OP - no, no, no. You do not deserve 4K automatically. The hatch is in the game for a reason. If you don't want a survivor to get the hatch at the end, you have to find that survivor or lure them with slugging (which I don't advise).
Otherwise, what's the point of the hatch? If you got a 3K, that's good enough. You got a good amount of points and rank doesn't matter, so stop trying to get perfection by removing game mechanics.
No no no, you didn't read, If I want a 4k I'm slugging you cause I'm not giving you the chance to suicide on hook for the 4th guy to get a free hatch...
What do you prefer? Being slugged to death for 1+ minute or struggle on hook for aproximately 45 seconds without the chance to suicide unless the killer is camping you?

If I'm the third hooked and the match is over with I want to move on to the next game no be forced to sit there until the killer finds the forth.
Like others have said before killers aren't entitled to a 4k just like survivors aren't entitled to escape๐
LOGIC LEVEL 100, if you want to be able to suicide on hook to move to the next game but that would motivate killers to slug you instead of hooking you, which takes WAY MORE time for you to die slugged than struggling in second state to death, wouldn't that contradict your argument of wanting to move to the next game as fast as possible? I guess you want to stick to being slugged for the 4k and not hooked...

Yeah, it is based on my experience, just like I crystal clearly wrote. But pretty much every single killer I meet plays like that, and I played with a lot of different people. Also, while killers camp, tunnel, chase you forever, only attack if they have instadowns, slug, only play with easy killers like Spirit and PH, survivors have DS, DH, SWF and flashlights. You can clearly see who has the most obnoxious instruments at their disposal. All of the things killers can, and will do, will make a difference in the game. DS usually ends up in survivors getting caught again a few seconds later, and DH does not even work properly, lately. (If you think I should have added BT to the list, no, I shouldn't have. If you gave the survivor the ability to have BT active, it means you were either camping or close enough that you are now going to tunnel him). Once again, no, the killer hardly ever outsmarts anyone. And that is also because the game is made in such a way that killers have most perks doing the work for them, instead of them actually "outsmarting" someone. If you have Nurse's Calling, it finds healing survivors for you. BBQ does the same, in a different scenario. Ruin makes gens regress without you having to kick them. All the while you keep chasing the same guy forever and ever, favoured by something that shouldn't be a thing since when infinites were rightfully removed, Bloodlust. Now please, be clever and spare me the usual catchphrase that "I must be a survivor main who never played killer", or viceversa, 'cause that would mark the end of the discussion for me (anything along those lines also counts).
Am I missunderstanding? Are you saying survivor is harder than Killer? It's funny how I talked about a specific feature for a more specific situation and you went everywhere in the game programming, maybe this will clear the water:
If you can escape even when the killer got the chance to look for you while the 3rd hooked player was struggling (second state) by being stealth, yes, you outsmarted the killer (in this case the no hook suicide feature ONLY FOR THE 3RD SURVIVOR AND ALREADY WITH A 2K), but, if you got a hatch escape 5 seconds after the killer decided to hook the 3rd player when he could've slugged him to get the 4k and decided to be nice by hooking the 3rd surv, that's unfair and a cheap feature in the game. If you're not ok with this changes that would help BOTH ROLES (no 3rd survivor slugged helping survivors vs no insta suicide on hook to give hatch away helping the killer), I guess you like being slugged for the 4k, nothing to change here

What is the feature? Stealth? I swear you killers just want survivors to stand out in the open and give you guys free kills.
LOL, no, if your READ the post I mean a survivor getting a hatch escape out of a hook suicide, if you can escape even when the killer got the chance to look for you while the 3rd hooked player was struggling (second state) by being stealth, yes, you outsmarted the killer, if you got a hatch escape 5 seconds after the killer decided to hook the 3rd player when he could've slugged him to get the 4k and decided to be nice by hooking the 3rd surv, that's unfair and a cheap feature in the game. If you're not ok with this changes that would help both roles, I guess you like being slugged for the 4k, nothing to change here
-
READ THE POST! I didn't talk about suicide on 1st hook in any stage of the game, I'm only talking about suicide when you're one of the 2 people alive and get hooked, there's already a 2k in game in this scenario and this proposal is to let you survivors avoid being slugged, which actually helps the killer A LOT MORE cause slug death takes more time than struggle death.
Now, I'm gonna comment about the case you stated, which is OFF this post's topic. YES, and speaking AS KILLER, I think camping early game is a noob conduct, yes, I think the Devs should add a feature where early game (before 2 first gens pop) camping is punished by no kill hook bar moving down
-
@GamerGirlFeng said:
If a survivor is alive then they weren't outplayed. The rest of their team might be though.
"Slugging for the 4K is a strat."
Then hiding all game and not doing anything all game to avoid be caught is also a strat. Both are nasty.
I've seen so many killers essentially say;
"You were outplayed. I earned the 4K"
If I were outplayed then I wouldn't be alive.
In that case, you were alive not cause you outplayed the killer, but because of a bad thought feature that gave you an unfair chance to live.

@ObscurityDragon said:
If slugging is a startegy so is hook suicide to give out the hatch...
Cause ร lot of killers are gonna stay near the hook anyway cause you know there are only 3 possible ways to act for the survivors:
-take the risk and unhook
-search the hatch or hide to prepare
-do gens (if there is more then 1 it will most of the time not be worth it and its gonna give out your location to the killer)
Lets be honest if the game went well for survivors and you made a comeback, yes it feels cheap to get out with the hatch
BUT
if you destroyed them and they did max 2-3 gens...ill just consider it tryharding to get a 4k when a 3k was already good in my opinion
So, you like my idea but it should have some changes based on your arguments, how about no hook suicides if 3+ gens were repaired meaning the killer got a "comeback" getting a 2k and hooking the 3rd survivor, but yes to hook suicide if killer is camping hook or only 2 or less gens were repaired where the killer would be a "tryhard" in your perception? Is that better?

@Damarus said:
The thing is, most of the time, killers do NOT outplay survivors at all. They just keep chasing them forever, until they finally get them down because of Bloodlust. That is not outplaying, not at all. And trust me, in my experience, 90% of the playerbase does that, even more. And, as much as I like a 4k while playing killer, you people who always bring this point up forget (always) about two things:
1 - Being the last survivor alive does not mean you did nothing the whole game. You could have gotten way more points than the others and kept the killer busy for a long time.
2 - Nobody is entitled to a 4k EVERY SINGLE game. If one survivor did well, just accept it, try not to be toxic and even allow them to go, from time to time. Of course, the last survivor could have done nothing. I just had a match where I kept the killer busy, while also working on the last 2 gens while he was busy looking around, and the other 2 survivors were crouch camping near corners of the map. But you people tend to label everyone with the same brush. Survivors who escape through the hatch are not always worthless players. If anything, also because of their teammates, it means they had no other way of escaping, that match. Stop with this biased argument.
I can't geneaize, and I think you shouldn't do that either, you cannot state % of people acting specific ways without actual stats, you can talk about your experience, or even your friend's experience, but stating a 90% of database does something is way too radical.
Now, I completely disagree, if the killer managed to get a 2k and hook the 3rd one LIKE I CLEARLY STATED, the killer outsmarted the survivors...
-
Obviously, this wouldn't mess with slugging early game or against killers whose mechanics are based on slugging, like the Oni, so, unbreakable would be useful all game except in a 2v1 end game moment

That would actually be an AMAZING skin, he's an actual killer, in that movie, he killed my heart by not getting the girl and letting us all know looks matter more than the heart...
-
Werewolf, shadow demon, vampire, alien, Dr Jeckylls and Mr Hyde, Pinhead, It, Slender man, Tyrant, scarecrow... They had so many killers to pick... And they chose this one... I have to play as him before I have an offiial complaint though

I forgot four:
Pinhead
Candyman (I don't like this one but a lot of people do)
Jack the Ripper
It

Killer

I also feel discriminated if they keep the after and pre game chat pc exclusive.
Exactly my point, and end game chat doesn't affect actual gameplay experience, queue time actually affects how much time you wait to enter a match

Thanks for the response.
Option 2 would still allow people to choose to crossplay with PC if they want to. Im sure there are people on console who do not mind playing with PC. Thats why the second option is there for them.
There are legitimate concerns within the console community of only wanting to crossplay with other console players.
... as it is right now, if you want to play with other console platforms, you are automatically lumped in with the PC userbase as well. Changing the settings to what the OP is suggesting would address those concerns.
Again, that would discriminate PC players, even with the second option, the queue time would be "fixed" for ALL consoles, but PC would "lack" a part of the player database cause of those two options.
I would recomend waiting for stats of the crossplay. it's just my opinion, not facts, nor orders.
-
I mean... I get what you're saying but... That would discriminate PC players and the "fix" to queue times would only work for consoles... I think this was a feature added to bring the comunity together, not to split them. I know you're having a bad time, but remember this is DBD, and add to that fact the variable of "learning curve".
Lots of people are having way too different experiences, I see both sides everywhere "PC players are wrecking console players" vs "Console players are wrecking PC players". For example, I'm on the other side, I've been haviing easier games when going vs PC players (both roles)

I may sounded salty. I am a bit triggered because I play PC and PS4 and obviously there is not difference in my skill when I play.
I know many people who play dbd on all platforms and I think that if you are a good player it doesn't matter on which platform you are. For example If I play on PS4 I use my capture card and headphones so I don't really feel a difference at all...
I believe it's a more complex variable, it depends on your hability with specific gadgets, I have played on PC and I think shooters are EASY AH when using mouse and keybord and a controller actually gives me a challenge, other people feel the complete opposite, they say aiming with controller is the easiest way to play. Just wanted to share my experience and perception, didn't intend to trigger someone by it. It's actually great to know someone like you who feels no difference between console and PC

@ Antares2332 said:
Normal, I don't see much difference with the other platforms. Although sometimes I feel like console killers find it a bit difficult to make hits.
Honestly, i'm surprised that some people have very different comments about their experience with the other platforms.
This is exactly why I made this post, some PC players say they obliteerate console survs, some PC players say the exact opposite, just wanted to know the common perception, hope this helps

Your post sounded like you feel like a god in dbd and everybody not playing on Xbox is a noob. This is why I reacted like that.
As context: i play mainly surv on PC and my alt account is PS4 both r1. (~2k hrs) so I know what I am talking about survivor wise.
I haven't really noticed any difference. There seems to be good players on all platforms and noobs as well.
Nah, I'm not a god, I am a good player, but not a godlike Nurse main. I lack that kind of skill, and no, a good PC nurse is better than any console killer. I'm just sharing my experience, it doesn't mean all PC players are bots or noobs, I might just be lucky enough not to have faced a good PC SWF from rank 20 to 7 as killer

You should know by now that money trumps balance changes
Just my opinion but, wouldn't better killers in terms of power and overthrowing survivors make people buy more things for killer too? Damn, I mean, if Alien chapter actually gets here someday, it would be horriffic to play him if he's not at least a B tier, and the potential skins for Alien, OMG, they want money? why spend all the efforts on one role?
Here's an example, Legion has the BEST skins in the game out of every killer and survivor, and I'm not spending one cent on him until they rework him to B tier+

Well Iโd assume they will wait until all the killers are inline then adjust survivors accordingly, remember when they nerfed ruin? The game was in a horrid state. But then devs changed the game accordingly by putting in the map changed and now the early game start up mechanic. I know it SUCKS but killers just gotta deal with current game balance.
The problem with that is that the power role has always been the survivors.... In a survival horror game... And by power role I don't mean just winning, I mean making the KILLER have an awfull time, I'm really saying this as a survivor: Killers need more love than survivors, and they have needed it for a lot of time.

On the newer maps that's easier said then done to be fair.
So, there you go, you have the answer, the problem is maps, like it always have been in different ways, a small patch by changing a perk is not the answer to a bigger issue. MAPS NEED REWORKS.
-
@ggezbabykiller said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1424208#Comment_1424208
Devs want all killers to be inline with each other in terms of performance so all killers are viable
Viable for survivors to bully? Nice... Again, as a rank 1 killer and survivor, the only actual good killers in red ranks when used correctly were Billie, Spirit, Freddy, GF and Myers, I can scratch Billie from that list now...
Balance shouldn't be considered only for PC, only for grey to green ranks... Veterans and consoles matter you know?
Edit: Balance is way more complex than kill performance, there are way too many variables. If you, AS KILLER feel bullied, even when you're a GREAT killer, something is wrong, either the maps, or the specific killer. All survivors are skins, but not killers, they're all different in many ways, and making killer mains feel bad about using a specific killer it's just wrong

Skill ceiling on Billy was high ASF, this nerf is mostly lowering that. *Most* players won't feel it that much
I'll have to see it, on Xbox, most skilled Billies were really a challenge to go against, if, after they release this, this doesn't change, I'll come here and apologize, but, if it does affect gameplay a lot for consoles like it did to NURSE, I'll be back to rant about it.

Ahh another one not understanding what balancing means. Even those considered as blanced have issues. Thats the reality you can still ignore, or just accept.
Ahh, another one thinking that if you can bully the killer, he's balanced...
As a rank 1 surv and killer, he was balanced to play as and against, he was a good viable killer against who, if played correctly, you had to do your best as survivor, no room for bullying or fooling around...

Uhmm.. You realize curving is braindead easy on console, don't you?
Yes, I'm on Xbox btw... The problem here, if you actually read my post, is that A and B tier killers are fine as they are, we don't need all killers to be C tier... As a rank 1 surv and killer, I do not want to be able to bully every killer I face, do you?

I mean, console players can't experience Q and E billy, which was what made him very strong. It was really fun, but as I always said, Billy (along with Freddy, Doc, maybe plague) was the noob destroyer, the most hated killer. It was obvious they would have nerf him.
The problem with that is that, when they change something to help PC players they mess horribly with console experience, take nurse as an example, she was already a hard killer to use in console, and after the nerf... well... need I say more...?
-
@LordRegal said:

They thought he was performing well, were happy with his balance, and thought he had ample counterplay so that the more skilled player generally won the 1v1. So clearly he needed multiple levels of nerfs.
Same argument I gave... He was an A tier... So, survs want all killers to be C tier for all platforms? As a rank 1 surv, no, I do not want to be able to bully every killer I face...
-
@YaiPa said:
let's remember that devs were happy on how billy was performing, ._.
In my experiecne, Xbox, he was fun to play as and against... They actually said the same if I remember correctly... This change came just cause survs were complaining about being face camped by BAD BILLIE USERS... And that's not common... at least not for me... I am non sided red ranks both sides in case anyone wondered.
