I must've gotten unlucky then, 'cause my obsessions have always been across the map when it proc'd.
Nevertheless, 20 seconds still isn't very long anyway. The killer has to get to you, and then still needs to get an M1 hit off. Maybe play it a bit safer when you realise you're the obsession? Or do the BBQ thing and hide in a locker.
If a survivor need to run away from Gen the moment a teammate get hooked. The perk saves killers an insane amount of Gen time.
Admit it. A survivor running away from Gen for 20sec, then spend alot of time to go back to their gen again. At least save Half Gen time per hook. Even Pop cant do this, and even if killer dont attempt to go for the Exposed survivor but go for teammate. I bet most people only see the value of instant down.
-
Seeing killer just hit a teammate, Empathy does it better, killer is focusing on that teammate, which will follow the teammate. Empathy let you know that info at all time, not 5sec.
Cant find a useful use for seeing scratch marks.

Old Dead Hard did have a counter which was baiting a swing/lunge. The distance wasn't counterable but many people weren't near a pallet to make proper use of that. I mastered the camera flick and it wasn't anything crazy. STBFL isn't a counter. If it was, it would also counter Dead Hard as it is the same problem of both people having endurance. Being injured would not be a counter for a full SWF running it either. They had comms so they knew where they were and were always healed.
It denies more than the first hook. It can deny multiple. If I hit the survivor vaulting into shack and the other duo uses FTP, I can't do anything. I can get them mid-process with my power but that would just be a waste of time and deep wound them. I can't imagine how it feels against an M1 killer. The effect is far from fine.
I dont think flicking mouse is a skill to call it "mastered", its only survivors afraid and use DH early.
If Im chasing an injured Dwight, while Meg following behind. If Meg success using BU+FTP, it takes at least 2min before able to use it again: 60sec broken, 16 beind healed, and the time to run away and running back for Dwight...Another teammate spend 16sec to heal Meg, all of that time that Meg isnot on Gen... the time wasted is massive for a single hit.
I understand killers mentality to think each 10sec of chase is 30sec of Gen because I also do. But it isnt always the case.
I play Myer nowadays, and I do quite fine against them.
-
BU+FTP effect is fine but 2 perks slot is quite cheap for the effect.
I would make BU gains Haste instead. So survivors have to use WGLF to give teammate Endurance and MFT to give themselves Endurance. The perks would not overlap each other, and requires at least 3 or 4 perk slots for it.

The Trapper definitely needs to start with all of his traps at the very least. As far as making him high tier?
Mm…
- Trapper Sack basekit
- Tension Spring basekit
- Secondary Coil basekit
- Making his traps inflict one damage state instead of only injury. Injured Survivors should go into a dying state when caught.
There is a difference between making Trapper A tier, and unbalanaced/unhealthy game play
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
You can't.
All of these killers are suffering from strong maps. But these maps are exists because of high and anti-loop killers. Balancing maps around m1 killers would break all B and higher killers.
So only solution would be to giving them some good anti-loop.
They did with Trapper, that now he can lock down 10 loops and setup trap at pallet to force survivors leave loops and catch them with Haste.
And I dont like it.
-
Without blindness, UW is still annoying on Wesker/Blight/Nurse. But totally useless on killers like Trapper.
But the blindness should go. No its not about Im not able to use WoO, its about Im not able to see my teammates slugged/hooked. At least make blindess not affect basekit aura (slugged/hooked teammates), then blindness effect would be more fair.

Yeah BHVR seems to like the idea of 'Everything needs to be weak so that way its balanced!' so instead of buffing weak things to be on par, they absolutely gut any strong perks. (edit: also for sales. BHVR keeping all the perks weak makes it so when a new shiny good perk comes along, everyone rushes to buy it before they gut it just in time for the next few chapters to have some crazy strong perk rinse and repeat)
Perks are permanent after purchasing and able to bring it every match. While Items/addons are not.
For me, perks should be weaker than items/addons. But that would not make them sell chapters.

I mained her. I stopped playing her.
Shes awful to play for me. No strategic thinking. Just mindless spamming.
She's not only worse for survivors. She worse for everyone except those that want huge value for little input.
Pretty much the same case for me with Trapper.
No planning since there are so many traps to spam, (and actual no good places to think for setting up). Just put down at pallets and hope survivors run there before their teammate disarms. Especially play like Artist that he put trap mid chase, force survivor to leave loops and catch up with Haste.
Feel no skill in planning and setup anymore. I want to mind game them, manipulate their path into my traps.

There's no such thing as 'tunnelling gens'. Stop misusing terminology for false equivalence.
And what else are survivors supposed to do but gens?
3 survivors wait for 1 teammate getting tunneled out first before doing Gen.

@Gabe_Soma said:
Acutally it's the opposite.
What's annoying is knowing that at any moment of the game the killer can spot where you are because of the now innumerable aura reading perks.
Distortion has become a must if you want not to get wallhacked every single second.
Aura reading to know survivors' location is one thing. But getting wallhacked in chase is another. Killers think aura let them know where survivors are, but not thinking about aura that let them wall hack in chase.
-
Long chase is fun for survivor, long match is fun for killer. So Im always think Pig, Pinhead are good design. Alien to an extend.
-
I find vs Pinhead is fun. Not strong in chase, and have basekit slowdown. Hes how other killers should be. Long chase and long match is fun for both sides.
The problem is if he manage to tunnel 1 out. The remaining survivors cant even rush gen. 1 in chase - 1 on hook - 1 go unhook is already a lose for survivor. Adding the Box gives survivors zero chance.

Its lot easier to pull Mori for Sadako now, why do you want old Sadako?
For me with Trapper with alot of buff/changes, I dont like how Trapper being now, I prefer his very old form, that I can live with carrying 1 traps.
- Less traps, but more powerful and easy to know where to set trap. I dont waste much time to set trap, and its harder for survivors to find and disarm traps.
- Things that used to hide traps.
- More grass
- More fog
- Realms were darker.

If there are 2 survivors left and 1 being slugged for 45sec, the slugged one gain ability to self kill is all it needs.

I was too used to use aura perks as killer before doing 50 matches challenge as Myers. My sense of understand/predict where survivors should be was enhanced.
Distorsion users dont work on me because I dont use aura perk anymore.
The problem is them not doing Gen or willing to take the heat for death hook teammates.

Again, we are just pointing out the hypocrisy here. Nobody is suggesting that killers "think gens being done is a problem" we are simply pointing out that killers get yelled at for tunneling, but nobody cares when survivors do it. The double standard is real.
Similarly people complain when killers bring Corrupt/Pop/Painres/BBQ on blight with god-tier addons, but when survivors bring, Adren/Resilience/Sprint Burst/Commodius/BNP/Insta heal/Sending you to garden of joy. That is totally fine though.
I'm simply pointing out double standards here because they tend to get ignored on these forums.
I would expect nothing less than killer mains thinking being tunneled is fun

Although to be fair on the other end i have seen survivors want to push allowing you to change your keybinds for specific interactions so they can vault while chained by pinhead for instance because of the things being the same button. Unhooking instead of mending (again same button) not being vacuumed into a locker when vaulting (ect). These are also cases where thats just how the game is. Removing pinheads chains are a primary action same as vaulting. So you can't have it both ways same as a killer trying to pick up vs kicking the pallet. So in the case that ever gets fixed i think itd be fair to make kicking and pickup different buttons as well.
Adding more keys for more actions would solve (remove) CJ tech yes. It would also solve locker/window interaction, free hooks happen with survivors jump into locker.
Though, the game would be less fun to watch, since those are unexpected scenarios.

You can be forced out of the pallet breaking animation and into the pick up how ca you tell me that is not a bug?
Its just the rule of the game. There is 1 candy, either you, or me, eat the candy. It is coded like that, and meant to be played like that.
Kicking animation trumps Any mean Necessary, which Kicking cancel AMN. If Kicking trumps vaulting, then vaulting denies kicking would be a bug. However, Devs dont code kicking trumps vaulting. Perhaps because vaulting animation be canceled mid pallet would be weird.
Though, as other said, you can simply wait half a sec and hit/down the CJ tech user. They risk taking hit, or even free hook, success flashlight save is their reward.
Same to killer window vault passing, you can notice if there are scratch marks, if not, survivor doesnt running. Its not un-counterable or give survivor any benefit.

The skillcheck simulator is a better game experience than confronting an actual player? If you escape without having been chased, it's practically as if you didn't actually play, there is no difference with the killer being AFK. You can genrush, everyone gets 14k bloodpoints at best because noone was chased and there was no altruistic actions, but that was a GG...
When you tunneling a survivor that actual out skill you to the point other 3 will complete 5 Gens, then other 3 escape and not getting chased.
The other 3 survivors play skillcheck simulator, not confronting an actual player. They didn't actually play, The only difference with the killer being AFK is all 4 survivors play skillcheck simulator.
So your point that trying to make...is failed.

Survivors is the role that can be eliminated. If being eliminated from the game is a problem, then don't queue up as the role that can die.
If a Gen being done is a problem to people, they should not queue up as the role that dont want Gens being done.
I go back mostly playing killers (Myers to be specified) because I cant stand eliminated in 5min. Its killers main turn to play mostly survivors, they will not be sad when a Gen is done.

What about the Cj tech and pallet vacuum why are those not fixed? Oni is a bad killer overall if you can't flick with him cuz nobody is stupid enough to run in a straight line vs a Oni in his power.
CJ isnt a bug. Pallet can be only interacted with 1 player. When Dwight is vaulting, Meg can not vault or killer can kick.
If you press Space when Dwight is vaulting, you can not kick the pallet, but since there is another interaction (a slugged survivor), you will pick them instead.
Blight & Wesker sliding along with objects are not what their powers should do.
You're mistaking between bug & tech.

This is actually a good idea but it would just boil down to making survivor feel more sluggish and/or punish a killer for getting a kill. Also it’s still possible to kill a survivor without tunneling before you reach 8 hooks. The only way to kill tunneling would be to make Pain Res/BBQ (you’d have to disable it for Nurse, Blight, and mobility killers in general) and 5-second DS basekit, but that wouldn’t fly well with the community.
This is a stupid quote: but Rewarding for getting a kill is why killers tunnel
To make killer not tunneling, you have to reward for not tunneling, while at the same time punish for doing so, and still give survivors 40% chance to win.
I saw people saying if a survivor get hooked once, get 33% debuff then 66% if hooked twice. They didnt think the problem on survivors side if killer manage multiple hooks early, even without debuff, its already no chance for survivors to win.
No, that idea doesnt fix the fact survivors would rush Gen even harder before they get their 33% debuff. Its either 3 Gens first chase, or guaranteed lose
The game isnt about finding a way so killers dont tunnel, you still need to keep that 40% chance to win for survivors.
Killers do less than 6 hooks for 3 kills is the reason the game balanced around killers making 6 hooks.
-
4 survivors have to be weaker. In return 3 survivors have to be alot stronger, and even stronger the less survivors remaining. Thats when killers will play for 8 hooks before first kill, to keep the 4 survivors alive debuff 2/3 the game.
-
- 1250 bp per Gen x 5 Gens, 6250 bp in total, split to 4 survivors.
- 1500 bp per unhook x 8 hooks, 12000 bp in total, split to 4 survivors.
- 300 bp per heal, in average after 8 hooks, 8 heal, 2400 bp, split to 4 survivors.
Those are the core score event for survivors, and its only ~20.000bp.
Killers' gameplay is a loop of actions: find a survivor - kick Gen - chase - use power - hit - chase - use power - hit - hook...then repeat the actions. Each of those gives killer BP. Kills dont matter, as long as you're able to make alot of loops of actions, you get alot of BP.

Lets see the maps added/changed this year.
- Shelter wood changed with Skullmerchant main building added. The layout of the map is changed.
- Mother dwelling reworked.
- Temple of purgation reworked.
- Toba landing added, with new types of gym title
- Blood lodge layout changed.
- Gas heaven layout changed.
- Fractured cowshed layout changed.
- Rancid abattoir layout changed.
- Nostromo wreckage added.
- A new variation of Coal tower added
- A new variation of Groaning store house added
- A new variation of Ironwork of Misery added
- A new variation of Shelter woods added
- A new variation of SuffoPit added
- Shattered Square layout changed
- Hawkin added back to the game
Survivors need to know chaining paths between title to loops/mind game effectively. While killers dont need to remember the titles but to learn mind game at the current title from there.
Trapper no more able to set traps at titles but rather chaining paths between title. Its really necessary for him to use Zanshin tactic to recognize the chain path, with alot of new maps to learn, Im no more able to main Trapper.

@Pulsar The Continued Ignorance of Performance Issues Continues to Hamper Player Fun?
-
A large part of the map, the small ship wreck corner is not being played, there is nothing there, especially Gen. A title that can be used for gameplay have to contain a Gen, where survivors are and where killers patrol for chase.
I wonder if anyone ever hook/get hooked in the small ship wreck basement?
-
I think Nurse power should be depleted every time she's stop using power/hit a survivor. if Nurse hit you with 1 blink. You're pretty much down right after, because Nurse only need half a time to get their powers back
If you notice the pattern, killers that on high tier mostly have their power bar auto filled with speed. Blight, Wesker, Spirit, Artist...May have the same rule applied to them.

If it went a method like that where it can deny items and medkits I think having the item drain charges while in chase would suffice better since it still asks you to do a little bit for a strong effect against medkits
23 charges medkits will not give survivor a self healing, you dont need Medkits to be depleted. Plus killers chase for down, by the time down a survivor, items will be depleted. And the way to counter this perk would be drop item before getting into chase like Franklin.
And with SWF, 1 recognize it and other 3 will drop, however, this will suffer Solo the most.

Streetwise is nice to have but not all that strong. Overwhelming Presence is probably one of the worst perks in the game. It can work on Wesker with Distressing on a small map but in a normal game, it's worthless. Nobody forces the survivor to use their item while the killer is nearby.
It will not counter toolboxes because a toolbox will be depleted before the killer even finds that survivor, you do not want to heal with a medkit while the killer is near, nobody uses keys and maps and to counter flashlights, you have Lightborn.
What if OW decrease 20% charges of items in general, no TR needed? The perk alone can deny self healing of basic 24 charges Medkits. Which can be powerful.

Id post the huh turtle for the 5th time this week but i think the mods are getting tired of it. So imma just say. She's mostly fine imo. Just some of her addons seem weird (iri head is still failed design its either useless or busted and they cant keep balancing around it) range killers are a slippery slope especially when they are instant damage like her. Since like they stated they don't like insanely good range killers in a chase game like this one. So i could mostly see a addon pass. And if they like her basekit keeping it pretty much the same.
Perhaps, let her belt addon increase the number of hatchets when paired with iri. But instant down only count from 18m or something?
Her iri still keep the unfun play that she will run right next behind you before throwing hatchet.

You do realize that in your example here, it meant that the killer hooked ONLY the obsession and only received from the perk 1 scream each time rather than aura reading/exposed. The perk is kinda screwy in that to get its stronger effects, you have to find and down the people who AREN'T the obsession, AKA the people that the perk doesn't help you find.
Well, are you trying to make prove that BBQ is better than Friend till the end?

I dont think its too strong, but the full blow info of the perk (screaming & aura). Blight/Wesker/Spirit can close to the target in no time, and have time for M1 chase (with 10sec aura that survivors cant mind game).
Though, its clearly beat BBQ in every aspect.
- You dont need to see 4 survivors at once, but one, killer can only chase 1 survivor at a time.
- Less counter (BBQ has range limit at <40m), the perk let you see at all range.

I outran and hid from him the first two times I got exposed. The third time I went down, got hooked and the obsession changed. I got rescued and healed only for Chucky to get another hook and I became the obsession again and he exposed me. I just wish the obsession would swap between survivors instead of just afflicting the same survivor constantly.
Obsession should be on the least hooked survivor. If a Dwight just got down and hooked, Meg become obsession and then hooked, then Dwight become obsession again is not right.
Some killers down Dwight, then Meg, then Dwight, then Meg, then last hook Dwight while not chasing Clau & Jake. Is quite effective (not as effective as hard tunneling), if the perk just luckily put obsession on Dwight every time a teammate got hook. Its not fair for him.

I like Lery alot, I still remember fresh reworked Lery used to be dark. The boundary corridors were dark and had light/wind from the windows
That with me holding a key, walk silently with a random teammate to find the hatch... I miss that feeling.
Indoor maps also have build-in slowdown because its harder for survivor to find Gens. I hate the Game the most though.
