If a survivor sees a blocked exit gate switch, then they will just leave right after they open the gates because they know the that the killer has Blood Warden. This effectively brings us back to 60 seconds while having the same problems in my previous comments.

Honestly, Blood Warden is really strong when it works out (as seen on the video). I know that looks like a very rare scenario, but keep in mind that survivors don't know that you have the perk until it activates.

How about this? This adds more consistency to the perk, which is the only I think is missing from it! :)

    Blood Warden:

Death awaits for fleeing survivors. When at least one of the exit gates are opened, upon hooking a survivor, the Entity will block both exit gates until 40/50/60 seconds have elapsed within the collapse timer. Survivors cannot escape through the exit gates while they are blocked and they will have their auras revealed to the killer whenever they are within the exit gate area.

Take Note: I said "block both exit gates until 40/50/60 seconds have elapsed within the collapse timer"

Well technically isn't that the exact same thing? The perk can't even activate until the gates have been opened and the EGC has started, so its current 60 second timer and "until 40/50/60 seconds have elapsed within the collapse timer" are "almost" the same thing. The only difference being that its time would negate the slow down from a hooked or downed survivor.

That still wouldn't really prevent them from just hiding and that still leaves a lot of time on the EGC for it not to really matter much.

Exactly that design approach is exactly why the game ended with so many survivor friendly perks and tools, which got abused by well playing survivor teams. The game is hard to balance for both sides as long as this design idea get pushed too much.

    @Blueberry

The lack of information solo survivor have is sometimes really frustrating. When I play solo survivor I get farmed, not saved from the hook before second phase, because everybody assumes somebody else is going for the save, experience NOED even though I destroyed at least two or three dull totems etc. Of course you can say it's hard mode, and you have to be more selfish. But really not everybody is into that. And at one point, you will start to stay away from it and end up playing the game less, than you would like.

"The lack of information solo survivor have is sometimes really frustrating."

I actually really like this part of it. Makes the game more tense from surprises and things you're not expecting. More scare factor.

"When I play solo survivor I get farmed, not saved from the hook before second phase, because everybody assumes somebody else is going for the save,"

I strictly play solo and I don't seem to have this issue. This happens to me maybe once out of ever 30 games. This could be because of what rank you're playing at so the survivors aren't as experienced maybe. This improves as you get higher.

"experience NOED even though I destroyed at least two or three dull totems etc"

NOED is annoying and I don't like it either but I probably die to NOED like once every 15 games, if that. I just plan my escape route when the last gens about to pop.

"and you have to be more selfish. But really not everybody is into that"

I'm assuming you mean making lots of saves here. I save all the randos and it seems fine to me.

Idk I just don't experience most these things. Even if we lose I depip probably less than 10% of the time and even that's being generous. I even think it's still too easy to pip on survivor and killer alike.

  • I get peoples arguments that not all SWF groups are necessarily good. However, at rank 1 they almost always are a nightmare alpha squad. Those groups just goofing around and making stupid saves for each other are generally at lower ranks. I can also tell they're SWF because you see the same people over and over coming into your lobbies with each other multiple times back to back.

  • "In my opinion, your question has been discussed many times before, since the release of the opportunity to play in the SWF and I really do not want to list all the reasons again"

Just hit some quick base points for me

"because someone alone does not understand and has not made conclusions for himself for a long time"

You imply I don't understand and then imply I have not made conclusions for myself. That is a contradiction. If I haven't made a conclusion for myself then how would you know I don't understand it?

You presume to know a lot about me just because I have a high post count. That's quite presumptuous.

People have different reasons for coming to the same conclusions which is why I wanted to know yours. If you are unwilling to explain your opinions or listen to anyone else's opinion that is extremely close minded and quite an egotistical stance.

"The question I created in the discussion concerns the other and is only indirectly related to yours."

Your topic is created on a base assumption that you are deeming absolute and anyone who could disagree or even JUST wanting to understand is wrong. I wouldn't call the core basis of your entire topic "indirect".

My question is quite on topic of the discussion.

The literal topic of your entire discussion is "I think the developers really don't care about the solo survivors" and I just asked why you think that.

You are quite defensive and I'd just like you to be a little more open minded to other ideas so that we can have discussions in a discussion forum because after all, it's called "General Discussion", not "Echo Chamber for my Thoughts".

  • Yeah I've been seeing this and just running up to the killer to suicide. I've even been seeing some Fogwhisperers doing it off stream to derank on purpose.

  • I strictly play solo and prefer it that way. It's scarier, more challenging and I don't feel required to save people if it's too risky.

Sorry, I do not want to discuss this.

Actually, I wrote everything I wanted.

You care so passionately about a topic that you made a thread to get their attention to it and ask why it hasn't been addressed but you aren't even willing to say WHY you think so?

Well I gave you a chance to get someone to join your cause and you declined so that's a downvote from me. I was genuinely willing to hear you out. Posting in "General Discussion" but not wanting to discuss anything is pretty pointless.

Huntress doesn’t rely on sound to hit people though. Spirit relies HEAVILY on sound and scratch marks and unless you can predict exactly where survivors are then you are just gonna waste your ability.

Let’s say you are going against good survivors, they aren’t going to run and leave scratch marks. You use your ability while they aren’t injured, you won’t find them...you have nothing to look for other than a pure prediction that will probably be wrong.

At pallet loops it is better to watch survivors and see what their move is going to be.

If the playstyle works for you then that’s great, I personally just can’t play by using my ability all the time.

"Huntress doesn’t rely on sound to hit people though. Spirit relies HEAVILY on sound and scratch marks and unless you can predict exactly where survivors are then you are just gonna waste your ability."

The reference I was making with Huntress was in regards to running them down with an M1 not using their powers, so the sound reference is irrelevant in the scenario I'm talking about.

"Let’s say you are going against good survivors, they aren’t going to run and leave scratch marks. You use your ability while they aren’t injured, you won’t find them...you have nothing to look for other than a pure prediction that will probably be wrong."

They start sprinting as soon as they see you so you have a start. From there you are running on breathing (it's slight but there), watching grass/reeds move and predicting their movements which is the primary way. It hasn't failed me yet at rank 1 regularly.

"At pallet loops it is better to watch survivors and see what their move is going to be."

    I agree

"If the playstyle works for you then that’s great, I personally just can’t play by using my ability all the time."

Is this in rank 1 games you are talking about?

  • I'm not really seeing the same issue. I've probably still escaped more through the hatch or doors as the last survivors left than I've died in that scenario.

Most the people I see fail just go at it wrong. They bum rush the door instead of waiting for the right moment.

Also, the killer ping ponging from door to door is extremely dependent on RNG. Sometimes the doors are close and sometimes they're on the complete opposite side of the map and get basically get a free escape. It goes both ways.

Judging by the number of your posts on the forum, you should understand this. If not, then I see no reason to discuss what was done 1000 times before me.

If you weren't actually going to give some reasons then what was the point in responding?

Instead of prejudging my opinions how about you actually give me some points and we can talk about them.

  • I'll bite. What exactly is wrong with the solo survivor experience?

  • These really are terrible changes.

I mean if they are waiting it out that means they are not doing anything that allows you ample time to find someone i run it and i think it works a lot more than people credit it for but again thats my opinion. It does its job which is to either force the survivors to waste time or run towards you i honestly like the perk as it is.

"I mean if they are waiting it out that means they are not doing anything that allows you ample time to find someone"

This isn't the case. Against good survivors you aren't finding anyone if they aren't trying to do gens.

"force the survivors to waste time"

The time they waste here is irrelevant because the killer isn't gaining anything out of the time because he isn't finding anyone.

Yes you can find someone and make use of that time against potato survivors but I'm referencing if you're going against good survivors that know what they're doing. Finding survivors that are trying to do an objective is much easier than finding survivors not doing objectives that are just creeping around the outside of the map.

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

I actually like Corrupt intervension the way it is i dont really think it needs to be changed and even the suggestion you posted is not really going to be that good id rather they keep corrupt the same maybe make it last a little longer other than that i think its fine.

If it was better more people would run it, they don't. There's a reason for this. The time it lasts is pretty irrelevant so even if they increased it to 3 minutes it would still be bad because the time it lasts isn't the issue. The time it lasts doesn't matter because good survivors will simply do nothing and wait it out. It essentially just keeps you in a waiting lobby for another 2 minutes before the game can actually start.

    • they don't have the rights to scream but only the mask, therefore, if it were a chapter, map and survivor would be original, has a half license ever been released? no, leatherface for example was released on its own even though they could have made an original map and survivor
    • who will buy the dlc from the store of steam will get an exclusive dress for ghostface, remember chapters in which the exclusive dress was given to the killer? no, in the complete chapters the bonus suit has always been given to the survivor
    • there are no leaks referring to a map or to a survivor in the dev build, even if it was an old build, at least the survivor model, or its perks, or the offer of the map, or even the name of the survivor, would be due to it to be, but no
    • in game files there are no folders referring to a new survivor, not even audio, nothing
    • and then there is "peanits" that denies that they said that chapter means "map, survivor and killer" remembering also that "chapter" also means a chapter with only one character
    • ash's achievements are called "surv_chapter_12" and until now, in all released chapters, achievements called "killer_chapter" also correspond to achievements called "surv_chapter", so if ash is the survivor of chapter 12, the missing achievements will be those of ghostface that is: "killer_chapter_12"

the evidence that it is a chapter with only the killer there are, it depends how much you are informed about the matter, and how much you know how character licenses work

"they don't have the rights to scream but only the mask, therefore, if it were a chapter, map and survivor would be original, has a half license ever been released? no, leatherface for example was released on its own even though they could have made an original map and survivor"

There is zero evidence that they don't have the rights to Scream. This is purely your speculation.

"who will buy the dlc from the store of steam will get an exclusive dress for ghostface, remember chapters in which the exclusive dress was given to the killer? no, in the complete chapters the bonus suit has always been given to the survivor"

We have no confirmed exclusive dress for Ghostface. These are leaks and speculation. Those outfits could very well just be purchasable.

"there are no leaks referring to a map or to a survivor in the dev build, even if it was an old build, at least the survivor model, or its perks, or the offer of the map, or even the name of the survivor, would be due to it to be, but no"

We normally wouldn't have any leaks at all yet. The only reason we even got the killer leak is because they messed up. The "normal" time we would get map or survivor leaks hasn't even arrived yet because it's too far out. The leak only showed 1 perk for Ghostface so are we going to say he only comes with 1 perk? No, that would be stupid.

"in game files there are no folders referring to a new survivor, not even audio, nothing"

This is because we are still way too far out from its release for anything to be there yet.

"and then there is "peanits" that denies that they said that chapter means "map, survivor and killer" remembering also that "chapter" also means a chapter with only one character"

He said that "Chapter" could mean either one, which is NOT a confirmation that it will indeed be only one character. It is simply rectifying an incorrect interpretation that was being used for the word "Chapter".

"ash's achievements are called "surv_chapter_12" and until now, in all released chapters, achievements called "killer_chapter" also correspond to achievements called "surv_chapter", so if ash is the survivor of chapter 12, the missing achievements will be those of ghostface that is: "killer_chapter_12""

This is because of a change in terminology in reference to what Peanits corrected. The terminology used to be different. This is also your speculation, not evidence.

"the evidence that it is a chapter with only the killer there are, it depends how much you are informed about the matter, and how much you know how character licenses work"

The most evidence is that it is a full chapter with killer, survivor and map. If you are informed about the matter and understand how character licenses work this is clear.

Ah, I see what you are saying now, but to play devil's advocate, What's going to stop survivors from waiting out the timer? Wouldn't this cause more camping because the only useful thing survivors can do during BW is try to save their teammates?

That is my one worry for this iteration of the perk.

How about if you hook someone before the gates are opened you can get the 60 second block on them and if you hook another person after the gates are open it blocks the exit like normal for 60 seconds.

So essentially the same perk we have now, but it can ALSO proc on the gate switches prior to them being opened as well. There would be no refreshing effect, just the possibility of once each.

120 seconds may sound like a lot, but keep in mind how situational it is. If you don't hook someone specifically in those time frames you may get absolutely nothing out of the perk and you were down a slot all game. You may also ONLY get a hook before or after the gates are open so you only get 60 seconds worth.

  • @Frozenscum said:

And dead, and sacrificed. And debuff dynamically grows when less ppl alive.

Tbh, i'm little confused, you seems can totally read and write in English, yet you dont see difference between our points of view at Thana, which are clearly seen. Don't see as offence, but I feel like you just prefer your own version, so just fooling around. I dont mind, keep yours, its your thread.

Well to be honest alot of what you've written has been in broken English. I didn't say that because I didn't want to be offensive. There have been many structural and grammatical errors which made it hard to understand what you were saying.

I understand your point on the perk though and I think it's a good idea.

  • This type of change has been suggested a lot already. It ruins the survivor diversity as you'd be forced to run the survivor with the better ultra rare perk.

An easier solution without buffing or nerfing is map reworks. You could fix a lot of the games problems just by fixing the map designs.

  • @Frozenscum said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/481440#Comment_481440

Mate, really, percentages are not a matter of discussion, its just numbers which can be adjusted.

Basic difference between your point and mine is how Thana works:

When you have dead/sacrificed/dced survivor - your version applies constant debuff to all other survivors and its not good, especially dced part. I had numerous 3v1 games against Thana perk as surv and we managed to win pretty good part of them. Why should I have debuff for someone beeing ragequitter?

My version does what perk should do - slows the game, debuff is severe enough to be worth get rid of it and it totally in alive survivors control. You decide either you heal and remove it or work through it on gens.

So just don't count DC's then?

  • Biggest mistake I see Spirits make is not using their phasing enough. You should very rarely be running someone down unless you just caught them in a bad spot away from pallets or came out of phase and you're really close.

You'll get a lot of free hits by fake phasing at a pallet and they'll just jump over into you or leave the pallet far enough to get a hit. This generally only works at higher ranks though as low ranks just sprint away and don't really think about if she's phasing or not.

BBQ and MYC are godlike on her. You will ping pong from hook to down over and over.

The scratch marks will get you in the general area, but it's ALL about the hearing and predicting survivor movements. Get good headphones and listen carefully.

But I stand firm on what I said before, I didn't want you warned for it "like a warning on your profile" I just wanted you to be aware of this and if it was addressed to be "verbally warned" for it. Which is why I did that instead of reporting you for it, which if they took it seriously WOULD of gotten you warned.

I can agree it wasn't the right way to go about it and i'm sorry for that. Perhaps I worded it that way to not induce a fight out it, I don't expect you to accept my apology but it's there for you to consider.

To make it clear, I have nothing against you @Blueberry I just didn't agree with the bump posts that you were making on a post that kept being ignored. Hell, mine has finished its cycle of comments on it and I will leave it finished. I do hope we can be civil about this and move on as it wasn't my intention to personally attack you.

I do care about bleed effect, sometimes I run Bloodhound+Sloppy just to be able track ppl easier.

Thana - hmm, I thought I did pretty clear description. It should work like its now - for each injured survivor debuff for all actions, except healing, applied. But its dynamic.

4 ppl alive - 7.5% debuff per injured up to 30%

3 ppl alive - 10% debuff per injured up to 30%

2 ppl alive - 15% debuff per injured up to 30%

1 ppl alive - 30% debuff per injured up to 30%

Thus, no matter how much ppl alive you can achieve max effectiveness of perk at any given time during trial. Nowdays as less ppl alive - perk becomes worse and worse.

Mad Grit - exposed effect will have 1 time use in fact. As soon as someone will be hit - you will never hit anyone again during carry. Is it worth to waste perk slot for a single down or maybe even none at all? While having debuff will not aware other survs and will put them in choice - getting debuff and get some points or maybe wiggle save or just wait and unhook.

Predator - Urban Evasion counters walking part since you crouch at walking speed.

"I do care about bleed effect, sometimes I run Bloodhound+Sloppy just to be able track ppl easier."

That's a fair point, but only for meme's or low ranks. No one in red ranks is legitimately doing that build as it isn't seriously viable for competitiveness in those ranks.

    Thanata -

This looks like basically what I had listed.

Increased percentages, doesn't affect healing and works on injured/dead/dc'd players.

    Mad Grit -

I could see the debuff working then, it would just need to be MUCH more severe than your previous one.

And before you say "but why did you put peanits in your post" because I just want his thoughts on it, I wasn't trying to get you warned for it.

    You can relax.

You literally came in here to complain about the "bumps" on my post...i mean common..really? That's quite petty and is why it would be annoying to most anyone.

"if I actually cared I would of reported the post"

You called attention to a forum moderator to come look at my post by @ ing him..that''s basically reporting my discussion and your being coy about that.

"And before you say "but why did you put peanits in your post" because I just want his thoughts on it, I wasn't trying to get you warned for it."

To say this is being disingenuous. You quoted the forums guidelines so you knew very clearly what is and isn't against Terms of Service, so to say you "just wanted his thoughts on it" is a complete cop out. You know exactly what you were doing. There was no "thoughts" to give. It's quite black and white.

Coulrophobia - it wont be broken, we have Sloppy which applies 20% debuff + bleeding frequency and it works no matter where you are healing. Noone ever said its broken, vica versa ppl say it should be buffed. Also to prevent them combined be too strong they just should not stack.

Thanatophobia - I checked your post before writing mine. Your suggestion a bit different, when you have died/sacrificied/dced survivor - debuff could not be removed by other survivors. My version keep properties same as now - you have debuff only when someone injured, but it maintains its numbers during trial.

Predator - hardly will be broken, should be tweaked ofc for walking ones, like you can see them as last 3 seconds of running ones for said 3 seconds only.

Beast of Prey - dunno, I see this perk as hunting (since from Huntress, sigh) one, you're prey, you've been hunted, you're terrified, you seems to see hunter everywhere, you can barely hear your footsteps behind your heartbeat. Doc has such effect as addon, doesnt seem ppl afraid it too much.

Mad Grit - its pretty strange perk as it is now. Giving it exposed ability probably too much, you can just go for Mad Grit, Agitation, Grasp and Enduring/PWYF, and run around with someone on shoulder oneshotting ppl.

Maybe some debuff for 60/90/120 seconds when you hit someone when carrying surv, like 50% to actions speed.

    Coulrophobia -

I see what you're saying. However even slower healing than we already have I feel would be highly hated by most the community. I'm all for the game needing to be slowed down more but I'd rather do it in another way. Also this change would basically just overshadow Sloppy. The extra bleeding affect almost no one cares about. It would just replace it.

    Thanatophobia -

Sorry I'm a little confused by your description. Could you explain it again for me?

Predator - This would give scratch marks on walking and running. There wouldn't be a counter and they'd have no way to be stealthy. It just seems too strong to me.

Beast of Prey - I see what you're saying thematically, I just see the removal of the red stain already being strong enough that it wouldn't need anything else. This could be tested in a PTB though.

    Mad Grit -

No one would run that combo and try and run people down, that wouldn't make any sense. Even with all those perks you could still outrun the killer with someone wiggling on your back and even then that's him wasting almost all of his perks slot for a meme build.

Also, as soon as you down 1 person with the one shot no one else would try it. Would downing 1 person highly situationally a game be worth running this perk? Probably not. Using something like MYC is completely in your control, not situational, and could trigger MULTIPLE times. Even with my change MYC looks superior so I don't see that as an issue for the change.

I like the debuff idea but it just seems too weak. Like hitting someone while carrying is VERY situational and rarely happens. It needs to be a big pay off. Not to mention once they know you're using it they are never doing it again.

You don't need to keep necroing this post because nobody's commenting on it.

I'm not even sure if that's allowed, not sure about that on these forums but on others I've been on its not.

Firstly, it's not necroing as it's only a post from like a day ago.

Secondly, it is allowed and not against the forums Terms of Service.

It's a thread with significant changes the game needs.

  • @Frozenscum said:

Coulrophobia should be map-wide unconditionally, having effect only in TR renders perk useless and dull, also it should affect only healing, self-healing and mending. Also numbers tweaked to 11/22/33% on tiers.

Thanatophobia should not affect healing (should affect repairs, cleasing, snapping out, chest searching, sabotaging) and have 30% at max effectiveness and be dynamically applied, i.e. 7.5% per injured when 4 ppl alive, 10% per injured when 3 alive, etc.

Fire Up - basically now you have maximum effectiveness when you already have no need in it. All gens done, helping in last chase is not that good.

Tokens should be gained by hooks as well, so you can reach maximum faster during trial. 3 gens done and 2 hooks? You are Fired Up.

Predator should show walking scratch marks.

Hearing footsteps should be implemented in Stridor.

Shadowborn - lessen fog effects for killer on top of FoV increase. T3 removes fog completely no matter how much bottles were used as offering. Also works in Dream World for Freddy.

Beast of Prey - Prey should hear heartbeat during chase as if Killer behind their back on top of red stain changes in TS post.

Mad Grit - 1 hit is not too good, totally removes ability to gain points for protection, etc. Since its Legion perk originally - Mad Grit should apply DW on hit on top of all its other properties.

    Edit: some spellings.

    Coulrophobia

That would be completely and utterly broken.

    Thanatophobia

That's basically the changes I was making.

    Fire Up -

I could see including hooks for tokens.

    Predator

That would be completely broken as well.

    Stridor

That would be a nice change. Although I'd rather have the breathing be louder than adding footsteps since it would equate to the same thing but still fit the perk thematically.

    Shadowborn

    I like the idea.

    Beast of Prey

    That might be too much

    Mad Grit

Protection hits aren't realistically happening that much to begin with and even if it did block them you are losing an entire perk slot for it. Applying Deep Wounds would be trash. Deep Wounds in its current iteration is a meaningless effect. No one would use this perk if that was its change.

  • I like the changes for MoM. This said, the registration for body blocked hits does need a little improving. There are many, many times I'm literally feeling the other survivor up, take a hit and it still doesn't register it as a body block so I don't get a stack for WGLF.

I think you should start looking in face at reality and understand that ghostface will be a dlc with only the killer, or you start to understand it or when it comes out you will be disappointed

    "face at reality"

I said multiple times that I could be wrong already. You seem so set in your mind that it's only a killer.

Provide me ONE piece of evidence that would support it only being a killer.

What LITTLE evidence we do have makes it MOST LIKELY to be a full Chapter. Not that it will be, but that it is MOST LIKELY. You are missing my point.

@Blueberry I wouldn't be so sure about that though.

Their official roadmap has ended with the plague. They can do whatever they want right now.

My guess is that they still want to create new survivors, and killers to keep the money flow in but instead of creating full chapters, they come up with these little paragraphs.

Besides, DbD community itself wanted BHVR to slow down the chapters and focus on the game's health and that's what they are trying to do right now with dedicated servers, hitboxes etc.

It will be a good surprise if we get another survivor and a new map but imo it is highly unlikely.

"Their official roadmap has ended with the plague. They can do whatever they want right now."

That's true, they can. However that said, what's more likely, they end up continuing the same routine they have for 3 years or a completely brand new scenario that has never happened before? So yes I could be wrong, but logically based off their history my reasoning is the most likely.

"My guess is that they still want to create new survivors, and killers to keep the money flow in but instead of creating full chapters, they come up with these little paragraphs."

They could do this, but they have never "replaced" Chapters for single survivors or killers. They have always been "extra" if you will, on top of the normal release schedule. It would be an entirely new action for them.

"Besides, DbD community itself wanted BHVR to slow down the chapters and focus on the game's health and that's what they are trying to do right now with dedicated servers, hitboxes etc."

Which is reasonable. However I still think they'd value more immediate money flow as the most important factor which would be more Chapter releases. You could be quite right, just saying it isn't the most likely scenario.

"It will be a good surprise if we get another survivor and a new map but imo it is highly unlikely."

I'd say based on all the evidence and history we have the most likely scenario is that we will be getting a new map and survivor. There literally isn't a single bit of evidence to point otherwise aside from we havn't seen any leaks yet. Seeing as we weren't even supposed to get the leaks we have got so far and given how far away the Chapter still is it's still extremely normal that we wouldn't have map or survivor leaks yet.

no because ghostface would be added to ash, then ash + ghostface = complete chapter, the map would be missing, however, perhaps with ghostface they release a variant of some map, as they did with leatherface

That would be a completely different scenario than they have ever done before. Basing off their past actions this would make your scenario highly unlikely.

With releases like Leatherface they were not counted as a killer for the roadmap and when they release new chapters. He was a surprise exception and the same could be said for Bill.

this is the definitive confirmation that ghostface will be a chapter like Ash and Leatherface.. 😥

Idk. That would imply we have ANOTHER killer, survivor and map still coming at the same time then.

  • I seriously can't get a single normal game. 10 games in a row, all with DC's on their first down or before they even go down because of something stupid like they just didn't like the map. They literally said this in after chat.

I've stopped using any good addons or offerings as they are all getting wasted.

This is also almost solely a survivor DS issue. I've only seen maybe 1 killler DC in a 3 day time span and I play all day every day.

  • I posted a change for it here:

These are many changes to killer perks that I believe would make them much more viable than they currently are.

I ended up going for just an unlimited duration.

@Blueberry "Biggest mistake I see Spirits make is not using their phasing enough. You should very rarely be running someone down unless you just caught them in a bad spot away from pallets or came out of phase and you're really close."

I disagree with this. I find it better to chase them down for the first hit so they are easier to find in phase walk. If you phase walk all the time, then it will be down for those times you need it. And if you are doing it after a healthy survivor they can more easily juke you. Of course, you don't want to be fully chasing someone from a distance, so using phase walk to close the gap is a good idea but you shouldn't be doing it all the time either. You want to use it to catch up, then chase like a normal killer for the first hit, then you should have phase walk again and you can hunt them down very easy when injured.

@edgarpoop "Don't use Stridor. If you can't hear them without Stridor, you're too far away to do anything."

I also disagree with this. Stridor is AMAZING on Spirit because you can track from a distance independent of scratch marks, and there is no way to hide cries of pain. It also hard counters Iron Will, which itself hard counters phase walk. If you don't use Stridor and a survivor has Iron Will and knows how to juke, you will have a very hard time tracking them. Stridor beats this and makes it impossible to hide from phase walk. It's also very powerful in corn, and let's you find injured survivors very easily. You just have to know that the survivor will sound closer than they really are.

"I disagree with this. I find it better to chase them down for the first hit so they are easier to find in phase walk."

At high ranks against event remotely non potato survivors that is literally never happening. That is only viable against bad survivors or low ranks. That's like saying you think running people down for the first his as Huntress with no hatchets is viable, it's not.

"If you phase walk all the time, then it will be down for those times you need it."

I find the cooldown to be decently fast even without addons so I don't run into this issue.

"And if you are doing it after a healthy survivor they can more easily juke you"

That's why the first hit is always way harder to get than the second one. Yes this makes phasing for the first hit more difficult, but it is still infinitely easier than running them down as a Huntress with no hatchets.

Like I said before though, this is based on playing at rank 1. You can get away with a lot of non optimal things at lower ranks or if the survivors are just potatoes. It's like when I'm deciding if a perk is good or not. I'm basing that assessment on the assumption that the survivor is a very good player and will try to work around it, not the assumption they will play dumb.

    Blood Warden:

When an exit gate is opened, upon hooking a survivor, this perk calls upon the Entity to block the exit gates for 40/50/60 seconds. Hooking survivors while Blood Warden is activate will cause the Entity to block the exit gates for an additional 30 seconds.

Hopefully you're right about this Blueberry because I just got a game and this happened...

    https://xboxclips.com/NMCKE/39d9d954-f63d-4033-80bb-415421220f30

You missed this part of the new perk.

"Now that we have the EGC this should block the exit gate switches instead of the gate itself."

So the EGC kill would never actually happen.

Also, that situation in the video is HIGHLY situational and is VERY rarely happening. The majority of the matches the perk won't even end up activating or it will simply be waited out while they just hide with its current iteration.

I've never played Cannibal, one of the few killers I haven't unlocked. Nurse is such a strong killer, MoM means nothing to her. I've never had trouble getting tier 3 with Myers. If you use the ones that make it take forever to get tier III who's fault is that?

I don't approve of the last DS nerf, it made the perk useless. It's not a perk I run often either. But now it's trash.

The current DS is still extremely strong and at the very least A tier. Its previous version was completely broken, that isn't even debatable.

  • Keep in mind though, if it really is just a "paragraph" so only a killer, those don't count as the scheduled "Chapter" (killer, survivor, map) that comes every 3 months. So if it is JUST a killer then that would technically mean we ALSO would have an actual "Chapter" still coming around the same time.

This leads me to believe The Ghost will indeed be a full "Chapter" (killer, survivor, map) because we know how limited their resources are and I couldn't see them in the next month and a half pumping out 2 killers, a map and a survivor. That would seem like a lot more content than they usually pump out. Especially since they literally just got done releasing Ash.

"Sidney's House Woodsboro" would also make the most sense for a map as it fits the theme of Haddonfield and Haddonfield is one of the few maps remaining to get a second version. It coincidentally would make a lot of sense.

True, True. Ambush needs more of a lunge. and her crouch needs to be maybe slightly faster.

I actually think what ambush needs is the sound removed from it. The crouch doesn't need more speed, it needs its view point to be raised to match her actual height, it's currently very limiting because of how extremely too low it is. If you increased the speed of it no one would ever be uncrouched which isn't its purpose.

“They like to keep killer perks at a low power level” is what I was referring to. I like your remember me idea.

Oh well in reference to that, BW may be at its strongest point ever, but its strongest point is very, very weak and situational. I don't feel like saying its at its strongest point is really saying much, even if it is a true statement. There's a reason no one uses it outside meme builds.

I do still think “They like to keep killer perks at a low power level” is a very true statement.

  • It's difficult for them to see both sides when they only play one side.

  • Another update: Changes were made to a few perks.

  • I'd like Brutal Strength to make gens regress 50% faster as an added affect rather than increasing the pallet break more. Although it could probably get both and would still not be OP.

  • Not at all. Just pointing out why you're confused.
