I'm already someone who runs hyperfocus/stakeout to make soloQ a little easier.
I added it onto my build, and 3 survivors getting hooked shaved 18% off a gen for basically nothing. That's NOT good perk design. This would be like if killer had a perk that added, say, 10 charges to every gen for each completed gen.
Most of my matches I'm the only one running it, too. Imagine if all 4 run it. Actually, I don't need to, there's plenty of videos showcasing it. -

Yea, I don't get how survivors defend this with how much they complain about tunneling. A tunneling killer is much less likely to have a problem with this perk. So you want killers to tunnel, or you want killers to play by the survivor rulebook and spread out hooks? It's not rocket science.
I have to agree.
Sure, people already tunnel for no reason, but perk design like this only PUNISH those of us who don't tunnel. Where's the logic? -
I also tend to spread hooks.
I no longer play low tier killers after this patch. There's no point. -
The only time I've lost running this with hyperfocus and stake out is when my teammates give up due to a killer they didn't want

Just wait until all 4 survivors start running it
People said this years ago about hyper focus, and we still aren't seeing it.
In this fictional scenario with all 4 survivors both being hooked while also working on the same gen, where is the killer exactly?
I'm the person running hyperfocus/stakeout.
I added this perk to that combo.
It's not healthy. -
@Dinadin said:
Ah, thats why its hardly used at all right now. Why do killer players always doom posting on at least one perk every update?
Just wait until all 4 survivors start running it in a general sense. Why bother making a setup when all 4 survivors can contribute to 18 reduced charges per hook on any given gen?

Project Moon.
I mean, if we can't have SCP, why not the next best thing? -

It shows tier lists are inaccurate. Some killers are simply easier to play. Survivors don't have time for all the secondary objectives some killers require.
Not quite. Players definitely have time to handle Sadako's tapes. Doing it effectively is an entire different matter based on knowledge and skill. When to grab a tape, when to put away tapes, where to deny a teleport, etc etc. Players who are actively denying TV's tend to be the matches I have a rougher time on, since I have to rely on loop mindgames near entirely if survivors are playing correctly.
-
I actually had the pleasure of using my P100 Sadako on some friends in a friendly discord match with a map of my choosing, with the only rules being no tunneling, and no kills until 2 gens are popped. Only one friend in the survivors had more hours than I did.
I was at 8 hooks before a gen popped. And two of them had max stacks, and anyone who didn't had Yoichi's fishing net afflicted on them.
It's not surprising to me that low MMR players don't know how to manage her well.
(Side note, I brought insidious to be funny.) -
I remember when they asked what game modes we'd be interested in, and I wanted 5v5 for this reason.
Sure, it'll only breed toxicity that 'my killer didn't do as well' and such, but it'd at least shine a lens on balancing for both sides and for killers across the board. -

I still like scout.
Aura reading on killers for others and remaking god pallets will always be strong for the overall team. -
I'm going to have to go against the downvoters here, I like facing Oni in 2v8. A good Oni will always impress me more than any other killer.
I've survived plenty of matches against them, and lost against good ones. Never felt unfair to me. Only survivors who are in bad positions and not using their resources, or not staying aware if the Oni is running undetectable. -

The survey has personalized questions based on how you answer. I got to answer questions from a Killer's perspective for my main Killers, for example, and not from the Survivor perspective.
I was going to say, I chose the equally option since I do play both sides often and it gave me strictly killer options, oddly enough.
-
As Mandy said, it's important to have both sides say something so everyone gets a bigger picture. Can't have bias weighing us down if we all want balance.

I'm wondering if it's the spawn changes with have contributed to it? Since we spawn much further from survivors now, but they spawn together
This may be the culprit. I've noticed my Sadako games getting far more difficult. Doesn't help people are bringing anti-slug builds (the pickup ones with endurance) to go down under pallets with a pal nearby for the mid-endgame more and more often.
Though, I do remember survivors being split meant gen pressure was difficult, this just makes one or two gens fly faster since they can stack it and return to it if the killer commits to anyone in chase. Not sure what the solution to that is, if any. -

I'm not really having an issue with people holding down W, however, I will say I am having a major issue with Generators being completed WAY too fast. Its quite boring to deal with every match.
I just went against a team with no toolboxes and no gen repair aside ONE Resiliance and they did gens faster than a full toolbox team on coal tower. Something is up.

#3 is very interesting. If the grimoire didnt had a theme of divine i would have definitely picked it.
I do hope they keep that design because they were cooking something.
I remember showing a friend who doesn't play the game these designs and when he saw #3 he asked, "Isn't this already in the game? The one who can have a horse head?"
-
I'm actually kinda content with the #1 design being picked, and I do hope #2 is a legendary skin at some point.
The only thing I can say about #3 losing, is the fact it would have been REALLY funny if it won and was dubbed 'Andross' by the community. -
I've seen some complaints about his power, but the way I see it, this is a fair version of Nurse to me. At least, until I find out he has some insane tech or something.
Breaks the rules, requires accuracy and predictive shots, needs to hit more to actually do damage, traversal is good with a fair cooldown, plenty of warning for the survivor when against him, and a fair counterplay.
I'm content. -
Regardless of anything, Vecna 2.0's power is the closest I'm getting to feeling like SCP-106 sans the pocket dimension and it makes me happy.
-
All Lights Out needed was killer instinct and scream notifications removed. And even then, maybe limit them to a range much like how BBQ and Chili works, where notifications are only visible outside a specific range.

Man, where are all these slugging killers at, as a gamer with Tenacity addiction I strive to play vs slugging killers and they are never there
One of the unwritten rules of this game is when you make a build to counter something, it never happens.
I get slugged 5 games in a row, bring anti-slug, get tunneled.
Get tunneled, bring anti-tunnel, killer spreads pressure
Bring gen repairs/healing, get slugged
Rinse and repeat. Not complaining btw, it's kinda hilarious. -
The lack of considerable shard progression in a pay to play game.
-
After 2.8k hours, I find fun in mixing perk+addon/item loadouts to try different things, even if they don't do well.
I also want to learn more killers. My mains are Sadako, Pyramid Head, Deathslinger, Unknown and Dracula, but I've been practicing with Artist, Spirit, Twins and occasionally Pig and Billy to try and expand my skillset. I also want to do better as survivor, going against meta builds and experimenting. -
Trapper, Hag and it's honestly a tie between Skull Merchant and Ghostface to me.
-
Houndmaster is one of those killers I have little counterplay knowledge against because of bugs like this, so I hope she gets fixed at some point so I can learn better lol.
I should also play her sometime, bugs or no bugs. -
Makes me question why they drew the line here when it comes to hard caps on anything.
Heck, even DS could be changed to be automatic so pickup couldn't have a cap, but they still capped it anyway. -
I'm happy with em as much as I'm happy with someone trying for the win.
The only ones I don't care for are those doctor bots that would just shock a corner, move, shock, etc.
Heck, during this event I'll swap from Sadako playing normal to Wraith doing driveby snowball fights. Players are still as mixed about both as usual. -
As much as I disagree with these choices, because some of these addons aren't really that bad, I encourage disabling Iridescent Tape on Sadako.
Not because it's broken, oh goodness no, because it's useless and actively makes Sadako worse. -
None
I don't let builds sway me and I try to adapt to whatever anyone has to my best ability.
I also run builds people would probably dodge so idk if I can say much. -
I think it's okay as far as I can tell, but I haven't played every changed map so I can't be fully sure.
-
I try not to, to the best of my ability.
I'll only apply that kinda pressure if the survivors are applying equal amounts. For example; if 3-4 gens pop within 2-3 minutes, survivors attempting bodyblocks off hook, or it's endgame where all rules go out the window. Otherwise I try to spread hooks and make the match last longer for more BP.
I also try not to slug unless there's someone attempting a save nearby or I need to chase someone off a close by gen. -

Oh we wanna talk killrates now? How about the fact that even during old palled density killer still had 60% KR? Or do stats only matter when it benefits you?
That's the point of this discussion, we shouldn't have had pallets touched the way they were in the first place.
Pallets on specific maps needed adjusting, and some like Haddonfield needed more. We didn't need an increase or a decrease of so many the way BHVR did it. -
Sadako has been a lot of fun with a lot of close matches, regardless of win or lose.
Makes me really wonder about that suggestion people have about killers having pallet density tied to how hard they are to face. Would be tricky to implement but if I had to wager, they could tie it into the difficulty rankings each killer has and adjust from there. -
I've said it a few times, but I still believe the PTB client needs to be it's own separate thing under the Tools tab on steam for this reason. Give people 2 weeks to test things, maybe longer when it comes to changes like this.
I seriously think the PTB is underutilized by BHVR aside it being used to hype up new DLC, with the recent changes PTB being fine for testing the antitunnel/antislug until they made these drastic changes that weren't in it.
-
This may be the best thing to come out of all this.
-
Spot on. Any killer player worth their salt, main or not main, didn't want this outcome.

Idk why you had to say "but survivors do it too!!". Grass is green
The same reason you brought up a subset of killer mains in a small niche, it's the same thing. Both are problematic, killer or survivor main echo chambers.
-
@BorisDDAA said:
Tbf just take a look on youtube. I saw a video of someone reacting to the forum posts here and the comments are literally a cult of killer players. Survivor mains deserve this, they are brats, crybabies etc, meanwhile they were ripping their hairs out over ptb changes till a few days ago. Lmao
I'd like to remind you that survivors also have echo chambers in other places. It's not a new concept, it's the annoying Us VS Them mentality that's been a problem for a long time because one side of mains think the game should work different than the other mains believe.
I can't blame BHVR for making bad decisions based on what people say at any given time, but I can blame them for going through with said changes without proper feedback, and the pallets should have been in the PTB for this very reason. -
In my opinion the PTB needs to be a separate client that's utilized more for those who sign up for it and can be used for more than a week at a time for these changes, that was these changes are actually fully tested before applying it to the main game.

Killer mains are just louder and more outspoken about balance in general. This isn't even something anyone can deny. You can see it literally everywhere. If they are making balancing decisions based on polls from less than 500 people on the forums then that is just embarrassing. It shows how they have no conviction and no idea what they're doing. I'll put it another way. Would you accept killers being balanced the same way?
I kinda question this claim myself.
I watch and check the forums, youtube, twitch at times and reddit and it's a bit of an echo chamber depending on where you are. I see a majority of survivor bias on the reddit, it's kinda mixed here with a slight nudge toward killer or survivor depending on the patch with a few dedicated mains here or there, and content creators are VERY echo-chambered depending on the creator which made it hard to find unbiased sources.
That is just my lurking these places though, I could be wrong but I can't claim killer sided players are the majority. -
Oh boy another Us VS Them post.
Didn't we say the devs hate killer a few weeks ago, now it's they hate survivor?
I think the real answer is obvious: BHVR has no idea how to utilize feedback and goes too far with changes. We've seen it with perks on either side, we've seen it with killers, and we've seen it with maps. The fact we had TOO many pallets and now too few shows this isn't a bias decision, it's misunderstanding their game. -

Yeah this is some bull.
The pallet density changes were needed on some maps, but they gave it to every map. Now we are left with some of the most unsafe loops I have ever seen.
As killer this doesn't even look fun. I enjoy the whole 'mind game' part at pallets and loops, but I don't see any place where I need to do so.
Pretty much spot on with how I'm seeing this so far.
Who asked for this? If I recall most of us wanted a pallet reduction, not a pallet extinction. And why wasn't this tested in the PTB that's, you know, for testing? -
That's something I hope people get through their heads here. People in general don't want these changes, too many pallets or too little pallets both. Anyone who does is disingenuous.
I've seen the community, including content creators, ask for reasonable changes. Not scorched earth changes like they've been doing with the pallets. It's why I don't trust their talk with the PTB because as we can now see, this was NOT tested for and plenty on both sides would have had issues with these kinds of pallet changes.
That said, I'll play Sadako again at least. -
This is the real issue. Tired of people complaining about 'killers whining' and 'survivors whining' when the devs can't make changes that help both sides be as even as possible. In the end, it's the devs job to balance this correctly, not us.
-
BHVR can't help but go 150% percent in the wrong direction no matter which side it seems.
-
Because the community is so engrossed in the Us VS Them they have to blame the other side for any problem.
I mean, try having any opinion here and someone from one side will have a problem with what you say. Despite the fact that none of us have the real say in the end product. -
Tbh I don't understand any survivor stigma.
Survivor's haven't been unique since before sharable perks way back when. Maybe the player behind the Sable is just not a good player? Same with Leons, Dwights, Neas, etc etc
