Well for translation 100% but to ask for a chapter is a bit much.
I know it is difficult, but the Arab region is full of myths and legends from which they can make 2 killers out of these ideas.
It is a pity that the developers did not pay attention to this treasure

There's plenty of cultures to be added to the game so you're not the only one. Just because you a "representative" have been asking for it for that long doesn't give you any higher priority other groups that have been asking for that long.
But there is no response, even those who offered to volunteer were not answered either
-
@Mooks said:
You might say that Zerina is indeed an Arab
But I will say that Jake is from Korea and yet they made a chapter from Korea
now why would Arabic take priority over any region/culture that’s not represented at all? Eg Native American, (native) Australian, plenty of Africa, anything Asian but Japan/Korea, Scandinavian. Or what about other regions, where we have ‚only‘ a survivor? China, Germany, etc pp.
thing is, they actually have great diversity in this regard and are expanding on it ever more. The Korean chapter was more K-Pop which had nothing to do with jake..
There are many games that have been translated into Arabic, so it is not an insurmountable problem, and also the Gulf countries, the Arabian Peninsula, is the best place to quote things to make Arab characters

Ah the classic "no chapter for my culture so must be ignoring us" tactic.

There are many legends in the Arab regions, including (the donkey of Qayla).
There are a lot of Arab players playing this game, and unfortunately not many are able to read and understand the English language
If you are wondering how they play the game ( So they rely on some Arab YouTubers to translate the game for them )
So I hope they add the Arabic language

The only annoying thing about it is making the survivor scream no matter whether the killer is near or far
I just want it to make the survivors just scream over Terror Radius only

Morticia from the Addams Family(Funny, Classy, Sexy, and quite dangerous as all of the Addams family are)
Akasha from Queen of the Damned
The Brides of Dracula(Darcula also a horror sex symbol in his own right)
Sil from Species(Alien human hybrid film for 1995)
Alma from F.E.A.R 2 Project Origin(Specifically Adult Alma, but she spends a lot of time appearing as a child. This game is very weird.)
A great deal of the vampires in Vampire the Masquerade universe, but if I had to pick one I'd say look up Velvet Velour she's a part of clan Toreador.
Cissy Carpenter from the Mafu Cage
Mallory Knox from Natural Born Killers(highly suggest this film)
I haven't seen any of them, but just seeing that little girl was a little stressful, and the one I mentioned is the first one.
But the rest didn't really feel any tension or terror, just (Ugh, why is she like this, why is she trying to seduce people, that's disgusting
It seems that I am the only one who is not attracted to anything, but rather annoyed by it

Alright so writing this out in a forum post is probably gonna be a touch out of my depth so I'll just link a couple of articles about fear and arousal as a springboard.
https://humanbehaviorlab.com/why-fear-and-arousal-look-the-same/
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-embodied-mind/201301/sexual-attraction-and-survival-mode
That should get you and anyone else curious about the link started towards looking into that link more if you want. To answer you question on a personal level is something I can do in a forum post though.
For me, some things are purely repulsive and shocking. Monsters with no inherent feeling of humanity, things that push at the edges of conscious understanding. Things that I can't relate to or even truly comprehend, but instinctively have no choice but to fear. Most killers in this game aren't that, they aren't conceptual beasts that evoke only fear and can't be understood through other more human lenses. Most of these killers are just people who happen to do horrific things or experience horrific things that ultimately change them for the worst. Huntress would split me in half without much thought, but it doesn't change that she is a beautiful woman under the mask. Trapper's brute strength would destroy me and I'm kinda here for that.
Like humans don't experience single feelings, we can and do experience a multitude of feelings all at once. Even our senses are tuned to understand things in broad groups. Like when you smell rotten meat it has a repulsive odor, but it also has those strange notes of sweetness. It's such a common thing that we have the phrase "The Sweet Smell of Death" which basically describes not only that actual sweet smell, but also the strange allure humans have towards death. There is beauty in violence and their is violence in art. The feeling I get when someone both scares and entices me is quite strong, it makes no less invested in my own safety in that moment, but the lingering potential thought of spicy end makes those moments just as memorable as being so terrified that my heart tries to stop.
The horror genre is really good at capitalizing on these sets of mixed feelings to create memorable experiences. DBD isn't locked to one specific franchise or sub genre of horror it is just a horror game full stop. So it has always touched on other emotions than pure fear. Way back in the day Wraith and Nurse got Valentines Day cosmetics that made them a couple. Nurse literally gave Wraith her still beating heart, a grotesque display of affection.
It has been mentioned that you are attracted after fear to someone you see, but this is in real life when there is a woman next to you if you are a man or vice versa
The game tells of a god-like being who kidnaps people from their worlds and puts them through endless terrifying trials.
And then you see thirsty skins in the match as if they had just come out of a party and this spoils the experience with horror
I don't know how some people find it so cool I find it so disgusting (I prefer prude skins and I hope to see more of them)
I may have misunderstood what you are trying to get at so can you give me characters from outside of DBD as examples
-
I never imagined that this could provoke the "thirsty"
I do not know if they know that there are games and sites designated for them to empty their lust there instead of spoiling the matches for everyone
I think they should make the option in the settings so that all players have default skins from the point of view that made this choice
It's true that the Skull Dealer will still be the same, but I don't want to see her hideous skins

Sex appeal has its place in horror as well. Always has. Humans and they monster they create are often used to express concepts around sex and sensuality. People can be attracted to the more seductive qualities that lay within horrifying individuals and some monsters are built around that aspect.
Really all I'm saying is thirst has always been in horror and dbd is fine theme wise. It has something for everyone and if you're not into what is out now, give it time you'll get something you like later. Doesn't have to be huge doom and gloom that dbd's fallen off the pure path of horror. This game could be the most sterile and grim experience possible, like a warhammer 40k game, and people would still find someone or something to thirst over. At least horror has space for that crowd to be serviced without harming anything else.
You're telling me you're attracted but scared at the same time? How to be attracted and repelled at the same time
When you see monster , you will be nervous, you will not care about his story, because now you are trying to survive on your own
But when you see the Skull Merchant, she looks like a normal person and moves in a way as if she's failed at everything in her life, It will never feel threatened, and even in the actual game, it just stalls the game for as long as possible
It does not seem to me that lust and terror are a great way to explain horror (if you notice all the characters that were scary when you are new to the game, they were not characters related to sex and lust, but they were terrifying in their appearance, strength, voices, and even their story).

Midsommar, Child's Play, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Suspiria, The Neon Demon, Little Shop of Horrors, American Horror Story
Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Shining, Maniac, Baskin, Devil's Rejects
I could keep naming films, but you should get the point. Much can be achieved with bright colors, light, beautiful clothing. It may not be your taste if your response was meant to come off as sarcastic and that is cool, but wanting a game in desperate need of ideas to be limited in ways to express a genre as diverse as horror seems like a recipe for disappointment.
If you read, you would understand that I mean those thirsty people who do not care about anything other than satisfying their thirsty desires. Because of that, Vittorio and the skull merchants appeared as a scapegoat and bait as well.
What about sprite and plague? Well, Spirit is adapted from Japanese mythology and was suitable for the game. If you focus on Spirit, you will notice that it behaves in a confused way, smiling, sad and angry. All of this is expressions on his face, and also that it does not move in an “exciting” move, but rather moves in a somewhat strange way.
the plague? It looks very distorted and holds incense to cover the smell of mold. She is of the (disgusting horror) type and even the way she moves seems to be carrying out a divine command (the entity) and the same way she moves in front of her people as well.
But all this is in the past and look what happens now

As others have said, sex appeal and horror are really closely tied. If anything, BHVR is being more inclusive than the material they are drawing from, with more female killers and eye candy males.
Oh, of course, since when was she an attractive, terrifying and frightening character? I don't find any connection between them

Terror comes in many forms. Horror is multifaceted and does not need to confirm to a rigid style guide because it is one of the few genre mediums that has always prided itself on being able to color outside the lines that other genres stick to so dogmatically. The vocal dbd community has a big issue with not wanting anything that doesn't fit in their rigid fear formulas.
Oh, of course, colorful, light, beautiful clothes, what a fright

I hope not. While Power of Two could be decent, it's just a weaker version of Bloodpact, with working on anyone is the only thing it's got going for it.
Bloodpact gives 7% speed, works within 16m, has aura reveal when injured, doesn't have a cooldown and works whether it's you or the obsession being healed.
vs
Power of Two: 5% speed, works within 12m, also gets deactivated if one gets injured, no aura reveal, has a 140-second cooldown, works on anyone BUT only if you're the one healing them, not if they heal you.
I'd much rather keep Bloodpact than Power of Two, if any of them needs a rework
I think they made the distance 12 meters so that it is not similar to the Bloodpact, and if they rework the Bloodpact, they may increase the distance from 12 to 16 meters for (Teamwork perks) and 7% speed
-
There are killers who prevent you from escaping, and you can do nothing

Its aim is to bridge the gap between (Solo Q) and (SWF), so the blindness effect does not make any sense against (SWF), but (Solo Q) It will hurt a lot

-
I don't think that's crazy. Only 25% of the generator's progress is once per game. It already has severe limitations and needs some skill. Its only strength is when you play (SWF), but that means the team doesn't have any other Items, and it's easy to pressure them

@DaddyMyers_Mori said:
Does flashbang count?
And why would you gatekeep items for new players?
New items are kinda difficult to make. They will either be useless or broken.
They excel in designing killer powers (regardless of good or bad), so it's great that they add such to the survivors.
And it does not matter if it is useless, the important thing is that there are new Items, not flashbang, which work in exactly the same way as fireworks, only a model difference
Then why oppose the idea as if they add teleportation to survivors (They are Items, not powers)
-
@Gandor said:
Don't change game to remove things like this. It would mean you would need to teleport and heal slugs if killer is walking over them (yet another BM thing, or maybe just survivor teleporting on the ground as the game does quite often). Huntress gets free hatchet hits because that's toxic T-bagging and absolutely not dodging. Both killer and survivor should be very restricted from looking up or down (they can't look down if they recently looked up) because that's also BM shaking the head at the other side etc.
Yes, players are restricted so that the Ready and Not Ready buttons cannot be pressed at the same time
No game does that. If you're crying over a survivor who shook his head up and down quickly, don't play this game.
I don't find this painful, I find it funny
-
No matter how many times you try to stop players from being hateful or bullying, they will always find a way to bully.
So do not play online games if you are sensitive to them or simply accept the fait accompli because real life is like this too

-that's how game meant to be, a horror game. if the killer successfully killed all the survivors and there's one left, there should be a low chance for him to escape, not a whole different game for just that one survivor. i thought exit game patrolling is a long boring thing but didn't know it can be exciting for some.
-i think perks like off the record can counter tunneling. other survivors can also body block the killer.
-yeah right, but it also tells your point of view distance from the ground. so we only have 3 point of view distances from the ground for these killers with various heights. for example nemesis is very tall as a giant but still when you're playing as him you see yourself with almost the same height as survivors.
The death of a survivor because the killer was lucky to have the hatch next to him. This is unfair to the survivor, and we should not make a scary killer at the expense of the health of the game
"-i think perks like off the record can counter tunneling. other survivors can also body block the killer." There is no Perk counter the killer tunnel and not all survivors SWF to protect me and perk only delays the tunnel for a little while
-
@Nemeshifu said:
greetings dear developers, these are some changes that make the game so much better in my opinion.
- if a survivor is dead on hook, he instantly dies with a hit instead of entering dying state. 💀
purpose: less moments when killer's effort is totally wasted when another survivor flashlight/pallet/... saves the dead on hook survivor => less pressure for killer players
- make perks like "off the record" "borrowed time" and "dead hard" independent of the deep wound and able to overlap each other so as not to disable second chance perks by tunneling. 🩸
purpose: making the first change balanced for survivors.
- a match ends with killer's mori on last survivor after the hatch is closed. ⏰
purpose: removing the most boring part of dead by daylight.
- no more "short", "average" and "tall" descriptions for the killer's height. every killer has a unique height value and unique point of view distance from the ground based on the eyes distance from the ground. 📏
purpose: i mean... its so painful at the start of the match to see the camera going through killer's back instead of his head, this shows that we don't actually see through killer's eyes.
-I think it is unfair for the survivor to die because the hatch was spawn right next to the killer (The end game is not boring, both parties can play mind games)
-The death of the survivor immediately by hitting him while he is on a dead hook (This encourages killers to tunnel survivors)
-Tall or Short tells you how survivors see your height
-
I don't think this perk needs a nerf, it's good, and I rarely see such a situation
It also does not guarantee victory
-

No Ds isn't useless vs blight for example,it still gives you an extra health state, that you can pair up with another endurance perk for example,or it can buy time for your teammates to bodyblock. It wastes a lot of the killers time to get hit by ds,and essentially giving you another chance at playing.Yes it doesn't give you dsitance,so?You can still use the pallets and windows to buy more time for your team, its also one of the few anti tunneling perks in the game, actively countering the most effective strategy a killer can employ, calling it a weak perk is disingenuous. As the person above said,it's not meant to give you a free escape from a chase.
Well you're saying that two perks have to be wasted to just strengthen one of them? Isn't he supposed to catch the killer on the tunnel?
It gives you two seconds to really escape from the killer, and the distance between you and the killer will be only 8 meters, and this is very bad.
I didn't see any survivors come to protect me from a killer tunneling me (not all survivors a SWF)

-"These RE Killers must make up at least 75% of my Survivor games."
This may come as a shock but these are fun killers to play.
Wesker has a moderately strong ability that helps a lot more in chase compared to all the old M1 killers. His dash also counters Shift+W play which is the bane of killers that have no movement powers.
Nemesis too is moderately strong in chase once you have whipped two different survivors. Instant pallet break is a really strong power. You can make everyone want to stop looping you so that the only strategy becomes Shift+W (to which you do not have much of an answer).
You know why Never see Trapper? It's because he's a burden to play. People just disarm your traps and be like :
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DTNZ21WP9RFO/image.png
Trapper would be "fun" if he started with at least 4 traps in hand and the rest of his traps were in the middle of the map AND bloody coil was base kit.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J779AMGBCD5O/image.png
In addition to update this killer disarming a trap should give the deep wounds effect if you are already injured.
We also need to revert the nerf somewhere from around 2018-19 where Beartraps had their hitbox reduced. Make them bigger if you need to but there should be no "walking around them".
What do we do to replace the Bloody Coil? Pick one of these options:
- Beartraps are invisible beyond 3m and slowly fade in as you get closer to the trap.
- Beartraps cannot be disarmed except with a toolbox (consuming charges) or with the sabotage skill.
The Purple trapper sack can go back to being +2 traps in hand at the start of the trial and +1 trap in the middle of the map.
These changes would make Trapper a real threat - something he just isn't right now. And that really is the problem.
Are you familiar with the streamer CMWinter? He's the Pig main. He plays very well considering he plays Pig but at the end of the day someone who is just "average" on Blight will often end up with faster downs and an equal result.
Why would you bother for "MAXIMUM EFFORT" pig when you could just play Blight and not even be stressed.
I can't wait to see Trapper set traps on all the stairs at Midwich Elementary School
-
Sometimes the killer will stand at the hatch and wait for you to close it in your face
Well, "Solo Survivor" helps me with this situation where I go and fix the generators to force the killer to close the hatch and trigger the endgame
I agree with you on all points, but this point I wanted to clarify
-
I don't find it boring, it's fun to see Perks at his fullest level. It's so satisfying and rewarding after all the effort.
Your idea will make this a boring game and there is nothing to gain because everything is ready
What then do you want all the Add-Ons ready and do not need to buy because buying them is boring?

-"As much as i agree that genrush is one of the reason some killers camp and tunnel. "
"I cannot agree that we have to touch both those topics in the same thread."
Since you agree that genrush causes tunneling; do you think gen rush is fine and Tunneling is bad?
-"Just because genrush exists does not means tunneling do not exist."
You missed the forest for the trees. We already established that Gen rushing exists and that causes killers to need to tunnel as a reaction.
If you want tunneling to stop a few things need to happen.
- Killers need some kind of base kit prevention so that they don't lose the gens as quickly as they do now. Base kit deadlock would probably work. Just change the perk by the same name to block gens for an additional 30 seconds.
- Killers need an alternative to tunneling that is more appealing. Tunneling one player out effectively gives their team a -25% debuff to everything because that potential from the team is permanently gone. If hooking a player for the first time (if no one is dead) gives -9% to everything then that is more of a penalty than Tunneling. Most survivors would want to play DBD like that because that would make generators take 122 seconds with four stacks. As a base kit change this would very likely cause Dying Light to become meta. Hooking each survivor once would give you 12+36 = 48% penalty to all actions (how do 133 second generators sound).
People love to say : just punish the killer. Well that's fine and all but the Role of killer needs to be fun AND have a chance where you feel like you can win. If those conditions are not true then the killer might stop playing DBD or switch roles.
It actually hurts the game a lot more if multiple killer mains stop playing killer and instead play survivor (tipping the scale even more).
Of course, I am punished for the mistakes of baby, Bill
What if I am good at a game while my team is bad why should I be punished for their mistakes?
-
@Gandor said:
The whilole idea is bad. The moment you make it actively worse to tunnel then not doing anything, that is exactly the moment where the game breaks and survivors will actively try to be tunneled (AKA throw themselves at killer).
The other thing is, that some level of tunneling (the thing that @Archael mentioned for example - and yes, that absolutely is tunneling according to most definitions of everyone) is totally ok and healthy for the game.
Problem is if "hardcore" tunnel is always without thinking best go-to strategy no matter the circumstances (I would argue that's our current situation). For this thing perks are actually fine solution to the problem (same way as reassurance basically solved situation after patch 6.1 where hardcore face-camping was optimal winning strategy that most killers were doing all the time).
So in my eyes the only thing that is needed to fix it is change perks (more perks like new pain res or like grim embrace/no way out that incentivize spreading hooks and making perks like DS matter again - especially against high tier killers - by e.g. draining/disabling the power for like 5s and giving hefty sprint burst to unhooked survivor) and the issue with hardcore tunnel is solved.
I don't think using Perks to combat tunneling is a good idea because some can only be obtained by paying $5 and same with camping.
And this is exploitation

I don't think it can be addressed. Most of fixes would only cause more troubles.
Fact is that current queue times suck for survivors and you want to nerf killers?
Only way to help with tunneling would be to create incentive toward spreading hooks.
BBQ was doing this, but it was nerfed. Right now there is not really a reason hooking new survivor if you have already hooked others. It gives you very little pressure and you risk Deliverance.
It might be good to make an effect by Entity that triggers when you manage to hook all survivors or something like that. Kinda like Grim Embrace (which is bad tho). If you make spreading hooks rewarding, you can counter balance it with longer hook timers to fight camping etc.
Developers currently can't straight nerf killers at this point, because they don't have enough of them. Which is kinda funny to me.
Well can you honestly tell me what is wrong with my idea? (apart from Genrush)

Well, the tunnel is an effective strategy, as you will only face 3 survivors, and this makes it much easier to pressure them
This doesn't mean anything code wise.
You need to define what is tunneling so it can be coded as a trigger for your system.
Issue is your defination will be either too vague and can be abused (it will trigger when it's not supposed to) or it will be too strict (can play around to ignore it).
So what is the tunnel from your point of view?

So, if im playing fair, and did not kill anyone before 8h so i streched the game as much as possible and did not removed one person as soon as possible, so i was not tunneling in your definition, and yet survs will get one free generator done because your idea.
Then I was tunneling or not? In one place you say no, in another you say yes.
This is a suggestion to solve the tunneling problem, not Genrush's problem
And I didn't contradict myself, maybe you didn't read it well or I wrote it badly
And let me remind you that not all problems can be fixed at once. I know that my proposal will greatly reduce tunneling, but we haven't talked about the killer side yet.
And I don't know why you're talking that way, as if the game now

@Archael said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3396272#Comment_3396272
No, it is not.
You said "tunnel" i asked You what does tunnel means and provide a situation, and then You turn back. So either You think about words You are saying or not.
Im gonna ask again.
If i hooked 3 survivors 2 times each for total of 6 hooks, and then i hooked last survivor two times in a row do that noone was killed before 8 hooks.
Was i tunneling?
And what should be the algorithm to determine what tunnel is.
You are talking about tunneling, so explain what You have in mind when saying "tunneling".
Well, the tunnel is an effective strategy, as you will only face 3 survivors, and this makes it much easier to pressure them
So the tunnel is focused on one survivor (let's say it's Bill) and trying to get him out as quickly as possible (all this once the survivors save Bill from the hook)
You say that what if all the survivors were on a hook, and Bill was put on a hook until he reached the second stage, but he did not take any Conspicuous Actionsyet, so is this considered a tunnel?
Fortunately there was a system in the PTB where he was known as "The Last Standing" where if he was down it was game over.
It can be used so that the game does not consider that you have tunnel Bill because he is (the last one standing) and you have nothing to do but kill him
