I'll only accept a BioShock chapter, if we also get a sequel chapter with Eleanor Lambs from BioShock 2's evil ending as a Killer.

A Big Sister killer would work much better as her own character, especially with how agile they are and all the different Adam abilities they possess. Relegating her to be nothing more than just that of a legendary skin for characters that are only similar in shape and stance, feels like complete squandered potential imo.

I'll only accept if we get Threequel where there's a BioShock Infinite chapter

The Killer is still humanoid and has the proportions of a humanoid Killer. But yeah, a hybrid Spider would be possible.

    Yeah hybrid route is possible

If they make the killer a Big Daddy (which is the obvious choice), I don't think they would be able to make a Big Sister skin since the difference is size would be notable. We could get something like the Alpha Series or even maybe a smaller version of Songbird inspired on the older concept art for Infinite like the Mothman.

Basically this it would have to be BioShock 2 big daddy maybe with Subject Delta as the Killer

Basically this. I think that most people who say that Trickster got nerfed hard are not really good with him and see the point that his movement speed is reduced as the biggest factor. And since this is indeed the biggest complain, you can assume that people who complain about the changes are not Trickster Mains and are in general not that good with him.

So yes, if you are good with Trickster, you will be happy about the changes, if you are not that good, you will struggle. And I am actually fine with that, I like it when Killers are not dumbed down and that you get really good rewards if you are good with a certain Killer, because you put in time and effort to learn them. I am certainly not one of those people, I am not good with Trickster so the changes for me will be bad, but luckily there are over 40 other Killers to play. And so in the end it is fine that not every Killer in the game is for everyone to play.

That's funny cause I've been watching Top Trickster mains like Taffie for example on Twitch and Youtube since PTB launched and they all say the same thing.

4.4 is a massive nerf and very boring with Hold W now

Laceration Decay is to quick and punishing and the less knives he has makes it even more so.

But I geuss he'll just stay the same you'll just see him once every 50 games since nobody new will pick him and his mains will barely tolerate him.

I dont even think that Arachnophobia is the main reason why no Spider Killer is added. I think a bigger problem are the proportions of a spider. Spiders are not tall, but very long, basically the opposite of humanoid Killers. You would probably have either a lot of clipping issues on the map and really wonky animations or the Spider would need to be so tiny that it is basically the size of Chucky.

    Both not ideal.

Well that argument doesn't really hold up much anymore cause I think the Grimoire killer is gonna be big and spider like with those spider legs.

They could bring a spider like killer like that Jurogumo people been talking about

  • Just an unfortunate reality for Krasue she decent strength but she's not unique enough so she's just not fun to play as or against I just expect her to be reworked down the line.

  • @MoZo said:

hoping for Jason (i know so original). the timing seems more perfect than ever considering Fortnite and Call of Duty just got Jason in october last year. the Jason Universe was created around May 2024 and given the timeline for BHVR to get licensed chapters in the game (2 years) it lines up very well for the 10th anniversary chapter.

While I'm okay with Jason coming to DBD I just don't know what he could bring to the table that wouldn't make him boring and end up like Krasue where nobody plays him.

Cause lore wise he's this absolute tank that uses stealth and a variety of weapons to kill people.

So the only unique thing I could see that they could do for Jason to make him unique is he has access to a variety of weapons with unique abilities to them and for survivor to make it interesting for them they also have weapons they can use on jason just to slow him down.

Was actually having a conversation with my team about this very topic today and looking about what we can do differently.

The problem with the old system of dev updates, was they were a massive time sync, the writing process, review process and then the translation process (we have to allow 7 days on average for that), meant it was unsustainable for a PTB, as often things change from a PTB so things were then out of date. It's partly why we use the stream format which is a snappier pace and you learn the information directly from the Designers (in regard to live balance changes etc). We did the same with Discord Staging events with Designers etc as we were able to share more information and answer questions directly on it.

This is not to say we won't do anything like that going forwards, but we're looking at different formats and maybe not quite so detailed for a PTB….then potentially putting out something prior to content being live.

What I really want to do, is give more context to why things are changed, why something is nerfed, why something is buffed - that might help players understand why particular changes are made. Sometimes that will be data related, if we're seeing something problematic in the data, we often will need to make a change that might not be popular for example, on the other side, it could be based around the feedback we've had or the gameplay that we've seen. So many different reasonings go into a design change and I think it's more important to explain that information than do a dev update about what's coming a week from now for example.

(all this to say, we will be doing something but it will likely be in a different format from what we have done before)

Since it's only like a week away from the launch I'm sure the changes and tweaks are set in stone by now can't you guys just give a really short and rough summary or just a Dev comment on the main stuff people are focused on the Ptb like just Trickster and for example

"We are aware Trickster was a bit under tuned in the ptb therefore were buffing him look for the number changes on the live stream"

That way you can just save the minor stuff like bug fixes and number tweaks for the live stream.

  • Pretty sure that's how it works you get what you want but in a bad kinda way

  • Yes devs bring BioShock to dbd

What were the devs thinking giving survivors 15 seconds of Endurance during the endgame? It’s basically a free escape. 15 seconds of running at 4.4 m/s with invulnerability... I’ve already lost so many games to this unfair situation. A survivor can literally cross half the map with a speed boost and protection, and there’s nothing you can do. Even if you switch targets, they just use it to bodyblock you. The endgame was already survivor-sided, and this just makes it even more difficult and unfair for killers.

Monkeys paw endgame endurance is back to 10 seconds but early to mid game endurance is now 20 seconds do you accept?

This is moving goal posts. I never said anything about how frequent a ghoul is in enraged mode.

When i play ghoul i am only usually enrage vaulting against inexperienced players. When it's steam players with high hours, they know what to do, they force me to break the pallet.

I am also never getting enraged vaulted by ghouls myself either because i know what to do.

You said "outside of these conditions" the condition is ghoul being enraged which an average ghoul always is enraged there is no moving goalposts your expecting players to use counterplay that rarely exists so it can't be used often

  • Just fix all his bugs contact his wife (Zmpixie) and she'll tell you them all

  • The most fair balancing they can do for next patch is

-1 nemesis zombie and a buff to his tentacle

    Oni receives a Nerf

That's all they need to do.

Yeah, exactly. I dont mind if Killers are easy to play, but the easy to play Killers should not be the strongest Killers at the same time.

Ghoul is probably Wraith-level of difficulty for me (which is basically Bing Bong Hit), but while Wraith is completely fine for the difficulty he has, Ghoul is miles above that.

The ideal Killers are Killers like Wesker or Billy IMO, those who dont have such a high skill floor, but have a high skill ceiling. Wesker is also mentioned in the video and IMO he is the gold standard, you can pick him up relatively quickly, but once you are at this stage, you can learn so much more to get really good with him. And as Survivor I can also appreciate it, if someone puts in lots of effort into Wesker.

But I dont see it much with Ghoul, most Ghoul-players I encounter clearly struggle with other Killers, but the bloated kit and low effort of Ghoul just helps them massively.

Exactly which is why I think ghoul needs to either be reworked to make him take more skill to play for his strength level or be toned down to fit his easy killer design.

I see Ghoul all the time. The new Vecna though, seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. Almost as though all the Ghouls tried him for a week and have now returned to Kaneki.

I think the reason is Survivors have adjusted to the First the counterplay is fairly understandable for the average player unlike the "counterplay" of the Ghoul.

While the First is strong he requires more effort, Aiming and knowledge on Survivor pathing and prediction. While Ghoul is straightforward simpler and easier while being stronger then the First.

  • @ImWinston said:

    • I'm shocked by only one thing: yes, Kaneki is very strong and truly deserves his "S" tier, but he's still weaker than Blight and Nurse. Why does everyone (including Devs) focus on him and do nothing for the other two killers who are truly problematic? The only counter to Nurse is to pray to God she's not good with her power... it's not normal. I've gone up against "good" Kanekis, obviously he got his down, but I still managed to run a "decent" chase for 20-30 seconds. Against a good Nurse, there's literally nothing you can do. Yes, okay, feints, going to the edge of the map, taking unpredictable routes, hiding line of sight... but I assure you, even these tactics don't work against a good Nurse.

The only thing you can really do for Nurse at this point is a complete rework changing her ability into something else entirely but since shes a killer people very rarely see these days Devs don't have any priority on her.

Blight is a killer that requires more effort then nurse and ghoul but is still very strong that people realize he could use some simple changes.

Finally Ghoul is so hard focused on by everyone is because Ghoul is a very easy and simple killer to use and super strong and is very common to see in matches

  • It should just be an option

  • @OrangeBear said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060579#Comment_4060579

So you're saying that kaneki's are constantly enrage vaulting every pallet? Not in my experience or any gameplay i watch. It's around 0-3 times a match. Especially since the pallet density update, you end up having to break a lot of pallets as ghoul.

Then your facing the bad ghouls an average ghoul is always in enraged state during a chase

  • @SoGo said:

I like the first one more, but I would like it to be more "biblically accurate angel" like.

Mainly, I don't think we should ever see this killer's face. Obstruct it with rings/halos/wings.

    That is my opinion.

I'm hoping when they make skins for them they get really creative and add like various god representations like for example your biblically accurate angel

  • @OrangeBear said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4059812#Comment_4059812

The difference in outcomes is the pallet being dropped and subsequently broken. As i've explained before, because the enraged vault is conditional, pallets are useful against ghoul as long as you drop it outside of those conditions. If you drop the pallet and go down to enraged vault, you wasted a pallet.

I wouldn't mind if they nerfed this aspect of his kit either by increasing cooldown or by reducing enraged vault speed. I don't think he should be 4.4m/s though, i think that would just make him a worse legion.

The condition of enrage vault is being enraged which a average ghoul will be 95% of the time because getting a grab attack is brain dead easy because it's hit scan auto aim.

You expect us to use this when outside of these conditions yet as I have stated before that rarely happens. Currently the best options are either removing scamper on ghoul cause it's far to problematic or increasing cooldowns and lowering ghoul down to 4.4

  • Nope he's still miserable to play on as controller please just give a soft aim assist for controller users when aiming

Yup that Puffalope video shows how bad the laceration decay delay nerf really hurts Trickster along with being 4.4 m/s. You lose maybe 2 mind games and you suddenly have to hit 4 more knives. And you don't even get back to current LIVE delay with the best addon for it. You have to use BOTH to get back to live.

Fr we have less knives and shorter laceration time it's very rough your always needing to reload when your about to get an injured but you lose 4 laceration bars when you reload when you trying to catch back up its just a mess of a rework.

Just bring the style meter without all of the nerfs.

  • I know once Trickster comes to live alot of people will change there tune about trickster being strong when going against decent survivors

Cause theres already people testing the average chase time with new Trickster and the average chase time is 2-3 mins check out these vids they explain why new trickster is nerfed instead of it being a buff

This has been a thing they've added on to powers even before they added the anti-camp feature into the game. Artist is the first killer I remember not being able to use their power around a hooked survivor. I do not think letting those poorly thought out changes through last year would have stopped the devs from doing this either.

Well yeah that's true it's just Devs are just gonna be going down this route even harder now for future killers and updating old killers like Bubba, Billy, Nurse etc with it

  • @OrangeBear said:

You are supposed to go down eventually.

It's not lose-lose. It's choosing between two outcomes where one is better than the other.

The outcomes is both death niether option even buys you more time your just going down because he has quick recoverys and is 4.6.

Maybe if he was 4.4 and had longer cool downs when canceling then we could buy some more time buy as of right now no.

  • @Crowman said:

BHVR needs to pick one, the anti-facecamp meter or the turning killer powers off when near the hook. There's no reason both need to exist in the game and the turning off of killer powers is clunky because mult-floor maps exist.

Im geussing this is the consequence of not letting the Anti-tunnel/Anti-camp through Devs just went okay you lost Power privileges if you wanna tunnel or camp you gotta m1 only no power.

  • @MoZo said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4059365#Comment_4059365

there’s 2 VERY big differences between Ghoul and Huntress.

    • Ghoul is 4.6 and Huntress is 4.4, meaning that it’s better to greed and fake the pallet drop because it will take her longer to catch back up to you while you’re looping back around. but Ghoul will just catch back up before you make it to the pallet.
    • Ghoul suffers very little from canceling his leap charge up, you can tap the button as Ghoul for a fraction of a second and on the survivor pov it looks like you’re going to use power. which is something good Ghoul players already do to force the survivor into greeding the pallet and result in them getting hit. Huntress has a very clear and reasonable time to pull out her hatchet and put it away, giving the survivor a reward for successful greed and baiting the huntress to m2 at the pallet.

Even Trickster got turned to 4.4 and he's arguably weaker in his rework form and he's definitely weaker then Ghoul.

Like Ghoul and Blights cost for there insane power mobility is going to be turned into 4.4 when there going to be tweaked in the future.

  • @OrangeBear said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4059361#Comment_4059361

If they're waiting for you to drop the pallet then just don't drop it. It's like huntress. Even if you go down anyway, it's a better outcome.

Me as ghoul if you don't drop it: Cancels and m1 you.

It's a lose lose situation if you drop it he gets you if you don't he has fast cancel and attack recovery he can just get you still.

  • @Mandy said:

It is intentional to reduce the autoaim

Cool now give him more nerfs he's still the most hated killer in the game

  • Just give the killer the option to abandon like survivors have

  • @ImWinston said:

    • I would have preferred something more "artistic", even a VERY BANAL T-shirt with the survivor's face (I don't know, it would make me laugh)... or a fluorescent green recolor (I'm just saying the first thing that comes to mind) of the killer's basic weapon. These badges are really "meh."🤣

There used to be a legacy skin killers and Survivors had they could just repurpose that as a p100 reward

praying for the day billy and bubba no longer instadown with their chainsaw when near a hooked survivor🙏🏾

I think it'll just be can't use chainsaw near hooked survivor

  • There does seem to be a disturbing pattern lately of Killers can no longer use your power near a hooked survivor.

I expect older killers will get the same treatment when they get tweaked in the future

They basically made fog vials a pre runners dream if you know the killers coming your direction pop fog and pre run but there pretty much useless in chase.
