  • Don't get me wrong, I like 2v8 and I actually play more survivor on it than I do killer (mainly for the queue times but mostly for the fun of it) but I do wonder how their proposed 5v5 would have gone. In case nobody was aware, way back before the first iterations of game modes, the survey had asked what we wanted, which is why we got 2v8, chaos shuffle and lights out. 5v5 was also an option, a

  • Before I get downvoted, this isn't a call for a nerf, more of a question than anything. So I've been thinking about Stake Out a lot, as someone who runs it a lot with Hyperfocus. When Fast Track changed, it made me think more that Stake Out really just makes good perks better or broken when it comes to gen skillchecks. It also makes Fogwise and Corrective Action more consistent as well, which i

  • This is a weird one for me. I'm mainly going to focus on 2v8 balance, and my views don't reflect the base 1v4, but I feel like survivors just have a LOT going for them. Between the increase in pallets, strong abilities, good gen spread to avoid any lockdowns (as far as I'm aware of at this moment) and the introduction of the torchbearer, they have a LOT to get escapes. That said, I don't mind

  • Hey all, gonna provide some feedback specifically on this part of the last Dev Stream. I want to echo what a lot of people have said before, since BHVR is taking steps toward this. We desperately need to bring new players in and help them learn better. My friend had her bf who has never played this before try it, who is also not a horror fan for the record, and his bigger issue wasn't the scare

  • I do think her head form lunge is too big and the auto-aim spit is lame, as well as not being able to share mushrooms, but that's about it as far as I can tell. The few times I faced this killer, greeding pallets seems to work wonders and when she's in head form, I just pre-throw pallets and she can't vault it fast enough for me to make it back around, and she can't break it without swapping ba

  • Seriously, this past week as shown the worst of all of us on either side. Personally, I thought some of the changes were too much, but wanted the patch to go through with the right adjustments to make killer less tedious to dance around the rules, while keeping the abusable aspects down that survivors would inevitably use since overall the changes would benefit soloQ. However, since BHVR has wa

  • Yes, another post about this. However, I want to carefully go through all this before jumping on the doom train. Go through the good, bad, and take into consideration what can be abused and what circumvents abuse. My playtime with both sides is about 45/55 with a lean toward killer, so keep that in mind. This is focused solely on the Slug/Tunnel changes and the introduction to Elusive.

  • Personally, I'm liking the Blight/Slinger combo. The bigger maps/player count make Blight feel a bit more balanced and slinger being able to lock down someone for a couple of seconds to get a rush in feels great when it works. Makes it tense to go against too.

  • Nothing beats void wraith+Insidious Unknown. The long range jumpscares I got in one match makes it all worth it.

  • As the title says, do we have perks that aren't meta that we enjoy, or at least like how they function even if they're considered weak? I myself like Game Afoot on killer for any sort of obsession-based builds I run. Whether it's for Furtive Chase or paired with Nemesis. On survivor, I have a firm belief that Bite the Bullet is massively underrated and has saved me and a teammate few times.

  • I wanna see if this is just a me thing or not real quick before saying it's a bug or not. I notice at times when I'm snapping out of it after full insanity, sometimes the bar will flash like my mouse isn't holding down M1. I've noticed this for a few patches now and thought perhaps my mouse was going out, but then I tested my mouse with a separate program and it does hold a constant M1 when h

  • Ever since the Nic Cage DLC I've wanted killer side to get stuff similarly funny while also having some value here or there. So here's some attempts. Hex: Betrayed Senses. A dull totem on the map becomes a Hex totem. While this Hex is active, all Dull Totems have the appearance of Hex Totems, and all Hex Totems have the appearance of Dull Totems. The fake Hex Totems take 5%/7%/9% longer to cl

  • I've suggested this in the past, and I've said this across many places. We all hate that we get stuck with SoloQ players not knowing a lot about the game, right? And clearly, the tutorial doesn't cover all the nuances this game has. Therefore, I suggest once again, the game needs a compilation of all killers, powers, power addons, perks, items, item addons, offerings and maybe even things like pe

  • Hear me out. Distortion has been to go-to for a lot of stealth plays, to the point it's getting nerfed for being too potent. I propose more perks should have the addition of hiding auras, in meaningful ways. For example: Perks that hide scratch marks also hide your aura for the duration. Examples being Dance With Me, Parental Guidance, Deception and Babysitter for examples. The only one I c

  • Hey all, this isn't a discussion done to death already right? Jokes aside, I wanted to throw out my own suggestions here and see if anyone agrees/want to add onto/debate these changes. Toolboxes In my own opinion, I always found it strange that commodious has always been the best toolbox for practically everything. I wanted to bring them more into line and remove the sabotage aspect. Befor

  • Hey all, I was sitting here doing some work and watching some dbd highlights and a thought occurred to me about flashlights, and I wanted to spitball real quick and see what a general consensus of this would be. What if instead of holding down the flashlight to waste charges, it only loses charges when you get a flashlight stun on the killer or on things like Nemesis zombies? Would this be too s

  • Like how we have Boons and Hexes, a subset of perks for killer to receive some kind of buff for going to the circle? And what would even be good ideas for going out of your way to do it?

  • To fully clarify, I've been exclusively playing this mode on both sides since it's release, so I've experienced the worst and best both sides have to offer and thought I'd this out. I will not count matches with BMing players, stalling killers, slugging matches, etc, this is purely directed at the modifier itself. Let's get survivor out of the way first, and save my killer opinions for later: S

  • I want you all to pick a perk considered weak (I know very small sample size) on killer or survivor and pitch them as extremely good. This can be done by themselves, as a combo with other perks, and counters to the opposing side's powers/perks/items. I want to see how creative you all get with this.

  • I threw myself onto the new map to see how bad the TV spawns would be, I assumed due to the nature of the map having a long vertical setup it would turn out with some odd spawns, but I did NOT expect this. I'm the kind of survivor who enjoys facing Sadako on RPD and The Game, for the record. I pretty much gave up and let the 4 others escape, because right next to killer shack was 2 TV's rought

  • Get a generator to 90% Wait until a teammate nearly finished Weaving Spiders Apply Wiretap to the generator When the generator is completed, the effects of Wiretap remain on the generator until the perk expires. This also works with Blast Mine, but for obvious reasons it can't be activated by the killer when the generator is finished but you still have to wait out the activation time to use

  • Testing a few matches, I ran it with Desperate Measures, Botony Knowledge and Bite The Bullet while using a key for aura reading to quickly heal, then rush over to a teammate to take a hit and then if the killer decides to keep going for their first target, I just run back to basement and heal back up quickly. That said, this really only works well when basement is in the center of the map or if

  • I'm not really going to contribute feedback to the power or anything, but I really need to emphasize that, as a stealth enjoyer, Unknown has some very fun opportunities and aspects from my testing. Granted this isn't specifically for gettings wins: The build I've been running the most is Mindbreaker, Dark Devotion, Unforseen and Insidious. Insidious is the most important one, specifically. "B

  • I just want to echo the sentiment that the teasers for this killer are really good. Leaning into the internet creepypasta aspect is doing wonders for it, especially that recent JP DBD Twitter video. Uncanny valley vibes where it obviously looks fake, but has a similar vibe as internet horror stuff. Good stuff, BHVR. I just hope the killer lives up to the hype.

  • Hey all, I've suggested this idea in a lot of posts but I want to make a discussion on it and suggest to BHVR directly of an idea I've had to help mitigate confusion on killer changes, and maybe even give players more knowledge against things they struggle with which I'll just call "The Observer's Compendium" for lack of a better lore tie-in. What this is, exactly, is a compilation of every kil

  • Before I begin, let me say my point of view is just the game mode: We're not going to talk about issues the base game already deals with (tunnel, camp, etc) We're not going to cover why Freddy can't be played And we're not going to gauge if this is killer/survivor sided This will be purely on the mode itself. To me, Lights Out is a hilarious and fun game mode, and I want to emphasize GAME

  • I'm mainly asking for perk synergies that haven't been talked about a lot, or at least ones we haven't seen talked about. Doesn't have to be super strong either, anything interesting. Both survivor and killer sides. I recently realized Nemesis paired with Game Afoot means you can force oblivious on your target for 60 seconds after they switch after an M1 hit, making mindgames easier in some case

  • I can't slay all the survivors without getting into a snowball fight instead and forgetting I'm a bloodthirsty killer. How can BHVR expect me to do my job when something so innocent and tempting to grab and throw constantly is present in the trials? This is psychological warfare and I won't stand for it. For real though this is the funniest addition I've experienced in this game.

  • Hey all, it's that time again with another Sadako change whether we want it or not on the horizon. I have some mixed opinions on the subject as well as concerns about whatever BHVR's plans are to revert back to how she originally played so I thought I'd compile it all together. This will be a long read, folks, due to needing to go over everything I can think of to get a full picture. Before I be

  • I'm not 100% saying to do this, for the record. I just thought of this suggestion and I didn't see anyone else put this idea forward so I thought I would and see what people's arguments are for or against this idea. My own thoughts on it: If the Obsession was the one who gets basekit unbreakable, it would make for some interesting dynamics I think. Defending the obsession would mean a lot more,

  • I went against a Wesker who apparently could harm survivors during the stun animation. Not talking about hitting before the pallet drops, I mean he's hit by the pallet, stunned, and attacks the survivor before the stun ends. He claimed he could also 180 tech the stun and get a hit, but afaik you can't do anything during stun and even enduring can't save you enough time to do this. He kept also s

  • Hey all, I was considering learning to do hook sabotages when I thought of these few ideas for hypothetical future survivor perks. Right now, sabotaging a hook removes it for a short time. However, sabotage can mean different things, and I think BHVR should consider a few more tools for survivors to mess with hooks. I also apologize in advance if someone else has suggested these, I haven't seen
