Killers lowering their MMR by doing that are actually irritating. Lowering MMR is what they want and they get it for just leaving their game on and providing a lackluster game experience to survivors. Then, when they finally wake up from their slumber, they will steamroll new players into quitting the game for their own entertainment.
Yeah its beyond broken. How hard would it be to look at accounts with. More than 300 hours and flag when they have games where they don't get hits?

There is already a mechanic where completely AFK Killers will be kicked from a match after 3-5 minutes or so. Unless that feature is currently bugged, or the Killers are not entirely AFK, the mechanic should be kicking AFK Killers and giving them a DC Penalty.
Its not, they are characters like dr, hillbilly, or blight set up on clickers usually with slowdown perks like storm and deadlock. Waste of time. They all have exclusive cosmetics and high level acounts also.

Nearly so bad I'd ask for a refund because of how BAD you made her.
-
Each one of these is worse than something already in the game.

Leave her alone

I think vs certain killers the bots are a lot better or worse.
Vs alien? Its basically a free kill, they can't juke tails at all.
Vs m1 killers? Headache inducing

Hes faster than you, with bloodlust... It's literally the only thing you can do to avoid being killed my guy.
Myers has a lot of issues, but whilstsoever he has this 1 shot kill ability, it is very hard to buff him.
Don't let him get to tier III? Take sprint burst? Take a flashlight for stun? Any of the other counterplay options?

Infinite Tier 3 is 100% bs that should be patched ASAP.
Infinite tier III takes the whole game to get , its not a serious strategy

It's not really an exploit. Tombstone would be beyond broken addon without this counterplay.
It takes him forever to get to tier III, and Myers is no where near broken. By the time he is at tier III most other killers have someone dead on hook unless its going really badly for them.
-
@Crowman said:
The tombstone addons don't need this buff
The whole point is to run, and if he catches you your dead. This is a cheap, zero skill exploit.

Lots of people expect one gen from a 3gen cluster to be moved elsewhere randomly, and this is by far the easiest option to deal with 3 gens issue. The DbD devs have shown us in the past that they love the easiest way!
However, the devs could fix most 3 gens issues during map creation:
- Populate all parts of maps with gens (how there is NEVER a gens behind the big boat on swamp? Same behind the saloon? Very rare behind the big house on swamp-pantry, ...)
- Respawn the gens during loading if too much gens are located on the same side or too close to each other (e.g. 4 or even 5 gens on the main building side from Azarov in 2023, so no check about gen locations is done during the loading procedure for sure)
Another quick fix, so we can avoid the dynamic respawn of gen during the game itself: a given gen cannot be regressed twice with perks, so no more painres into pop into another pop later!
- prevent a lot the 3gen cluster sitting by the killer from the start (hello SM, hag and knight!)
- do not punish killer (or reward survivors) if a 3gen cluster was created at the end ; hypothetical fix about moving gens is not needed anymore, and gens stay in place (even if they are very close)
So many options, but I expect the devs to prioritize the easiest fix (respawn of a gen far away from other gens in a similar way than PHead cage, lol)
This would be absurd, survivors can fix a gen very quickly with minimal coordination, and not 1 of the three gen killers is S tier, let alone A tier by most reckonings
-
I play sm, she's way stronger now, she injures, gives broken, and is stealthing 80% of the time if you now what your doing.
-
Very good except pc vs console hardware issues.

I keep my mmr reasonable by playing troll builds. Knockout is good for this. 3 people maybe get away, but boi is it tricky

This is the most used perk. It's not just a noob info perk. Its usage is extremely high in high mmr matches, to the point where most survivors have it. Stats from a few months ago show it was the most popular perk (all MMR).

The strength of the perk is being able to avoid dead zones and immediately understand the layout of a tile. Being able to avoid dead zones is a very strong effect since entering a dead zone is effectively a guaranteed fast hit. For that reason, it can provide multiple extra health states.
If it had no counter it would need a nerf. But blindess can happen in like 6 different perks sooo

Its ridiculous that you get punished by being good by going into troll squads.

But you can't have that now. It is how it is.
If we are talking about matchmaking in general, then yes, I would also prefer fair matchmaking instead of fast one.
That is how it is, but that doesn't mean its the best way

With Huntress i must disagree, okay you maybe can't do such flicks on Console but the rest i can do the same like on PC, only Trickster i think is a problem but after the Update on 28. that also shouldn't be a problem. but what is Legion doing on your list? Legion isn't hard on any plattform?
Lol, show me the pro of ANY killer on console. Its not fair that there is an artificial divide by hardware, unless they want to let everyone use a keyboard and mouse. There are huntresses on pc that hit across the map. There are legions who hit and flick to dodge, impossible on console. Legion is easy, but its bs the top skill cap is hardware and they aren't doing anything about it

Well, then you need to choose: do you want a quick game or do you want a (in your eyes) "fair" match? You can't get both.
I would gladly sacrifice the quick for the fair.

you said one or two are nearly unplayable... can i ask who do you mean because i'm a console player and mainly killer main, i play every killer sometimes but i dont think that a singel one is unplayable
Huntress, hux, trickster, and legion are no where near there PC skill roof.

PC Players were fine before crossplay was a thing. If you really feel that you are at a disadvantage, then disable crossplay.

Its ridiculous to permit PC players a mechanical option console doesn't get.

If MMR was better it would take this into effect and give them tough killers

@JPLongstreet said:

While I'd like this option as well, it isn't feasible.
Most of the playerbase is on the consoles, so queue times for PC players would soar. However most of the killers are on PC, so surv queue times on console would also suffer.
Also the main reason in adding in CrossPlay in the first place was to unite the playerbase, not divide it.
Thats why it should be an option, I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer to ensure a better game.

People need to stop acting like playing killer/survivor on console is like having your kneecaps broken prior to the match starting. It's not as good as on PC but it's not bad at all. I can play Nurse on console with no problems, and others can play killers like Blight and Oni whilst still being able to utilise their most advanced tech. I can 360 as survivor and even moonwalk sometimes.
If people want BHVR to try and further improve controls on console, that's great. But stop acting like the gap in accessibility between mouse and keyboard, and controllers is completely insurmountable. It's not. This reminds me of the people who said I'd need hundreds of hours of practice to get a 1K as Nurse. The challenge is grossly overstated.
Its not really an issue until it gets to higher skill. Then it is because every mistep on either side can be brutal.

There's a huge difference between skill advantage and mechanical advantages

You'd prefer randomly facing opponents who either easily win or provide you zero challenge?
4 random people is far better.

Theres literally calm spirit, run that. Stop whining a build is unfair when it is hard countered by a perk everyone has access to.

Blight needs buff.
-
New RE chapter, give us more!
-
Nemy is ok, but he needs some love. I think it would be ducking sick if he actually transformed in mutation stages
-
UW is strong, but calm spirit is a hard counter. Stop whining when there is counterplay available and its super easy to use.
-
Lol skill Issue
-
True
-
There is also a heavy element of meta gaming. A lot of survivor teams are braindead, and stop repairing gens to focus on a hook when they are one the first stage. A lot of survivors try to engage chase without having good chase perks. Also sometimes skilled survivors get outplayed by a killer doing something stupid because its hard to predict.
-
They already nerfed ruin, CoB, thana, there's hardly a good slowgen now except pain res and pop
-
He has been buggy since release. A shame they haven't fixed yet.
-
Is there a single thing you like in this game? Survivor entitlement smh
-
I always slug if there are 2 left, its the rational (if annoying) chpice for killer.
I think if there are two survivors left there should be an option to surrender.
Or make the option for the killer to interrogate a survivor, killer stares into there soul or whatever, but survivor runs away with speed burst, however, exit gates are powered but killer can see auras of survivors for 5 seconds.
This makes it more fun for everyone I think.

Hello!
Reading some comments on other posts I've seen some sympathy for this idea.
Survivor players have a variety of different playstyles, different strengths and weaknesses during play.
Because of that, certain killers which exploit those weaknesses are absolutely miserable to play against. Just right out of the gate the game is ruined.
I think it's reasonable for a player to have a limited blacklisting ability:
1 killer banned from their matchmaking outright
1 killer they'd prefer not to play against but will understandably have to sometimes, just hopefully less frequently than others.
My guess is that people have varied enough preferences that it would be spread out enough to not make it impossible for certain killers to find games. Maybe some survivors wouldn't even opt to use it at all.
However, if it turns out that certain killers are universally blacklisted, then that's a great indicator for the devs that the killer needs a rework. The design of the game should not ruin the enjoyment of all opposing players.
Just to see if there are any patterns here, I'm gonna share my picks and encourage others to share theirs:
Blacklist: Wraith
Prefer not to play against: probably Trickster, or maybe Legion
Only if I can blacklist MFT
-
If your getting 2 slugged and one hooked you deserve to lose that game.

Maybe in a small dose? Like the trap on nostromi where you can slow the killer? But I think it should have some setup and only slow the killer or stun him shortly... Otherwise that would be just too much...
Yeah, you'd have to make killer trap and survivor trap tiles.

What playstyle can you adopt that'll help you when you're tunnelled?
You're starting a chase injured, with the killer right next to you, while out of position and not in a loop. You don't have the ability (without perks) to break chase and try to be stealthy, so that playstyle is out. You can try and use the slight protection you have to reach a loop, if there's one in range, but that's not a different playstyle, that's just asking the survivor to put in five times the effort to counter tunnelling than the killer is putting in to tunnel them.
So... what's the better playstyle? What helps survivors when they are being tunnelled other than just being significantly better than their opponent?
To the wider post: I think making DS basekit is something you'd need to be careful with, because while it's difficult to weaponise DS, it's not impossible, and giving it to all survivors for free is going to lead to more people trying. That said, if you keep the basekit stun to 3 seconds, I think it's... workable. I wouldn't leap to it as my first attempt to fix tunnelling, but it is a viable idea for sure.
The key is to play stealthy so your not the first one hooked, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

But then Corrupt has already achieved its purpose... The survivors moved towards the smaller part of the map where the not corrupted gens are... So even though it is limited the perk did not really get that much weaker with the deactivation condition.
plausible! Fair enough!
-
Suggestion to fix tunneling: be careful and adopt a better playstyle.
