what is stopping you from forcing them out of the gate yourself
What's stopping you and your friends just walking out instead of standing around and wasting everyone's time?
Or is it that people who do this are just a pack of badwords?

I think the easy "Fix" would be to remove the dash, that's the gripe most killers have with the perk.
You can keep your free hit which still works with the theme of being "Hard" but you can't act like you're in the world tag championship.
Yeah it exists.
-
They are giving killers the option to Mori dying survs soon who are last alive during ecg which will speed up some games. Eg survs is dying no hook near by so you slug for 3 mins you can now Mori.
My solution to time wasting survs would be to increase the collapse speed if survs are within "x" meters of the gate.

That depends. If we're talking about a competitive sport then it is not a good reason.
If we're talking about broader customer appeal then possibly. If you want a wider customer base than whether it is overall healthy for the game, attracting and retaining players then it is a consideration.
This is just a video game afterall. When the devs finish their health update we'll see how it goes anyway.
Well if your only appeal is to have easy mode for survs then enjoy your 4 v generator simulator.
Not every survivor can be saved.
The game is about simple pressure, if a killer doesn't get a hook before 2 gens are done then camping really only becomes the viable option unless you have some end game build.
For a killer behind there is very few options to create pressure, kicking gens is meaningless, chases can be endless with d.h so why not use bait and go fishing, at the least you'll get 1 kill. Most of the times you get another or potentially 4.
There are plenty of things i don't find "fun" in dbd but i understand that that is how tactics work.
-
Could have one that slows down hook progression.
I think most of these are moot until stomping becomes baseline rather than a bandaid perk fix.

As far as i am concerned that perk doesn't exist.
you nerf yourself by sacrificing gen defence or chase power for the potential to snuff a boon, only for it to pop up somewhere else. As a base kit option it is a good idea, as a perk is it pathetic. It is just a way to protect whoever's baby COH is and they can now just point at the perk and not actually nerf or delete the stupid thing.
Yeah i won't be using it either, they could have not nerfed coh into the ground had they given killers the options to limit the lifespan of CoH

That's what people wish would happen. The dev's never said or even hinted that that would happen like they did for bt base.
I know, the disconnect between the devs and the player base is so wide you could drive a cruise ship through it.
I said for months bones needs to be stompable, now they release a perk for it, something that should have been baseline.

That's also a SWF buff so no, it isn't a good idea. It is even stupid for solo q because people will just rip you off the hook in the killers face more.
I've heard the trade off would be killers would get corrupt baseline which would be a fair trade and negate swfs getting something for nothing.
And at least the person on the hook wouldn't just be insta farmed only the one getting unhooked.
-
Better dark than orange like Trump farms.
-
I've only seen a bit of it when watching Coconutrts on youtube, and the ground looked very bare in alot of spots which would be awful for trapper mains.
His traps need to be baseline camouflaged with whatever the map is not perfect but black/brown traps on snow and sand are just stupid.
-
Just kids being kids, NA NA NA you can't catch me. If they're inside the gate go punch walls or stare at a corner, just ignore the fools.
-
The developers encourage it or else they would take steps to stop it.
-
When it's repetitive it's bullying. i.e click clicky baggy baggy.
That's what tells me either you're a 15 year old who wants attention and if i feel like it you'll get 100% of it until you die. (Then you'll complain you got camped and tunnelled)
Or i'll ignore you if you know what you're doing and smash your friends instead.
It's like seeing a shirtless David, you think you're a hard man then prove it.

Prime time is generally when all the twitch swf clowns come out, and so does my starstruck.

The devs said that they are reluctant to give any estimates of release dates, because in the past stuff would often get delayed, and then people got extra salty and flaunted the date that things "were promised to release". On the plus-side, they normally only mention stuff, when it already got a certain percentage done and they know that it would release in the forseeable future, same reasons as above. So we will just have to wait and see, don't hold your breath, but its worked on right now.
But then when they use "it's someting we're looking at" but providing no time frame is worse than i'd wager than not meeting an expected date.

Pretty much sums up my dbd, except i use Anna
Language warning.
But seems odd devs won't show mmr because it creates toxicity, but allow flash macros and tea bagging.

I totally miss hawkins. Some people don´t like indoor maps. Because some killers powers don´t go well on them. BUT stealth killers are perfect for those maps.
They could, maybe add a higher/lower chance to get a indoor map. Depending on the killer someone is playing.
Pretty much this, it would help alot of m1 "stealth" killers

Yeah I think that’s related to the huge and over generous hitbox huntress‘ hatchets have. They should make the hitboxes smaller, then dead hard plays won’t be confusing anymore.
If it's hit you squarely in the back that has nothing to do with hit boxes, it's a D.H carried my crap play, and nothing to do with a killer skill issue, or bug or whatever way you want to justify it, it's a perk that is busted, and if it was'nt busted it wouldn't be on the top tier perks of use, or in the line for "changes".

Im not a developer but I’d recommend you to use the bug report section and explain that you want that fixed. It’s definitely not intended that killers can hear the sound of a hatchet hitting a survivor when they actually dead harded to avoid the hit.
It's not a bug, it's dead hard negating a hit that has landed.
Your running from me in a straight line, i throw, you see it coming, you d.h straight forward, the hatchet is still travelling towards you but d.h negates the hit. So not only have you gotten distance, you've negated a hit because of D.H
So in this example, it's D.H saving a useless surv in 2 ways and this isn't even uncommon, it's garbage survs making garbage plays and still coming out on top. It's not a killer issue all the time.

Now that I'm playing surv even low MMR survs are running meta perks and doing a poor job of it. But if I play killer I get Seal Team 6 De-pip squads running full stacks of the trash because my MMR is too high 🙄
But that's when you get the most laughs, had a surv d.h to reach a window vault, then got the hatchet in the back as there were vaulting. I nearly fell over laughing.
-
Just do them after reset or after you've just ranked up. I've wasted more time in game waiting on survs leaving than any hide or chase challenges.

Place it at windows and on grass. So simple
So if i place a trap in a corridor and you d'h over it its my fault for not putting the trap onto somewhere you cant see from a small distance, as opposed to you having invulnerability to it?
Edit:
If i throw a hatchet it lands it makes the noise of landing but because of dh it doesn't register its a skill issue for me?
-
I guess i'm one of the few killers who use bbq for vision and not points. The points are the bonus, were as i guess alot see it the other way.
-
People doing basement hook challenges?

@legacycolt said:
It’s getting nerfed because many killers don’t know how to deal with dead hard. I wish more people would evaluate their own plays and realize it’s their own mistakes that lost them a match, not dead hard.
Also dead hard is necessary because of many killers, killer add ons and flawed map design.
Oh like that trap i herded you into and you dead harded over it. Many many skills, yes it's my fault for not placing the trap at the end of your dead hard.
Yeah right.
-
Borrowed time baseline would be a good start.
Stop solo's getting farmed off the hook.
-
My character would be De Veloper, and in my head they make fair and balanced decisions in a timely manner.
-
What's a head cannon?
-
Don't mind Ormond, has a good balance of open areas and safer areas.
Much better than Trump fields.
-
A hatchet in the back?
It's pretty much a map wide downer.

"Do bones" used to be good advice, the went into meme status. Now it's back to flimsy as hell counterplay.
And soon you'll need a perk to do that. Which should have been baseline upon release. Not this band aid the devs are throwing at it.

Exactly.
But now Killers might realize that parrotting a phrase from an unfunny animation-series might not be the best thing to do.
Because, if "Do Bones" is valid Counterplay against NOED, it is also valid counterplay against Boons.
If my doing bones permanently removed it like yours then you'd be able to parrot that, but as of whenever that patch is i'll need a perk to do so.
-
I used to enjoy him when i first started, then i tried Anna, she's just better.
I'd think an "easy" fix for him would be to give him 2 shots or more shots before reloading, there would still be downtime between shots for when the spear comes back but not as long as the reloading mechanic.
-
End the game as fast as possible for them.
-
The only issue with boons in general is that killers need the option to stomp them and now they're releasing a perk to do so, which should have been baseline when boons were released.

Someone put Sluzzy's face in there please, because the rest of his comedy act is going to be great.

Can't say i really hate on many of the survs perks.
Dh has it ups and downs at my killer level i see many idiots using it and running into crates and getting little value from it. The funniest use ive seen of it is dash to a window then get the hatchet in the back after vaulting.
BT is pretty much mandatory, and i think it should be basekit for survs it sucks in solo to be unhooked then get insta downed and farmed with zero control.
UB is a 50/50 perk if you're not slugged it has no value, i don't slug if i don't have a choice if there are no hooks near ill slug you, and if you the last man you'll be camped so you wont get much value from it.
DS is a interesting perk i think it should be basekit as well, but with conditions, and a limited time frame.
But these perks are mandatory to a degree because of the state of the game, My opinion is that gen repair is to fast and regression to slow, which leads killers to need to tunnel survs out rather than kicking gens, so if killers need to tunnel/camp then survs need 2nd chances to counter that.
Until some of the base game is changed messing with the perks won't no much other making certain perks o.p/garbage which will change perk usage but not the idea behind the meta.
-
Well considering the dbd fb page posted this little video on their page. i think the devs are only encouraging it. Yeah it's a bit tongue in cheek but why draw attention to tea bagging.

Maybe they should fix the existing R.E Killer. Zombie a.i was developed by a zombie coder.

We've had like maybe 4 iterations of ranking systems now throughout the years and MMR is probably the worst one of them all.
If you can't see your mmr you can't complain about match balance, Ranks you could.
-
The meta really requires it, if you don't have 1 dead surv by 2/3 gens your done as a killer.
Unless you're running a noed no way out build, and then you still need to get lucky.
-
And there are some people that think you need a ar 15 to defend your house as well.
There will always be extreme people who will argue anything is rational.

There's somethng about his laugh that makes me want to turn my sound off.

Big and expansive as Temple of Purgation.
Just for the record, both those maps are the median map size. There’s something like seven maps exactly that same size including them, about 14 maps which are larger than them, and 15 maps which are smaller. I think this myth that “Eyrie is a huge map” is an optical illusion caused by it having a bright outdoors with long lines of visibility and a large main building. It’s actually an average size map when you measure it though.
Personally I think Eyrie is most similar to Ormond. They are both exactly the same size maps, both have bright outdoors with a large main building, the main building has a second floor runway overlooking a lower floor area, both have god pallets on their second floors and breakable walls on their first floors, and they both have a generator smack in the middle. And the rest of both maps outside their main building are mainly typical tiles and a shed. I’m pretty sure anybody who hates one map hates the other.
Not at all, as a Huntress main i love Ormond, it has a lot of nice open area for hatchet shots, Crows is just packed with objects you can't throw over. Like every corner is an object that is head high.
-
I think for Trapper players it's looks a bit rough, it needs more grass.
-
Can we have the same option to speed up ecg for idiots standing at the gate?
-
There are simply to many variables in this game for it to be balanced.
Until the dev's decide on what their core market is there will never be balance.
Take World of Warcraft for instance, for a long time many pve talents were nerfed because in pvp they were op, so pve players had their talents gutted because of hardcore pvp. Now WoW has separate talents that are specifically for pvp and only work during pvp.
Until the dev's decide on solo vs swf and pro vs average we won't find balance. Nerfing X,y,z because the top 5% of the dbd population find it stale is just stupid, the other 95% can just cry?

Again, you can play as David for all of the challenges if you want to. Literally nothing is stopping you from doing this. I'd really like to know why you're so concerned that not more challenges require David to be played to complete them. I mean I can take a wild guess, but I'd rather let you explain why this bothers you so much.
The simple reason of parity.
The tome about David, even has the title "The importance of being king" But yet you have the option of not using David, yet there are 4 Twins related challenges that require you to use the Twins, it's not optional.

Can you imagine all the Killer-sided slowdown perks that will need to be nerfed if they adjust gen speeds. I think half or more of Killer perks are slowdown perks now.
Still a lower number than the 40+ they are doing, which won't change how the game is played.
