Also have to say, I did not notice any difference. Pallet Saves are rare, but they still exist and still work as before, from what I have seen. The Killer was always able to block the prompt of dropping a Pallet, if they were too close to the side you wanted to drop it from.

A pallet save bug that's never been fixed if you mash m1 while picking up and they drop a pallet on you and it nullifies the stun. Had it happen to me twice this patch

  • Well I don't know much but I do know Trapper is next for a rework now that Tricksters is done

Yeah lets remove Ghould from the game.

While we are removing Killers which are not liked by the community we should add Blight, Nurse and Wesker to it.

Oh and Stealth Killers because in Indoor maps they are way to strong…
And Insta down Killers I really dislike them…

While we at it, can we remove Trap Killers? Its not fair that they can interrupt good looping which such low level skill set ups.

    Okay for real guys…

we need to stop make posts about removing Killers under the disguise for the argument "we want more variety"

Your just being insanely petty scorched earth these killers can belong and can be tolerable with some numbers tweak unlike Ghoul who is a major outlier because of how he was designed.

Wesker is fine Blight just need some number nerfs nurse is rare so she's tolerable and your whole spiel about trap killers, insta down and stealth is just a nothing burger to fuel your take.

I am not sure what went wrong but yeah, this is a really big oversight. Its quite annoying to deal with as a survivor. Getting to the pump and having to walk at a snails pace across the map is painful because the spawns for the pump are so bad.

I think genuinely the whole spilling while running with a blood can has to be removed it's majorly destroying the fun

  • @ChucksterMainin said:

having to carry gas all the way to a generator without running is to painful with all the slow downs that work on generators. this event is so killer sided now. gl to my survivors…

    "Broad MMR" 😂

It's OK BHVR, you can call us low MMR. It's not gonna hurt our feelings.

The original BHVR post listed "high MMR" as being the top 18% of the player base. A surprisingly big bracket, tbh. I can see there being quite a big difference between players at the bottom end of that 18% compared to those at the very top.

As much as I appreciate these stats, I feel like they don't really tell us a lot. There are 42 Killers and 52 Survivors in the game at this point, can we at least get a top ten? I could have guessed most of these stats. We don't really need official stats to tell us that Sable/Kate/Feng are popular Survivors or that the usual suspects chosen by competitive Survivors are the ones that escape the most. We already know. The stats might be a little more interesting further down the rankings.

They just don't wanna hurt your feelings by calling not calling you baby mmr but seriously we have a ton of killers 42 of em we should probably get a top 10 killer rates

  • @cogsturning said:

I'd love to see the numbers including the DCs, considering half of Ghoul matches seem to have at least one.

They make a DC Rate list for Killers and Ghoul will have a 50% dc rate

  • Trickster feels so much worse even his mains agree that 4.4 made him much more worse and punishing now especially with how fast laceration decay is now

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

I dream of a shorter CD for Unknown, it's so punishing. I really want to play as them more, they are so much fun when it goes right.

it's such a simple change and it'd give them so much breathing room.

With the success of the first and how basically everyone sees unknown when it's his turn for an update I definitely expect this to happen

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

First is stronger by a large margin. With good prediction and/or aura reading, he's a real menace in close quarters. And his map traversal is pretty good for catching up after an initial hit.

Unknown isn't a very good Killer in my opinion. The attempts they've made to buff him have inadvertently made him weaker by gutting add-ons he was heavily reliant on. He's way too punishing compared to every other ranged Killer. Direct hits are meaingless, and there's zero room for error. Failing to land a UVX hit effectively resets the chase because you don't have enough time to try again before the Survivor can remove Weakened. Miss half of your hatchets as Huntress and you can still comfortably win a match. Miss half of your shots as Unknown and you'll never get a single injury. I wouldn't mind missing being so punishing, if it wasn't for the fact that misses often feel out of your control. The "bounce" of the projectile is unintuitive on a lot of DbD's geometry.

This exactly the First is way stronger the unknown due to how punishing UVX with how easy and fast it is to cleanse weakened not to mention how easy the reveal mechanic is and 3 second continuing cleanse buffer when you look away from him.

    Basically the shot comparison between

The first: You land a hit that's great you just need one more, you miss that's okay you can immediately try again with no resets.

The Unknown: you land a hit that's good just need one more: you miss that's a full reset now you need two more shots again and gotta wait for the long cooldown to be able to shoot again.

  • The problem people have with Ghoul has always been a core design issue we can tweak the numbers all we want but it's not gonna stop why people hate him he needs a full power rework.

  • @SoGo said:

Another reason why this community is the worst.

You guys saw a perk that could share stealth, a perk that gives you an uber stun and a crow based perk (granted, the haste sucked), and went, NAH, another batch of generic meta perks it is.

I don't want anyone complaining about the perks when this chapter comes out, YOU DID THIS.

Conspiracy theory Killer mains saw these perks and voted for the generic perks instead

  • I tried running the perk for a while and in the grand scheme of solo queue it just didn't really matter in most matches we all still die anyways or people got to the unhooker before me and so on

  • It would have to be Singularity

  • Nothing really changed about going against trickster except hold W is stronger now

  • @cogsturning said:

I just went through my 30-game match history. I found 6 whole people running Fast Track in my 19 survivor matches, out of 57 people (excluding myself). These were all team loses except for one tie.

In my 11 killer matches, it appeared once. I won that match.

If you want to tunnel and mori, do it. But don't blame a mediocre perk that very few people are using and act like you're a victim of circumstance. Is NOED fair? Deadlock? Batteries Included? These are all perks that passively reward the killer for survivors doing their objective.

Idk I think Fast track is just a Win harder perk? You were pretty much winning with it but you didn't really need it y'know?

  • @tjt85 said:

I feel like you could finish the sentence "I need to tunnel because…" in pretty much any era of DBD's history. Fast Track is just the latest excuse. I've see a few in play, but not so many that it would be worth changing up a play style (obviously this is just my experience. Maybe others see it in every game, I just know I certainly don't).

That said, Killers were tunnelling and slugging in all my Survivor games before Fast Track was changed. It's pretty much been the case since BHVR completely abandoned their anti-tunnel and anti-slugging changes. I think that moment basically removed any ambiguity around whether or not slugging and tunnelling are intended game play mechanics and made it clear that BHVR tacitly approve of them. Killers that tunnel and slug are playing the game as intended, debate over. I think this is why a Survivor is tunnelled out in every one of my Survivor games these days, and why slugging the entire squad is a lot more common than it was.

I need to tunnel cause they nerfed pig and I'm not even a pig main. This one's for you piggy

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

How does the killer even know if it's being ran? Survivors are being tunneled all the time regardless anyways.

Nothing has changed at all like you said, killers need to hook to get their gen regression, fast track is nothing compared to what's available on killer side.

    People stop doomposting challenge impossible.

Its pretty much just " wow these gens are going fast " it must be fast track

Ideally the maps would have only very, very few god Pallets and the rest should be unsafe Pallets which are 50/50. And to be hoenst, this is not the case for the new map, the weak Pallets are not fair either, since they are very easy for the Killer to outplay. So basically the opposite of God Pallets.

And yes, tunneling is the best way to play Killer. I have never said anything else. But I know, I am only the Survivor-Main who has no idea how Killer is played. Because it has to be like this, since I dont complain constantly how bad it is for Killer. (Since it isnt)

And nah, sorry. Your thread consists of a one-liner and a Link to an Otz-video. That people say that you are a mindless Otz-Fan with that is deserved.

Then I would gladly trade the weak pallets for decent pallets and the god pallets be removed and you however are greatly a one sided survivor main bias who doesn't see both sides enough and that is deserved.

No there is no real double standard as only time survivor can abandon in that point is if they and all other survivors are downed, on hook, escaped or already dead. Its mostly done match at that point even with hatch being open. Only thing needed to be fixed in that one is to make the abandoning option only appear after 10 seconds has gone past from the thing making the abandoning option become available. This would remove the main annoyance of them abandoning before killer gets the mori the last that they just downed and if they don't 10 seconds later the survivor can go. Its a quality of life change that should be done as currently how it works annoys one side of the player base.

Bruh that is a double standard you still have a chance for both hatch and gate yet you can just abandon and not put up with it.

If that was Killer that would be the equivalent to killer being able to abandon after the last gen pops

  • Spirit has always been 4.4 and she deserves to be 4.4 because phasing is strong for mobility and pursuing a survivor

  • Idk I don't see a reason to use it over typical perks you would normally run

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066041#Comment_4066041

    Nah, I just ignore Reinami.

But just a question - why do you people always act as if God Pallets are permanent? 3 God Pallets are gone and those cannot be used anymore, meaning that while you spent 50 seconds on that chase to remove 3 God Pallets, it does not mean that the next chases in that area will take as long, since the ressources are gone (which is completely normal DBD-gameplay… but I am the one being obvlious).

Let alone that it has never been the goal of the Killer to prevent Gens from being done, the goal of the Killer is to kill Survivors. and especially the first Gens will go fast while the last Gen can take as long as the previous Gens combined.

So focussing on that one chase which took 50 seconds is just dumb and someone like Otz should know how the game is played. But I also know that he caters to his audience which consists of players who are almost exclusively worse than him (which is no offense, since this also includes me and Otz is just very, very good at the game) and stuff like this gets a discussion going since people sometimes see it is pure gospel when he says something.

Personally I don't like when there are god pallets on a map I don't see that as skillful it's just guaranteed waste of alot of time unless your like nurse which just ignores everything with normal loops and depending on the killer you as a killer or survivor can try to outplay each other but with God pallets there is no such interaction it's just boring you have to break and sure maybe the experience gets a lil better when broken but still ain't fun in my opinion that they exist in the first place.

You say it isn't the killer job to prevent gens it's to kill then wouldn't camping and tunneling be arguably be the best way to do that? Yet I've seen you're posts to fight against those. Why? Is it because it isn't fun or just bad interaction?

Finally the Stigma of Otz. Otz is loved and appreciated by many sure maybe he's seen as gospel by some but his experience and skill has earned him some credit yet I have my own opinions I agree and disagree with Otz on some things yet whenever I agree with some takes with Otz and try to discuss the topic on the take I'm just written off as a mindless Otz fan and it really shows in these forums.

To the person who downvoted me. If you aren't just trolling I am genuinely interested as to why you have an issue with a bot replacing the killer. The OP and others claim they want this feature so it's not a "double standard" well to make it equal a bot should replace the killer.

That's a fine deal now the bot can deal with the bs

  • @Icaurs said:

    @Abbzy @Dionysusdog

The abandon feature is not for survivors to stop the killer form wasting the time. It is to stop the killer from holding the game hostage. Because that's what they were doing. Just to to be toxic. And a little toxicity is normal. But not when they are dragging it out for minutes at a time.

So why don't killers get this. THEY DID, it's called the end game collapse which I support.

Seriously if you can't handle forcing people out the exit game you nay need to consider you can't handle online games.

You can't even handle killers just wanting to leave you just want them to suffer

  • @random1543 said:

I would be fine with more killer abandon options only when they add killer bots so the match does not end

Bot does not have to be good, it does not have to use power, it just has to stop the game from just ending abruptly.

There is no double standard, if there was still no survivor bots survivors would also have very limit abandon options if any at all

That's an okay deal killers would take nobody would argue with that

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465456/abandon-feature-for-killers

While I do agree that killer should be able to forfeit once the exit gates are open, the conditions for a survivor to forfeit specifically require helplessness. Even when survivors are dancing their behinds on the exit line, killers can still sometimes nab kills. 'just leave' is part of DBD idiom for a reason.

    It's not a double standard.

Just pointing this out you can abandon when your the last survivor and when hatch is still open.

You don't have to play for hatch or the gates there is a double standard

  • I'm just gonna copy and paste Reinami response since your being oblivious

So you spend 50 seconds breaking 3 god pallets, and then another 30-40 chasing and downing that survivor, then another 15 or so to pick them up and hook them. How many seconds is that? Oh yeah, 3 gens popped.

  • @OrangeBear said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4065597#Comment_4065597

Breaking 3 god pallets puts you in a decent position for late game especially if the remaining gens are the ones in the area that pallets were broken in. Most m1 killers should be used to this kind of situation.

But if this was an actual match and you noticed survivors on the gens that you are chasing past you could interrupt them instead.

Oh wow 3 god pallets gone for 3 gens gone and no hooks yet major doubt

  • @OrangeBear said:

I would never be frustrated at being able to break all 3 god pallets in less than 50s

The fact there's 3 god pallets to begin with is atrocious not to mention the god windows

And I believe you were the guy who was for blights hug techs to be in game?

Its kinda double standart because compare to all other techs weskers hug tech is the art of preccission and skill and even when its easier on higher fps (120) its still becomes weaker and less usefull tha it is on lower fps so its totaly skill thing and it has easy counterplay just dont hug the loop if wesker is gooning around it with bound and is not dashing to you or chasing you.

Wesker was pased years just nerfed (shadow nerfs like these bug fixes that turn of his techs that make him viable on higher mmr and against skilled opponents) and even when being called perfect killer by many he is no longer a-tier and is just getting the smoked, shame behavior shame.

What are you talking about? I want blight nerfed let alone let him keep hug techs

  • This is why i was hoping if Devs would listen and make Cut Thru u Album basekit a real reward for getting up the ranks and we could get 5% haste at S rank but no they just wipe it out and reworked it for whatever reason they have yet to explain.

But if people are so adamant on keeping him 4.4 then he at least need massive buffs to his laceration decay and Knive Count

I've only noticed it on the new map really. But it is super weird.

Yeah it's definitely true on the new map but I think also on others

  • Hate to be the bearer of bad news but those are all classified as bugs and unintended by the devs and they have been fixed so this is how wesker is supposed to be

  • I played for 6 hours yesterday on the new map and it was just so painful to play with Trickster those god windows forced me to run bamboozle or crowd control.

Traversing the map felt like a walking simulator with how big the map is and how slow we move was frustrating

How easy it was to break LOS and the short laceration decay kept ruining all my work and build up with knives and the constant need to reload not to mention main event is much rarer now.

Against decent survivors it was impossible to win the only time I thrived was when survivors didn't know the map and that was rare

  • @Rogue11 said:

Yea people are way overreaching on the doom posting over 4.4ms. Huntress has always been 4.4 and is one of the best examples of a balanced killer that rewards skill on both sides. I greatly prefer the more skillful version of trickster we have now over being walked down and back massaged with knives.

The only reason Huntress works as a 4.4 is because she's easier to play and her lethality is way better then tricksters.

Her hatchets hitbox is 2x the size of the hatchet model which is why they call her hatchets dump truck hatchets. Remember when they actually refined huntresses hatchet hitbox and everyone lost there minds until it got reverted? I do.

You reload way less often with her then trickster, she's actually playable on controller unlike trickster, no worries about decay etc I can go on and on

  • You completely ignore all the feedback we have given you about new trickster from the ptb and now you rework his addons that were gonna be decent with him like purple addon Cut Thru You album.

I'm throwing in the towel Trickster will be worthless untill you buff his move speed and give him more knives with increased time it takes for laceration to decay

Imo, the only character from Infinite that would really work as a Killer is Atlas/Frank Fontaine, specifically when he is in his final boss form from BioShock 1. Every other character are either just too much of a regular enemy to feel like they fit as a Killer or cannot be adapted properly without requiring too many liberties to be taken, in order to work in DBD. (I'm looking at you Songbird.)

I know nobody could really fit as killer as I was thinking more of just a survivor chapter with Booker and Elizabeth

  • The biggest problem I'm having with this map are the Windows in the stores they are way to strong and need to be removed.

There's to many available doorways to cutoff LOS and the size of the map feels awful and

Would love to dig into the specifics here. What about it feels imbalanced to you?

huge to traverse as a 110 killer like Trickster

  • @ThatRyanB said:

One thing I'd love to dig into more here is the discussion around The Trickster's movement speed, as I think the "why" is an important piece of this.

Is there anything specific you've encountered while playing The Trickster that makes the 4.4 m/s speed feel frustrating?

Way slower to traverse the map, slower to catch up to survivors or slower to get a good angle to throw knives before we lose line of sight. Hold W is very strong against him.

I just don't know what the logic is between judging what's too strong for a killer he has to be made slower?

A ranged killer like Trickster with no movement abilities gets put at 4.4 yet Ghoul who gets a free Injure and has insane mobility gets to be 4.6? The logic just makes no sense.

  • Nope I would like that but I doubt it

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 23
