  • Try running expose perk and show us how you perform with that.

Make your choice, needs info perks to make it consistence.

All expose perk needs some info to make it worth running or else the duration will expire all the time.

"You've no right to complain about how hard the game is when you continue to use the least efficient strategies." Im sorry, but this is just wrong.

One of the most common complaints from killers, is that its 'necessary' to camp and tunnel in order to win. Is this true in some scenarios? Absolutely, but in the large majority of cases its not. That doesnt stop those people from complaining, and they have every right to do so.

People want to feel as if they have options that are actually meaningful. Can you imagine just how boring this game would be if all anyone did was play 100% optimally? Or literally any game for that matter? People play games for fun, some want to just sit back and have a good time, not sweat their ass off.

In the case of this PTB, its been a common complaint that holding M1 is just not fun and should be addressed in some way. Wanna know how their complaints were heard? By making them hold M1 even longer. It just feels like a slap in the face.

Well, isnt that the case of Survivor HUD?

Dev wants to prune survivors playstyle to be as efficient as possible. Then the other side response is also playing with killing in efficiency too which means tunnel one out early.

  • Dont use Lethal if you dont have add-on or other aura reading stacking with it.

    Should only use corrupt.

Ormond, you should hold the middle area, never make survivor lead you to corner shack or corner loop.

  • Slug meta: chain down survivor to interrupt gen rush

    Infectious Fright, Sloppy, Jolt, Deadlock

  • Franklin, Sloppy, Deadlock, Jolt.

Is playing to have fun, instead of optimizing the easiest win and making the most boring matches possible, off the table?

Well that whats you get when the mmr happen?

Losing streak is not fun when killer have to face sweaty survivors all the time?

Survivors not having fun when facing killer sweaty all the time?

Yep I dont see any issue here beside devloper vision to prune winning rather than fun when they introduce MMR system.

CoB and OC are the perks giving strength to this strategy. Rework or nerf them so regression is awarded for chases and progressing the game and this would be less viable.

Perks like Corrupt and deadlock already passively slowdown the game if the killer isn't doing well in chases, but CoB and OC are just handholding and rewarding killers that purposely avoid doing their mission, which is kill survivors and chase them, removing the interaction between killer and survivor

    Well well well,

    Eruption die for this,

now let nerf other killer perk that I dont like to play with. Time for a new mission eh?

Oh, isnt Eruption reward from downing survivor and win chases which is killer mission? :D

    What a broken record!

  • Show us your gameplay, If you are playing bad what do you expect from PVP game?

  • Survivor should realize that there is more than second chance perks.

You mentioned that "him grabbing your through the vaulting animation" and talking about that. My point was, on his side of things, he probably only grabbed you partway through the animation. The example i gave is an example where it works the other way. And i'm saying the both are likely related to latency issues or just networking/server issues.

Grabbing choice is related to some fixing from the past few months.

In August, his newly launch, if anyone play him heavily, they will remember about the M2 at loop windows.

100% of the time, during the vault animation, Wesker will have tentacle hit survivor at the back, never a grab.

This is for the first month.

For the many in last 3 months, I have played as him alot and you will always get a grab animation at vaulting widows, pallets and such. This is with 40ms btw. So, its not ping issue but a change choice of grabbing or hit at the back which the dev coded it.

Now you will see that tentacle hit only during endurance hit to survivor.

'Exposed but only if you hit the power once people ignore it' isn't a strong enough effect to get people to go cleanse.

The "Expose status" applied to infected survivor if Wesker use Urorobros Vial.

If he doesnt use it, then you need to hit the survivor with M2 power and pray that you slam into the wall not throwing them to the wall.

Devs are generous with Aid spray tho, 6 in total, and each spray can use for 2 times.

Normally, unless survivors are trying to be efficient on doing gens or other stuff and ignore the infection. Yes, that the trade off they are willing to make, not wesker power fault!

  • @hiken said:

Wesker is fine. The only thing i Hate about him is the fact that he can grab u even if u already half vaulted the loop he grabs u back is so f dumb. Other than that he has fair counterplay id rather verse 10 wesker in a row than a damn nurse or blight.

The grabbing is a fix and added later in the update. Before, he doesnt grab survivor, but a hit in the back instead.

    @Marik1987 said:

Always the same. I can understand why people like to play this Nurse/Blight-Combination of a killer, but oh boy, its enough.

I dont like to call out "nerf killer XZY", but this guy is an exception. Reduce the distance for the dashes, let a dash-hit only infect no matter if u hit a wall or open field and only when already infected you can hit. Like Nemesis.

This guy is so unbelievable annoying to face, its unreal.

I dont pick him myself because I feel bad for the survivors to face this guy once again, even if he is actually fun to play as. You can say "your fault for not picking him", but I just feel the way I feel. I have problems picking this annoying dude when playing killer because I kinda feel with the survs.

His power strong? LOL, it has the good and bad like all other killers!

    Let me breakdown:

    Short loops = Very Weak

Long Loops = Required skills and map awareness

Open Field = Timing right and unless survivor being potato to run in straight-line

    @Bwsted said:

The only thing unnecessary is the hindered effect. One shotting at full infection is already a powerful debuff that forces staying injured or going for a secondary objective that reveals your location.

The hindered is just power crept stuff and makes tunneling with him extremely easy and it simply wins chases for you.

For the rest, he's just buggy, like half the roster.

Yep the hinder effect that take 80 - second to be fully infected compare to nemesis who become active immediately!

  • Wesker Influence on my mindset very badly when playing other M1.

Every time I play M1 and I behind a survivor and it take ages to catch up. Always have a though, man, I wish I am Wesker.

Survivor also response to this differently as well as Wesker is a threat when they are behind you in 20 meters

  • Playing Freddy then play wesker later is night and day.

  • Jolt, Fearmonger, Sloppy Butcher, Spise from shadows. All can be find in beginning of killer perks pool

  • The map weakest part is at carnival part, fair in middle building and hard near the shack

  • Boon Perks are ok. But 90%, people use only COH thats the problems

  • No, you are wrong, WRONG!

It is WOLVORINE, hugh jackman will have voice over too!

Its true guy, its true! Deadpool told me so!

  • It is how one perk be able to provide 4 people to be able to self heal themselves without wasting slot on medkits, healing perks.

  • @versacefeng said:

Do you not see the way people swoon over Huntress and Spirit? Sometimes Susie and Artist too.

Yeah, but compare to those two, the skull merchant is like a 9. last year, we got wesker and everyone play him because coat and cool, glasses.

Now we got a low shirt female killer. Oh boy. Gonna be a big one :D

  • The way they approach to killer is very different then survivors.

Killer: Release in the weakest form and wait later to buff it. See wesker and knight. Why? They afraid of community outrage from survivors

Killer Perk: Nerf and wait months later to see what data about.

Survivor: Buff it now, and fix later

  • Remember guys, Boon Circle of healing.

After months of compliant, they reduce heal to 75% to test the water.

and nerf to 50% last time, its like every survivor perk, they need to not anger their big player base.

Yeah by logic, is 80 percent of your gamers is on survivor side, they need to treat it with care without losing revenue.

  • So, this PTB will be released with new kilelr for testing yeah?

  • @Erenior said:

it is just that generator repair speeds are just OUT OF CONTROL

Had a match recently and within the first chase and about ~80 seconds after the game started 2 gens popped.

vs halfway decent players with toolboxes, brand new parts and stuff like that dbd sucks. my opinion.

it just feels like bhvr wants to breastfed survivors...

edit: how about removing all gen fast things and killers kikc only stops the gen? no more 3gens, only chase.

The game feel faster now why?

Because before we have corrupt to slow down in early game. And Survivor have to use one slot for borrow time, not borrow time is the base, they move to prove thyself. 46 sec 1 gens equal to 1 down or so.

In paper, 4 survivors will finish all gens before the killer finish all pallets on the map. :)

Oh yeah, not to mention you need to have a slow ass animation of picking up and get survivor onto a hook.

Now with HUD, the rush meta begins. You will barely have time.

  • @Chaosrider said:

I wonder how M1 killer won their games before gen regression meta?

Before the shake up, We have Corrupt to slow down the early game making the killer have a chance at weak beginning. Pop to play mid game.

Pain Res + DMS for slow movement killers.

Thana + Pentimento+Hex Plaything for wasting time at totem.

Now what, corrupt and pop nerfed, Pain Res and DMS nerfed, Thana nerfed.

  • @Beatricks said:

    Let's take stock then!

    1) Nurse is completely broken and can mop the floor with comp teams

    2) Blight is completely broken and can mop the floor with comp teams, sometimes even harder than Nurse

    3) Spirit is completely broken and can mop the floor with comp teams.

    4) NOED is a free kill/win button despite it's supposed "nerf"

    5) Killrates are above 70% combined.

Yeah, the game is totally survivor sided. What a joke. People need to stop being carried by perks.

Dude, where is the 70% percent kill rate come from? Is this state you saw in the sky or something?

Last time we got data was in october.

  • Example: Treatment to COH, its like they were really scare to touch this perk.

They make change two times from major complaint.

Once it was 75% which is just 2 sec short from 100%.

Another its 50%, its like they afraid of backlash survivor sided population.

  • Haha, Its kinda funny tho, You know the treatment to COH, its like they were really scare to touch this perk.

They make change two times from major complaint.Once it was 75% which is just 2 sec short from 100%.Another its 50%, its like they afraid of backlash from their cashcow 4 people population. hahaha While killer perks, they nerf into oblivion. Dont care, dont matter to solo killer players.

Back to the topic, I believe it will be Call of the brine, Nowhere to Hide or Lethal Pursuer (1sec)

  • PR and DMS will barely work now when survivor can see you carrying survivor unless they blind. Good luck

  • We are just plaything in 1vs4, cant have nice thing. Also, bad business decision for dev to nerf cash cow.

  • Population of killer is 1 : 4 Survivors.

So, they should cater to survivor to keep people keep playing. Business is business, thats how you make money.

Not to say it is a fact. Im speculating here based on my experience in corporate function.

If you are not happy with killer, maybe try survivor side. Chill with game, hold m1 rather than beat yourself up doing muti tasking with little rewards or appreciate on the good play.

You want to win, you tunnel someone as early as possible so efficiency can be dropped. < Killer bad, brainless play, ez playstyle, you are suck. See how other side view you :)

  • Castle in the wood map, Yes Yes!

ulimate flying killer that you get once in a while, yes yes!

onion to counter the killer for survivor all over the map, yes yes that would be hilarious.

And one more thing, what about the Conjuring Universe, the Nun

  • The people who defend the DH here and state that it is skill, while think Eruption is brainless perk.

Do you think get a survivor down is based on skill of killer and winning mindgame and such. and should killer get some reward of gens regress or not? Because it seems like you are showing biased toward killers who get a survivor down.

  • Wishing for Sadako and cenobite maps if possible

Making killer actions take less time does improve QoL. You can disagree but it doesn't change the fact they were given alot of little buffs. You can argue it didn't do enough and that would be a perfectly reasonable opinion. However stop pretending killers are always getting the shaft. They've had massive improvements over the course of this games life.

10% faster kick pallets, still survivors can get to another tile

10% faster recover, still survivor can get to another tile.

    These are not QOL

After Meta shake up update, what killer get is nerf after nerf.

    Thana was nerfs,

    Buff Flashlight save to survivors

    HUD update.

To be honest, I want to see how this update play out tbh, will the swing be too much to survivor side or not. Devs here keep saying they will monitor it very closely. So, people complained here should not jump the gun just yet. Statistic of data will be important for the next update.

The game should evolve with time, we should embrace the change tbh

The concern will be, what will the killer get back. I hope it wont be 10% buff like before and how long they will provide.

    Killers

Addon - of killer are downright suck need to look at. Some are the same

Map - Pallet infested map, with hard tile spawn close to each other

Stealth Mechanic - need to update

    Blindess - Need to update

  • Killer Regression - Base 100%

Survivor Complete Gen - Base 1600% (Suppose 4 survivors are on gens, or maybe 1200% when 3 survivor on gens

    Enough Said.

When gens buff to 90s, survivor here cried their heart out

Recently, devs also keep releasing rushing gen speed perk too. Hyper focus and Energy something.

  • Survivors refuse to runs aura reading perk.

Using the same second chance perk over and over again.

Get blast from eruption (shocked Pikachu face)

This perk is bad nerf it.

3 gens situation with eruption and cob - Dev keep releasing gen rush perk like fogwise, hyper focus, can stack with toolboxes.

Survivor keep stacking second chance perk.

Lose to 3 gens (shocked Pikachu face)

  • From business pov, I saw this as an absolute win for company revenue.

Numbers doesnt have feeling like us, thats included big number in bank account.

  • @Wewantjason said:

I used to love hex builds and hit and run. They were both fun. Now I literally hate them and hope the perks are all just reworked or removed.

Hexes: used to be high risk high reward. Now it's just all risk. Hexes are always broken pretty much immediately. Period. No if ands or buts I refuse to play hex builds aside from plaything/pentimento and even then the perks don't seem to help but provide slowdown while people break them. I did however have THREE matches recently as dredge where four playthings were still burning at the end game. Comms and aura reading flat out counter oblivious/no terror radius. Which fine is fair. But it also means no hex builds. Also with ruin nerfed among other things if I run a hex build 2-3 gens pop before 2-3 hooks plus I lose my hexes. Killers playiing hex builds are either in low MMR or just new. Hex builds make killers lose against good survivors period. This playstyle is stupid and pointless.

Hit and run: this was my bread and butter. get some injures spread around and kick gens. people heal and waste time as i do hooks and more injures. Fun, helped keep tunneling and camping to a minimum. Currently however between hyperfocus/stakeout, provethyself x 2-4, toolboxes, medkits, if the killer does not CONSTANTLY stop gens and IMMEDIATELY down people, they will lose FAST. If I hit someone then go hit someone else, then down either person that got hit, I've lost a gen. Period. Five downs five gens. It's either constantly hit, hit, hook, patrol all gens, of hit, hit, hook, camp.

What do you want ? You want the killers to just let you win? If those playstyles are dead its because the devs and survivors killed them. I do NOT have fun spending the ENTIRE match dealing with gen regression. I miss running devour hope. But I tried it maybe, 7-8 games in a row last week and it was broken EVERY game despite having undying. ######### is the point if it never actually gets used? I wasted 20 seconds of a survivors time. Big whoop. Now I'm a perk down and the survivors still have all 16 perks at their disposal. why should I hit and run when by the time I get a down they heal or just do the gen injured? You people forget you can just DO GENS INJURED. Aside from hearing you louder when we are close you being injured does not stop your objective AT ALL. it does nothing. Injuring you hit and run style literally does nothing to the survivors. Most my team mates run resilience and then injuries' just become buffs. Especially with deadhard.

tl;dr hex builds and hit and run builds only work on new/bad survivors. Good survivors has a million ways of shutting them down. Hexes suck and so does hit and run "most" of the time.

Killers are tired of it too. They gave us three build slots but it doesn't matter. The moment we don't run our mega gen regression right now we lose unless the lobby is filled with newer/bad survivors. I've had a few games recently where I was FLABBERGASTED gens weren't popping until endgame screen showed me the players only having unleveled perks etc. implying they were new. At which point its matchmaking cuz they should NOT have been playing me, but matchmaking is another topic.

Big issue however is that the game balance never makes sense. Lets take current meta: I COULD run the hex or HAR (har=hit and run) builds if I were playing beginners. But this many wins and hours no way. I've had to play against people like ohtofu and other huge streamers before. I can't try that ######### on players at that level. mmr soft cap has people at a certain level (frankly i expect most forum lurkers to be in or near that level because to care enough to be here you MUST have a time sink in the game) to where you see very good players and the BEST players all in the same pool, plus bad ones occasionally when the player pools are too small.

There is no balancing a game around match making that is so poor. We can watch players like OTZ go afk for 30 seconds and still win. That means nothing for balance though because 99.9% of players cant do that.

Are we balancing around what? The best players? The average players?

Hexes will never be a major playstyle again unless they are hidden better, take longer to cleanse, or swfs fully banned to avoid call outs. None of this will happen.

hit and run is dead unless gens gain better passive slowdown than what we currently have or healing is nerfed. Neither is going to happen.

The current two play styles are control gens forever because it's our ONLY option, or camp and tunnel people out.

If you are tired of these two playstyles then your only options are

1.) stop playing because killers aren't going to THROW because you're bored

2.) convince the entire survivor community to not gen rush. Not happening. Gens are the survivors objective they are SUPPOSED to gen rush despite what killers complain about. Asking you to not do gens is like asking killers not to kill. so this option isn't feasible.

3.) Convince the devs to balance things around the average players, add a comp mode and it have it's own balance as well, and fix match making. This is the most realistic option but also not going to happen.

If you made it this far in my rambling rant let me ask. What do you honestly think killer players should do? Ok we run those other two playstyles and lose more often? Why should we do that? Give me a actual GOOD reason for us to run weaker builds and weaker playstyles. Just so YOU can have fun, because killers shouldn't win or enjoy the game?

You run your meta stuff and tea bag in exit gates. We run meta stuff and have to see ten million threads about every little buff and decent perk we get. So sick of seeing you people on here complaining about eruption meanwhile we've had to deal with dead hard for years and even after a nerf it remains the single strongest perk in the entire game.

No, I mainly play killer. And stuck with this meta for 5 month or possible 6 months is enough.

The kicking gen meta where you need to drop chase to kick gens and holding 3 gens forever is starting to be stale from my killer side.

Most of the hex so far are barely slow gens down. The most powerful one is ruin which encourage suivivor to clean totem, and when they clean totem, we got a chance to put pentimento up. Now, survivor dont priority clean totem at all since there is no single totem threaten their gaming progress.

As forHit and Run, I can see it can become viable again if we got thana to before meta shake up which 5% per survivor injured as thana + claurophobia will carry this playstyle despite the COH.

I just hope that people who compliant here to nerf ruin and thana before know that because of that you are facing the eruption and cob killer which is the only current viable way for killer to go against 4 or efficient suvivors.

  • Covid 19 and lockdown at home lead to people have alot of free time to playgame compare to actual outdoor actvities.

There are many researches about gaming sale spike and gaming company raking millions from that period, now their sale are struggle to look good as before.

I saw this as a normal drop as the spike was from covid 19 is understandable

  • Next patch is buffing the survivor sharing info action (Free bond perks) to give out info for chasing and such. Let see how this perk will perform.

I think the reasons many survivor here compliant is because they bring mostly second chance perk to the game. So, less info from other survivor make going down.

  • I get stuck on every stupid #########. using tall killer make you hard to spot the low tile that stuck you somehow. damn

  • Call to Arm amd Map of the realm add-on is busted. drop the guards, chase another survivor off the gens, two survivor chase at the same time. Mico gameplay is very fun with this. feel ike you have an army that can go to vs 4

  • I think he is really fun.

    • 1. Using his power not in loop, but to cut survivor off from strong loop ahead, so survivor will either go back or go infront.
    • 2. Add on increase the speed of putting patrol path is op. Call to arm something
    • 3. Slug playstyle will overwhelm survivor easily, one slug then you put patrol and went to another survivors
    • 4. he is weak at center of the map, while strong at corner of the maps
    • 5. Bonus point: he can do fake using patrol that you can caught survivor off (looking at you wesker, suck at recharge power all the time, that you cant do fake power usage)
  • He is very bad at pallet loop tile, while good at windows loop and hold W survivors. I think he is Low B.

Thing is, Deathslinger and Pyramid head all have fake aim and bait aim while wesker doesnt. Should have add on or buff him in this department.

  • Suffocation Pit. 4 Jungle gyms in the middle section, back to back as a requirement in codes generated is stupidly awful. I get nightmare from this map.

One side is shack, other side is building with two windows and lot of pallets at side too.

We have middle infested with jungle gym and windows, another with pallets.

Suffocation strangled killers pit. Suffocation survivor's paradise!

  • Map is coded with RNG layout tho. Both the gens and tiles are RNGs.

Killer Side: Double Jungle Gym next to each other, Pallet into vault window at shack into another jungle gym. on and on. Best advice is to drop chase and partrol other gens.

Survivor side: Noooo, killer cant have 3 gens, we cant communicate, team work sucks. Best advice is to try to break gens yourself rather than rely on your potato team mates.
