Can’t wait!

Don’t mind me, I’m just noting down the names of people making homophobic / transphobic remarks so I know who to ghost on this forum.
-
Most of it comes out of spite. I’ve had matches where the killer has gotten multiple hooks and still disconnects as we open the exit gates lol. Instead of just taking the BP that they earned, they’d rather throw a tantrum and disconnect because we were about to escape. What’s hilarious about this scenario is that the survivors still keep their BP post-trial, so you’re just punishing yourself by doing it. The ego is a strange thing.

*everybody debating whether an LGBT character should come into the game*
Me looking at the current roster:
-
They should tie it in with the RE chapter and give us this...
-
I play on EU servers and 10am to around 11pm is normally pretty chill and fun matches for the most part. But anytime past midnight where I’m against / with people from different time zones it’s normally a complete sweat fest. *shudders*

Omg that's so fetch
I can’t believe they don’t realise that on Monday - Sunday we aren’t homophobic. I mean, that’s just, like, the rules of being a decent human being.

I don’t think any of the survivors are unattractive. The fandom is just full of fussy sluts. 🥰

Spine Chill is literally one of the strongest perks in the game. It counters already weak killers completely and makes vaulting even easier + more efficient.
Try fighting a survivor team who are all using spine chill and you will see what I mean. The distance needs to be lowered to 16m because right now it's just too overpowered.
Could you imagine a killer perk that let you know if survivors were in a conal 36m direction of where you're looking? It would be absolutely busted and nerfed on Day 1.
You should try out a career in stand-up, you’re hilarious. 😜
-
2017 against a Huntress and I found it terrifying. Oh to go back to the days of finding this game creepy.
-
As somebody who plays as Myers A LOT, Spine Chill is not an issue for me. It’s fine how it is.
-
His only necessary change is to give him a rocket launcher. I don’t want to reel survivors in, I want to blow them up. 😏
-
I find killer more relaxing than solo queue tbh. When I have annoying teammates match after match, I’ll just play killer for the rest of the day.
-
A wholesome thread? I’m pretty sure this is against forum rules. 😌

I mean you can practice with friends. Anyway the only way to get better with killers is to play vs real people. As with NPC you are going to be playing against people that are programed to play a certain way. Won't make sense to learn abilities on bots. As you can learn the abilities from those offline version, but the tactics you use won't work with real humans.
And if you don’t have friends that play this game? 🤷🏼♂️
It’s not about getting GOOD with the killers, it’s about learning how their power works. I’ve already listed Nurse and Trickster as examples. The only way to know how / where Nurse can blink to during a game is to actually practise it. The problem with doing this during a real match is that you’re not really participating because all you’re doing is practising blinks. Which results in a very boring match for the survivors as they just have to do generators and leave whilst having little to no interaction with the killer.
I never said the offline mode was for getting good at a killer or to learn tactics. It’s solely to just get comfortable with how that killer operates. Then once you’re comfortable you can go against real survivors and learn different techniques.
-
@hardscopelord said:
I agree it should be added way back then . It’ll be awesome tbh that they are trying to make the npc act like a good survivor and practice also.
but the thing is its really hard job to do (specially when the devs have a hard time fixing bugs you know thats kinda impossible), the devs basically would have trouble fixing difficulties and for them to make the hard real difficulty the devs would have to make the npcs know how to loop or when is the best time to get off a gen etc which is gonna be hard to implement those and other known mechanics like looping in a jungle gym and stuff.
still would love an offline mode
I don’t think it’d be perfect. But I wouldn’t expect them to put up a strong fight lol. I’d mostly like it just to learn how to play with certain killers. Trickster, for example. It would have been nice to have been able to play against NPCs at first because I’ve noticed that on console (not sure about PC) you almost have to aim downwards for the knives to connect. Whereas I wasn’t doing this in my first few matches and kept missing so much. 😂
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
No because this game is too complicated. Those NPC would just be programed to play a certain way. It would not be like playing a live match, since everyone plays differently in this game. Some people pull out extreme moves out of no one. An NPC would just be like playing against a rank 20.
I never said it would be like playing a live match. The whole point of it is to be able to practise using the killers power without having to also focus on stopping generators being fixed etc.
I know for a fact this would have helped me out when I was learning Nurse as I had to throw games to learn how to use her blinks, which can’t have been fun for the people I was against as I wasn’t hooking anybody I downed as I was just trying to work out how far she can and can’t blink and how long you have to hold the charge for etc.

Never said anything about balance.Balance was good this year.Infact better than every other year.
Chapters/content......Not that great.
But the title to the thread says this was the worst year for DBD, which it wasn’t. Content included, it still isn’t the worst. As I’d rather have no new maps and a lack of content than broken mechanics / perks.
-
So you’d prefer to go back to times when broken hooks didn’t respawn? And Mori’s activated on the first DOWN? Where exhaustion regenerated whilst you were running so you could use Sprint Burst multiple times during a chase? And so forth and so on.
For those of us that have been here since the beginning...

That's why I found it weird. I did make the mistake of not reading the entire thread, since I find a lot of the posts both here and on reddit being the same "x bad y good" without much substance, so my bad for assuming she was just rude before you explained the situation. In that case, ######### them. A stupid game < pets.
No problem mate. A lot of things can be misinterpreted online. I completely understand her being irritated at me being AFK, because that does put a damper on the match. BUT she was still pissed at me after explaining and even banned me from her chat when all I said was that my dog was choking. I didn’t say anything insulting towards her. I went in there to be a decent person to apologise for not playing and now I wish I didn’t bother lol.

You aren't a dog owner if this hasn't happened at least once.
Also, "Greedy guts". This made me laugh way more than it should have 😂
Glad your dog is okay. I can say that I've been in this exact situation before.
Seriously though, for a dog so small, he eats like a beast. You’d think I never feed him. 🤣

Fair enough. Depending on what she said to you, you can always report her if it falls under twitch TOS.
Nah, I’m not petty enough for that. I found it more funny than anything as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Normally people would go from being annoyed at the AFK person to completely understanding. I just couldn’t believe she still said I ruined her last game of the day. ☠️

Do you happen to have a screenshot of that by any chance? I feel like situations like this, make more sense when there's an image of it. Because I find it really odd someone would be rude to you for helping your dog.
A screenshot wouldn’t help. Because she didn’t type her responses, as she was live so she just replied with words. The only thing typed in the chat was me saying why I went AFK. I also don’t think I could even provide that anymore because when I go on her stream the chat box just tells me that I’m banned. So the text is no longer available.

I honestly find that to be quite suspicious. No one would be mad for tending your pets if they are in need of help. I'd really like to see the chat for that.
I've went afk multiple times because I have pets, one of them that were elderly, and never got flamed for it.
Naming and shaming isn’t allowed here. So no, I won’t be providing ‘proof’ - if you think I’m being banned because of this, well, you thought wrong. If you don’t believe me, I don’t really care. Kindly leave the thread. 👋🏻

From what I read in the post, the streamer seemed to be complaining about OP being afk before OP told them the context of why he was afk.
A lot of people go afk for no serious reason. Cant really expect people to know the reasoning someone goes afk.
I literally said in my OP that I explained to her why I went AFK and she said it wasn’t her problem and that I’m what’s wrong with the community. She also personally thanked me for ruining her last match. This was all AFTER she knew I was AFK because my dog was choking. There’s no way this thread should have been taken out of context. Yet... here you are. 😳

I probably should have clarified, but my dog is completely fine now! Somebody left the garage door open (not me) and he managed to help himself to some of his dry food and the greedy guts was eating so fast that he started to choke. But he’s okay now and is sat on my bed giving me “please don’t be mad” eyes. 😂

Another post about "TTV bad".
I would also be annoyed by having someone afk in my team, it's a 4v1 for a reason, not a 3v1 + dead weight.
The TTV part is relevant because she was streaming so I could see / hear everything she was saying about me. Are you seriously telling me that if an AFK person told you “sorry for being AFK but my dog was choking downstairs so I had to leave” you’d blame them for making your game bad? LMAO. GOOD AND BYE.

I’m a veteran player but I would still say I’m a casual player. I want to win, but I’m not a complete sweat who has to stack every second chance perk on top of each other, bring strong items and burn map offerings to win. And then when I don’t win, go off on a tirade. They’re the players I was referring to. It’s not really about being a veteran or not.
I’ve been playing for almost 5 years now, so I have plenty of experience. But for some people, DBD and gaming in general is their life. They act as though you’re personally hurting them when you hit / hook their survivor. It’s ridiculous.
I personally enjoy playing with perks I find fun to use, not ones that necessarily make the game easier for me. I find it more satisfying escaping chases and surviving trials without Dead Hard etc. Whereas a lot of players bring every second chance perk they can think of and when they win, sit in the exit gate waiting to taunt the killer. Those types of sweats are who make the game less fun.
To further clarify. Another reason I class myself as a casual gamer is because I can go through big phases of not playing this game or any game at all. I don’t invest all of my time into DBD or any game for that matter, which I know some people do. I’ve seen a lot of PlayStation players with profiles dedicated entirely to DBD which leads me to believe they don’t play any other games, or at least any other multiplayer game. Which isn’t me at all. DBD is just another game I play when I have the time or feel in the mindset to play.

Yeah those people are terrible. I honestly feel like I see that from more casual players. Casual in the sense of people who don't play all that much. More veteran players, from my experience, are more understanding when things don't go their way. I could be totally wrong though.
Personally I view casual players as those who don't play as often and just pick up the game every so often not so much if someone is competitive or not. Both casual players should still have fun and be accounted for in the game one way or another but the more occasional player shouldn't have as much influence on a games balance imo
(Jusy to clarify being casual is totally fine and I'm in no way trying to talk down to casual players)

The people who play this game like their life depends on it are what makes this game hard to enjoy at times. The people that’ll message you to say they hope your parents die. THOSE PEOPLE are what’s wrong with this game. Not the casual gamers who are playing to try to have fun.
-
That if you play on console, you’re a bad player. If you use perks like Self-Care and Urban Evasion it means you’re doing nothing to help the team. If you play as P3 Claudette you just want to hide all game and hatch camp. Speaking of the last one, I was paired with a 3-man prior to turning off my messages and I was playing as P3 Claudette or Blendette as people like to say and they messaged me accusing me of hiding in bushes all game because they died. Only 3 generators got done all game which were done by me and me alone. I didn’t realise Claudette had telekinesis and could repair generators from inside bushes? The more you know.
This is a common trait in a lot of players, especially SWF. If they die, it’s automatically the random teammates fault. It’s never their own and they’ll just look for excuses. In my case it was because I was Blendette, so in their eyes that gave them the right to throw the overused Claudette stereotypes at me. Even though they all kept going down at the same time as they kept grouping together against BUBBA of all killers.
They didn’t have a problem with this Blendette saving them from hooks and picking them off the ground though... 😜

I'm assuming you're either new or haven't been lurking around much, but I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't give a #########.
If he doesn’t give a ######### about what others have to say, maybe he should just keep his thoughts to himself in future then? Or was this thread made solely for him and his split personalities to interact with?
-
Another TTV being a crybaby because they can’t handle the thought of losing in a game? What else is new. Some of this player-base are so paint-by-numbers when it comes to their complaints. They could lose to a team of randoms and they’d accuse them of being SWF and how SWF needs to be nErFeD!!!
I watched a few of your matches and I could easily point out a lot of times where YOU made a mistake. But I know from the responses already in this thread you wouldn’t accept that you didn’t play optimally in certain situations.
Also what’s with the voice changer? Are your viewers supposed to feel like they’ve been abducted? 😳

I always turn off messages when I play killer because survivors are way more toxic. I don't got time to sit around and argue with you over a video game.
I feel the same way. I’ve never had a killer message me before. Only survivors. Doesn’t matter if I’m a killer or their fellow teammate, they always find something to complain about. 😂
-
Started terrible and then got better. But I always find the people who play on weekends are more annoying for some reason. 😂
-
You’re not missing anything. It’s a latency issue. On your screen, you pressed it before the killer swung but on the killers side you pressed it AFTER they swung. So the hit still registers and so does the exhausted effect. Similar things happen when you drop a pallet and on your screen the killer swings after the drop, but you still get hit. Or when you vault a window and start running and the killer hits the window and that registers as a hit lol.
I’m not sure this is something that’ll ever be able to be fixed as it’s an issue that can be caused by somebody’s internet connection.
-
The TTV killers I come across (for the most part) are really wholesome and I’ve actually ended up befriending a lot of them. Survivors however? Pass. 🌚
