of variety, and ever since the Ruin nerf theres actually variety in perks to which is such a huge relief XD. Now it's mostly BBQ and Chili or Corrupt Intervention with any other two random perks. I think the slight problem right now is playing as killer. All red ranks are mostly running the same perks. Dead Hard (which I am entirely immune to it. So easy to bait out) DS (unlike many others, I don't have much of a problem with it....yet) and Adrenaline with usually One or even 2 freaking keys in the match. It's fun to absolutely destroy them but it requires a lot of concentration to truly screw their game plan up and a map that doesn't have endless jungle gyms.

DS + Head On is pretty annoying too, but at least it can be once a game.
My definition of a counter: There is a way for a person (survivor or killer) to deactivate or mitigate a perk/mechanic. There is no way to stop unbreakable from being a possibility. There is no way to really stop adrenaline from helping survivors unless they have NOED or an instadown ability. Pair DS with Second Wind and you have a dangerous situation that isnt easy to counter.
@SpaceCoconut tries to be objective but at least admits when he doesn't know something. That's better than most people. But it does explain why second chance perks for survivors are stronger than they are for killer.
Many survivor perks cannot be countered by the killer, and most can't be predicted by the killer. Such as perks like Empathy, Better Together, Kindred, Aftercare, or Bond. These perks allow survivors to work more efficiently but don't let the killer know (I wouldn't call these perks uncounterable, just unpredictable).
Id argue that old DS had a counter while this one doesn't: Dribbling. I became very good at it.
With your own definition I think Unbreakable belongs more on the unpredictable category and not uncounterable. But I do understand that when it works it can be SUPER STRONG, but if you don’t really slug for that much then the perk is entirely wasted. If it was straight up uncounterable than they would just get there ass up every game.
I remember this one time I was dribbling a survivors who I knew had pre-nerf DS, mid dribbling a Meg ninja blinded me and managed to get the save. I just wanted to throw the controller through the window. Ever since the rework, I have been hit with it about three times. Two times cause I tunneled close to the endgame and one time because I added to much pressure. So it has helped me but to each their own.
Plus now it’s much more counterable since it feels that it activates cause of your way of playing the game and not because they just want to. Sure you could dribble them but It could create a huge problem if some smart ass decided to blind you mid- dribble.

I do agree with you that certain perks are unpredictable. For your own definition I think Unbreakable belongs more on the unpredictable tier and not the uncountarable. I never take the chance of slugging for to much time just in case a sneaky Unbreakable is on play.Ever since the change I’ve been hit with DS like 3 times while the pre-nerf basically every game so it have been very helpful for me so to each their own on that regard.
One time I was dribbling a survivor I knew had pre-nerf DS, third time I did it a Meg ninja blinded me and I literally just wanted to throw my controller through the window 😂.
No grudge hold against Space Coconut. He just sometimes comes off as annoying and whiny when trying to explain certain stuff. In the second chance video for example he just sounds like he doesn’t how to counter them at all. And his gameplay with the trapper was pretty painful to watch. Surprising he managed to get the 4K.

Notifications of the Killer’s positioning that are unaffected by blindness, stealth or oblivious. And no cooldown.
On top of a +6% boost on performing actions in clutch scenarios.
Spine Chill is one of the only perks in the game that always gets consistent value in every trial. There’s really no reason not to squeeze it into any generalist build on Survivor
Never really liked it that much, it's fine against stealth killers but against every other killer just seems completely pointless for me.

I would love to talk about how fun this game can be, really. I don't like complaining (as a legion main though, that seems to be my lot in life).
I wouldn't complain about DS if it just wasn't so easy to abuse. It's basically a free 60 second period of not being hooked again. It's simply too versatile... for an anti tunnel perk. It doesn't do its job properly at that, since it gives no incentive to go for another who could have it, but the weak person who you know no longer has it.
BT is brainless as it is now. Oh, run in, and get the save while the killer is by you. Great! Now they are able to run at the killer for 15 seconds without worry, and if the killer waits it out, they can use DS, because who doesn't run it?
Adrenaline is annoying, but seeing everyone gain a health state for no reason is really disheartening, since there is no way to counter that. It just happens, regardless of what the killer does. NOED is the killer equivalent, but it can be preemptively stopped.
These perks are simply not balanced in use at higher level play. They overshadow every other possible perk in the game in sheer power.
The main issue, I suppose, is that killer perks that are strong can be circumvented, while survivor ones cannot... at least not by normal means. Adrenalines counter is NOED. Unbreakable has no counter. DS has no counter except leave them alone or risk the stun. Deliverance can't be predicted, BT has no counter except for something like DS, ignore or suffer the consequences...
@SpaceCoconuts vid on this is pretty good, as to why survivor second chance perks are so strong.
All second chance perks have counters. The ONLY combination I can think of that is braindead is DS combined with Unbreakable. But then again you can just not tunnel or if you obliged them to use one this perks they just play with 3 rest of the game. Also the hell you mean Unbreakable has no counter. Just don’t slug at all. That is such a Situational perk it’s kinda funny killer mains are crying so much about it. Well, I shouldn’t be surprised if you used Space Coconut incredibly flawed second chance perk videos. I enjoy his videos but sometimes his bias towards killers annoys the absolute ######### out of me, especially when he said the DC ban system is “good”.
Adrenaline gives you a free health state for doing all five gens. You know The survivors objective. It doesn’t give them a health state for “nothing”. Is it annoying? Yes. But it won’t always work throughout a particular chase and the survivor won’t always survive the game just because of it.
BT is pretty strong for sure especially endgame. What I do is always chase the survivor who unhooked him in my face just so I don’t risk activating it. I have gotten at least one final extra kill by doing this even in the endgame. You just have to hope they are far away from the gates.
In terms of DS, it can only be strong if more than Two survivors have it. Though I will definitely appreciate if they change it for only one survivors being able to have it activated at a time: Like maybe the DS timer will immediately reach zero if a second survivor is unhooked. That would definitely make it much less abusable. Though this DS is a blessing compared to pre nerf DS. I still have nightmares about survivors jumping of my shoulder just because they want to. This DS is much more manageable or at least I thought so until I enter the forums and seeing daily complains about it XD. It’s quite interesting.

Nice bait.
Its 60 seconds to a killer. From the killers perspetive this in a very long time. Enough time for two gens to pop. This is how long that is.
Most of the time i have hooked somebody else in that time so tell me why you should still have the DS in this case? I did not tunnel you and you healed and are back on gens so why should you still have use of it?
DS is broken at the moment. And it is being abused.
The only way DS feels useful now it's in the endgame or if the whole team has it (which for me it's rare). Is it abusable? definitely but is much more counterable now than pre-nerf DS. That ######### to this day gives me nightmares XD.
I agree that the devs should make the change on only one person able to have it Or maybe make the timer go out much faster when another survivor goes on hook. DS is FAR away from being broken compared to the old version.

Actually, it was a bad advice, so no logic was involved. If you see a surv hopping into a locker, you should take it, because otherwise it's a wasted time and even bigger lose of momentum. I would even advice to make that surv a priority target from now on because it's guaranteed no DS. Except when there is another surv in about 5 seconds of chase time from you, what usually never a case anyway.
The higher ranks go the less it's killers choice to go for unhooked survivors. It's usually because there is nobody else to go after or because surv on purpose forces killers attention on them, so basically killer have to take that DS from them (if slug is not an option, what locker tech does) and try to capitalize on that (tunnel down the person DSed).
If you know the survivor has been recently unhooked why would you take him out of the locker? How do you lose momentum when going after somebody you know doesn't have DS? You make no sense whatsoever. If you did open the locker but didn't knew it was the unhooked person than that was a simple mistake done by you. In the bright side that survivor now only has 3 perks.

I used to be red rank killer before.
I was stop playing after ruin removed.
and i came back now for the new killer.
But i don't want to play with red rank survivors without old ruin.
At least before i find a way to stop 2 gens pop when i get my first hook.
My heart is not strong enough to afford the stress of that.
But i keep pair with high rank player when i still stay in green rank.
Which is stress as hell and is Literally why i was quit.
And imagine if i am a new player who just buy the game.
It 100% can not be a fun Experience.
You simply need to adapt, use better perks and learn how to pressure survivors. There are still countless perks that can stop survivors from fully out gen-rushing you, difference is the killer needs to work for it. It feels much more refreshing to win a game because you maxed out the tokens for Huntress Lullaby or Dying Light. Ruin was never really that good against competent survivors. It could annoy them but not much, usually ruin gets found in the first 3 minutes of the game anyway. Against bad survivors it basically made the game go in autopilot mode. I admit I sometimes lose here and there but you can't win all games. Just don't let it go to your head.
